@Vix: They were very involved, had amazing currency systems. They usually had games/competitions that were actual games instead of stuff the mods ran in threads. There were backgrounds, four times as many regular new items, and the EIs were obviously very well made/were fun to get.

Yes. Other than the fact that the Phoenix Jubilee was a severe, and utter, disaster, they were very expensive and Mene couldn't afford to run them anymore because of the entitled little members who wouldn't donate anything, yet expected free $3000 events.
