♥tips and tricks about the prick♥
♥stick yourself on the side of the fingertip
*on the pad of your fingertip has more nerves and is much more sensetive!*
♥alternate the location often
♥adjust the dial of depth
♥wash thourghly!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
this is one time size matters!
i'm about to cry every time i have to stick myself.
any useful information on how to make it less painful would rock my socks off!
i got a new meter and a new lancer
the new lancer is less painful but i only got ten of them to try
i have to use my old ones with the new lancer and it does still hurt
maybe i will try to dial it down a little to see if that helps me at all with pain

♥talk with your health care provider to adjust your insulin dose
♥don't be afraid to add insulin to your oral medication doses, it's easier than swallowing horse pills!
♥take your insulin on time because when you FEEL like you need it it's already too late

type II, that is what all my problems have been from
hummy was prediabetic and thought she had it under control
but now she has a gazillion horse pills to take and watch every single thing she eats
anemic again, too, but much worse than before
so i am trying desperately to get my red blood cells fatter
=p
those b-12 shots hurt me bum so much!
hummy's nonni and father and tia are all diabetic
they only give me bad junk!

thanks, Roachi, i am feeling kind of overwhelmed, to be honest
*hugs*

Well the main thing is your type 2 and not 1. So no insulin for you! Which is fab! :)
But to maintain it, you definitly have to have a lifestyle change.
Honestly harder then it sounds. I've been battling weight for years, going up and down.
But recently i got a wake up call, when i was sick for 3 weeks! I got a really bad urine infection. And it was because i had too much sugar in my urine. :( SO really gotta cut out all the bad habits now. Because i'm only 28 and i really want to have kids some day! And live long enough to see them grow up and have kids of their own!

It's definitly a lot to take in. I was diagnosed at 17. I honestly had no idea, and nobody told me the effects it has on your body, and what could happen to you. I was young and dumb. And i really wish i could rewind.
You'll be alright hummy. Just stick to healthy eating as much as you can! (your allowed a treat now and again) and small portions, and try exercise as much as you can. Are you overweight at all?

I still eat yoghurt. Just the little pots, the fat free ones have less sugar.
OR you can go for greek yoghurt and add fruit to it :).
Yoghurt is very good for you! But yes, gotta go with the ones with less sugar.

How many pills do you have to take??
I use to have to take blood pressue & cholestrol. But not anymore.
I only take Metforman now.

greek yogurt is so hard for me to get used to
the sugar free yogurts make me gag, way too sweet

Lord, i don't know.
metformin
iron
Vitiman C
b-12
b-100
multivitiman
omega-3
i think that is it

---------- Post added 09-17-2013 at 01:31 AM ----------

the metformin is killing my stomach, too
yogurt helps but it's more of a chore now
i have eaten yogurt ever since i can remember

Yeah i've only just got back on metformin. I was on a lower dosage can't remember it's name, starts with G. Gliclazide or something. Coz metformin gives me upset tummys. But they put me back on it because it's the most effective, especially for surpressing your appetite. But it honestly makes me go toilet soo much :(. Hopefully it settles down soon.

I'd just eat it hummy, but in small consumptions. I've never had a nutrionist tell me i shouldn't eat yoghurt. They've always promoted it's benefits over it's cons.

Yeah greek yoghurt is a bit horrible.
I use it on salads mostly with hummus :)
