Ingredients:

-mixed vegetables
-potatoes* (two) (this is optional, but I recommend it)
-spices: garlic & herb, Italian, Sea Salt, Pepper (they all taste very well together)
*If you don't want potatoes, rice or noodles also work well, but they require different instructions)

Steps:
1) Pour a container of vegetable broth into a pot and set heat on low

2)Wash potatoes and then cut them up into desired size pieces, then place potatoes in a separate pot of water, then put on heat high enough to bring to a boil.

3) Take mixed vegetables and place them in a separate pot of water and let them get hot.

4) While other ingredients are cooking turn up heat on broth and season it to desired taste.

5) When vegetables are ready drain them and add them to broth. Before adding potatoes make sure they are easy to break with a fork or spoon. Once ready drain them as well and add them to broth.

6) Let it sit for about 20-30 minutes so potatoes can absorb some of the broth. Before serving test potatoes by trying one to see if it tastes good and soft.

7) Serve and enjoy!
oooo this sounds delicious. I shall add it to the front *ponders category*

I bet that if you thickened it, you could turn it into a stew as well.

Or just add some flour to it.

At least it was good though . But...I think I could've boiled down the whole six-pack and used that rather than three bottles. The flavor was there, only more...light.

I made that vegetarian soup that MercyGrim96: gave!

It was delicious!
However, instead of using vegetable stock, (since most of them use mushrooms and I HATE mushrooms!) I used a vegetarian no-chicken broth and it turned out AMAZING!

I used Yukon Gold potatoes, some sliced carrots (that I sliced myself) and half of a yellow onion. I also added some unbleached flour to make it thicker like a stew (like onsenmark: suggested)

Instead of boiling the veggies, I actually sauteed them too, which I think gave them a better texture.

It was delicious! I would recommend people try it!

Jambalaya

2tbs canola oil
1 lb andouille sausage, sliced

2 cups diced vidalia onion
1 large red bell pepper. (i dice /shred it)
4 garlic cloves
1 bay leaf
1-1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano

2 cans (10oz) diced tomatoes and green chilies
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups uncooked long grain rice
2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 lb shrimp

Garnish/optional. I almost always do the parsley.
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cup chopped green onions

1) boil chicken and let it cool enough to shred.
2) cook sausage in hot oil: 5 mins until brown. remove with a slotted spoon (oil is used in the veggies)
3) add next group of ingredients : onion -oregano. saute for 5 minutes
4) stir in next group tomatoes - chicken, and readd the sausage
5) bring to a boil on high heat
6)cover, reduce to medium heat, simmer, stir occassionally (About 20 minutes until rice is tender)
7)stir in de-tailed shrimp and cook 5 minutes
8)put in a bowl
9) stir in parsley
10) top with green onions
11)Serve
12) Enjoy! :D

i'd be careful of using brown rice in place of the white. it adds lots of extra cook time.

I guess it depends on who's making it? Some people literally just drop a lump of meat into a pan and that's it. Me, personally...I like to dress it up. Like putting layers of cheese in it....
