I'm here now. Good evening purkles! We just got back from another weekend in Albuquerque with my in-laws.

I've only been fishing on here lately and occasionally catch up on my FAQ thread with people's profits and any new catches, but I read in the event FAQ that there were boxes given out on the 11th if you posted in the mayor's thread and they're supposed to open, but it's too late to get one now. Did any of you get one and know what's in it?

Hiya FawN! :) The items were these cute pieces of birthday cake some of us have on our heads. There's also a piece of chocolate cake, but it's in the special event store.

Ok good @ the birthday cake item! I bought the chocolate one yesterday when I saw it in the event store, and I prefer it to the red one.

So it's been super cold there too lately Rue? (EDIT- I mean Jess! Well, I guess you're both in the same place, but I mistook your avis with the purkle curly hair Rue used to wear!) We've been under 10 degrees a lot lately as well. Our heaters can't keep up!

I wish warm weather would hurry up and get here. I am so ready for winter to be over.
I woke up this morning freezing, and looked at the heat, and my son had turned it down to 63. I didn't think I was ever gonna warm up this morning.

It's supposed to go up a whopping 28 here today.

Our house was already 'asleep' when I got up because it's on the work day schedule so it's sitting around 58 indoors - but I'm in my basement on the couch with some blankets and the space heater on.

The only problem is that I have to keep leaving the warm room to do silly thinks like eat, use the bathroom, and laundry :/

It's freezing here too! The outside temperature never got above 20* today. And as we've been discussing in the quest threads, I can't afford oil, so am keeping my house really low, right around 60, although since i was off today, I did turn it up to 65* today.

I can't WAIT until the good weather comes back.

Hm... I don't know how cold 20 degrees Fahrenheit is since I live in Canada, but today was really cold where I lived. It was around -20 degrees Celsius. My hands and face were freezing as I walked outside to and from my bus stop ;________;

*peeks in* I'm back to work today, so that's why I've been so quiet. It just seems like i never get around to these sites until after lunch because I'm always so busy reading blogs and MySpace and whatnot in the morning.

I have a hard time with blogs. I have some that I subscribe to, my purkle friends, but I don't seem to ever have anything interesting to talk about.
