Age Twenty-four. Many people mistake the male for being of an older age because his face is often adorned with a stern look, which tends to make him look about thirty-five.

Hair His mid-back length black hair has a bluish-purple hue to it and is more than often worn back in a messy pony-tail (but he does tend to let it hang freely).
Eyes His face is donned with a beautiful set of blue eyes that resemble a slender almond shape.
Build Akiyama's nose is a bit too angled and tends to look large in comparison to other noses (but it does suit his face, nonetheless). His slender lips are often drawn tight or seen with a serious expression; however, they do know how to bare a grin and smile. He has a rather muscular build, but is on the slender side of the bulk scale. Akiyama's shoulders, thought broad, tend to reflect those of a woman; most assume this is due to his petite looking size.
Skin tone Hailing from Dromskra, Akiyama was blessed with pale peach skin.
Height He stands close to six feet tall.

MENTAL & EMOTIONAL



Personality Akiyama is a rare breed of man as he operates on a different wavelength. His patience levels are through the roof and, despite being a male, he is an excellent listener. Akiyama often has a calm and insightful approach to situations. He has a good mind that seeks out the truth, making him a pursuer of knowledge. His perfectionist nature goes nicely with his rational mind. Although he is often filled with emotions and expression, there are times where Akiyama can come across cold and emotionless. Because of this, people might not know the individual as well as one might have hoped.

He tends to pride himself in being cautious upon entering foreign situations and will often take a back burner to heated conflicts. He's not really one to add fuel to a raging fire.

Some would say he's a very poised male. He has a friendly aura that often lures people to him. His charming antics and charismatic ways are highly noticed by others, which is why he is fairly well-known. Akiyama is also highly involved and very committed. His unwavering loyalty and devotion to helping others is what most people enjoy about the male. He is not only compassionate, but he is also understanding and very kind. He appears to have high tolerance levels and will often befriend and root for the underdog. He believes that everyone was born with a purpose and that their destiny can be altered based on the interactions of those around him or her.

Despite his gender, Akiyama pays great attention to detail. He's the type of guy that will remember your birthday and will ask how your family is doing. He is, in simplest terms, people-oriented. This trait is often enhanced by his selfless desire to help others. He has a huge capacity for responsibility and is always ready to assume more than his fair share of the work load. He's generous and, because of his devotion to helping others, Akiyama often represses his own needs. This inability to show aggression for himself causes a bit of resentfulness in the lad, as he hates his inability to turn people away. Although these qualities are often good, people can take offense to his constant sense of devotion. Meaning, not everyone likes how much Akiyama interferes with their personal lives. He also have a very strong presence and can come across as possessive.

Although Akiyama is driven to help others due to his sympathetic and affectionate nature, the male does have his not-so-hot downfalls. He can become too attached to people, which causes emotional flare-ups. He also tends to be one of those non-stop talkers when he is surrounded by people he knows. Akiyama also has a tendency to fail at meeting deadlines. He also, at times, can appear very self-centered, though this is not usually the case. The male is also terrible at adapting to new situations. He enjoys following a very straight-forward and well-followed path. He prefers systematic and diplomatic approaches to life and will shy away from spontaneous interactions. He's also horrible at making decisions as he fears he might offend someone if his desires to not align with those around him.

All in all, Akiyama is a well-tempered and friendly guy. He has a big heart and doesn't seem to understand the meaning of the word "no." He is driven by those around him and can appear to be very submissive, heeding no attention to his own desires or needs.

Mortal Alignment Lawful Neutral; he believes in honor, order, and tradition. He does not, however, believe in good or bad. He fights for what fits into his code of ethics.

Motivation Akiyama's only motivation is for the kingdom he serves. He fights for what Rashmaal wants and he will do all he can to protect the princess.

Fear(s) Failure is his biggest fear. As much as he hates spiders and snakes, the man would rather face those than lose of fail. The fact that the princess has escaped him is causing him much grief to the point where he is almost depressed.

Likes Traveling, nature, and tranquil places. Having a mother who was very spiritual and a father who traveled, Akiyama has learned to embrace both sides of life and find comfort in those things. He loves of the outdoors often keeps him outside far longer than he probably should be. Thankfully, the man does not burn easily.

Dislikes Snakes and spiders. He has never liked such creepy things. He is also not overly fond of anthro-people. His disliking links back to his youth when he was wrongfully conned by a fox-anrtho-human. To this day, he doesn't enjoy trusting them for he knows they're still half-wild.

Strengths
  • He has the ability to keep his tongue still even in the most offensive situations.
  • He has the ability to be selfless and self-sacrificing.
  • He is very protective of his knightly kin.

Weaknesses
  • Tends to lure in too many romantic partners, which causes more drama than he wants to handle.
  • His selfless and self-sacrificing antics tend to get him in trouble.
  • His emotions, though a great gift, will more than likely bring about his demise.



SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals With his mother being a temple-woman, Akiyama grew up learning to love the sky gods. He often prays for rain, sun, and wind. He does not shun other's beliefs on religion and he has no qualms with saying prayers to other god's, even if they are outside his own scope and region.
Virtues Akiyama shows restraint in all that he does for he knows that if he become too quick or selfless, he will lose his honor and justice. Charity, or sacrifice, is another virtue of the young guardian. The day he went to sacrifice himself for his friends is the day he received the heaven's great gift. To this day, he still believe in generosity and helping those in need. Akiyama has diligence and patience, knowing that he cannot win by rash or quick-tempered movements. He knows that to succeed, he needs to stick to his ethics and be at peace with what happens around him. His loyality is fierce and his bravery knows no bounds. This man has little envy and pride within him.
Sins Lust is his demise, at least it is what caused him to lose sight of the princess. Other than that, Akiyama does not have many other sins to his name.



ATTIRE



Head/Neck He enjoys wearing a white scarf around his neck, as he loves the feeling of the piece blowing in the wind. This scarf is sometimes accompanied by a white headband. The scarf and headband are his trademark looks, as is his purplish hair.
Chest/Back Akiyama prefers to don himself in the color black. He usually wears a black kimono, but, from time to time, he will slip into a black button down long-coat with form-fitting black pants. As one might assume, Akiyama rarely wears his armor, as he finds it too stiff to fight in. Opting for his kimono, he prefers the looser outfit, which tends to allow the male to conceal more weapons. He also admits that it fits him better than the suit of armor, commenting that the shoulder pieces are too wide for his feminine frame. (A complete set of his outfits can be found here.)



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Katana. There is something wonderful about this sleek and majestic weapon. It's speed is perfect and its grace is without limits. It's able to do what man cannot and it extends his reach so that he can attack foes from more than an arm's length away.
Weapon 2 Scythe of Destiny. This magical weapon was bestowed to him the moment he became selfless in a feat to save his friends. The heavens sent down this magical scythe, which grants him with the ability to use magic. Only when holding the scythe can he conjure up magic.
Magic Empathy - This is the ability to discern what others are feeling. Precognition - This is the ability to see things before they occur. Scrying - This is the ability to locate objects, people and places by use of a pendulum, detecting rod, mirror or crystal. Psychometry - The ability to learn about the past of an object by touching it. Mediumship - Ability to see and communicate with the dead (i.e., ghosts).



COMBAT ABILITY

Hand-to-hand [Average] -- Never one for using fists, Akiyama has the average skill of a fist fighter. He will always opt to use his weapon, so he sees no reason to perfect this skill to a mastery level.
Melee [Perfect] -- Why he can fight with a sword or a scythe, how can he not be a master at melee attacks. Not to mention, he is a knight and a trained warrior. If he were not a true master in the art of fighting, he would not be worthy of protecting the young princess.
Ranged [Poor] -- Akiyama has no experience with ranged attacks and simply cannot assault from on far. He has never used a bow and he does not know how to throw knives or blades.
Magic [Above Average] -- His magic use is fairly easy to understand. When he wields his scythe, he can use magic. Those his magic is blessed by the heavens, it is nothing superior or capable of crippling men or mountains. It is just mere magic that can aid its user.
Mounted [Average] -- During his youth, Akiyama spent some time on horse and he does know his way around the creature. Though it is not his preferred mean of attacking, he is more than capable of using his scythe while on a horse.

Family & Birth
Akiyama was the first born child to Blackwell Aras Allen (Arallen) and Saiki Kiyomi Riva (Kiva). Arallen hailed from the city of Redbend and grew up as one of two children. When he was of the proper age, Arallen set off as a traveling merchant. His journeys and trading brought him around the globe, which is why the male has such a soft nature to him (these traits were passed on to his son). It was during these travels that the male encountered a woman in Dromskra that would forever change his life. As if destined to be together, the traveling man decided to ask the woman if she would accompany him on his journeys. Sadly, the woman declined as she was not interested in living such a free life. Kiva was born and bred a priestess as she was the only child to a pair of priests. Pleased with her decision to stay in her homeland, her parents allowed the woman the honor of finding her own lover, as they knew she would put her faith in the gods above the reckless nature of the lustful.

As the years went on, Kiva soon realized that her heart longed for a man that lived life to its fullest. A man who was kind and passionate in all that he did. Kiva was a selfless woman who sought out a compassionate and friendly man. To her luck, the perfect man came wandering into her life. When she discovered it was Arallen, she immediately told her parents. Although they were not pleased that she would not marry a more educated man, they were thankful that Arallen had kept his body pure and only wanted to court their daughter. This act, to them, was noble and it earned the young pair a great many blessings.

About a year later, the two were wed. A little less than a year later, they had their first child of three. Akiyama had his mother's pale features, but his father's dark hair. As his mother would say, "Akiyama was born with his father's kindness and free-spirit, but he got my good looks and selfless heart." His family picked the name Akiyama as it meant mountain. They knew that there son would grow up to be as strong as a mountain and that he would always reach for the sky above him. He would be a dreamer and a free-spirit who had a strong base and great moral core that would keep him grounded and safe.

The Saiki's other two children are Rika (Saiki Riley Malika) and Garth (Saiki Garth). Rika is ten years Garth's superior and Garth is only eleven. Rika is currently engaged to Kaegin (Morri Kaemon Gin).

Birth to 12 Years
To some, Akiyama's life might have been deemed boring and worthless. To others, Akiyama's life helped mold him into the man he is today. But neither set of opinions matter, as it is solely up to Akiyama to determine whether or not his childhood had meaning. As one might expect, the male is thankful for all that he had been brought up with. He learned love, friendship, and kindness from his father. His mother blessed him with the lessons of sincerity, knowledge, and reliability. Between the two, the handsome lad learned of courage, hope, and light. Neither one of his parents were considered sinister people. Each were both very loving and were blessed by the gods for their faithful devotion.

Being the first born to a pair of inexperienced and youthful adults, Akiyama was more or less a lesson that new parents were forced to learn. Though they asked a great many questions, the two knew not everything could be asked. Learning was a crucial road of the adventure of life.

If one were to ask Arallen and Kiva if they would do again, they would simple laugh at the foolish question. "Though our son was not given the best of the best, we did what we must to keep him healthy, safe, and strong. We regret nothing for we know that he turned out to be better than we ever would have imagined. He's our blessing and we love him dearly, no matter." As assumed, the Saiki's love for their son was deeply rooted. Nothing, not even his somewhat rebellious attitude, could sway them away from their happiness. He was their pride and joy, as were his younger siblings.

As a little tot, Akiyama was brought to the temple with his mother. There she would preform her duties (she's a Stormbringer) while her son played happily in the pen beside her. Everyone used to comment on how sweet he was. Someone even mentioned that he might, one day, grow up to be a politician of sorts. He was personable and very friendly, two traits that were rare to find in a newborn. Not only was he kind and sympathetic, but he was also peaceful and without screaming fits. A smile was always on the baby's face and, even if he got hurt, he would immediately resume to giggling. People often commented that Akiyama was "The happiest little baby I have ever seen. He's quite the blessing."

As he grew and became a little man, Kiva realized she wouldn't be able to keep a watchful eye over him anymore, as Rika had come into their life. Arallen, who had always had a soft spot for kids, decided he would bring Akiyama on his travels. Despite Kiva's scorn, the father and son pair set out to explore the world and open their eyes to a new sect - The Journeymen. Having a knack for understanding people and a thirst for knowledge, Akiyama became a great tool in his father's belt. Whenever the boy fell silent, Arallen would know something was afoot. If the lad was gay and giddy, the male would know they were in good hands.

Having Akiyama with him also proved to be a great lure to getting people to the cart for trading purposes. Being quite the chatterbox, Akiyama was always telling people stories about his travels and his mother's kind touch. He would give a friendly wave, which would draw interested merchants near. It seemed as if Akiyama was doing all the work. Arallen would always joke that he was blessed to have such an inviting child at his side. Together, the pair was able to rack in more than enough money.

Able to return home from about an eight month long trip (Akiyama was about eight at the time; he started traveling with his father around the age of six), the boys were greeted with open arms. Kiva and Rika had grown close and were overjoyed to see the boys were finally here to stay. Akiyama was enrolled in a priest school (the same on his mother belonged to), but his father pulled him out less than four months later. Kiva, believe it or not, agreed that the priesthood was not Akiyama's calling. Together, the two searched for a teacher that would suit their son. This search brought forth an educated man by the name of Morri Hanzo Aiden (Hazen).

Hazen was a new face in Dromskra. He came with one other person, his son Morri Kaemon (later Morri Kaemon Gin or Kaegin) who was the same age as Akiyama. As if destined to be together, Akiyama and Kaemon become the best of friends. The two were always together. They would play together, learn together, eat together, and even sleep together (in a nonsexual way). Hazen took on the daunting task of educating the boys, who, at this time (they were about nine) were more than rebellious and wanted nothing to do with learning. So, Hazen bribed them with an art. They were to lean under him until the age of fourteen and, all the while, they would learn the ways of the sword. Enticed by such an offer, the boys said yes in a heartbeat. To them, this was just a game. Little did they know that the sword would prove to be more than just a toy, but that tale is for later on.

12 Year Friend
As one would assume, the two became the best of friends. Akiyama and Kaemon became an inseparable pair. Wherever one went, the other was sure to follow. Learning together under a great teacher, Hazen (he was actually licensed teacher), the children began to get a grasp for the ways of life. Although Akiyama tended to catch on faster than his comrade, he never let this show. To Akiyama, equality was everything and boasting was nothing more than a sin. He was not a haughty man and, because of this, Kaemon would poke fun at him saying things like "You could really be something better, but you always stay back. You'll be the finest friend yet!"

Having a mother as a Stormbringer and a father as a Journeymen, Akiyama decided he would seek out a sect that would not upset either parent. It was actually Kaemon who suggested he and his friend follow the Order of the Fist and Shield, knighthood. Approving immediately, the two begged Master Hazen to teach them the ways of this group. Sure enough, and without a waver, he taught the two boys of a code unlike any other. Fighting for the weak and defending the underdog. These were the laws Akiyama and Kaemon decided to follow.

Months turned into years and, in no time, it was Akiyama's 12 Year Birthday Eve. Kaemon, who is about a month younger than Akiyama, was granted the privilege of giving Akiyama a new name. Since their first meeting, Kaemon had picked the name he was to bestow upon his best friend, Ronin. As he presented the name to Akiyama on the day of birth of his friend, he explained its nature and said, with tears in his eyes, that "Akiyama is, without a doubt, a wandering warrior whose blade has no fear of defeat."

Although Akiyama does not use this as his primary name, it does not mean he does not adore it. In fact, it is quite the opposite. Not wanting to tarnish the name or allow anyone else the honor of calling him Ronin, Akiyama only allows Kaemon to call him by the name. Akiyama states that it is this way because, "Gin and I share a special bond. I cannot allow anyone to come between us. Though born apart, we are brothers at heart."

No less than a month after Ronin was given to Akiyama, Akiyama was presented with the task of naming his friend. Gin was given to Kaemon because, according to Akiyama, his friend had a "heart of silver." Morri Kaemon Gin would eventually decide to be referred to as Kaegin; however, Akiyama still calls him Gin.

Obtaining a Holy Weapon
By the age of fourteen, Akiyama had become the man he was going to forever be. His father took him about and showed him the horrors of life as well as the joys. A woman was produced for Akiyama, but she ended up dying of a heart attack before Akiyama was able to engage in any pleasurable activities (because of this, he is fears loving people and is still a virgin). Although his day was more than awkward, it did have its perks. When he was allowed to pick but one gift, he, without hesitation, choose the sword that belonged to his great-great grandfather.

Upon picking the katana, he was enrolled in the militia and was to serve and protect his people. Put under the wing of a handsome young looking man by the name of Blackwell Cai Ilynn (Cailynn), Akiyama was to start his new life as an apprentice to a master swordsmen (twenty-two at the time). Already having a basic grasp for fighting (he had Hazen to thank), the male flew through the ranks and eventually landed as Cailynn's right hand man. Kaegin who, too, chose the military lifestyle, worked right along Akiyama, serving as Cailynn's left hand man.

The three were eventually removed from the militia and were sent on to patrol the nation. Cailynn, Akiyama, and Kaegin were more than excited to accept their duty to serve and protect. Embracing the new job, the eighteen year old Akiyama set off on a journey that would forever change his life. His strength, thought not the strongest muscle-wise, laid in his heart and charm. His speed and nimbleness were further enhanced as were his witty tactics. Although he was not the brawn of the group, he was, without a doubt, the well-spoken and keen leader.

Four years had passed since the three had become patrol men. From time to time they would escort caravans, assist hunters, and even aid the wary back toward the cities. Although they were all kind men, they had earned themselves a nifty little title as the "troublesome trio." Granted, their troublesome ways weren't because they were ill-hearted or evil. No, they were troublesome because whenever an enemy came into their path, they (the enemy) would beg for mercy. The three swordsmen were, without a doubt, peerless in their time of reign. And, because of this, Kaegin and Cailynn grew cocky, but Akiyama always kept his pure heart and continued to fight for the less fortunate.

It was one day when Cailynn and Kaegin were sparring that trouble came knocking. A man with golden eyes were leading a group of men toward the city they were to protect that evening. He took down Kaegin without breaking a sweat and Cailynn fell just as easily. Akiyama, who was away getting water, came flying back to see the male swing his blade to deliver the final blow and take Kaegin's life. Panicking, the male thrust his blade toward the enemy, knocking the spear from the yellow-eyed fiend's hands.

Heart racing, but in the right place, Akiyama told the man that he would be his opponent and to pay no attention to his fallen comrades. In a final act of compassion, he demanded that his friends seek out help. Reluctant to leave, the two eventually limped off. They would later run into an army and beg with their lives that the troops follow them.

While the two were busy working up a rescue mission, Akiyama was holding his own ground. At the age of twenty-two, Akiyama had become one hell of a swordsman and even surpassed his superior, Cailynn. Fighting tooth and nail, Akiyama finally took a blow that knocked the wind from him. Just as he was laying down to rest, the white light that was before him seemed to call out to him in a godly sounding male's voice.

Confused, but eager to save his friends, Akiyama reached outward and seized a long shaft that had a curved blade attached at the end. With his sword nowhere to be found, the lad popped onto the balls of his feet and prepared himself for his last stance. It was almost as if luck was on his side because the swing that came next seemed to cripple the enemy. Just one blow and they were defeated? It was unbelievable. Jaw ajar and body broken past the point of mending, the handsome fellow collapsed in a pool of his own blood. When he would finally come to, he would be in the arms of Kaegin and Cailynn with a scythe strapped onto his hip.

To this day, he does not recall the fight he had and still does not know how he is alive. He remembers greeting death and he finds it hard to believe that his soul was saved. Nonetheless, he is thankful and, to this day, he fights in the name of Alos and the ever-changing destiny that lies before man. Although he is the holder of the Scythe of Destiny, Akiyama does his best not to use the weapon as he sees it as being arrogant and boastful. He only fights with the scythe when his blade is no longer able to fulfill its duty.

Quest for Knighthood
Compared to the rest of his life, this is, by far, the easiest aspect of it yet. Upon awakening from his comatose state, Akiyama was greeted by a group of people called the Rashmaal Royal Guard. Kaegin and Cailynn were then shooed from the room for they were no longer needed. Sad to see his friends go, Akiyama was able to force a friendly smile on his face as a way of saying thanks.

With the two men gone, Akiyama's attention fell on the Rashmaal Royal Guard. More specifically, protecting the young princess of Rashmaal. He embraced his duty with honor and promised he would never let the princess fall or fail.

Still, to this day, he still hates the fact that he was so easily taken in to serve as a knight for Her Majesty. It didn't seem fit. It was almost too easy and it left a bitter taste in his mouth. Nonetheless, Akiyama had become an official member of the Rashmaal Royal Guard. Serving for only two years, the young adult is still trying to understand his role in the grand scheme of things. He often wonders if there is more to being a knight than being hand-picked due to the ability to wield a sacred weapon. With his heart set on a quest for knighthood, Akiyama spent the first two years of his service proving his worth to the Queen. Although he is not the strongest member of the group, or even the fastest, or even the most beautiful, Akiyama likes to believe that he is just as important as his kin. His destiny, he believes, is up to him and he will carve it as he sees fit.

Extras Akiyama has never once thought about the princess in a romantic way. Their age gap is too great for him. And besides, she's a princess. He's just a guardian. They can never end up together. Personality Hannibal is one of those guys that you either love or you hate. He's charming, suave, and popular. When he enters a room, people can't help but turn heads and stare. He's handsome and he knows it. He's rich and he shows it. Hannibal's silver tongue and smooth moves often cause women to swoon and men to roll their eyes. Men tend to hate him; women often love him. The way he walks shows off his arrogant grace, but in a way that almost makes him appear human. His smile can light up a room and his sad eyes can make strong men cry.

There is absolutely nothing shy and meek about Hannibal. Loud, rowdy, obnoxious. Center of attention, flirtatious, bad boy swagger. Yes, he has all those traits at his disposal. But aside from being a player, Hannibal is also very honest. Almost bluntly honest. He's also prone to being 'butt hurt' over things that involve trust and respect. If someone betrays him, Hannibal is the first to fall off the face of the earth and avoid you. He hates being let down and he hates getting hurt.

On the flipped side of the coin, Hannibal isn't the kind of guy to betray you. He'll always be there for you, whether you want him to be or not. His best friend is Halvard Fylker and he would die for the man. Hannibal has spotted Hal money and has gone out of his way to protect the guy. The bond between the boys is stronger than a friendship -- it's brotherhood. Hannibal is the kind of guy to cancel a date just for the sake of being there for a friend in need. Motivation Even though his mother has moved on, Hannibal still fells obligated to please her, more so now that Halvard sacrificed his life on Hannibal's behalf. Hannibal wants nothing more than to make his mother smile and be proud of the man he's become; he wants to became that man on his own terms, with his own rules. With Hal gone, Hannibal has stepped in to take over his friend's role. Never again will someone die because someone didn't care.

Fear(s) Losing his best friend, Halvard. Not necessarily by death, either. Hannibal would be crushed if anything came between their friendship. If he thought losing his mother was bad, losing Halvard would be a million times worse as Hal has been with Hannibal since the beginning. Sadly, since Halvard's passing, little to nothing scares Hannibal anymore.

Likes Sexual activities, gold, red meat, gambling, drinking, and hanging with Halvard. Hannibal is all about having fun and doing such fun with good company.

Dislikes Losing, blood, and murder. He cannot stand losing a bet or money. Furthermore, he hates blood and murder. Witches aren't something that bother him, but the idea of a human dying pushes him right over the edge. The last time he saw a dead body he curled up into the fetal position and rocked himself into numbness for five hours.

Strengths
  • Wealth. No matter what happens, Hannibal will always have money. Perks of having a rich ancestry. About five generations back worth of money is all within reach of Hannibal. This money allows him to have top-notch gear and weapons. It even allowed him to get his signature customized scythe.
  • Charismatic. Without a doubt, this is Hannibal's best strength. He can talk to anyone and almost everyone will fall in love with him. Even if you hate him at first, you'll probably walk away wanting to be the guy. He knows just what to say and, if he doesn't pull it off, he'll just laugh it off. He's very well-versed in the world of talking and pleasing.
  • Sexual deviant. There is no one better than Hannibal, or so he claims. He knows exactly how to please a woman and he can last for hours.

Weaknesses
  • Spoiled. Probably one of his greatest weaknesses is that he had everything. He could have become anyone or anything, and instead he chose to screw around and goof off. He's bright, but not as smart as he should be for someone with private tutors. During his youth, he didn't believe in learning and often got out of it. Nowadays, he regrets his childish mistakes and wishes he had spent more time looking at books than breasts.
  • Emotionally driven. Some would argue that this is good, but it isn't. Hannibal is the first to break down and weep when things get too hard. He's easily frustrated at his lack of knowledge and handiness. He's all about the people and the relationship, which angers his employers. People think he's all about socializing and incapable of lifting a finger.
  • Showoff. When it comes down to it all, Hannibal is a showoff. He's flashy and flamboyant. He flaunts his looks and riches. Because he does this, opportunities escape him or he misses the boat. But in the end, they call him a showoff because they know he doesn't need the money he can earn from hunting witches.



SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals Religious has never been something Hannibal has followed. Does he believe that something watches him from above and keeps his mother and friend company? Sure, but he's not sure who it is. On occasion, he'll talk to the heavens and ask the clouds how his mother and friend are doing. Other than that, that's the extent of Hannibal's religious views. As far as morals go, he's never questioned things. He does what he likes and if it feels good, he'll do it even more. He indulges in money and lustful activities, but that's about it. He's fiercely loyal when it comes down to it. He's very accepting and open, not judging people for their past or present. Hannibal believes in redemption and second chances. The hunter is also very familiar with heartache and betrayal, but knows that man can be corrupt and irrational. He's also willing to give someone another try and often looks for the good in people. He would rather spend money on a dying philanthropist job than gamble it away for rich thugs. Sure, he keeps a lot of his riches, but Hannibal has supported over a dozen soup kitchens and children's homes. His mother was all about not for profit work and Hannibal has picked up her kind habits.
Virtues Some might say Hannibal is temperance in his ways. He knows restraint and when to pull back from jobs. He's wary of his actions, especially after turning over a new leaf. Persistent beyond belief, Hannibal refuses to back down or quit. Why, not even death can stop him from fulfilling his dreams and wishes. He will succeed in pleasing his mother and Halvard. He won't take his dying breath until he does. Alongside that, Hannibal is rather kind and enjoys friendship. He trusts without prejudice, unless he is betrayed. Even so, he does give people second chances, hoping that they won't hurt him again. Because of this, Hannibal has become quite a patient man. Yes, he has his reckless, spur-of-the-moment antics, but for the most part, he is pretty calm. He would prefer to find a peaceful solution than seek out violence. Forgive and forget means more to him than full-on vengeance.
Sins Greed is, without a doubt, Hannibal's biggest downfall. He's a rich kid who lusts for even more gold than he already has. Ideally, he wants to build a castle out of gold and he will take on any job, crazy as it might seem, to continue earning riches and jewels. Another sin on Hannibal's list is his lust for all creatures with breasts, assuming they have a pretty face and can hold a decent conversation. Wrath isn't really his style, as Hannibal shuts down around hateful conflict. He isn't envious either, especially after Halvard's death. He used to be a jealous man, but when his friend gave himself up to spare Hannibal's life, Hannibal decided it was time to change. Hannibal is a tad prideful, but he's far from having sloth-traits. He's motivated and willing. By no means is he gluttonous.



ATTIRE



Head/Neck When Hannibal is just being himself, he doesn't like to wear anything on his head or neck. Only when he's being the Archer will he wear a hood to mask his face. He also wears a mask over his eyes to further hide his identity.
Chest/Back Hannibal wears a cropped shirt of chain-mail atop a simple black cotton shirt. Essentially, he wants to protect his heart should someone ever try to stab him there, hence the chain-mail. Over the chain-mail he wears a simple black and purple cotton shirt with a lace-up collar. Hannibal owns a black leather jacket that he sometimes wears if it's cold or raining. Strapped across his back is the sheath for his scythe. It is made of black and brown leather with golden clasps. The sheath for the scythe is a reddish-brown leather holster with purple roses along the edges. All of this sums up his usual look. He only dons the black sleeveless leather vest with a hood and cloak when he needs to change his identity. On the back of the vest and cloak are a giant purple insignia of the Fylker family crest, a rose woven around a cross. The insignia was hand-stitched on and the threads uses fade from deep purple to lighter tints of violet. The cross part of the crest is made of silvery-purple string and it shimmers if the light hits is just right. Picking up Halvard's bow, Hannibal has modified the bow to collapse so that he can keep it in a sheath that matches the one his scythe is carried in.
Arms/Legs Black leather gauntlet with silver knuckles over a pair of black cotton gloves. A chain-mail wrist brace ensures his wrists don't snap out of place while he's out hunting. A reddish-brown leather belt with a golden clasp that keeps his drawers up. He also wears a purple scarf around his hips to keep his stomach warm and to give it another layer of protection. His pants are tightly woven cotton (jeans) of blackish purple. Around his legs are purple cotton braces that keep his knees from getting screwed up from all his running. With the extra weight on his person, Hannibal took extra precautions with his body. Knee-high leather boots of black protect his feet. Tipped with a metallic silver plate, he can have something get dropped on his toes without them being crushed. The shoes are also waterproof thanks to blubber and fat.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Weapon 1 Traditional Recurve Bow and its quiver of 24 arrows. Sleek and functional, Hal's old bow is capable of being used in hand-to-hand combat, as the bow is made of durable materials. The bow is blackish silver with silver edges that he detailed himself. Each of his arrows are custom-made and painted black with forest green fletchings. The bow has been modified so it is now capable of being collapsed.
Weapon 2 Flechettes and holster gauntlet, both of which belonged to Halvard. There are standard flechettes as well as tranquilizing flechettes.
Weapon 3 Collapsible scythe. Hannibal custom ordered/modified this scythe to suit his needs. In its collapsed form, it is about two feet long and can be sheathed in a 6-inch x 4-inch leather case. When he tugs it from its holster, the blade is nicely tucked into the handle of the scythe. Grasping the handle and giving it a good flick will release the mechanism that will extend the blade from the shaft. From there, Hannibal can yank the handle and extend the scythe to three different lengths of 2-feet, 4-feet, or 6-feet. His scythe is also able to be disassembled. He can remove the curved blade and use as a boomerang or blade. The handle, having a spear-tip, can be used as either a spear or a pole.

Ranged [Excellent] -- Thanks to his scythe's ability to fire blades, he can shoot things from afar. He also has his lasso-whip, which extends his range. In addition to that, Hannibal is a pretty decent knife thrower. Since Halvard's death, Hannibal also took up wielding his friend's bow. Although he's not perfect, he is pretty damn good.
Magic [Average] -- Seeing as he deals with witches and other odd tasks, he does have some skill fighting them. Sadly, he has no magical powers himself so all his attacks are purely human in nature.
Mounted [Excellent] -- Although he lost his old horse about five years ago, Hannibal has taken a liking to his new partner, Bedivere. Prior to Bedivere, he was losing horses all the time. Then, one day, he found a beautiful mustang in the fog and decided he just had to have it. After trying for two weeks to woo the horse, he eventually gave up. Three months later, when he was trying to flee, the horse came to his aid. The two have been inseparable since the.



BACKGROUND



Kingdom Affiliation Nibaru. There are a ton of different people in the kingdom (think 27 million), but the kingdom's territory is small. Meaning, everyone lives atop one another. Poverty and corruption runs deep in the kingdom. There's no middle class; you're either rich or you're poor. The city is overrun by monopolies and the lower class is taxed heavily, whereas the rich hardly pay a dime's worth in taxes. The kingdom is run by a board of men; 12 in total. Each one owns a different fraction of the nation and governs it as they see fit. All 12 governing counties are very similar, for the most part. A few are less corrupt and have a very bleak middle class that is trying to survive.

History Sometimes it is hard to really go backwards when there is much pain, suffering, and lost in the history that now defines that man you’ve become today. Though still bound by lust, greed, and riches, Hannibal has come a long way since he was a young adult. He know fights for what his good friend Halvard fought for – for peace, justice, freedom, and truth. Sure, monetary compensation plays a vital role in his willingness to take a job, but Hannibal has really reformed. He is no longer in it solely for himself. Rather, he now sees things with a wider lens. He understands that his actions, though seemingly meaningless, might be the grain that tips a scale.

Hailing from the nation called Nibaru, a crowded but proud and high-producing nation, Hannibal learn how to be acclimated into the fast zone at a young age. People lived atop one another and everything was about time and how time was money. People were driven by their pursuit of wealth, as wealth determined success and a luxurious lifestyle. Having come from probably two of the most influential people of Nibaru, Hannibal’s childhood was everything one could ever dream of.

Arthur Cai Nancarrow married his beloved Elaine Angharat Kay when both were only twenty and eighteen years of age, respectively. The two were destined for greatness – or so the world believed. Sure enough, the two started to grow into their famous roles. Arthur moved up in the chain of command in politics until he eventually made it to the very top. He was dubbed the right-hand man to the governing leader. More or less in bed with the leader of the Nikar-Nibaru, the central sect of the twelve united cities under the Nibaru empire, Arthur eventually was elected to governor.

Meanwhile, Elaine sought a more philanthropic role. She sought to save the poor and so she developed her own infirmary and safe house for those that had nothing. Her clinic was free to those who made little to no money. She was well-loved and well-respected, which did wonders for her husband’s career. With Arthur being very surly and strategic, Elaine came across sweet and gentle. She truly was his softer side.

The night Arthur finally made it to the top, he and his wife found love in each other’s arms. 9-months later, their little boy, Hannibal, was born. Their pride and joy, the two promised that they would continue to bring Nikar the changes it needed. They were working on removing the poor and creating a middle-class. It would be a long and hard struggle, but they had the heart and resources to do it. Arthur came from wealth, oh so much wealth, as did Elaine.

Little Hannibal, though a handful, was to receive strict schooling so that he would have the brains, the power, and the capability of following in his parent’s footsteps. Only, Hannibal seemed to have issues with his schooling. He was rebellious and crying out. Constantly causing trouble and forcing tutors to leave in both rage and upset. Concerned for their child, they sought to throw Hannibal into the public school system, hoping that the contact with others would ‘break him.’ Sure enough, it did. And it came in the form of a boy by the name of Halvard Fylker.

Halvard and Hannibal were inseparable. The two literally did everything together. They even spent a great many hours at each other’s house. Thankfully, the Fylker family also came from riches so the two had much in common. And, to sweeten the deal, Arthur and Halvard’s parents were good friends. This only made the two families very proud that their little boys found each other.

As time progressed, and they grew, it became apparent which of the two had the brains and which had the brawn, or rather, the charm. Hannibal has his father’s suave tongue. He could say anything and get himself out of any and all trouble. He could talk the talk and walk the walk. He was a brilliant man when it came to making friends and stopping enemies. Halvard, on the other hand, started to develop quite the brain and the muscle to back him up. Of course, Halvard wasn’t about to let his friend fall behind, so he coached and trained Hannibal so that they might, one day, open a business together or be partners.

It was probably around Hannibal’s sixteenth birthday where darkness and the harsh reality of life really crippled Hannibal. A wonderful liquor-filled party was underway and, to make it perfect, Elaine decided to go out to the downtown market to buy her son the perfect cake. Arthur pleaded her not to go, but the woman refused to listen. She said that nothing brought more joy to her life than seeing Hannibal happy and this cake was what he wanted most. Gathering up her stuff, she left.

And she never returned.

It was all over the news. Everyone knew what happened and they saw how it destroyed the Nancarrow family. Arthur immediately pulled himself out of politics and locked himself in his laboratory. He never emerged and he stopped interacting with his son. At some point, Hannibal dared to venture into the lab and only discovered that his father had left.

Alone, Hannibal reached out to the only person left in his life – Halvard.

However, Halvard was on his way of going into an apprenticeship for guarding and hunting. Unable to convince his friend to stay, Hannibal lived alone in his father’s castle. He tried to go to school but found the faces too unbearable.

And then, when he turned 18, everything changed.

The sorrow was finally gone from his heart and he decided to really live. He got drunk. He got high. He got reckless. He tossed his potential right out the door. He played around. He fooled around. He got in trouble. He was kicked from clubs. He was banned from bars. And, within 6-months, he was thrown from Nikar.

Alone and on his own, Hannibal moved into one of the nearby Nibaru nations, New Sinbart, and opened up his own pub. He enjoyed the influx of wealth and ladies he received. It was fantastic. Absolutely perfect! Only, that only served his nightlife. So, to keep himself busy during the day, Hannibal sought out an apprenticeship. It was hard to find someone who would take him, but he eventually happened across an anthropomorphic witch hunter. Having grown up in Nibaru, Hannibal was used to all kinds of life, creed, and preferences. He cared not for the fur of his new master, but for what the man could teach him.

From 18-and-a-half until the age of 21, all Hannibal did was scout the forests and learn how to use various weapons. Ultimately, he opted for a scythe as he found its range and grace to be ideal for cleaving off the heads of witches.

In no time, he started to build up his fame and, with fame, came fortune. Hannibal was greedy in this regard, only taking jobs that paid him. He worked alone, which made him worth even more, as most hunters worked in groups. Hannibal, having learned from a grand witch hunter, had perfected his skills. He could smell better than the average human. He could hear better than the average human. And he could see better than the average human. Those were just some of the perks that came with studying under an anthro-hunter. In order to survive, he had to learn how to really hone and use his senses to his own benefit. The man he trained under, Mr. Hofmeister, was preparing for retirement and wanted a young and capable man to replace him. However, after soon learning about Hannibal’s lust for money, Hofmeister died with a grimace on his face and the unkind words of, “Greedy bastard.”

From 21 until 26, all Hannibal did was reap the benefits of being a top-notch witch hunter. His wealth grew and grew, as did his reputation of being a playboy. Then, just before his 27th birthday, Hannibal crossed paths with someone from his past – his father.

The two caught up and although Hannibal was furious at him after leaving him, he was thrilled his family was still alive. His father had left Nibaru and was now living in Sanctum, a nation known for its inventions and alchemy. Arthur asked his son to rejoin him in his new castle and take up learning again, but Hannibal refused. He claimed that he found his gold and he wasn’t going to leave it. Saddened to hear his son had no interest in in the Nancarrow name, he left his son with some harsh, but truth last words before breaking all ties with his son.

For a whole year, Hannibal closed himself off from the world. And the world grew dark around him. Witches rose up and destroyed all he fought to protect. Those he once saved were lost to the cursed beasts. Why, even Hannibal gave up. He threw his life away and just wanted to end it all. Hearing how upset his mother was at who he had become had crushed Hannibal. And, in his weakened state of misery, a witch stalked him and took advantage of him.

He should have died, only something – someone – saved him that night. His father. Though still broken by his son’s lack of responsibility and duty, Arthur couldn’t lose his only son. Wielding his own sword, Arthur mowed down the wave of witches that tried to consume Hannibal. Slowly but surely, Arthur came out on top. Exhausted and covered in blood, sweat, and toil, Arthur collapsed. Upon seeing his father like his, Hannibal found his courage and strength. Scooping the man up, he rushed him to the nearest city. Only, it was a city he had stripped dry of riches due to his greed. They turned him away and his father died in his arms. Or at least he should have. Thankfully, an angel from his past found him and helped pull the broken man from his state of despair.

“Hannibal, your father is safe and well now. He will never be able to see again, but at least he is alive.”

The words taunted him, but Halvard never left his side. Hannibal begged his friend to help him redeem himself, to help him right his wrongs. Halvard, though not wanting to give up his ranger life, accepted and took up witch hunting.

They were unstoppable. They were the best of the best. And they killed without charge. It was all ‘pro bono’ for all of Hannibal’s sins of the past. It took about a year, putting him now at 28, to undo all his damage.

It was time the two go their own ways again. It was time they both fulfill their own life’s wishes. Hoping to redeem himself still, Hannibal decided to pledge his life to his mother. His mother worked for the poor and asked for nothing. He wanted to do the same. Well, he would still receive monetary rewards for his labors, but he wouldn’t be as greedy and ask for more than necessary to survive.

It took some getting used to, but within a year (now 29), Hannibal had perfected his art yet again. All was going well and he was doing a marvelous job keeping the land safe. He protected Nibaru to Rashmaal to Sanctum. It was large area, but it was what he needed to do to keep himself busy.

One day, while out hunting, a rider came up to him with a letter. It was from Halvard and it was a request. His friend, a range – the spirit and protector of Nibaru, needed his help? It seemed odd but he couldn’t avoid the note. Riding back to his homeland, Hannibal made excellent timing. Upon arriving, his jaw dropped. Nikar-Nibaru was gone. It was nothing but a pile of ash and waste. Griping his scythe, he moved across the flattened land and tried to seek the truth of what happened here.

Eerie silence surrounded him and Hannibal felt numb. That was until he heard a faint cough. Turning his horse around, he raced to the faint noise. Digging away the debris, he found the charred face of Halvard.

“Hally, what happen?” His words trembled with fear.

“Hann, brother, Nibaru has fallen.”

With his friend’s life fading, he pushed his horse as fast and far as he could. Arriving in Sanctum, his friend was able to get the medical attention he needed. It took about 3-month to heal, but now that he was better, Halvard was ready to talk.

“We were betrayed. The counsel, the twelve rulers, they turned on us. They forged an alliance with another nation, a nation I know not of, and, in the night, the leveled Nibaru.”

Filled with much rage, Hannibal swore that he would fight tooth and nail until they found the truth. The men rode out in search for answers and that’s when Hannibal finally lost the last bit of his sanity.

They were trekking across a razed field. The scent of fresh smoke still lingered in the air. Shifting off their mounts, the men took to the ground and hoped to ambush whoever laid in their wake. Only, when they did this, they were met with a grand army. An army whose colors weren’t visible. Outnumbered and out-skilled the boys retreated.

Halvard knew that there was no way they could both escape and live. One of them needed to fall to save the other. With tears in his eyes, he screamed to his life-long friend, “Never stop searching for the truth for the darkness hides secrets and lies. Find the light and find the truth.” Turning around on his heel, the ranger readied his bow and tried to slow the assault.

No matter how much he screamed, Hannibal couldn’t turn back. His horse refused to let him off. It just ran and ran until they were enveloped in the fog that veiled the forest. Broken, Hannibal decided he would end it all. No longer would he hunt witches, instead he would hunt the truth. He heard rumors of a group of bounty hunters who fought to keep darkness at bay. Setting out to find that band of rogues, he didn’t rest until he came upon them.

When he did finally meet these men, he told them his story. He explained his suffering, his pain. They didn’t want him, but he refused to leave. He passed all their tests. He knew all their secrets. He had the strength and the means. But they didn’t want him. So he made them want him. He made them need him. And, in time, they accepted him and branded him with their mark. They also bestowed his new weapon upon him.

“You claim that you loved this man like a brother. Brother Fylker was a brother to all of us and he spoke often of you. We believe it is only right that you proudly wield his bow.”

The bow felt odd in his hands, but in a good way. All his emotions, all his fears – they vanished. From here on out, he would dress and fight like Halvard, Nibaru’s Ghost Guardian Ranger. He would protect the weak, he would fight for the righteous, and he would seek the truth and avoid the darkness.

For the past three years now, Hannibal has done as such. He has fought. He had protected. And he has saved. Now, three years after Halvard’s death, a message comes to him. It has the royal Rashmaal seal on it. Piqued, he opens it and discovers that the Kiyomo, the Princess of Rashmaal, is gone. Halvard’s mission, as assigned by the king, is to find his daughter and protect her.

Riding on Rashmaal, Hannibal enters the kingdom late at night. He seems out the king and graciously accepts the job.

“King of Rashmaal, I come to you with bad news. Halvard Fylker has fallen but I, Hannibal Nancarrow , shall take his place.” Whirling around, Hannibal shows off the purple rose insignia on his uniform. It’s the Fylker family crest. “Halvard, though not brothers by blood, was my brother by love, choice, and right. To honor his memory, I protect, serve, and fight in his name.”



OTHER



Extras Loves the color purple and has been hit on by men because of it. Even though Hannibal is straight, he doesn't mind the attention he gets from his own gender. In fact, he'll be the first to blush from such things and will actually thank the giver of such flattery before declining the gesture.

Personality Aiden is anything but a typical prince. Raised in a life of being in the eye of the people, Aiden can be highly refined. He can hold himself with the highest reguard, commanding even the toughest of crowds with a single word. He has little trouble gaining attention or respect, carrying a natural air of confidence and strength, as well as an untold wisdom. He is a master of keeping himself a blank slate on the outside, while at the same time being able to communicate solely with his eyes or body language. He is rather bold and blunt when he desires to be, able to speak his mind and heart. However, he is not the type to carelessly toss aside other's thoughts and feelings, taking into consideration various aspects.

Aiden is more in tune with his surroundings than others might think. Especially in his homeland. He is typically the first to note if something feels off, and is often one of the best judges of character in a person. Some refer to it as a sixth sense or a King's Insight. He naturally seems to pick up on danger or ill intention. At the same time, he can be completely oblivious. This occurs when he is lost in thought or driven by his heart. Though at times he is driven by emotion and his heart, he usually attempts to remain level headed and think things through. He understands this is needed of a good leader, though it is not the easiest thing in the world to do at all times. He understands mortality as well as his own in this regard. Life is precious to him and the well being of the people around him.

As much as he might not always agree with war or killing, he understands at times it can not be avoided or must be done. He is strong willed and hearted, often the one to step up and take charge when needed. He is not the type to back down from a challenge, or give up easily, some saying he is quite stubborn. He is often the one to put himself in danger for others sacrificing his own needs and well being for others. At the same time, he is not the type to degrade and compromise himself. He is still a man of honor and respect, and will hold himself to the expectations and reguards of a king. He refuses to bow to any man, especially evil ones. Aiden is a naturally kind man. He has a good heart, as much of his personality shows. He prides himself in having a connection and a relationship with the people, instead of cutting himself off from them. He is humble in this regard, not holding himself as simply 'better' than everyone else because of his royal status. He often is the first to say that he is nothing special, or that he still has a lot to learn within his lifetime. He has often been referred to as a stallion who can not be tamed growing up, due to his more wild and unpredictable nature. He has a love for fun and a good sense of humor, believing things do not have to be serious all the time.

He is the type to play with the kids within the kingdom, and be perfectly composed in a council meeting moments later. He keeps others on their toes and guessing often what he will do next. He can be charming and very seductive when he wants to be. When someone catches his eye, he can become the perfect Romeo or Prince Charming. Though when betrayed or stabbed in the back, he often builds up an icy wall towards the attacker. Once he is wronged, it is hard for him to rebuild that trust with a person and he has a tendency to have a slight attitude with them. This is due to the thought that he forms deep ties. He holds those he cares for close to his heart, and friendship is very important to him.

Because of this, he is fiercely loyal and faithful by nature. He will do whatever it takes to be there for or help out someone he loves. He is a man of his word, if he says he will do something or makes a promise, he follows through with it. Tying back into his trait of being able to appear as a blank slate, he is often one to keep many things inside. He does not wish to burden others with his problems or himself, though he knows when to seek council and let others in...most the time. He does have a mysterious and alluring flare to him. He is a man of his own, and that is what he strives to be.

Motivation One of the major motivations is his kingdom and his people. As their king, he strives to do what is best for them and what will give them happy and healthy lives. Other motivations include various people he cares about: his sister, the princess of Rashmaal, friends, etc. He would do anything for them, even at his own sacrifice. He has various other motivations that tie back into his personality, but these major ones of his kingdom and his personal ties drive him the most.

Fear(s) Aiden fears failing, weather it be his father's memory as the successor of the kingdom, the people of Yuua, or those closest to him. He fears darkness a bit, becoming a monster or a cruel king. Losing those he cares about unnerves him, especially at the thought of it being because of him.

Likes Aiden loves the wild and untaimed, he likes the unknown and has a curiosity for it as well. He enjoys nature and spending time with it, weather it be among the people or on horseback. He likes books, though many do not peg him for the studius type. Aiden has a fancy for the simpler things dispite his royal status, give him good food, good wine and good friends and he is happy. He does not need fancy gold and jewels to feel complete. He does have a like for romance, though he is not a playboy. Stars, the moon and night altogether is his favorite time of day. He could spend hours simply out under the evening sky and never get bored. He enjoys a challenge and bets in the fun of games. Nothing to serious, but he loves a good time.

Dislikes Though he dislikes loosing, he is not a sore loser. He hates being underestimated and looked down upon in various senses. He is not a fan of men or women who are arrogant to the point of only seeing themselves as better than others, or entitled to basically everything. He does not like seeing others get hurt or used. He is not a fan of death, it is unplesant for anyone. He hates disappointing those he cares about, letting down those who are counting on him. There are few other things that he truly dislikes, but if something arises, he will let people know.

Strengths
  • Intuition: He is an excellent judge of character, as well as more in tune with his surroundings. Call it a sixth sense or whatever you like, it is a part of him.
  • Heart and Will: He has a good heart and a strong will, which speaks for itself. He is protective, self sacrificial and more for those he cares about. He will stand against any force, fiercly loyal and strong for his allies.

  • Emotions: He can be a man ruled by his heart, which if not taken care of, can lead him to sacrificing a lot in the name of those he cares about. He pushes himself to his limits and beyond for those who hold status within his heart, his people, or what he is passionate about.
  • Rumors: As much as he would rather not have them around, there are rumors that circulate about him. Mainly though those who have not met him, or perhaps have had some negative dealings who 'claim' connection to him. He has found it hard on more than one occasion to come out from under them.
  • Status: Although in many ways a strength, it can also be a weakness. He is rarely ever able to go anywhere without an escort or guard. He is treated and looked at differently, due to his status. There are plenty of people who would like nothing more than to off him to take over, or to use his status for their own gain.



SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals Aiden has always had an interesting relationship with religion. He himself believes in a higher power, being raised on the idea of the gods and godesses as much of Yuua's people were. He is not above praying if needed, though he feels a bit uncomfortable doing it in front of others. He is not disrespectful of other's religions, and has no trouble showing it. He believes that everyone should be able to believe in something, weather it be one god or thousands. He also believes that one should not be procecuted for their religion or beliefs. He has no quarrels with religion, and believes in the unexplained. His curiosity drives him to wonder how things tick, but he understands there are potential higher powers at work some time, who deserve respect and honoring.
Virtues Throughout his life being raised as a prince to king, as well as his own personality, Aiden has learned to hold himself to various virtues as well as reflects them naturally in his everyday life. Restraint, poise, self-control, abstention, moderation and deferred gratification are all needed traits of a king, the virtue of Temperance. He is one for resolving conflicts peacefully, accepting the grace to forgive, and showing mercy. Trying to create a sense of peaceful stability and community rather than suffering, hostility, and antagonism for his people and those who come and go. His ability to get things done, upholding one's convictions at all times, especially when no one else is watching. His self-sacrificial nature and endless love for his people and the very world show the virtues of patience and charity within his life as well as kindness and diligence. His more modest behavior, selflessness, and the giving of respect to others as well brings about the virtue of humility.
Sins Although he has his little hitches here and there, no one is perfect, he does not reflect any of the sins within to dominant a way, meaning he is not driven by them and can not overcome them. He shows a bit of lust in his attempts for his kingdom, as well as wrath when intensely crossed or betrayed, especially if it causes someone he cares for to be hurt.



ATTIRE



Head/Neck During hotter weather, he will not wear anything around his head or his neck, other than an amulet that has been handed down by the king of Yuua to the prince for generations. During cooler weather, at cooler areas of the world, or on various other occasions he might be seen in a hood or various color ans styles of scarves.
Chest/Back Aiden can usually be found in a light tunic, made of a brown leather like material. It allows him to be cool, while provides some protection and is easily manuverable in within battle. With cooler weather, he will usually be wearing a white shirt, and a more cloth like tunic over it. At nights, he would be found in a white robe like wear that goes down to his knees. It is made of a breathable material, and is soft to the touch. His upper body wear can change, depending on the where and who are concerned. So he can be more formal or casual in attire as needed.
Arms/Legs Upon his arms, Aiden is known to typically wear a pair of armbands. Their similar to the tunic he wears, with various gold colored additions. They can be used in a fight to help lighten blows, as well as protect his hands from more physical fights while perhaps adding to the power and damage behind them. When not wearing the band, he is known to wear a few bands upon his right arm. He is typically seen in a variaty of pants, brown or black in nature. He is typically seen with a series of leather belts that cross over his hips, as well as similar sieries of braces leading up from a pair of boots like the ones upon his arm. His lower attire can vary a bit though the pant theme tends to stay. His belts and leg braces are not always presant though. He is typically seen in boots though, also brown or black in nature.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Twin Blades He is very fond of his twin blades. They are custom made for him, to be strong as well as light. The blades are designed to effortlessly cut through the air, and require minimal sharpening if at all. Decorated in black and gold, the blades are one of his treasures, as well as lucky charms in battle. Good luck for him, bad luck for his enemies.
Weapon 2 He also caries with him at times a series of throwing objects such as daggers, stars, or other such weapons. His favorite, is a Dagger passed down from his father. It is beautifully crafted from gold, the same metal as his swords, and a strong form of crystal. It is light weight and easy to handle. It is foolish to underestimate the ornate tool however, for it is still a weapon, with the ability to pierce through many substances. Within the handle, is concieled what is refered to by those who know of it as the 'Sands of Time". They have the ability to heal any wound that the holder obtains. However, the sands have a major drawback. They are believed to be the way they are, because they are graced by the power of the heavens. This means, that if the gods do not deam the handler worthy, the sands will not activate to heal. Rendering it as otherwise just a simple dagger.
Archer Bow and Arrows Speaks for itself really. He is quite skilled with this, as another form of long range battleing besides the throwing weapons he carries. He enjoys the thrill and simplicity as well as the power and range of these kind of weapons. His father used to take him hunting, allowing for a lot of practice within this.

Hand-to-hand [Above Average] -- Aiden has been fighting since he was young. He loves a challenge, and a good old fashioned fight. Growing up around the army men, he had no trouble practicing and training alongside them. He knows the human body, pressure points, weak and vital points. It makes him quite the opponent even without a weapon.
Melee [Excellent] -- Being a sword fighter by nature, as well as one for daggers and his fists...being advanced in this field is a given. He is not one for sneaky underhanded moves, but he is adapt to using what he has in unexpected and a variety of ways.
Ranged [Above Average] -- He is skilled with a bow and arrow, as well as his aim in throwing weapons. He prides himself on his skill and his aim, and is often training with this skill in his down time or when stessed out. Nothing says stress release like impailing a dummy...
Magic [Average-Poor] -- He may not always be able to explain it, but he understands that it is around. He has some training as in 'studies' about it, especially due to his dagger's history. When it comes to actually wielding it, he is rather on the below average side of things. He would rather stick to his swords, leaving the magic to those who are good at it.
Mounted [Average] -- He is a horse rider by nature, growing up around the animals. He himself is an excellent rider, having raced horses often in his life. When it comes to fighting however, he prefeers to have a steady base. It does not mean he is unable to fight on horseback or such, but adding a varriable such as an animal produces a variable that could be good or bad depending.

History From the time he was able to walk, Aiden's father began to introduce him to the more pronounced side of Yuua. He was introduced to the people, the military, and various other parts of the kingdom. He was still to young to really understand, but most of his first memories are of being with his father when he was not working, going through the kingdom, visiting the berracks and the army men. He enjoyed it, his father was like this big important hero to him, that surpassed the simple fact that he was a king.

As he began to grow, this view did as well. His father was responsible for an entire kingdom, and he was always carrying himself with honor and courage. During his time of being more of the new face of Yuua, he would often spend time with his sister. Their father was gone at times for days at a time, which would leave the two under the care of the army members remaining there, as well as the Queen. He would always make time to play with his sister, dispite his growing busy lifestyle. He never neglected her, supporting her and making sure to be there for her as she needed him.

Family became immensely important to him, and that meant his sister as well as his father. At the age of nine, things took a strange turn. Rumors began to spread throughout the kingdom that Rashmaal had forsaken Yuua. In return, the kindgdom closed its own gates to the other nation From there, things succeeded to get more intense for him. As soon as he showed skill or advancement in his fields of training, his father would up the anty. He was beginning to be pushed, testing his limits. He did enjoy it, and took the challenge as an excuse to better himself and prove to them that he could handle whatever they threw at him. He began taking an intrest in archery, as well as knife throwing.

At first he could not hit the broad side of a house, let alone a target. He almost did put a few eyes out, though he apologized when he did come close to causing injury. A friend of his father's, began to teach him the more appropriate way to shoot. He taught him how bow and arrows were made, as well as how to judge the wind, distance and more. Aiden formed a respect for the man, and began practicing more each day with such weapons. Once he got the hang of it, he excelled. He began training with targets, both stand still and moving. He also even began to experiment with them on horseback.

However, he found this to be quite different then standing still. In the heat of battle, he knew it would take a lot more skill to balance upon a steed, as well as be able to manage weaponary like a bow and arrow. This did not deture him from the fun of it, and such training became more of a hobby for the prince. Not all of the members of the army approved of having a kid around, or of his skill either. At the age of fifteen, one of them a man by the name of Veras, decided to have a little fun and show him the prince was not ready for all of this dispite how far he had come and proven himself already.

They went out on a usual rounds around the kingdom upon horseback. Aiden had begun going with them on these, in order to get a feel for it. Veras was in his squad that evening, making sure that he and the prince were paired up. Veras waited till they were near the center of the kingdom, before he produced a snake from a bag he had captured it in earlier that day. Slipping it by the horses as Aiden was speaking with an old friend of his mothers, it spooked the horse which took off along the street. The one spooked horse however, suceeded in spooking another squad of horses not far away.

Speeding through the kingdom on horseback, the frightened animals began to cause chaos, panic and distruction. Aiden had been trained in riding horses, as well as handling them. He was able to remain on his horse, thinking quickly in order to try and figure out a way to stop the frightened beast. He managed to drive it through the city, apologizing as he went, in order to circle around back towards the other frightened horses. Driving them as a group towards a dead end enclosed by walls. With little where else to go, the adgitated horses were reduced to stomping their hoofs, and moving to and frow.

Aiden attempted to calm them down, but honestly remembers little of that day after that, one of the horses rearing up on it's hind legs. He woke in the castle after that, with a splitting headache. He had a few wounds, but nothing to serious, other than the one to his head. His father furious with Veras, banishing him. Angered by this, the man vowed to get revenge upon the prince who was the cause of all of this. His father was impressed with the way that Aiden had managed to handle himself in the face of danger, how he had thought on his feet, and attempted to protect the people. Even as they were cleaning up the city, many came to thank him and brought him gifts to do so.

He told them he did not need praise or to be rewarded, he had done it for the people, as well as the horses. They were merely afraid because of the snake, and had reacted. He did not want to see anyone get hurt, so he did what he thought was best. He refused to stay in bed for long, or even off of a horse. Dispite his accident, he still loved the creatures. He knew at first, that his sister and his father were unsure about him getting back out there, the accident had scared them both and reminded them a bit of losing the queen. Seeing his son's strength though, and the way the kingdom responded to him and it brought him great pride.

Even so young, the prince was already capturing the hearts of the people. Now growing up, the boy had always been...a boy, adventurous, rebellious and into really just about everything. His intense curiosity led him to explore, and be curious to points that had caused him to be minorly hurt at times. However, he had always been able to pull himself back, to reign himself in under the command of his father, or word of his mother. Having a taste of that speed and thrill now, he began to take more of an intrest in a sport he and his family would often see...horseracing. He began bonding with a horse, a black thurough bread stallion by the name of Shadowfax.

It was said to be a wild horse, brought back as a prize from one of his father's missions. It had refused to let anyone ride it, and many were scared to even go near him. He did not attempt to, but he spent days making sure to take time out of his training to go down and feed the horse, staying by his side. Slowly, the horse began becoming comfortable with his presence. He did not try to force it, but from there he began attempting to get closer, to feed the horse apples and at times to pet it. It refused at first, but once more slowly over time, he began to gain the horse's trust. During this time, the king's condition began to deteriorate.

His passing signaled a change in Yuua, one that extended when the Queen chose a new suitor. Many believed this would signal workings with Rashmaal, but there was no such luck. It was this time, that Aiden received a gift from his father. He was presented with a dagger, that had been his father's treasured posession. Aiden had heard countless stories about it. It had been something that had been passed down through generations. Since he was the son and heir, it was passed to him. The king had no right to it, although he did take an interest in it. Aiden kept it with him, or placed it within a safe place, it became the last piece of his father that the boy had.

When word came to the nation of Yuua, that Rashmaal had a new princess, Aiden spoke with his mother. He had heard various thoughts and opinions throughout his upbringing. His intentions were for the kingdoms and the people, as well as for the princess. Though being young still and intentions high, his own thoughts and feelings upon the subject became lost in transit, and rumors about he himself began to meld with the flow of tensions.

He began getting more involved however with the army still. He began going along with them as well as the new king on quests. With this, he did obtain a bit of experience with people of other nations. However, he also began to get more of an idea of this King's mannerism. Seeing how the king interracted with people, as well as how it was influencing the people of Yuua as well as the Queen. Being a prince still, the king even though married into it, had overall say and power within the kindgom. He did not seem to fond of others speaking out against him or the nation either.

Aiden had become immensly loyal to his nation over the years, and his family. Which led to him heading up the army by the age of twenty. The men already respected to him and looked up to him. Having grown up with them, many of them already knew his heart, as well as his intentions for the nation and respected them. They had become his second family within Yuua. At the same time, as the new king took over, Aiden began to branch out and find his own path. Through his work with the black stallion, he began entering many of the races himself. Some of them spanned outside of Yuua.

Along with this, he began to slip into old habits of enjoying good old fashioned fights, weather it have been with members of the army, or challenges along the way. It was more around this time, that his rebellious side began to surface more. Many questioned if it was in fact because of the new king, or the tensions within the kingdoms. Dispite the many rumors about it, few actually bothered to ask. Many outside Yuua took things at face value, from the rumors and stories that circled.

His growing more wild nature did attract many would be suitors, his looks and more adding to his allure. He was different that the rest of his more colder family. As much of Yuua was stuck in the past, Aiden continued to set his sights on the future and on more. He was ill content with the way things were with various nations, as well as how the people of Yuua were seen. He sought to break them out from under the opression and the shell that Rashmaal, the new king and more had put them under. His position as the hope and future has grown within the people....though not everyone is happy about that.

Extras With the darkness he feels that has set up roots within Yuua, he is more determined than ever to be his own man and live up to his people seeing him as the future of Yuua. However, this does not stop the worry in him of being overcome by the snakes that hide within the darkness...

The brunette princess has peerless wits, yet her true talent lies in her ability to connive. If you believed she was pure of heart and only for the people, you would be sadly mistaken. Helena is fueled by her need for power and she does not mind stepping outside the law.

When she needs to get things done, Helena dons herself with a mask and wears a wig to throw off the enemy. She becomes the assassin she's always wanted. As you can tell, Helena is a master of illusions and has two-faces. Her main face is the face of a proud, noble woman. Her hidden face is nothing but a cold-hearted, greedy killer.

Motivation Why her motivation is her lack of power. Being the second born, Helena knows she cannot have the throne, ever, unless, of course, she seizes it. She intends to do as such.

Fear(s) Helena has no fear for she is fear itself. She's conniving and cruel -- even hell itself shudders in her presence. There is nothing that could mar the woman -- not even the death of her own brother would keep her from backing down.

Likes Power. It is all about power for her. She also enjoys a good game of sip and kiss, also known as liquor and adult activities.

Dislikes Her lack of power and being second born. She has an extreme dislike for Rashmaal, too.

  • Fierce and Fearless. Even in the public eye, Helena always has a fierce personality. To her people, she is without fears or flaws. She is the embodiment of perfection, a true goddess among the people.
  • Assets and Knowledge. Helena is one of those women who knows people who know people. She can get anything she wants, whenever she wants. Helena has unlimited access to knowledge and she exploits it to her own needs and desires. It often leaves her ahead of her foes, thus giving her an extra edge in battle.

  • Rhythm, a good beat, and loneliness. Perhaps an odd combination, but when faced with these three things, Helena's softer side emerges. She begins to sing songs and dance. You could say that, in her loneliness, she has learned to converse with herself through song. This concept though, is a tad contradicting to her fierce and fearless personality. Perhaps it alludes to the truth that, underneath it all, Helena actually dislikes being alone so she goes out of her way to keep herself entertained by singing various songs.

Faith & Morals Since when does Helena have morals? She really doesn't. She does believe in a god though, the god of war. She often finds herself gazing up at his statue and wishing that he would grant her peerless strength and battle tactics. As you can imagine, worshiping such a god probably means she cares little for people's opinions or life. This is certainly true. She has no regard for life as she is only concerned with her own coming of power.
Virtues Diligence. Helena is far from having sloth slow her down. She works hard for what she wants and will not stop until it's done. Aside from that, Helena has no other virtues bestowed upon her.
Sins Pride is clearly her biggest flaw. Wrath and lust fall shortly thereafter. Envy and greed also make the list. Why, the woman is even gluttonous, for she has a soft spot for wine, chocolate, and forbidden fruits!



ATTIRE



Head/Neck When dressed as the princess, Helena only wears a cloak with a golden chair around her neck. The cloak is red and gold in color, much like her kingdom's colors. When she's dressed as her assassin-self, Helena will opt for a black hood as well as a black mask to hide her face. Aside from that, she wears nothing else to veil who she is.
Chest/Back Her kingdom attire is more than revealing. It's a skin-tight black and white leather suit that completely exposes her abs and chest. Only a simple golden belt around her bellybutton and another clasping across the breasts keep her from falling out of her attire. As an assassin, Helena wears a black leather long jacket with loose, open sleeves. Below that, she wears a black leather corset and red arm wraps that she uses to hide her gauntlets. Around her chest is her quiver of arrows as well as her bow. She has a lot of chest protection on, almost to the point of having scales like a dragon. She does this so, should someone try to kill it, it will be that much harder to go through a shitton of leather.
Arms/Legs She wears simple knee-high white boots around the kingdom and white elbow-long gloves. She struts around with her whip hitched at her hips, but she only uses it to command slaves or people to move aside. Assassin-Helena has the gauntlets of black and red, as well as black leather, lace-up boots. She also wears red-skin tight leather pants with a holster strap that should hide a knife, only Helena uses it to hide her whip.

Weapon 1 Bladed gauntlets. There is something about the way these claw-like gauntlets work that just arouses the princess. She loves the proximity to her foe and, more so, the feeling of their skin ripping beneath her claws. Nothing like a seductive death, right?
Weapon 2 Whip. Again, she likes to keep things seductive. Or perhaps, in this case, kinky. She enjoys the range her whip gives her, which pairs nicely with her close-ranged bladed gauntlets.
Weapon 3 Compound bow for its grace and stealth. She enjoys how she can use it for, again, ranged attacks, much more so than her whip. If she can't whip-grab and pull someone in, she'll just shoot them up with arrows. Pretty self explanatory, right?

History Helena was born into this world with much love and promise. Too bad it was fleeting, fading with each passing day, week, month, and year. As a child, Helena grew up with the love of her father, mother, and brother. Every day was fun and full of adventure. The king would take them around to see the army and Helena fell in love with the soldiers. She would, at night when no one was watching, practice sword fighting but ultimately ended up hating it. So, instead, she took up learning how to punch, kick, and dodge.

Aiden was kind as a kid, spending much of his time with her. Helena, being shy and quiet, had a hard time fitting in or making friends. Aiden, social and kind, had no issues. He always put her needs above his own, missing out on quests and rides around the kingdom for her own happiness. Fearful of doing anything alone, Helena became a mute of sorts. She wouldn’t utter a word unless her brother was beside her.

This phase did eventually pass, but not for a long time yet.

When Aiden was 9, the rumors of Rashmaal and Yuua’s strain started to grow immensely. Aiden was swept away by the king to train and become a soldier. Helena? Why, even her own mother wouldn’t look at the mute child. Left alone, Helena just sat in her room and stared out across the kingdom. She would watch the soldiers spare and, when she saw something she liked, she would mimic it.

One day, the family gathered to eat dinner. Or at least, everyone who mattered did. Helena, forgotten, wasn’t invited to eat and had to watch her father, mother, and brother laugh and dine with bliss. That was when the darkness first filled her heart. It was the first time she wished illness upon her family. It was the first time, she became angry instead of scared.

Months later, Aiden would have a terrible accident with a horse. The kingdom grew to love him. They idolized him. Phrased him. Honored him. They adored him. He was the prince of the people. Of course, Aiden was Aiden and sought to ride again. He sought to be a man again. So he took up his horse. Father begged him to not do so and Helena was asked to offer her input. Helena gave her brother the puppy-dog eyes, but inwardly she wished that he would fall again, only this time that he never wake up. She wanted his blood to be ceaseless until there was nothing left to spill.

Time ticked on and Helena’s hatred deepened. When the king grew ill, Helena smiled. She was happy. He was going to die. He, the one that abandoned and forgot her. He was finally going to get the karma he needed. For once, Helena might earn love again.

It didn’t happen. Instead, mother rewed and brother become engrossed in the army.

So alone, she started sleeping during the day and training at night. She was sick of being overlooked. She was sick of being forgotten. Ready to take her life into her own hands, Helena found a tutor who was to train her. Only, this man refused to train women so Helena would come dressed as a boy. She wouldn’t talk for she didn’t want her girly voice to derail her from her training.

As the months passed, Helena’s strength and knowledge grew. She was shaping up nicely. Flawlessly, actually. During that time, her hatred deepened further. It really caused her to fight harder, to push harder, and become tougher. Aiden wanted to wed the princess of Rashmaal, and it sickened her. To combat this, Helena swore she would kill the little girl, only she was too weak still.

Seeking another teacher, this one a deceitful bounty hunter, Helena started to learn how to fight dirty. She learned all the tricks of being a bad man. Her muscle grew and grew and her speed became peerless.

Aiden gained the army of Yuua at 20 and Helena, 19, gained her posse of bandits. She pillaged her nation at night with her fellow crooked rogues. Her brother was forced to spend time hunting down this rogued group of thugs, but never successfully caught them. It caused Helena much join, knowing that she was causing her brother to lose sleep and suffer.

Helana attempted to kill her parents a few different times, too. Each attempt was failed though. Eventually, she gave up with the attempts and broke away from her band of thugs. Wanting to fight solo, she started to leave the kingdom at night and murder people just for the sake of blood. She loved the feeling of ripping the life from someone. By 21, Helena had killed over four-dozen people. She was a wanted man (the wanted posters depicted her as a man). Nothing brought her more joy than this.

As time progressed and leads to the present, Helena continued fighting and being murderous. Along her travels, she contracted an assassin to aid her in killing the princess of Yuua. Helena even tried to woo the princess herself, but it was a failed attempt. The girl was simply too interested in her guard. This, of course, gave Helena a brilliant idea. Luring the guard to her bed, Helena would use this man to her own desire.

That night, the night the princess went missing, was supposed to be the night when it all ended. But it all went terribly wrong. She wasn’t supposed to make love to Akiyama. She wasn’t supposed to let him live. She wasn’t supposed to fall in love. And yet she did. And, because of it, she let the biggest wall between her and power escape. She lost Akiyama. And she lost the princess.

Extras Prior to wooing Akiyama, Helena tried to seduce the child princess. With little success, she moved onto Akiyama, knowing that if she could convert the guardian, she could kill the princess or use her as a bargaining chip.

Personality Aurelius, preferred to be called by his last name Lex, is a rather dour man. He speaks little, and is always at the Princess' side, though he does seem willing to give the Princess space at times. He is a man of utter loyalty to his people and his country and is a man of few words. When Lex does speak it is usually blunt and to the point.

Lex takes his job defending the Princess quite seriously. He is a very patriotic man, who would gladly lay down his life for his country. Once a mere city guard in one of the wealthier towns of Yuua, Lex left the guard while still fairly young to join the military. He had a very promising career as a soldier and moved quickly through the ranks. A veteran of countless skirmishes and no few battles, Lex has plenty of martial experience.

Upon having heard that the Princess needed a knight to escort her, Lex volunteered and was promptly given the job. Other than his absolute devotion to his homeland, and unwavering loyalty to the very few friends he has, little is known about Lex the man.

Mortal Alignment Neutral Good-- Lex is a righteous man, but doing what's right doesn't always coincide with the law.

Motivation Lex is patriotic nearly to the point of fanaticism. He loves Yuua and the everyday people in it. Lex would be willing to go to any means to see that his homeland continues to prosper and flourish. Lex also seems motivated by a drive to do the right thing. During his time as a city guard he saw many wrongs visited on the people of his patrol by others who were their neighbors or friends. He knew that he was a man who could do things to right those wrongs.

Fear(s) Lex doesn't seem to express any fears.

Likes Serving his country and doing what he can to make it a better place; Lex seems to enjoy spending much of his free time going over his armor/weapons and keeping himself in tip top shape; Kittens. They're just so cuddly and cute;

  • Strength. Lex is a powerhouse and he knows it. Lex isn't afraid to use his size to his advantage, whether as an intimidation factor or to battle his way through.]
  • Appearance. Because of the way Lex looks, and how little he speaks a lot of people underestimate his intelligence. It's a mistake that many people make.
Weaknesses
  • Lex seems to lack the ability to connect with people when speaking or interacting with them. It not that he doesn't have feelings or that he can't understand that others do. He's just distant when directly interacting face to face with people.
  • His loyalty to his homeland has caused a bit of trouble for Lex. When someone says something against his homeland Lex just can't stand there. He acts. Most often violently.

SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals Lex does not seem to worship any god, though at times he can be heard referring to "the gods" and saying "gods for-fend" or "gods helps us." He believes that no one or thing out there is going to help him or anyone else and that he'd better just do what needs to be done/ what is right his damn self. Lex used to be a man of law. Following the rules strictly. Very strictly. After seeing a few too many good, and innocent people hurt because of those laws Lex leans more toward doing what's right as opposed to following the law. He often treads a very fine line between the two, doing his very best to hold to the law while doing what's right.
Virtues Humility -- As a city guard Lex worked tirelessly to keep the people under his watch and care safe from all dangers. As a solider he constantly took up the worst and nastiest jobs without complaint. As an officer he strove to care for the soldiers under his care and keep as many of the promises he made them as he could. Now, as a knight sworn to protect his Princess, Lex struggles to continue to do those things. It's a hard battle, but Lex is determined to do everything he can and give this assignment his all.
Sins Sloth -- Evil exists when good men fail to act, and there are times when Lex can't bring himself to act. Lex knows full well that his princess is more than what she seems to be and at times Lex willfully ignores the things she does. Just what is he supposed to do? She is his princess. As a good man his inability or unwillingness to act is something that he wars with constantly.



ATTIRE



Head/Neck When not in the field Lex doesn't seem to like his head or face covered. When he is going into a fight Lex likes a good, sturdy helmet. Double walled. It'll take more than one lucky swing to cave the damned thing in. Of course it is in the style favored by his homeland.
Chest/Back In a casual setting Lex is a man of simple tastes, wearing a plain, yet well cared for tunic. Usually in some shade of blue or gray, if not black. If the occasion calls Lex is willing to dress in finer clothing, though he will shed such clothing as soon as he gets the chance in favor of his simple garb. On the field of battle or while on duty Lex has an impeccably well cared for suit of armor. Though it has seen many a battle Lex's armor looks brand new. The armor is mostly mail. He always carried his sword with him. Always.
Arms/Legs Simple pants suit him just fine. When armored he does have jointed plate armor over his knees, and elbows. Lex has superbly made plate gauntlets that have been meticulously crafted so that each joint flexes perfectly, allowing for Lex to have total control over the fine movements of his hands. Plate boots also protect his feet.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Weapon 1 A hand and a half sword is Lex's main weapon. Once he'd saved up enough pay as a soldier Lex had this incredibly durable weapon commissioned by the most skilled smith he could find. A soldier's best friend is his favored weapon.
Weapon 2 A large kite shield. Simple yet sturdy, this shield has saved Lex's life more than once.
Weapon 3 A flanged mace. Sometimes your sword just won't go through a good helmet. So you just need that perfect tool for caving the damn things in.

Hand-to-hand [Excellent] -- Having joined a regiment of City Guard at a fairly young age Lex learned and perfected his hand to hand combat skills while dealing with drunks, thieves, thugs, and an occasional mob. He keeps his skills in this area quite sharp, though he prefers to use weaponry.
Melee [Excellent] -- Being in the guard gave him a good start at his melee skills and being a soldier in the thick of battle only helped him to become the fighting machine he is now. Lex also continues to work at improving.
Ranged [Above Average] -- As a boy he would often go hunting with his father, and as a soldier he honed this particular skill a bit more, though he never really took it to the same heights as he did with his hand to hand and melee skills.
Magic [Average] -- Lex is adept at fighting magic users having come across a few during his career, but he himself has no magical skill to speak of.
Mounted [Perfect] -- Lex's family bred and raised horses. Capable of riding before he could barely walk Lex is a natural. He can do much more than just fight from horse back.



BACKGROUND

History Part of a large family, the middle son of 3 boys and 2 girls, Lex's parents were people of great wealth who bred and raised horses. As a boy he and his siblings grew up knowing how to ride before they could walk. As Lex got older he took up more responsibilities and thus was no stranger to hard labor. As he got older Lex entertained dreams of joining the guard regiment in the town nearest his family farm. His parents did not object, having at least one son who was interested in taking up the family tradition of raising the horses.

Lex loved life in the city patronizing the streets. He reveled in protecting the citizenry, catching the bad guys and helping to ensure they payed... until a certain incident. A murder. Everyone seemed to know who it was that did the killing but no one could prove it. The man got away with it and it really upset Lex. He left the guard after that and joined the military. Swinging a sword was a bit more straightforward right? It certainly seemed a lot more black and white. Just kill the enemies to the crown. People who wanted to do his people and homeland harm. Lex was a great soldier. And an exemplary leader. Until a night in a bar.

Fighting wars began to wear on Lex. He knew he was serving his homeland well, but the thought that the people he was cutting down were men that could be just like him, or maybe his father... his siblings-- It ate at him. Left a sour taste in his mouth and stopped him from sleeping at night. He had to look for a new career. That was when he heard that there was a posting for someone to become the knight/ guardian of the Princess. This was perfect. His Princess was a good person. Kind and just. This was a job he could do without ever feeling guilty or let down. Anyone who would want to hurt the Princess was someone truly evil. Lex made himself known to the people looking for men suitable for the role and volunteered. He was quickly given the job.

Lex took this job as seriously as he had all his other careers. He kept a close eye on Princess Helena, going everywhere with her. And then he noticed she'd go missing every once in a while. Lex didn't like this and did try following her once or twice. But the Princess was crafty and had given him the slip. That's when Lex began to doubt. What was his Princess doing? Where was she going? Why was she sneaking out? After having Helena followed by one of Lex's many stealthier friends one night, Lew learned of her meetings with a man in the woods. And upon hearing what his Princess was up to Lex was relieved. If clandestinely meeting a man was all that she was up to well that wasn't anything to really fret over-- but something told Lex this wasn't all of it. After a few sleepless nights Lex finally just decided that whatever it was that his princess was doing he didn't really need or want to know. Also long as his homeland didn't come to harm because of it.



OTHER



Extras Lex has a hard time interacting with others face to face and it takes a great deal of effort for him to make normal conversation, but inside he really does have a lot to say and he feels very deeply about many things.

MENTAL & EMOTIONAL

Personality Artemios is a stoic centaur, much like the others of his kind. He walks proud and tall, though it can come off as arrogant and bored looking. He's the type to not only take pride in what he does, but also what he can do and who he is. With his head held high, her aura seeps of confidence.

As a Guardian of the Forest, it is not uncommon for Artemios to offer the very blanket on his back in order to help those of or in the wood. However, he is also not one that can be walked over. Even with a placid expression, he is quick to act to defend himself or another. He speaks with the wisdom and age of his people which give hims the pride and courage to face all foes on any front.

Naturally a gentle creature, he will not go out of his way to harm another. This can be turned around in an instant from the very weakness of the Centaurs: alcohol. The four-legged creatures are known for their ability and enjoyment in consumption of fine wines and Artemios is no different. Much like their horse-blood brethren, even the deer-like Centaurs are known to get rowdy and violent in their drunken stupors.

Being such a prideful creature, Artemios does not appreciate the responses he gets from many of the humans that venture into their woods. Though they have never had an issue with the people of Yuua, who have accepted the race among their people and trade with them frequently, but for those not aware of their kind, they are treated with much disrespect. Even being of such a petite figure, just as all the men and women of his people, for humans to mistake him as a female is something take as an insult.

Mortal Alignment Lawful Neutral is how all the Guardians of the Forest are brought up to be. They are there to protect the forests and to protect their people while keeping positive relations with the adventurers they get within their land. Not shy to combat, Artemios will quickly take to arms to fight for what he believes is best for his home and people.

Motivation As a Guardian of the Forest, Artemios's motivation lies within protecting his people. He will fight to the ends of the world and back to keep them safe. On top of that, he seeks and behaves in a manner that would benefit and keep peace within the wooded lands. Their kind, especially the Guardians, have been known to help lost travelers, chase off bandits as well as help clear debris from the war and poor weather. Their drive to help one another as well as the other 'lesser' races of the forest really drive the behaviors behind any Guardian of the Forest.

Fear(s) Artemios, much like his sister, fears letting down his family. They both hold very important positions among their kind and thus have brought honor to their family. He fears that he may fail at his duty as a Guardian of the Forest and allow for an opening for the Anthros to attack their people. He is aware just how much of a species advantage they have and will use the advantage that comes from being a centaur to keep a strong defense up.

Likes New landscapes and open places. It is not uncommon for the twins to switch places to see what the other gets to see; it may not be a huge change, but it's enough. There's a bit of secrecy that goes with it as well; they can't let anyone find out they switched roles and the challenge excites them.

The twins also enjoy the peace of nature as well as the entertainment of those that wander around. They're accepting of others and enjoy listening to their stories. Before the war, the travelers were always respectful of the wilds that made of the forest of the Centaurs. As soon as the fighting stopped, the peaceful wanderers left and were replaced by men and beast clad in armor, armed to the teeth with weapons. The beauty of their lands tainted and destroyed leaving the twins and the other Guardians of the Forest to try and repair that which was so dear to them.

The sound of thunder, the fall of rains; all bring life to the forest and all are enjoyed by Artemios and his sister. They enjoy the sound of music dancing lightly across the wind and the sweet smells of life that take flight a well.

Dislikes Being mistaken for the opposite gender is probably one of the top dislikes on his list. It doesn't matter how difficult it is to tell if someone is male or female, but one should not be so disrespectful as to jump to conclusions on the matter. Do not ride the centaur either. Even though they're backs make look large and comfy to ride, the twins greatly dislike when people just up and decide they are going to do that. It's another respect thing; humans wouldn't like when others climb on their back and neither do centaurs.

Strengths
  • Throughout their training, the twins have become very levelheaded and prefer to avoid conflict where it is possible.
  • Loyalty. Should you find friendship and loyalty within any Centaur of the Forest, let alone one of the Guardians, you have a stout defender. You will find no other that will get mad for you, nor defend you tooth an nail like a Guardian of the Forest.
  • Very musical folk. Both Artemios and his sister were taught how to play music, though he favors the lute while his sister favors the flute.
Weaknesses
  • Even with the training that they've gone through, as a Centaur, Artemios is still one that can be provoked to anger and a Centaur's rage is not one to stay around.
  • Too large a heart. It can be dangerous, in the heat of battle, to worry about something. Being a Guardian of the Forest, Artemios is sympathetic to those harmed in combat that did not need to be. He is quick to aid those, even if it means attempting to break combat which is something that his sister does not seem to agree with unless she knows the person.
  • Sweets. Whether chocolate, fruity, chewy or hard, sweets and candies are practically considered a rare delicacy within the woods, especially after the war started. You want to see a Centaur become nearly instantly distracted, or at least Artemios and his sister? Sweets.


SPIRITUAL

Faith & Morals Though the Centaurs have come to respect the High Goddess, they oddly do not worship her. Rather they, worship those that they have deemed as the other gods and goddess that work with and for her, whether it be true or not. Each job of the centaurs involves the worship of a different god, as a Guardian of the Forest, Artemios believes and worship the goddess Gaia.
Virtues Among those most aware of their image in Artemios. Though a proud Centaur, he is not one to let it get to his head. Being level-headed, the virtues that people tend to coin he and his sister with are diligence and temperance. They are both known to hold back when needed as well as carefully assess a situation. They are also those that put their all into their work, though outside of work that can be a different story.
Sins While taking part in the public eye as the Guardians of the Forest, the twins have a completely different personality in their personal time it would appear. Artemios is a lazy centaur, often enjoying to casually sip his wine and partake a in good book. Nothing more than an emergency would get him to move in such a state. Though, being much more of a lightweight than his sister, he is known for his anger when drunk; something his sister chides him about, which only makes things worse. His sister, Apollonia, on the other hand is not only a glutton when it comes to wines and other fine spirits, but she's known to be greedy and hoard things she deems as valuable or important.


ATTIRE

Head/Neck A skull from a fallen opponent is crafted to take the shape of a helmet that connects to Artemios's antlers. He also wears a pair of ornate shoulder pads, must like the rest of the Guardians of the Forest.
Chest/Back Though centaurs are not one to enjoy the wearing of clothing, the role in which he holds for his people is one of high honor and therefore, it is a privilege for him to done a heavy silk blanket of white and silver. A breastplate matching is color and style of the shoulder pads and belt piece is worn as well, to keep the vital organs safe from attack.
Arms/Legs Other than a pair of ornate shoulder pads, the only other thing that Artemios wears from time to time would be a pair of elbow-length gauntlets that remained tucked in at his belt when not in use.


WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT

Bow of the Forest Guardian Each class among the Centaurs of the Forest receive a specialized weapon; for the Guardians of the Forest, that weapon is a bow. At the end of the training for potential Guardians, they are taken deep into the sacred forest, where a wondrous magic lies and beasts from the shadow stalk their prey. They are sent out to seek the Tree of the Protector and from the tree, they are to prey and request from it a branch to be crafted into a fine weapon that the Guardian may use to protect the tree and the magic that lay within it. Those found worthy by the Tree are granted a branch, those that are not either return empty handed or are believed to become a shadow beast that stalks those that dare near the tree, whether they be Guardian of the Forest, trainee, or someone simply lost in the woods.
Sacred Blades of the Centaur Upon reaching adulthood, each Centaur is gifted their first real weapon. The weapon can vary from each individual, but may opt for either a bastard sword or a pair of single handed blades. When it came down to this decision, Artemios chose to wield a bastard sword feeling that it would be more useful in protecting his people and the forest. His sister, though sharing the same thought, felt the job could be better done with two single handed blades.
Golden Antler Caps Upon completing any sort of combat training, all Centaurs are rewarded with a set of spiked antler caps which are exchanged upon receiving a job within their kind. Being a Guardian of the Forest, that meant that the twins exchanged theirs for a pair of golden caps.


COMBAT ABILITY

Mounted Hand-to-hand [ABOVE AVERAGE] -- Full body fighters, Centaurs are a breed that are trained to fight with their whole body. Not only do they hold a height advantage to their foes, but their weight and build are natural weapons. Weighing in around 350 pounds or more, one would feel if one of these creatures stepped on them, let alone used their muscular legs to kick them, or their forms to charge someone down. On top of that, they are also gifted with a pair of antlers, regardless as to their gender, the graceful antlers grace the top of every head. Much like a deer, they grow larger each year after being shed for the winter. The difference comes from those that fight for their people sharpening them or attaching some sort of decorated spike to their tops to add damage.
Mounted Melee [ABOVE AVERAGE] -- A sword is a show of honor; to lay down a sword for another, to put oneself so close to combat is considered an honor and privilege only taught to those that may be called upon to fight for their people in a war. While hand-to-hand is a natural way for a centaur, they prefer to hold a more poised form of combat when fighting with others. They are trained to watch their blade and only make movements needed to survive and take down their opponent. At the same time, it is not uncommon for a centaur to mix body fighting in with their sword fighting.
Mounted Ranged [EXCELLENT] -- The main focus of Artemios's training as a Guardian of the Forest was in ranged abilities. It was believed that to handle an opponent before they could get too close to them or their people. They were trained to be accurate and to know where on the body to hit something to either kill, cripple, stun or simply harm them.
Magic [BELOW AVERAGE] -- Centaurs are not raised to be creatures of magical abilities, however, upon taking up the role of Guardian of the Forest these individuals are trained in the art of healing magic. Their goal to is help aid those in need just enough to let them seek further help. He cannot fully heal deep wounds, but can slow or stop the bleeding and encourage the body to clot quicker. A Guardian of the Forest is no replacement for a real healer.
Mounted [AVERAGE] -- As a Centaur, Artemios cannot fight unmounted as such, all of his abilities are done as he is. All attacks that he has are then considered to be mounted as he constantly has the height and size advantage over most foes.

History The Centaur's of the Forest differ from their mountainous cousins. Rather than appearing much more like a Clydesdale, the Forest Centuars seem to appear to be a cross between the Elven races of old and the rare white deer that once protected the lands. When the Forest Centaur's first appeared, those that believed the legends thought them to be what came of the white deer and forest elves that seemed to vanish so long ago.

Peaceful by nature, these Centaur continue to protect the forest as the races of old before them. They take great pride in their work as well as helping those in need. Many a species that did not outright attack those that protected the forest were brought in and taken care of before being assisted on their travels.

Though the race had been thriving over the years, a legend began spreading through their kind like wildfire that change was coming. Things that should not happen to their kind would, things that should not happen in their forests would and the world would forever be changed. The elders began making the legends aware as they sense among the forest that the magics that lay within were beginning to prepare for these changes.

Just as these changes were being foretold, the Maiden of Daelenwood took a Suitor. The Maiden was viewed as a sacred object, one that was blessed by the forest due to her supposed ancestry to the White Deer and the Elven race. It was believed that within her blood told the history of what became of them and how their people came to be. For the Maiden to take a Suitor was not only a high honor for the Suitor, but was a sign that strong bloodlines would continue among their kind.

When it was announced that the Maiden was expecting, there were many celebrations to be had. Everyday the Centaurs would prepare for the birth of the Maiden's young. There would be feasts and banquets carefully prepared and crafted through the help of the forest. Then, many months down the road, the elders announced that the Maiden was not expecting one, but two. The Forest Centaur's knew not how to react at first. They wished to rejoyce for such luck, but there was the heavy weight of the changing of times. The peaceful look upon the Maiden's face would quickly calm them and they would begin preparations anew, as there was a second to prepare for.

The time came during the full moons, mid-spring that year. The weather was warm, yet mild, the winds brought about a soft warm breeze that was drunk in the scent of flowers and green life of the forest. Decorated in flowers and a blanket of moss and small wild flowers, the Maiden made her solo trip into the heart of the forest. Though the heart of the forest was a place that the Guardians of the Forest ever ventured due to the vile shadow beasts that inhabit there, the magic of the wood would protect the Maiden.

Under the bright light of the moon, surrounded by the glowing waters that lay in ponds around the Tree of the Protector, two infant centaur's lie curl up their tired mother. Early the next morning, her Suitor would make the trip out to the tree to gather the Maiden and children. Upon arriving, the Maiden was already awake, the children wide eyed as well, already playing in the forest clearing. Taking to her feet, the Maiden went to her Suitor, a smile on her face as the children quickly clamored up beside the male. The union with his family enough to settle the shock of seeing his mate so alter so soon after giving birth to the twins. The behavior of the children was not something of surprise as they took more after their deer ancestor with having to be quick to their feet.

The twins grew quickly, as was custom to their kind and per their mother's request, they were not to be treated any differently than the rest of their kind. She wanted her children to grow up knowing what it was like to live among their people, not to be coddled and seemingly worshiped like she had been. However, this did not keep the mother and their father from being protective of the two as children, even if the two did like to switch places from time to time in a hope to trick everyone, parents included.

They seemed to constantly get into trouble, even when they didn't mean to. Everything from knocking over weapon racks to bringing home less than pleased creatures that would require the adults to chase out. At times like those, their people had to wonder just how the two were able to bring such beasts to their home without being torn to shreds; though they knew it had to do with who they were.

As they grew older, it became time for the twins to begin their training in their life occupation. Apollonia who seemed to have a knack for magic and was desired by the healers, while it was believed that Artemios would do well as a Guardian of the Forest. Upon hearing what was offered to her brother Apollonia quickly protested her path. Upon going before the elders and their mother, the protest was accepted and the twins were both allowed to enter into training for Guardian of the Forest.

It was the Tree of the Protector that the Guardians were sworn to protect. They were to protect that and all that the tree fought for, including the forest itself and all those that lived within it. Many would enter the training, but very few were deemed worthy by the Tree. The group would venture out into the woods daily, a little deeper each time until they reached the point where light mixed with darkness and the creatures of shadow were known to live.

They would continue their training at that distance from the tree until their final trial came: be gifted with a branch from the Tree of the Protector. The day of the test was a stormy day and the animals seemed unsettled by this as they forest was alive from their movements. The test would continue though, as the Guardians would have to protect even in harsh weather conditions. Out of the seven of them that would venture out there, only 3 would be granted their branch, twins included, two would return empty handed and two would go missing.

It was during the years of their apprenticeship that the twins were allowed to continue to serve together, that they would bump into a woman, one that seemed very wise beyond her appearance. She was worn out and appeared to be lost so the two brought her back to their village, it was there that her people would learn that she was a Seer and a bond would be formed between all of them.

Time went on and the twins received their own areas to protect and in the times of the war, their lands and those of the anthros were forced much closer than they had been before. Not only did they have to protect their people and those of the forest from the on going fighting, but to have their natural predator so close to their doors did not make things any better. Even with the fighting winding down, things have yet to settle and become peaceful for the Centaur as the small battles here and there continue to rage within the forest.


OTHER

Extras Artemios, much like the rest of his kind, have enhanced senses due their race. Due to their half-animal nature, the male has enhanced hearing as well as improved vision in the dark. Artemios and his sister also remain in contact via his sister's Gyrfalcon Hermokrates.

Anything that shows to the contrary (ie; tomfoolery) only negates all his hard work to be taken seriously, despite how much he does want to join in on games sometimes. Physical contact makes him very uncomfortable. The biggest fear he has however is fire. Fire holds a heavy role in Hemset's past, it has taken away nearly all he has ever held dear. He believes that one day fire will end his life as well.

Dislikes Fire, obviously. He also will not stand for people being picked on. Hemset also despises mushrooms.

Strengths
  • He's good an analyzing situations from a distance and giving advice on them.

SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals As far as faith goes, Hemset finds himself a new disciple of the High Goddess. It wasn't until he nearly met his end upon a pirate ship that he even began to believe in anything but with his teacher Lakar's guidance, Hemset has become newly devout. He has always had a strong set of morals however. He knows that not everyone is provided with the opportunity to better their lives so he does all that he can to provide it to the less fortunate. However he only does so to those he has personally looked into and has decided that they will not squander the chance. If you want your life to improve, you must deserve it.
Virtues Charity, diligence, kindness and humility. Hemset seeks out the less fortunate to aid. He will not quit a job until it is done and done right and he will always aid another with no thought on returning the favour-in fact he does most of his helping in secret to avoid just that. Hemset is also quite modest about his acts and his abilities. He does not see himself as someone special or above any other, but merely a boy who was given ample opportunity towards a better life. A gift he is determined to share.
Sins Wrath is perhaps the deadliest of sins that Hemset falls prey to. All the people in his past whom have taken advantage of him, abused him and especially to those who killed his brother, Hemset would see them all dead and in the most excruciating way possible. He takes this anger out on anyone who would abuse their power over those beneath them. Under such circumstances, he is capable of very little self restraint.



ATTIRE



Head/Neck Hemset doesn't typically wear hats of any sort but he does wear a necklace. It's a black stone with a badly drawn crown etched into the surface, attached to a leather thread that secures it in place. Typically the stone rests beneath his shirt, away from prying eyes.
Body Simplicity is Hemset's way in many aspects. He wears a brown cotton shirt with a pair of dark black/brown pants. While the pants are new they are patched with sections of leather that are more for added protection than to cover holes across his knees and along the sides. They tuck into a pair of brown leather boots, also fairly new, though soft and well stitched. He wears a trench coat of a similar patchwork style that flows just passed his knees and often has a pair of gloves for cooler weather.
Waist Around his waist Hemset wears a belt that holds a satchel on his side. He keeps many useful things there, helpful plants that he finds while he is out and simple items of interest as well as a bit of gold, though that is more to give to those who need it than to purchase anything for himself.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Staff of the Mage A staff is a wonderful thing. It hurts when it hits just right but unless you're quite skilled it won't usually kill. This is an important feature when one if prone to injuring themselves in practice. Of course, Hemset has come a long way since then and at this point he finds himself quite skilled with it. Nowadays he holds the staff of the mage, most of the time it looks like a common walking stick but it is a capable tool used to help focus one's magic and direct it. When being used as such it burns with ancient runes.
Magic Hemset wields magic only when it's necessary. Despite how he loves the way it feels and flows, he tries not to use it for every little thing if he can avoid doing so. However when he is forced to use his ability, his skills range between a large variety of schools; from destruction magic to creation, scrying, teleportation, illusion and evocation. The one area that he falls short in is restoration and healing.

Hand-to-hand [Poor] -- His own two hands are all he had for some time, yet Hemset learned to take a punch better than to ever throw one.
Melee [Above average] -- Hemset was never very skilled with sharp weapons, for some reason he always ended up hurting himself. What he excelled at more was with blunt weapons, in particular a staff. With added guidance from Lakar, he has honed this ability further, making him a fair match against most other weapons. However should he pick up anything else, he would not be any good with them.
Ranged [Poor] -- Unless it has something to do a ranged magic attack, Hemset finds himself less than accurate. Bows take too much arm strength to hold back and anything else just feels... unnatural.
Magic [Above Average] -- Hemset was born with an exceptional gift in magic but his understanding of it is still limited. He has a natural ability in destruction magic but has forgone proper training in that area and instead he excels in illusions and creation magic. People tend not to mess with him when they believe he has a dragon summoned to his side.
Mounted [No skill] -- Hemset, in fact, has never really had occasion or opportunity to ride a horse. He does not know how.

History
Hello, my name is Lakar and I am here to tell you what I know about my pupil, Hemset. Over the few short years we have known each other he has confided much me and now I share it with you. Use this information wisely, I would not see it be harbored against him.

Beginnings
Hemset originated from a land far away, across the sea from Rashmaal and Yuua and their war. Unfortunately while he was very young his village burned to the ground along with his parents, leaving only Hemset and his brother, Mekhet, to take care of him.

5 to 7 years old-Mekhet
Hemset and Mekhet settled in a city by the sea. They were weary, without money and desperately hungry, finding shelter in an abandoned shack on the edge of town. Hemset stayed inside while Mekhet went out in search for food and water. He always return with something of note, even a game sometimes.

Hemset had no real idea about what his brother did to feed them, just that on occasion he would bring home games to play. Hemset loved games of strategy, his favourite being chess.

Mekhet began to come home with injuries though never said what happened, just that this was why it was dangerous out there, this was why Hemset had to stay hidden. Hemset pressed a small black stone into Mekhet's hand one night, it was his chess piece, the king. "He'll protect you" promised the younger brother.

It warmed Mekhet's heart but unfortunately, the piece didn't do much good. Soon his employers came knocking. They both looked like monsters to Hemset. Mekhet stood in front of his brother protectively.

The men were not impressed, that was for certain. They seemed to think that Hemset should join their crew of thieves, earn his own keep alongside his brother but Mekhet wouldn't have any of it. Still, the two boys weren't much of a match against full grown men so Mekhet told Hemset to run while he held them off. Mekhet's last words to his younger brother were, "I will find you".

He never did.

Hemset ran but he didn't get far before the smell of smoke caught his attention and he looked back. Their new home was alight with fire and there was no sign of his brother. Numbed to the bone, Hemset collapsed against the wall of a nearby building and watched the place until morning, when it had finally burned out.

There was nothing left as Hemset stepped through the rubble. All that he ever found was that black stone, etched with a crown-the king that he had given his brother next to a hand that jutted out from the rubble of a fallen wall. That was Mekhet, burned and buried alive.

Hemset was at a loss, starving, exhausted and alone he took that little stone and began wandering the streets in a haze.

7 to 8.5 years-pirates
He had to leave the city (Canton-Nibaru, as he would later discover). He simply could not stay there, with those angry men and no Mekhet... it was too much to bear, so Hemset made his way straight to the harbour. He had no way to buy passage onto a ship and no one seemed willing to take on a seven year old boy with no experience so that left one option. So he picked a ship and stowed away.

Twelve days passed with success before Hemset was discovered, at which point he was brought before a less than thrilled captain. Thankfully the man opted to put Hemset to work to pay his passage instead of casting him overboard. He aided in the kitchens, swabbed the deck, cleaned out some of the most disgusting areas of the ship but at least in return he had a full belly and a place to sleep. The crew treated him fairly, even kindly but as all good things seemed to be, it was short lived.

They were set upon by pirates. Unable to outrun them the crew was forced to try and fight them off and they failed, terribly. The pirates killed everyone aboard though when they came upon Hemset, hidden in the captains quarter's for safety, the pirate captain called Red Beard Roy, gave a black-toothed grin. "I've always wanted a little cabin boy" The way he said it chilled Hemset to the bone.

And so, in a sense, that was what he became. The pirates, after savaging all of worth from the good ship, set it alight and sailed away from the wreckage. Having no other choice, aside from walking the plank, Hemset honestly tried to take on the role, on the ship known as the Bloody Haul, doing for these pirates what he had once done for the sailors he had called friends. However these men were much less interested in his cleaning and cooking aid than they were into... other things.

Hemset suffered many injuries and indignities at the hands of that crew. All in all, it was a miracle he didn't catch infection and die.

Months passed and Hemset barely saw land though never set foot upon it and he never saw anyone aside from the crew. More than once the waves called temptingly to take him away into death, each time they called stronger than before until one day he closed his eyes and stepped up on the railing. "If there is a god, let this be the end" he whispered to the wind.

"Ship HO!" yelled the lookout from above and Hemset startled but kept his balance and looked to the horizon where a ship could be seen sailing in their direction. Hemset heard the others speak, it was from the Rashmaal navy. The Bloody Haul wouldn't stand a chance, they had to out run it. He had seen them outrun many ships when the need called, Hemset doubted this one would be different, especially since they only had a few hours until the cover of night... and yet it provided another opportunity for him.

Hemset stiffened as he heard the captain's voice calling him, not that they had bothered to learn his name, it was just "boy". Hemset looked at the ship and then the vast amount of water between them. He wasn't a strong swimmer, and it could take hours to reach them but if he could before nightfall... if he could just make it that far.

One of the nearby crew members grabbed his arm to try and pull him down from the rail but this was it. Now or Never. Hemset booted the man in the face as hard as he could-which threw him off balance of course and he plummeted to the waves below.

The water was icy cold and the waves were far from calm. Thankfully no one one the Bloody Haul seemed to deem him worth pausing for and they sailed on their way, so Hemset began to swim. It wasn't until the sun had begun to set that he found himself out of the dreadful waters and aboard the navy ship. They helped the waterlogged Hemset recover and brought him back to land-sweet, glorious land called Rashmaal.

8.5-10 years-New beginnings
As you may have guessed, Hemset did not have anywhere to go or even any way of getting food beyond the little meal the crew had given him. All he had were the clothes on his back (a tattered shirt and fairly soiled pants) and a fresh start in a brand new place. He didn't even have a set of shoes, only a pair of thick soled feet and yet, the world seem to shine brighter here.

Knowing how dangerous a career in thieving could get, Hemset tried to stay away from it as much as possible however at times it seemed to be the only option if he wanted to live-and that he did. There was a god out there somewhere that had seen him in his time of need and given him the opportunity to survive, it would be disrespectful to go and die now.

Hemset had become very quiet on his feet, the only good skill learned on the Bloody Haul. Deciding it was best to keep to himself he found a hidden place to stay and while in public, Hemset bore his attitude like an animal bares it's fangs. A young boy like that doesn't attract much attention, most people hardly noticed him but he saw them. In fact, the things Hemset heard when no one thought anyone was listening could fill not only pages, but entire prisons. He merely had no interest in using it.

Despite his efforts Hemset did make the occasional friend I'm sure, however he did not speak of them to me.

10-14 years-Lakar
This is where I come in, your narrator of this little tale, Lakar. I have been the Mage of the Mountain for many years. I don't often go to the marketplace but it was such a day that I met Hemset, a small boy of ten at the time. He stole my satchel of gold.

He was very good, I hardly noticed. In fact, I might not have noticed at all if I hadn't been watching him first. I was looking for an apprentice-I was in dire need of one and I found Hemset, as unique as they come.

He thought he had gotten away but I pursued, tracking him to a side alley a few streets over where he thought himself safe. His whole body froze and seemed to brace for impact, when I didn't hit him he looked up at me with such fear. I'm not sure what else he thought I would do, but it terrified him.

"I'm not going to hurt you" I told him as gently as I could. It didn't seem to calm him at all so I released him and took a step back-tripped over my own feet and fell flat on my backside. He immediately tried to run so with a sigh I slammed the butt of my staff into the ground and a spell of vines seized Hemset by the arms and legs, pinning him against the wall again.

I insisted that he have lunch with me at least-I really should have lead with that because the mention of food instantly swayed him. He picked a rather expensive spot to eat, the cheeky boy and I spoke while he listened-I think. He wasn't terribly polite and he didn't seem interested in my offer so much as he was in the meal. He tried to leave again after, stuffing a few bread rolls in his pockets.

I was disappointed to say the least. I really didn't want to play my next card but he didn't seem to understand how important he was. I knew he had spending a lot of time with a women in her twenties name Sarah. She was very pregnant and despite his efforts, very malnourished. From what I had seen of him, he was always trying to help someone but she actually meant something to him. So I offered to help.

That did it, I had him. I had my apprentice, thank the goddess. Though perhaps it was too soon for that. We headed back to the place he had been calling home, that ungodly broken down building. I waited outside while he ran in to fetch his things but he came running out shortly later screaming for my aid.

His friend, the woman called Sarah had given birth in his absence. The child, a little girl wet with her mother's blood was cradled in Hemset's arms and crying loudly. I ran in to help but it was by far too late. Sarah had been dead for nearly an hour. We hastened our return to the mountain and I set to work on trying to keep the child alive but unlike most injuries this child's body did not know what healthy yet felt like. It is very difficult to cure an ailment when the body does not know any different. We worked tirelessly through the night but by morning the baby was lost to us.

Hemset wept and as much as his tears broke my heart it told me everything I would ever need to know about him. He had a heart stronger than any man I had ever seen, he was perfect for the job, though I prayed it would not overwhelm him.

I helped him give Sarah and her child a proper funeral, aside from the fact that every being deserves a proper funeral, it also helped to dull the edge of Hemset's tongue towards me. Surprisingly enough, he was actually grateful, despite my failings to aid the woman and child. I did not expect one so young to be able to see passed his grief and to know that I had done all I could.

He was still willing to honour our deal and we launched into the world of magic together. Hemset was a quick study and always eager to master all I taught him. He seemed to have a natural talent for the school of destruction magic, fire to be exact. We worked one day to discover what he would be best at, a spell to see what he would natural conjure forward and when he opened his eyes there flames springing to life from his hands. To say that the event startled him would be shy of the truth. He screamed and fell back in horror, the fire leaping from his hands to the surroundings. I lost a few valuable books that day but at least I was able to calm him down and put out the fire.

I learned quickly of Hemset's fear of flame. Fire had taken away nearly all that he had held dear in life and as he stared at his own hands, a revelation crossed his features.

For a moment I thought he might have been losing his mind but as I knelt before him and looked into those troubled blue eyes I knew that despite his past, Hemset was saner than most. His heart was heavy for certain but his mind was clearing of the cobwebs that youth and tragedy had forged to protect him for the memory of setting his home village ablaze. It was an accident, I tried to convince him, time and again I tried but this was one topic to which he would not listen to reason. I'm not sure he will ever stop blaming himself to the hundreds that died that day. Moreover, because of that he finally accepted everything else that had happened to him, for in his mind it proved some sort of penance.

14 years-The Mage of the Mountain
I mentioned before how crucial it was that I find an apprentice as soon as possible but I neglected to explain why. You see, I'm dying. I have been feeling the crippling effects of old age for some time now and have been fighting it off for, perhaps, too long. I simply could not find someone good enough you see. A kind yet fierce soul, someone who would go beyond his duty of keeping peace and balance in the world but who would legitimately care about those within it. Someone who had seen all the sides of man, good, evil and the in between. Someone who would not choose one side of the war over the other. Someone wise and objective and with a strong faith in the High Goddess.

Hemset has all these things and more, some he did not yet realize. I only wish that I had more time to spend with him. The four years that we had were short but filled with progress. Hemset was a quick study in many things and Magic was no exception. Things that took me decades to master, he picked up in those few short years and while he had much practise ahead of him, at least he was able to grasp the basics he needed. I pray it is enough and as my final day nears I see my prayers being answered.

He must have noticed that I've been slowing down. He did not press so hard in our last sparring match. Aside from magic I was teaching him to properly use a staff in combat. Perhaps I was stumbling more than usual though I had hoped he would chalk it up to my typical clumsiness. He did not. My pupil knew me well and his eyes were skilled in the art of observation. He knew something was wrong and finally he demanded the answer from me.

I leaned heavily on my staff as I stepped towards the sharp edge of the mountain arena. Far below lay the beautiful city where he and I first met. It was always a welcome sight. I told him that this was the end, it would be my last day, our last lesson.

We did not actually speak for awhile as we gazed over the cliff to the world below. I did not wish to leave him with another funeral, he had had so many sour goodbyes already. So we said our goodbyes and parting words before I stepped backward off the edge of the cliff.

It has been three months since then and my pupil's heart is yet heavy with grief. A life as the Mage of the Mountain can be a lonely one, I hope he finds someone to share life's joys in.

MENTAL & EMOTIONAL



Personality Ara'mis has long prided himself his success. To say that he doesn't have a pride complex about his work would be foolish, as it is literally his life.

Not only does Ara'mis make a living through his work, but it also keeps him on his toes. He's offended quite a few people by killing off their relatives and significant others. There's a very strong possibility that there's a price on his head, let alone a whole garland of strong feelings such as hatred and disgust. Does this make him want to change his ways? No, it doesn't.

Ara'mis can be your best friend. He can also be the one who kills off your worst enemy. Or perhaps the one you trust guarding the doorway. He can be a lot of things. What he really is consists of lies and masks. Those are the best disguises. Nothing is ever real. Ara'mis is a born liar, and is known for being sly (I suppose that comes with his racial quirks. People from his side of the region aren't known for being trustworthy).

To say that Ara'mis has no true personality is unfair. His core is full of deceit and a general opportunistic outlook. There are two faces he wears commonly: the public mask, and the assassin's mask. In public, he is a pleasant enough individual. "Pleasant" being he can charm a lady away from her man's arm. When he's on a job, though, Ara'mis becomes a cold, ruthless killer with a mind only for the contract.

He'll stop at nothing to get a job done. Scale a cliff? He'll find a way. Slip past a cat without it hearing? Done. Avoid falling to one's death? Succeeded. Multiple times ... and all for coin - Ara'mis holds no loyalty to any individual, and would rather target his own mother than pass up a good payment.

A contract is only as binding as its monetary worth. Ara'mis also enjoys high-profile jobs. Why? They are noticed, you see. What better to see your handiwork from afar? As long as they never see a face, it's the perfect success. He takes pride in his successes, after all. In his mind's eye, there is nothing Ara'mis can't do.

Mortal Alignment Neutral Evil - he holds no loyalty, and is driven by his own desires in any and every situation. Ara'mis is restricted by no law ... or so he tells himself.

Motivation Ara'mis is motivated by the need to stay unpredictable and the best in his field. He is largely moved to action by offers of wealth, as it is the best way to create more networks and bribe others. Ara'mis also will be motivated by high-profile tasks that are difficult and risky to pull off.

Fear(s) Becoming "soft" and actually being loyal to someone is one of his greatest fears. He hates the thought of losing his hold on his skill - he doesn't want to die.

Likes The thrill of a successful contract is something he enjoys. His work is his true enjoyment ... as well as the company of women. He truly does enjoy that. Ara'mis enjoys keeping others unsure of his true self - deceit is a skill he loves deploying.

Dislikes He's not fond of people who speak of friendship or family ties like there's nothing stronger. He finds it ridiculous, and hates hearing it. Ara'mis also dislikes small cute things of any sort. He's not the "stop and smell the roses" sort of person.

Strengths
  • Stealth. If Ara'mis doesn't want to be seen, heard, or even smelled .... he won't be.
  • Brutal and head-strong. Ara'mis will complete a task, even if he has to die to do it. He never leaves a contract unfinished, and will tear a man to pieces if need be.
  • Unprejudiced. Since Ara'mis holds no loyalty, he rarely sees any person as his worst enemy unless they've made themselves one. Yes, he is wary of all, but he will not treat you like scum unless it's warranted.
Weaknesses
  • Unable to accept allies. This leads to complications in any agreement or "friendship" Ara'mis encounters, as he isn't familiar with what's expected (nor does he care).
  • Prideful. He tends to think of his skills highly, and though he never underestimates his opponent, he will attempt feats that often get him into trouble or hurt.
  • Driven by desires. Ara'mis holds little predictability because he is pushed every which way by his own wants and desires. This makes everything he does only as lasting as his desire may be.



SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals Ara'mis doesn't believe in deities or higher powers. There's no point to it - none of them would favor him anyway. If there were any that he so much as jokingly believed, it would be Lady Luck.
Virtues There are few virtues that can be applied to a man who kills for a living. Ara'mis' only virtue is diligence - he will stop at nothing to get a job done. He is very persistent, and doesn't allow himself to be laid-back or lazy.
Sins While Ara'mis has few virtues, he is victim to many sins. Lust is his worst - he's constantly falling into thoughts of the opposite gender, and has received quite a few wounds just for looking at a woman wrong. Greed is high on his list, as his main motivation for work is the price. Anything can be done if the price is high enough. Pride is his third, as he takes far too much pride in every job well done. Really, that means he takes pride in every job he completes, as he sees every one as completed perfectly.



ATTIRE



Head/Neck Ara'mis regularly wears a dark grey hood and cloak, and goes nowhere without it. Ara'mis also wears a necklace with an ice crystal pendant infused with ice magic.
Chest/Back As an assassin, he wears plenty of light leather armor and various pieces of protection.
Arms/Legs While there are bracers about his wrists, Ara'mis wears fingerless gloves and little arm protection. He needs his arms and legs free of restriction for free movement and the delicacies required of his work.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Weapon 1 Ara'mis' main weapons consist of one slightly curved, double-edged dagger, and a long blade. They are very balanced, and he is never seen without them at his waist. Ara'mis' blade has an unnatural quality to it, in such that it is a trails ash.
Weapon 2 Ara'mis' second weapon of choice is a pair of hidden blades sheathed at his wrists. At first sight, they are unnoticeable. They are used namely for stabbing and swift assassinations. The blade has the ability to life-drain, but only if certain conditions are met, such as species and weakness.
Weapon 3 Poison. He carries a small pouch of it with him, though uses it only when necessary. He thinks poison is a cheap and very cliche weapon, but the resources to create it are plentiful.

Mounted [Terrible] -- He's only tried once or twice, but he's not the best rider ... so couple that with weapons, and you get a disaster. Ara'mis despises horseback combat.

History Ara’mis Cy Zane hails from a culture very different from those of the four kingdoms. His own people are known as the Sithe (pronounced “S-eye-th”), and are a scourge on the other races. While primarily human in decent, it is also common to find other bloodlines in many of the Sithe houses.

Sithe Mentality:

The Sithe learn to trust no one - the only time an alliance is made is when they are completely confident in their own skill to outmatch their ally. If there is no trust, there is no true friendship. Alliances are ever-shifting, and hold no value to the Sithe.

The Sithe have no loyalty to their own bloodlines, to greater powers, or to their own race - their loyalty lies in whichever direction they feel currently led, and can be easily shifted. Every one of the Sithe admires stealth and guile, and are encouraged to become more proficient in the ways of assassination, thievery, spy networking, and various other shady professions that the rest of the world would frown upon.

It is particularly important to realize that the Sithe cannot be trusted, and are devious beyond all else.

Sithe Culture/Society:

The Sithe society is heavily influenced by sin and a lack of structure. While most societies are ruled by either patriarchs (males) or matriarchs (females), the Sithe are simply ruled by whoever is fit to lead. There is no king or ruler of their society - not for long. Their homeland is made up of a dozen houses, each of which have a leader of their own.

Each leader comes to power and will eventually be killed off while another takes their place. Each house is based on the roles that the Sithe enjoy taking. There is the assassin's house/guild, the thieves’ house/guild, the spy house, etc.

Ara’mis’ childhood and young teen years:

As a child, he knew the darkness of his society. It didn’t matter to him; darkness was normal, so why should it bother him? He was raised by his mother and older brother, was born with a blade in his hand, and learned various tricks to stay out of harm’s way.

He was never forced to realize what the Sithe "lack of loyalty" meant until he was old enough to choose which house he wanted to be in. Immediately, Ara’mis knew he wanted to be an assassin. As he fought to join their ranks, he trained. He trained every waking moment, fiercely gaining skill and determination. He would join the assassin’s house, no matter what stood between him and his goal.

On his twelfth birthday, he was chosen to join the ranks upon completing one task: an assassination. If he were to fail, then he would never join the assassin’s house. Ara’mis accepted his first mission. He found out later that it consisted of killing one man. That one man was his brother.
To become a killer, one must lose their humanity. Ara’mis destroyed himself the day he took his brother’s life. His fall was completed when his own mother turned against him at the knowledge. She led him into the wooded forests outside of their city in an attempt to leave him dead among the trees. As fate would have it, Ara’mis was the victor of their fight. It haunted him for years to be forced to fight his own mother and brother both, and to kill each of them in turn.

When he returned to the city, Ara’mis had no family to speak of. Not only had he completed his guild master’s assignment, but he’d rid himself of any loyalties he’d ever formed. When he officially joined the assassin’s house, Ara’mis was determined to become the best.

Departing from the Sithe and recent past:

Ara’mis swiftly became untouchable. He rose through the ranks of the assassin’s house, and was destined to become the leader. As he became more skilled, the youth found himself … lacking something. He didn’t want to stay with the Sithe in the endless cycle of domination. If he were to become leader, he would be slain. Instead of this, he wanted something more.

He left the Sithe suddenly, and knew he wouldn’t be missed. As he ventured into the kingdoms, he found it simple to blend in. There were quite a few people who didn’t want to get their hands dirty, and were willing to pay through the nose to get things done. Ara’mis preyed on them quite proficiently, and slowly but surely saw his handiwork rise among the ranks. As war plagued the land, Ara’mis merely grew more content. He now had a land full of strife and hatred to use to his advantage.

It was a few years into his routine when Ara’mis found himself in the oddest of situations. At the age of seventeen he was traveling with a group of what the common folk called “brigands.” Ara’mis was scouting and keeping watch for the night when he caught sight of something that he wouldn’t have been able to see had it not been for his uncanny ability to see in the dark. He approached, and was attacked by the most unlikely of creatures – Fiaria, of all people. They fought intensely, and after an evenly skilled match, Ara’mis managed to land a blow – a lovely wound along the woman’s side.

All the commotion from their fight alerted the others to trouble. Ara’mis, strangely, did not reveal Fiaria’s presence to the others. Instead, he waited until everyone had headed back to camp before seeking the strange huntress out. He found her, which should have been impossible for a human in the dark. Luckily, Ara’mis’ ability to see in the dark aided him in finding her trail of blood and tracking her down not far off.

They spoke. For once, Ara’mis was nearly interested in befriending someone once again. But … that would have been foolish. Instead, he helped Fiaria by offering her bindings for her wounds, and made a deal with the girl. He would help her take down the man she was after (coincidentally someone he was guarding) if she gave him something of value. No job was ever done for free, after all. The task was completed, and Ara’mis was just as “surprised” as his brigand allies in the morning when they found the body. With that, Ara’mis chose to enter the kingdom of Yuua and leave the roads behind. He couldn’t be stuck with low-profile goons forever. His curiosity about his own bloodline prompted him to head home to the Sithe for a brief while before finishing there and returning to Yuua.

While his presence can’t be confirmed, Ara’mis is most certainly known throughout the land. There is no trademark to his work, save the fact that the tasks he performs are largely impossible. Ara’mis has recently taken residence in the kingdom of Yuua, where he offered his services to the first person who caught his eye: the Princess Helena.



OTHER



Extras Doesn’t like music of any form (likely because music is very emotional). Seeks greater purpose, though doesn’t admit it to himself.

Ara’mis has the ability to see in the dark, and feels quite at home within the shadows. Not all Sithe have infravision, but Ara’mis’ mixed bloodline gives him such sight. It is speculated that Fiaria’s family is mixed into Ara’mis’ at some point in the past.

Personality People see Lonan as lazy and good for nothing, but what do they really know? Oh he is good at fooling people to hide his true nature. The man is nothing more than a conniving scoundrel. He is cocky, selfish, egotistical, narcissistic and just a regular ass. He is a playboy and he doesn't see why he shouldn't be with his looks. Lonan realizes that he is egotistical and probably borderline narcissistic, but that's just who he is. Nothing will ever change his ways.

To Lonan life is just a game and he is playing to win. He sees life as a fragile and temporary state of being. A state that can end just as easily as it began. One just needs to remember that Death is the prize that awaits us all at the end of this game. If he thinks he can use someone to get ahead in this little game he'll find a way to do it in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for sympathy or pity don't ever turn to him because more than likely you're not going to get it from him. Really it's hard to tell if this guy even has a heart. Lonan has never let anyone get close enough to find out. It's very doubtful that he loves anything more than riches, fame and himself.

Motivation Lonan is purely motivated by money and fame. He is also motivated by playing the game of life to it's fullest even if it means using people to get ahead.

Fear(s) Losing to the game before it's truly over. Getting attached to something or someone. He likes his life the way it is and doesn't care if he really has a heart or not. Truthfully he doesn't want to take the time to find out if he is capable of loving things other than himself, money, fame and playing the role of the lazy, good for nothing playboy bounty hunter.

Likes Himself, fame, money, woman, alcohol, sweets. Did he mention himself. Oh he also enjoys having Eririn as his companion. Being lazy and not exerting more energy than necessary and letting others do his dirty work.

Dislikes Losing, this is something he hates more than anything. Getting his hands dirty and having to do hard work. People who try to make him change his ways. Lonan also hates to feel emotions unless they are directed towards money or himself.

Strengths
  • Hiding his true skills and talent. Lonan hides himself well behind the mask of a lazy good for nothing playboy who every once in a while plays bounty hunter and gets lucky doing so due to having his mate. The man likes to leave people guessing and is amused when they realize he actually knows what he's doing in a fight. No one would really pick him to be much of a fighter much less be good at it.
  • Handsome face. Let's face it Lonan knows that his handsome features make woman and even some men attracted to him. He also knows just how to use this to his advantage to get what he wants. Although it does nothing, but to help inflate his already enormous ego.
  • Charisma. This is probably one his best qualities. From time time Lonan has been known to inspire others. Unfortunately he tends to just use his charisma to charm people and get them to do things for him. As a means to just use them for his own gain. It's such a waste of a great talent.
Weaknesses
  • Egotistical and narcissistic ways. Seriously this guy loves himself way too much. Oh and if you are ever talking with Lonan and don't want to get bored for hours just listening to him go on about himself the best thing you can do is keep the conversation on other topics. Don't give him the chance to start talking about himself. Thinking of himself gets him in trouble more often then not.
  • Lack of emotion. Lonan doesn't consider this to be a weakness, but it is one of his short comings. He would much rather not feel anything when it concerns other people. Now if it's towards himself, wealth or status then that's a different story. His lack of emotions can cause him problems from time to time and it's usually concerning his mate.
  • Wealth and status. The only thing he loves more than these is himself. He will do just about anything to gain them. Lonan doesn't care what the means are, who he has to use or who he has to step on. If he has a chance to get ahead he will take it.



SPIRITUAL




Faith & Morals Agnostic. He doesn't really believe in gods or spirits or anything of that sort. He does believe in the possibility that there could be some greater power out there that is pulling the strings. Lonan is motivated by wealth and of course fame.
Virtues Patience is probably one of the only redeeming qualities that Lonan possesses. One thing is for sure he doesn't mind waiting for an opening to make his move. Also if he can get something done by not having to resort of fighting and getting his hand dirty he'll do it. Despite being lazy the man does possess a bit of diligence in the respect of never giving up. If he isn't able to get what he wants one way then he will look for another. At times he can be rather meticulous with his actions to insure the results he wants.
Sins Sin is something that Lonan is no stranger to. At the top of his list is greed for wealth, status and attention. Next would have to be pride/vanity. He is one of the most self centered people that you will ever meet. One has to wonder how he can go around standing so tall while shouldering that huge ego of his. Another sin that makes the list is lust. Other than lust for himself he is a playboy, he also loves good booze. The way he seeks wealth and status you could say he even lusts for them as well. The man can be gluttonous when it comes to getting attention, seeking money or gaining fame. He will almost stop at nothing to gain them.


ATTIRE



Head/Neck He rarely wears anything on his head because he doesn't want to mess up his hair. Usually Lonan wears what appears to be a collar around his neck which is attached to the black leather chest armor he wears. If a job requires it he will disguise himself, usually by wearing his 'assassin' attire instead of his normal attire. For times such as that he will wear a black mask that covers his mouth and nose, hiding most of his face.
Chest/Back Lonan's normal attire consists of a crimson sleeveless shirt with black leather bottom under black leather chest armor and a black sleeveless jacket (trench length). The leather armor only covers his chest. The shirt cuts off at an angle and reveals a bit of his midriff.
Arms/Legs On his arms he wears black and crimson sleeves, covering most of them. Lonan also wears black utility belt over black pants and crimson leg warmer looking things over his black boots and pants.

History Lonan Xavier Corbin was born in the kingdom of Yuua the only son of Julius Lester Corbin and Mary Elizabeth Abendroth Corbin. He doesn't remember much about either of his parents. They both died in a mysterious accident when he was a small boy. At the time his only living relative was his maternal grandfather. Gunther was a terrible man. Lonan didn't know the reason and never would find out why, but his grandfather hated him and didn't try hiding it. All he knew is that he couldn't do anything right in that man's eyes. If he done the smallest thing wrong he would get beaten or locked away, sometimes days at a time. Lonan was over joyed when Gunther finally 'passed' away. Of course he may have helped him along the way a bit, but that man had taught the young boy that life was merely a play thing and a game, if you will. As long as you were in control and knew what the prize at the end of the game was there is nothing to fear. All you have to do is enjoy playing to it's fullest.

When the old man died Lonan was only ten years of age. The boy was already damaged beyond repair as he was tossed into an orphanage. There he changed even more. He became more cocky and egotistical. None of the other children wanted anything to do with him, neither did most of the adults. Lonan played people off of each other to his advantage. After all if life was a game like his grandfather had taught him then he was going to play it to win. He wasn't about to let anyone treat him like that man had ever again. Nothing was going to be given to you free in this world. If there was something he wanted he would have to take it. So this is what he did. The boy's stay at the orphanage lasted until he was thirteen. Tired of people trying to control him like he was their puppet instead of them being his he ran away. To start a new life and see where this game took him next.

For a while Lonan just travelled from place to place never staying long. He would do odd jobs, picking up skills along the way. His journey lead him to a man named Dimitri. Dimitri was a master swordsman and bounty hunter. The man's laidback lifestyle along with how he was able to basically get what he wanted with ease. The man had status/fame and some wealth. It took Lonan several times approaching Dimitri before the man finally agreed to teach him who to improve his fighting skills and to teach him the ways of the world as it were. Even though the pair spent years together Lonan never opened up to Dimitri about his past, but Dimitri didn't care. He did however get annoyed with the teen and his narcissistic ways and his little care for lives other than his own. Despite this the older man did all he could for the teen in hopes that maybe he would change. Of course he never did.

The pair parted ways after a disagreement. By this time Lonan was twenty and more than ready to leave the softy behind him. He had learned everything he needed to survive and to get what he desired. Even though they split on not so good terms Dimitri gave Aisland to him as a farewell. This pleased the man as Aisland was his favorite of the two horses the men had bought together a few years back. He spent the next year traveling on his own as a solo bounty hunter. Most people laughed at him when he told them he was a bounty hunter. They just couldn't imagine this narcissistic, lazy, good for nothing man as a bounty hunter. Things were rough at first, but that didn't bother him one bit.

One day while he was travel through the forest using a short cut to get to the next village he ended up falling off his horse. Well he thought it was a short cut, but really he had just managed to get himself lost due to his stupidity. A man had offered to guide him to the next village safely for a fee. Lonan being the tightwad that he is didn't take the man's offer and ventured out on his own. Anyway Aisland threw him off due to a bear startling him. The stallion took off running, leaving Lonan on the ground to deal with the beast. The bear roared at him as he pulled out he reached for his swords. What happened next seemed like it was in slow motion. A woman came out of no where and easily defeated the beast that was twice her size.

He had to have her he thought to himself. With her as my partner I can easily gain wealth and fame. That is what he thought in that moment. Raising to his feet he dusted himself off. As the woman cleaned her blade he spoke up complimenting her on her skill as well as her strength. Lonan's words were velvety and smooth. She didn't take much convincing to become his partner, which pleased him.

A couple of years passed and the two grew closer. They developed a friends with benefits type relationship which was fine with him. As long as Eririn was happy and it kept her by his side then he would play the role of her lover even if he didn't feel the same. It be able to use her to keep him from having to soil his hands suited him. So far she was the best pawn he had found to use in this game of life that he played.

All together the pair have been partners for five years now. Eririn has become dependent on him and in some ways he on her. With the news of the princess' disappearance and there being a handsome reward for her return or for her death Lonan decided it was time to go on a new venture for cash. Just like usually he would align himself with the highest bidder. To him it doesn't matter if the job is to bring the princess back alive or dead. All that matters is the cash and what fame this will bring him. He cares not if it the results of his job will bring about the union or destruction of the two kingdoms.

MENTAL & EMOTIONAL



Personality
Sneaky, conniving, mischievous, you name it, she's the trickiest of them all. Eririn is cheerful, friendly, and highly outgoing at the surface. Her suggestively flirty chatter can be off-putting for some, but never trust someone like her. On word of her mate, she can turn on you in a millisecond. Her decisions are solely made by her mate's actions and words, and she rarely does any of it herself. Instead, she does all the dirty work; the bloodshed, the assassinations, revenge plots, you name it and she's probably done it. She lacks the empathy and capacity to feel regret in her actions, since she's been doing such inhumane acts for decades on end. She isn't very sympathetic either, or in any case, she lacks most guilty human emotion towards anyone but her mate. Selfish, clingy, and passion driven, Eririn will stop at nothing to make sure her mate is satisfied. She can also be cocky and overconfident, as long as you chew more than you can swallow.

Now, underneath Eririn's happy-go-lucky, cold-blooded surface, hides another person. A scared little girl, still missing a part of her heart where her family used to be. Under the killer is a naive girl who can barely think for herself, and tends to be very indecisive. Take her away from her mate, and Eririn displays signs of abandonment issues, loneliness, and insecurity. All she wishes for is to be useful to someone, anyone really. Attention was something she rarely got to receive when she was younger, and she will do anything for it now, even under the manipulation of people who don't want blood on their hands. As stated, Eririn is actually very easy to manipulate-- even if her strength and skill remain unmatched by any human, if you can break her mentally, she loses the will to fight and becomes extremely vulnerable. Her mate is her one weakness and the one to sway her decisions if she were to make them herself, so just saying you know her mate will have her follow you around and do your bidding for whatever reason (until she finds out you've been lying). Someone like her shouldn't be left alone at all due to her fragile mental state, despite her prowess in battle, she'll breakdown if you neglect to give her the attention she needs (kind of like a pet).

On the page of wanting attention, she's always one to turn attention to herself, displaying large illusions with vivid colors and magic. She loves the attention (and the extra pocket cash) she recieves whenever she does magic shows will her abilities and the like, because it keeps her from being completely lonely.

Mortal Alignment Neutral Evil, Eririn listens to no one but her mate and will follow him to the ends of the earth. She has little-to-no sympathy to those who stand in her way.

Motivation Her mate is her motivation, if not, she's usually driven by pure instinct, almost as if she was built just to needlessly kill. She isn't truly sure why she does what she does, but if her mate says to, she will execute it without question.

Fear(s) Losing her mate. She's often plagued by nightmares of him dying, disappearing, etc, so she sticks to him like glue. She's also afraid of being abandoned and alone, and will cry if left behind for too long.

Likes Bloodshed, blackmail, eyeballs, her mate, fighting, anything pink, heights, meat, and gambling. Eririn dabbles in a bit of everything, gambled wrong and want someone dead? She's your girl.

Dislikes People touching her mate, people touching her, unreasonable kindness, vegetables, sweets, pacifists, most humans, weaklings.

Strengths
  • Fighting in any degree, she's extremely skilled at fighting, and she isn't someone you should be taking on alone. She has enhanced senses (sight, hearing, etc), unmatched strength, and quick regeneration abilities.
  • Seduction. She's very good at sweet talking people, even distracting people with sexual desire if she had to.
  • Gambling. It's a trait she picked up during her travels, she's gotten quite good at it.

Weaknesses
  • Emotionally and Mentally Dependent. It's simple really, do anything to her mate and her confidence and incentive to fight will disappear, and leave a scared little girl behind.
  • Over Confident. Due to her agile nature and strength in combat, it's no surprise that someone that stays almost anonymous (even with a bounty on her head) with a growing list of victories, that she would be confident. This leads to her underestimating her opponents a bit, and gives her some bad disadvantages if her head isn't focused.
  • Eliminatable. Being born from a human mother and a demon father, she did gain immortality and regenerative abilities, but it is possible to put her down. Depending on how much you cut her up or dispose of her body, it can take up to a decade or more before she regenerates back to her full shape. (She has to recharge magical power, but it doesn't matter how scattered she is she'll grow back eventually..)



SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals She doesn't believe or belong to any religion. Eririn believes it's pointless to follow or practice such pointless things, but doesn't harbor any ill feelings towards people who do, as long as she isn't pestered by them.
Virtues Diligence. She's extremely persistent, and is one of the hardest workers. If something needs to be done, she'll probably be the first one on the case. You need a cook? Eririn's got your back. Need someone dead ASAP? Eririn's got that covered too.
Sins Lust. She wants everything and anything she can get of Lonen, even if it seems excessive, Eririn will stop at nothing to gain every last bit of her mate.



ATTIRE



Head/Neck She has eyeball hair-bows to keep her hair up almost all the time. She also has a mask that she wears whenever she goes off to do some dirty work. There are also horns hidden in her hair, and it's easy to find if you feel her head.
Chest/Back Eririn has a cloak that covers her whole body for the winter, and if not needed, she merely shrinks it and hides it under her chest.
Arms/Legs Her staff is retractable, so she merely shrinks it and fits it under her dress, and pulls it out when she needs it.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Weapon 1 A spear about double her size and weight, very sharp and Eririn sharpens it constantly.
Weapon 2 A knife she keeps under her skirt, don't ask where she keeps her weapons because its her well guarded secret.
Magic Regeneration, Size Manipulation, and Illusion. On top of her superhuman senses, she contains abilities gained and trained through endless practice. She can regenerate any lost limb or body part so long as she has the magical energy to do so (very difficult to wear her down but it is possible). She is able to make herself and inanimate objects smaller or larger, proving useful when she has to sneak into small crevices or past guards. Illusions are her specialty, if you want one, just prepare for one big, colorful, and just screaming, "magical," Eririn loves to go all out on her illusionary displays, and even likes to make her own flamboyant entrance.

History

Born in a remote village on the border some 100 years ago, Eririn was the child of a human mother and a demon father. As a halfling, she is forbidden to exist and are known only to be a myth.

The story goes that her mother, Reia, was unable to give birth to children, and made her unattractive to the men in the village. In order to bear a child she's always wanted, she turns to dark magic for aid. A couple of failed summonings and spells later she accidentally summons her father, Luce, a powerful demon in the underworld who stumbled across the summoning circle by mistake. Despite his dark aura and cruel demeanor, Reia quickly realized the powerful demon was the biggest crybaby ever if she played her words right. With her wits, she seduced Luce and made the blood contract with him.

This caused troubling rumors across the village as dark magic is highly looked down upon. Reia became known as a witch in the village, and soon threats of witch hunters came running to her door. Unsure of what to do, she told Luce of the dilemma, unknown to her that a baby, Eririn, was forming inside her. Worried for his contractor, Luce flew her off to a cottage not to far away, where they spent their days peacefully.

When Eririn's birth neared, storms rumbled and were followed by long droughts that gave Reia's ex-friends and family quite the scare, and decided to hire a witch hunter to track the two down. When Eririn was born, the moon shone red and demons laughter could be heard echoing in the forest. It took the hunter three years to track them down, and when she did find them, she found Eririn, at three years, with them. Fear flowed through her and she fled back to the village to report her findings. The villagers soon became fearful of their safety and mobbed over to the cottage.

Reia was busy teaching Eririn to write when they had arrived, torches and stakes and knifes in hand. Luce was off to gather food in a faraway village, and the villagers took this chance to take Reia and beat her to death. Stabbing, staking, burning, Reia screamed the entire time, but never stopped looking at Eririn, who was frozen with fear.

Once Luce had arrived, Reia was dead and was now being burned at the stake. Now they had begun to beat Eririn, and yet no matter how many times they tried to cut her, she healed instantaneously. Now with the ferocious demon at their backs, the villagers could only scream as fire burned the forest, killing those who had beat his wife and child. But before death, the witch hunter managed to open a portal to seal Luce back into the underworld, and before he left, he reached out to Eririn one last time and whispered his apology.

All alone now, Eririn spent the next 50 years fending for herself, fighting for herself, and gaining and losing many companions. She was desperate and on the verge of insanity when she stumbled upon Quincy. She was merely wandering about and happened to save him from vengeful thugs. After beating them all down with little effort, the man was clearly impressed with her strength, but saw she was stiff and lacked grace in her fight. So, he decided to take her under his wing, and they spent the next 10 years training together and doing jobs.

As he grew old, he saw that Eririn seemed untouched by the passing years, and questioned her about her origins. She explained her situation with little to no regard on her race's controversy and Quincy immediately turned on her. Eririn defeated the man easily, but she left him to die with dark words,

"I may be wanted dead, but you've taught me survival. It'll be sooo much easier to fight now! Thank you!~"

Alone again, Eririn would end up moving from person to person for the next 50 years, always moving on after they die, but not before taking an eye. She mourned every partner's death as if they were family, but never stopped moving on.

Fast forward 45 years. Eririn was surviving on her own after her last partner ended up betraying her yet again. She was angry, lonely and desperate for someones attention and love, and it just happened to come her way. She was chasing a bear in the woods, and she caught it roaring at a male. She ignored the male at that moment; her first instinct was to kill and eat. She slayed the bear twice her size in seconds, graceful as a stinging bee. She was busy cleaning her bloodstained weapon before the male spoke up. He was taken in by her combat skill and strength, and wanted her to join him in his jobs. Eririn happily complied with his request, her last partner out of her mind. Fast forward two years, and the two become a sort of "lovers/friends with benefits," and Eririn became so infatuated with her new mate that she became completely dependent on his sole existence. Fast forward three years, and the two have been a duo for five years, and the incident of the kingdom turns up and the two end up on the venture for cash.



OTHER



Extras She's a demon, so it makes sense it's pretty hard to kill her, she'll regenerate from nothing, so it's best to have holy water or fire to slow her regeneration process.

She adores eyeballs, and whenever she eliminates someone, it's become her signature to remove one of their eyes and hold on to it, especially if it was a satisfying kill.

Her powers have limits as well, in size manipulation, she has to wait half an hour or more (depending on the size) before she can turn (it) back into full size because it makes her nauseous every time. Her illusions aren't physically real, so it's easy for Eririn to make them as big and fancy as she wants to without wasting a ton of magical energy, but this makes them easy to see through if you have a good eye. Her regenerative abilities also depend on her energy as well as her magical power, but she has a lot of endurance and stamina, so you're in for a long fight if you want to tire her out.

Body markings Fiaria has a tear shaped spot on her chest. It's a mark that represents the head family of Ice Claw Clan, where she is from. Scars There is a four inch long scar that goes diagonally across the middle of Fiaria's back she received from a human during the attack on her clan which scattered them to the wind. It is only really visible when she is in her true/beast form and her human form.

Personality There are several different things that make up Fiaria's personality. On one side she is influenced by the way she was raised. She was taught from a young age to uphold the traditional values of the Katayan and the Ice Claw Clan. This being said even with her clan destroyed she still upholds the traditions that she believes to be right. One of the things she most believes in is being loyal to your kinsman. The only way she wouldn't help out another member of her race whether they be full blooded or mix-blood was if they betrayed her trust.

Fiaria knows well that her kind a feared and looked down upon by humans. Even knowing this she still can't help the curiosity she has for the human world, mostly being happy with just quietly observing from a distance. Humans are interesting creatures to her.

Despite the fact that humans had attacked her clan, scattering them to the winds she doesn't hate them, at least not like she did after the attack. As time passed the woman came to terms with what happened and put aside her feelings of hate. After all hatred would only bring about more hatred. This was a lesson Fiaria learned the hard way many years ago.

One day she hopes that the humans and the other creatures of this world can live in peace. Fiaria may wish for peace, but isn't naive enough to think that it will come without a price. She is a fierce woman who is fearless when she's fighting for something she believes in or to protect others no matter who they are.

Confident, strong, stubborn and a bit cold is how most people see her when they first met. If one takes to the time to try to get to know the tiger woman they would see that she can also be very caring and gentle woman. They will also find out that she takes pride in who and what she is even if others fear or hate her for it.

Strengths
  • Perseverance - Being left to fend for herself at the age of twelve she always managed a find a way to survive, to deal with what life throws at her and over come obstacles. Fiaria hasn't had an easy life, but really she wouldn't have it any other way. The ability to learn, adapt and survive are three of the most important skills she possesses.
  • Fierce and Fearless - No matter the odds Fiaria moves forward without fear. She is a fierce woman and warrior accepting whatever challenges come her way. There is nothing left for this woman to lose as most of what she held close and dear disappeared when she was still a child. So she will continue to move forward, fighting for what she believes is right.
  • Protective Nature - Naturally protective of those she cares about and the safety of others the tiger woman is known for being selfless when others are in danger. Her warrior pride will not allow her to let those she fights along side or those who aren't involved in her battles to come to harm. She makes an excellent ally if you gain her trust and respect.

  • Curiosity - Fiaria is curious by nature. Things that are new and different intrigue her. Being over curious has lead to her getting into trouble on more than one occasion.

Faith & Morals Nebe Blodmåne is the religion of the Katayans and the one that she believes in. She often prays to the different gods for guidance as she walks down the new path she has chosen.
Virtues Diligence is something that makes this woman who she is. She isn't one to give up even when the odds are not in her favor. Fiaria will do all within her power to do what she thinks is right and she must do. Fiaria shows kindness to all in her own way. This is something she is gaining slowly as she does her best to put the past behind her and start over.
Sins One thing that Fiaria will always struggle with is wrath. For the most part she has managed to hide away her hate, but from time to time it still springs forward. It's doubtful that she will ever truly overcome the dislike she carries for humans.

Head/Neck Sometimes she wears a golden circlet with a brillant ice crystal around her head. It's getting rarer for her to wear it since she doesn't see the point of wearing the status symbol in a world where it means nothing. She often wears a hooded cloak, typically in a color that will blend into where she's travelling at the time. When in human form she sometimes attempt to hide her tiger ears with a hat.
Chest/Back While in her true/beast form she typically wears a form fitting leather dress with a belt that has pouches hanging from it. When in her human form she usually wears a light white shirt under a black leather waist cincher with a long skirt that has a split up to her thigh on the side.
Arms/Legs In her true form she wears gold and blue bracers that match her circlet along with an arm band that also has an ice crystal. She also wears over the knee boots. While in human form she wears black leather and metal gauntlets as well as thigh high black leather boots.

Weapon 1 Frozen Tear (pictured above). This long sword was enchanted with ice magic by her ancestors. It is one of the few things that she has left from her home.

Weapon 3 Magic. The magic she possess' is mostly elemental based. Fiaria specializes in ice magic. She is also able to use water, wind and earth magic, but only for minor attacks and defenses. Her healing magic is very limited and only able to heal minor injuries.

Hand-to-hand [Above Average] -- One of the greatest weapons any Katayan has is their claws. Fighting with weapons isn't always an option so Fiaria has no problem with getting her claws dirty when needed. When given the option though she will almost always choose using her sword over her own hands.
Melee [Excellent] -- Hand-to-hand fighting is fun in all, but it won't always win the battle. Fiaria would much rather fight with a weapon, such as her sword. Being from a warrior race it's only natural that she pick up on the different forms of fighting and attempt to master one.
Ranged [Average] -- Keen eyesight in both the day time and night has its advantages as well. Bow and arrow are her chose range weapons, but she's equally accurate with throwing knifes or chakram.
Magic [Above Average] -- Magically ability is inherent in her family. It's only nature that she be trained to use that magic.

Fiaria Anise Silverfang was born in the Katayan village of Borania home of the Ice Claw Clan within the Kuede Mountains.

Katayan Culture/Society
The Katayan are a feline shape-shifting race. They have three forms; one is where they look human except they have cat ears and tails along with markings on their body similar to the large cat they resemble, the second one they look like half cat and half human, and the third form is their cat form, in this form they would look like one of these big cats Tiger (orange, white, or black), Lion (brown or white), Panther (black or white), Leopard (regular or snow), or Lynx. They live in clans or tribes which usually have one main village, but sometimes have a couple smaller ones that are under the clan’s control. Most clans are friendly towards each other. Even though they are friendly they are very fierce warriors most other races think they are violent because they are mysterious and tend to keep to themselves, so little known about them. They also live in the depths of forests, jungles and mountains to keep hidden.

The Ice Claw Clan much like the other clans of the Katayan are very structured. The clan is ruled by the head family who receives support and guidance from the Clan Elders. They are very loyal to their bloodlines and others of their race. Blood is their bond as it should be, at least in their eyes. The head families of each clan usually are the strongest whether it be in brute strength, magic or both. The Silverfang family of the Ice Claw Clan is made up of two main families. One is the Silverfang’s who have always been admired and honored for their strength and fearlessness while in battle. The other family is the Fubuki family who are well known for their use of magic, specializing in ice magic.


Before the World Turned Upside Down
From the mo
ment she was born it was expected of her to become the next head of the clan by the elders. Her training to learn the valued traditions of her people and the ways of the clan began when she turned two years old. As she grew older she began to realize what was expected of her and what her destiny was to be or so she foolishly thought. With the aid of her two younger siblings she had no doubt that she would be able to become the leader her people sought when the time came for her to take over. Those dreams were not to be.

By the age of four she had managed to learn to control her magic powers and by six she had completely mastered shifting between her three different forms. Most of her days were filled with lessons and practice that ranged from using magic, fighting, history and what she would need to become a leader. Her learning went well though from time to time she would give the elders who were teaching her problems as she would sneak off to play with her siblings and other children instead of studying. The tiger woman might not have had a normal childhood, but it was a happy one.

Fiaria was always a curious creature and this was something that her parents and the elders tried to force her to not let get the best of her. Perhaps it was the girl’s curiosity that saved her on that fateful day shortly after she turned twelve. There had been rumors of humans seen in the mountains near the village. Due to these rumors it was forbidden that any of the children go into the forest without an adult. Fiaria being who she is didn’t listen knowing well that if she didn’t go off on her own she wouldn’t be able to see a human from a safe distance of course. She snuck out in search of these foreign creatures that she had heard stories of. Even though she knew that her kind were feared and hated it didn’t make her less curious.

While out in the forest searching an army of humans entered Borania. Hearing the fighting and cries the young girl rushed back to her home to find it under siege. At first she stood at the edge staring in disbelief as those devils slaughtered her clansmen. It didn’t matter to them if those they attacked were elderly, children or unable to fight back. An enormous rage welled up within Fiaria. With a roar filled with hatred and rage she rushed into the battle, picking up a sword as she headed towards the man who was attacking a woman. Swinging the sword she blocked the man’s axe. Glancing back she ordered the woman to run. The young girl fought with skill beyond her years, but there was only so much she could do to help her clansmen. They were outnumbered and at a disadvantage with some of the new technology the humans had brought with them.

Fiaria will never forget her father giving the order to those who could to retreat to safety. He also ordered a couple of his strongest fighters to guard his family as they retreated. He was going to stay and fight until the end. The girl tried to argue, but none would listen. Alemi was the person whom her father had entrusted her to. The man was someone she had looked up to and trusted. He picked her up and got her safely to the forest.

She remembers Alemi setting her down and her pleading with him for them to go back to fight. He told her no, she was the future leader and as such needed to stay safe. Just as she was about to argue with him he pushed her away with a growl. Next thing she knew Alemi was struggling with a human that had followed them. Without thinking she attacked the man with her sword to get him away from her bodyguard. What happened after that point is a bit foggy in the woman’s mind. She remembers the human yelling, Alemi scrambling to his feet and moving to between her and the human. Someone else was there, another human they hadn’t noticed. He came up behind her and struck her leaving a gash diagonally across her back, one which she still has a scar from. The blow most have knocked her out because after that point all she knows is that she awoke to find herself alone. Alemi’s lifeless bloody body was lying beside her. He had protected her until the very end.

Alone in a New World
A sad roar escaped the young Katayan as she kneeled beside the body of her fallen guardian and friend. The scent of blood was thick in the air. It was a mixture of that of her kin and that of the humans. The girl’s back hurt from the slash across it. Somehow she managed to take care of the wound before finally willing herself to rise to her feet. Fiaria found herself wandering in the direction of her village. The sight before her when she reached her destination was burned into her memory. It is something she’ll never forget. Most of the village burning, bodies of her kin and humans everywhere, blood stained the ground a brilliant crimson. She searched frantically through what remained of her home. Much to her despair she found the bodies of her parents. Kneeling beside them then and there she clinched her fist swearing to take revenge on the humans who destroyed their home, that scatter those who managed to survive to the winds. She would hunt them down and they would pay.

There wasn’t much left, but the young girl managed to find a few things to help heal her wounds and to at least get her started on her new journey. After burying her parents bodies Fiaria left the ruins of the village. Hatred raged in her heart and her mind was made up. She set out to track down the humans who destroyed everything she held dear in this world. Her journey led her across the land into foreign territory, but that didn’t stop her. Slowly she was able to track down the humans that remained of the army from that day. Many rumors spread about the murders she committed. In many ways the teen girl had become the creature that human’s feared her race to be.

Finding Her Own Path
At the age of twenty she was coming closer to her goal. She had spent months tracking down a group of men who were connected to the destruction of her home. One night she had finally found them in an encampment. Little did Fiaria know that her world would start to change again with the meeting of a single human of mix-blood. That man was Ara’mis. She was encircling the camp when she spotted the man approaching her. Without a second thought she attacked him. They fought intensely, evenly skilled, until Ara’mis managed to land a blow leaving her with a wound on her side.

The commotion of their fight had alerted the other humans. She was surprised as the male basically pushed her as she moved to duck behind a bush. It was strange that he didn’t reveal her presence to the other humans. While he was assuring them nothing was wrong she took the opportunity to escape into the forest. A safe distance away she sat under a tree to treat her wound and rethink her plan. Fiaria also wondered why Ara’mis had a familiar scent, one similar to her clan. As she rested she remembered that long ago a member of her family had been banished for crimes against the clan. Maybe that person had made a home with humans? It seemed strange, but she supposed it was possible.

When Ara’mis found Fiaria they met on better terms. The pair spoke. He offered her bindings which she was hesitant to take. The deal he offered her was one she didn’t pass up. He would help her to kill the three men she was after. Of course she had to give up something of value in return for his help. The item she gave him was one that held value, both sentimental and monetary. It was necklace with an ice crystal pendant, the crystal infused with ice magic from her family. With the man’s help she completed her mission without another incident.

This chance encounter made the now young woman wonder if she could possible wrong about all humans. From the time she left the ruins of the village and until now she had only been observing the darker side of humanity. Maybe not all humans are like the men she had been killing. After this the woman moved on continuing what she set out to do. This time though she took time to observe the other sides that human’s held.

A few years after her encounter with Ara’mis Fiaria had another this time with a child. The child happened upon her standing of the bloody body of their father. The look that child had in his eyes as he glared at her shook something inside her. The child reminded her of herself eleven years ago. Maybe her course wasn’t the right one? One day would this child come hunting for her because she took the life of their father? The tiger woman moved to the boy, kneeling. She told him ‘I don’t expect you to understand and I don’t expect you to forgive me for what I have done. This was the path I chose after losing my entire family. Don’t make the same mistake as me, but if you do one day decide to hunt me for what I’ve done then I’ll accept that fate. Though if you do, I won’t go down without a fight.’ Really she hadn’t expected the boy to understand what she meant, but she hoped that maybe part of what she said would reach him. That it would make a difference.

After that the woman continued to travel not staying in one place too long. It seemed she had basically given up on her vow of revenge. Time passed and her opinion of humans changed. She came to realize that they had more sides and were actually quite interesting to watch. The more she watched and learned the more she started to remember the old legends that the elders use to tell her. As she put aside her feelings of hate, burying them deep within her heart, she found new hope. A hope that maybe one day the humans and other creatures of this world can live in peace like they did in the days of old.

Now the Katayan can be found roaming the lands, mostly between the kingdoms of Yuua and Rashmaal. From time to time she hires herself out as a guide, guard or just hunter to those who aren't afraid of what she is. She has been known to also help those in need or who are lost. Fiaria still remains a mysterious and curious creature that some find hard to pin down on where she really stands.

Extras Sometimes questions whether or not the path she has chosen for herself is the right one. Nothing she does will change the fact that deep down she's just a cold blooded murder like the human's who destroyed her village.

Build She isn't the petite skinny little girl that most people would think. Many do not believe that she weighs as much as she does for the fact that she has that hour glass figure that most would kill for. Curves all in the right place, she has enough muscles that she can defend her self but not so much that if she had a man it would intimidate him. She considers herself chunky, she knows she could slim down and be lean and muscular, but she rather be slightly chunky. Her lips were plump, not to big for her face, they were considered bow shape. Her nose can be described as a button nose, it is slightly turned up at the tip. Her eyes are almond shape with the outer corners turned up slightly making it almost appear as if she has more of a cat eye shape then an almond one. Her face is slightly heart shaped, making her facial features seem soft.

The last one is on her opposite arm that goes at an angle at the bend down towards the opposite side to her wrist which she got from a nail when she had been exploring.

Personality Rayne tends to be rather kind and understanding when she talks to people. She tries to treat them all the same though she doesn't always do so. She can be emotional sometimes even jump to some conclusions about things. She can also be sly, and down right vicious. Many say that she has two sides to her. The one with the constant smiling face that accompanies the kind, gentle, patient, understanding side of her, that seems to be most associated with that of a mother. Though the other side of her can be sly, vindictive, even manipulative but that side is rarely seen or known about, only a select few have seen the side that she hides from the world.

Motivation What more motivation does she need other then to see how things play out?

She enjoys wasting her time away be it cooking for various people or reading or drawing during the day. Occasionally you could catch her singing.

Dislikes She dislikes being touched. Touching her will cause you more then likely to either lose a finger or get the finger broken. She also dislikes not having any food in her home.

Strengths
  • Keeps secrets rather well, considering she knows things about people that they don't even want others to know about.
  • Is quick on her feet and with her mind in situations.
  • Is easily protects her friends even if they do not need it, being that she can see the future, she tries to save them from their fate in her visions when it it involves them even though she just makes it worse.

  • Can be quick to upset which is not something you want to do unless you want you secrets let out.
  • She can't always control when she can see the future or the past and when she does it tends to leave her a bit paralyzed for a few minutes where she won't be able to see anything right in front of her.

SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals Rayne believes the all religions worship one god/goddess. That all the gods and goddesses they pray to are all one and the same. That the only depict the god/goddess as a different one, with a different name but all in all it is just the same one over and over. For she calls her god/goddess Nyx and prays to her often. She does not fault anyone for their religion as she believes they are all the same. As for her morals, she knows right from wrong but she also knows that either side can be in the wrong and the one that is in the right can need a little push in the proper direction.
Virtues Kindness & Patience - She is patient for the fact that being who she is she needs to be able to wait for them to come out with telling her what they need or want from her. She is kind as it tends to get people to talk to her and willingly open up so that they will tell her things that they would never tell anyone else.

ATTIRE



Head/Neck She wears feathers in her hair, they are layered in them, short to long and scatter about but they are not so much that they over power her hair or her facial features. It adds to her appearance, making her seem some how more erotic and wild. Sometimes she wears a corset or a corset like jacket that has a hood attached to it.
Chest/Back Occasionally you can spot her wearing armor, though the armor various depending on the type of battle that she is going to fight. Though most of the time you can catch her always wearing some form of a corset, she also some chains that she rarely takes off. When she is called to the palace you can find her wearing a dress. She normally wears either a white chemise shirt or a black chemise shirt one under the corsets as not to upset some people with her lack of clothes. She likes the corsets that are normally worn with dresses for the fact that each one is unique and tend to be more detailed then the dress it self. They are one of the few items that she can't really seem to live without since they help people remember her a bit more, well besides her armor. She mainly only wears one that has leather feathers. You could almost say that she has a thing for corsets.
Arms/Legs Though her gauntlets are similar. She can be seen wearing a skirt some times. Though she mainly wears leather pants with her outfits more then the skirt which she only wears with one corset. You can often find her wearing knee high boots. Though some times she wears some boots that are more around her ankles then her knees. You can also find her signature belt around her waist along with another that is a bag that hangs at a slight angle and sits on her thigh.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Bow and Arrows This weapon allows her to stay a safe distance away from the battle but still be able to hit targets if she needs too. It also allows her to hunt with no issues of scaring her prey away though she has to be careful after all she does not want to offend her friends.
Daggers She has several of them hidden on her person, seeing as you can always end up losing one when forced into close combat, also hand for other things.
Magic Clairvoyance: can be divided into two sections retrocognition and precognition. Retrocognition is knowledge of a past event which can not have been learned or inferred by normal means. Precognition is knowledge of a future event that has yet to happen which can not have been learned or inferred by normal means. Divination is the art of using objects, dead animals, or the stars to make predictions of the future.

Ranged [Above Average] -- She is fairly good with a bow since she hunts for her meat, she can also throw her daggers when she runs out of arrows if she needs to but she does not always hit her target.
Magic [Above Average] -- seeing as her gift is magic, it is more to supply the answer that most seek rather then to fight with though it can help her to stay at least one step a head of her enemy though not all the time.
Mounted [No Skill] -- Seeing as she has never been on a horse in her life, she never had to fight from horse back or ride one.

History Rayne hails from the kingdom of Neive, though not much is known of it except for what was said about it from her mouth. Being a seer is not a cake walk as most people would think it is for the fact that she has always been able to see things that others have not. Her gifts were never looked upon with favor, in fact she caught hell be cause of it for the first portion of her life. The thing that has always stuck with her is the fact that her family had always feared her to the point that when she was just a tot they left her on the steps of a temple to be finally rid of the cursed child that they could not seem to be able to lie to no matter how hard they tried. As she grew up in the temple she learned to keep her visions to her self as others did not understand. Other then the fact that the elders would whip her and lock her up in a chamber for a few nights before she was able to be free once more. They taught her that her gift was a curse and should be treated as such no matter how much she believe the Goddess had given her this gift for a reason.

One day when she was just 9 she had a vision of the king being in danger. She had gone to anyone who would listen in the palace to tell them but none believed her until the day that her vision came true. They blamed her for it, saying that she was the reason for the King being poisoned, that she had planned it from the start. She did not understand that they saw it as her trying to get a reward for saving the king and when not being believed or rewarded that she had poisoned him. This brought tears to her eyes as they literally hunted her down, wanting her head on a pike for all to see what happens to a conniving traitor.

When she learned they were coming for her head, she ran. While running she headed into the forest, getting lost among the trees before she was found by twin centaurs. Never having come across such people before, she was frighten of them, shaking where she stood as she was frozen to the spot. It was not until they touched her that she realized their intentions which quickly put her at ease. She willing went with them, softly explaining to them why she was in the forest to begin with and why she had gotten lost.

She did not expect to be welcomed into their home with open arms and it ws not long before they discovered her gift which she had tried to hide as she feared they would want her head like her home kingdom had. Soon she learned that they embraced it which made her embrace it, she learned many of her fighting skills from them but others that she had learned well she learned that from a different man.

A shape shifter, she vaguely remembered meeting him the first couple of times but this last time, well he left a lasting impression on her. Her centaur friends did not like him to well but still she considered him a friend even if he never really showed his true self to her and only visited when he felt like it. As she became and adult she left the centaurs to live on her own in a house that they helped her to build with the forest to one side and the mountains to the other that way she could be near her friends but have some privacy.

Body markings His entire body from his collar bone down is coated in dark blue runes. The runes twist and stretch down to his fingernails and toenails, where they end at a point. These runes are the only things on his body he cannot change or remove no matter what form he takes. Because of this, he often covers up most of his body with clothing to hide them; though sometimes he goes without gloves, allowing the runes on his hands to be visible. They do not glow unless touched directly, in which they glow only where they had been pressed.
Scars Kirnathous possesses no actual scars that he cannot simply "change out of."



MENTAL & EMOTIONAL



PersonalityA blue enigma. Kirnathous is a calm, inquisitive young man who is by nature very distance and secretive; especially when it comes to the two rivaling kingdoms. He doesn't boast often, if ever, who he is or the magic he possesses; and usually keeps his spell casting and magic flinging to a minimum when in the presence of humans. Or. At least he tries.

In reality, Kirnathous is not what most people would probably expect from a mysterious, magical shapeshifter. For despite is cool exterior that makes him appear as a mysterious and cunning intellect; Kirnathous is actually clumsy, quick to panic, socially awkward, easily flustered and is extremely bad at lying. He has a deep obsession and love for knowledge, books and all things related to magic. More often than not he will have his nose stuffed in a book, paying little to no attention at all to the world around him and thus never drawing too much attention to himself. This is usually what causes him to trip, stumble or fall over everything and anything. Even his own feet. As he is not the most coordinated or graceful person in the land, and walking while reading could be considered one of his greatest weaknesses. In fact, books in general could be considered his weakness; as he will forget to eat and sleep if he manages to get a new book in his possession. He is a massive bookworm and because of this he possesses an immense knowledge of the world; knowledge he is always happy to share with anyone so long as they prove themselves worthy of it... Or if they just ask him. Because he loves to talk about history and books to the point of probably becoming a bit obnoxious about it. He can go off on tangents that will last for hours if people are not careful.

Though he does his absolute best to keep his magic and true identity hidden from others; he has extreme difficulties doing so. He enjoys showing off his power just for the sake of the attention and adoring fans he wished he had. However, his fear of being found out keeps him from blasting spells of the arcane high into the sky. He dislikes violence and fighting of all sorts; and would heavily prefer to simply talk about issues rather than slug them out. This dislike of bloodshed resulted in Kirnathous hiding his true self away from the rivaling kingdoms and the rest of the world; as he never wants to use his magic to harm other living creatures. This does not mean that Kirnathous will not fight all together; for if there is one thing he hates more than violence it is injustice and bullies. In which he will not hesitate to attack if it means protecting an innocent life. Kirnathous is very sympathetic and kind to all people no matter who or what they are; unless they force his hand by attacking an innocent; in which he will become a flurry of nearly untamable arcane rage.

Mortal Alignment Neutral Good. Kirnathous believes in helping any and all people who are on the side of good.

Motivation Kirnathous' entire reason for doing all he does is because it is the will of the High Goddess; or so he will often claim. Whatever it is exactly the High Goddess wants him to do is unclear to pretty much everyone, probably even to Kirnathous too. He lives completely by faith and not once does he question any misfortune or bad luck that may cross his path; as he believes that every trial is faces is simply a stepping stone for what is to come.

Fear(s) Kirnathous fears being pulled into war or having his magic be used for evil deeds. He doesn't want to harm any innocent person or creature. He also has an immense fear of failing to live up to the expectation of being a great and powerful shapeshifting magical being; even though the entire world has no idea he is this great and powerful shapeshifting magical being. He still wishes to live up to expectations though! Even though no one has any expectations of him! He also has horrible arachnophobia.

Likes Books, magic, knowledge, exploration and adventure, books, seeing new things, learning about new things, learning in general, books, creating potions, listening to bards or any type of music, books, books and more books.

Dislikes Violence, war, bloodshed, bullies and just rude people or fighting in general. Being made fun of or people poking fun at him. He also dislikes people touching his personal belongings without asking or moving his stuff without him knowing. Spiders.

Strengths
  • Knowledge. Kirnathous has been around for a very, very long time, and has spent all those years reading and learning about the world that surrounds him. He knows all there is to know about everything and anything; even the useless tidbits of information no one cares about. He is a living encyclopedia.
  • Blending in. Because of his ability to change his appearance, Kirn can pretty much don an entirely new lifestyle and personality in a matter of moments, making it seem as though his previous character had just up and disappeared without a trace. He is skilled in not bringing too much attention to himself, weaving in and out of crowds with great ease. The only downside is that his clumsiness remains; so if one were really looking for him, all you'd have to look for is the person or creature occasionally fumbling over things.
  • Alchemy. If you've got an illness, want a different hair color or wish to turn into a tiny mouse for whatever reason, he's got a potion for it all. Kirnathous practices alchemy on a daily basis, to the point where it's like knitting for him. However, even though he does make potions often, he does forget to properly label them; so you could end up with a potion of poison than a potion of healing. The potions also have a habit of blowing up, as he sometimes forgets how to properly mix ingredients.
Weaknesses
  • Clumsiness. Kirnathous lacks in all form of grace and elegance and is probably only well known for his special talent of tripping over himself. Or objects. Or other people. Or the air. Kirn more than likely spends 50% of his day fumbling over things.
  • Tunnel vision. When he has a new book in his hand, spots something new or he is asked a question, Kirnathous will pretty much forget the world around him to focus on said book, object or topic. And this focus will last hours if not stopped, because he has no idea how to stop himself and requires outside aid.
  • Zero charisma. Kirn is bad at being charming, lying and pretty much everything that doesn't have to do with rambling endlessly about history or magic. Don't sign him up for anything that requires a smooth talking silver-tongue, even if he offers, otherwise he's likely to hurt himself somehow.



SPIRITUAL



Faith & Morals Kirnathous is extremely devoted to the High Goddess and every action he takes is because of her. His faith is solid and cannot be broken or wavered by any means. She also serves as his moral compass, guiding him down a path of peace, good and kindness; or down a path of violence and rage. Whatever she commands of him will result in his actions. Basically, he lives and acts on behalf of the goddess; her morals are his morals. It is as simple as that.
Virtues Diligence; he works hard, doing all the good he can in the name of the goddess. Kindness; for he believes true peace can only be achieved through loyalty and compassion. Patience; all good things come to those who wait, rushing toward the finish line will only cause pain and suffering for all those around you.
Sins Pride; he loves how much knowledge he possesses and how powerful his magic can be, to the point of flaunting it at any given chance he has. Lust; in the sense of pursuing further knowledge, he desires to know everything.

Head/Neck He rarely wears anything on his head, save for a pair of glasses, and his neck is usually covered up by some sort of high collared coat or robe.
Chest/Back Along with the typical undershirt; Kirn dresses different types of long coats or robes various with trinkets, trimming and cravats. Most of them come in deep shades of blue with black or white accented pieces.
Arms/Legs Like his outfit, the pieces he wears on his arms and legs varies. More often than not he's wearing long pants which tuck into black leather boots and his arms are usually clear of most items; save for the easy slip-on white gloves he may occasionally wear.



WEAPONRY & EQUIPMENT



Weapon 1 A one handed, plain gold hilted sword. This blade almost never sees any use and is nearly always sheathed away at his side. The only time the weapon is drawn is when Kirn hand has been forced.
Weapon 2 Magic. Kirnathous is skilled in pretty much every field of magic a mage has access to; and even has some amounts of healing magic, though the spells of healing aren't very powerful. His favorite magic type would be spells that fall under the arcane category.
Weapon 3 Shapeshifting. Just as the name would suggest, Kirnathous can take on any shape or form he wishes, and can learn to take on other forms as well. However, in order to steal a face, Kirnathous has to touch another person or creature with his bare fingertips, like a simple pass-by poke would be enough to give him the ability to change his appearance. He cannot simply replicate an object by looking at it. This ability also permits him to gain the memories of the things he touches should they be sentient enough to have them.

Hand-to-hand [Terrible] -- He tried to fight hand-to-hand once; it resulted in him tripping over himself and accidentally gaining a face and a bunch of memories of a drunken bandit. It was not a pleasant experience, especially since the face he stole was less than pretty. He decided it was probably best to avoid fighting hand-to-hand, as he was far too clumsy to really do any damage.
Melee [Average] -- Kirnathous is skilled in staves and sword fighting; knowing well how to handle them. But because he does not use these items often unless required, his skills are often left to rust. So he can hold his own in a sword fight. And surprisingly, even with his clumsy nature, he seems to be a bit graceful when wielding a sword. But only a bit.
Ranged [No skill] -- Despite how many memories he has taken and how long he's lived; he's never picked up a bow before, or any form of ranged weapon.
Magic [Perfect] -- Kirnathous has had years to practice his magic; so he knows pretty much all types of spells; destruction, arcane, shapeshifting, illusion and so on. The only magic he does not, and out-right refuses, to dabble in is dark magic and necromancy.
Mounted [Terrible] -- He tried to get on a horse once. It bucked him off and proceeded to chase him. Since then he just avoids riding horses.

History The Mystic Shapeshifter who can live forever sounds like a glamorous lifestyle; but in reality, it is just as much of a curse as it is a privilege. Kirn has been alive for so long and has worn so many different faces that he's completely forgotten his own past and where he came from. Sometimes he believes he remembers something about himself, but almost immediately begins to question it; as he is never sure if it's his memory he is recalling or the memory he has taken from someone else.

The earliest memory Kirnathous can recall, and the only memory he knows is his own, is being chosen by the High Goddess to carry out an extremely important mission. Upon reaching the age of twenty-one, he was summoned to a secluded place by the goddess; there he swore his ever-dying loyalty and allegiance to the High Goddess and, in return, she bestowed upon him immortality and powerful copying magic. The magic came in the form of the runes that cover his body. Though it was a painful process to have the runes etched into his flesh, they provided him the power to snatch faces as well as the ability to live forever. Before and after this moment in his life remains a whirlpool of too many different memories that he cannot decipher. And the more faces he steals, the more of himself he loses.

He has "lived" many different lives; most notably, he had taken over the duties as Mage of the Mountain for a time, after the previous mage passed on. Kirn had lived with the mage, who went by the name Lakar, for a few months before Lakar's old age caught up with him. On his death bed, Lakar requested that Kirn take his face and memories in order to preserve and remember the mage no one else knew, as Lakar wanted to be remembered by at least one person. To fulfill this wish, Kirnathous had taken up the responsibility of being the Mage of the Mountain, but knew this job would not last, as the goddess would inevitably demand he be else where. To ensure there would be another mage, and that Lakar would be remembered always as Kirn would eventually lose Lakar in the chaos of his memories, Kirnathous took on an apprentice who called himself Hemset. After teaching the boy all he was willing to teach; Kirnathous faked his own death, leaving Hemset to take over the job of being Mage of the Mountain as well as giving Lakar his dying wish: Someone to remember him.

Hemset was not the only life Kirn had affected in some way; he had also aided the Seeress Rayne and had unknowingly left an impression upon her. Under the guise of different people, Kirn for some reason seemed to bump into the priestess at random points in her life. The first time, he had seen the young girl fleeing for her life; and anyone trailing after her soon met with a blast of magic to the face. The second time, Kirn had come across her training with centaurs and offered to help her train her magic; but the centaurs did not seem too comfortable with his presence, so he kindly left out of respect for the creatures. The final time, Kirn had been spotted by her as he used his powers to take the face and memories of a centaur who was on the verge of death after a night against an Anthro Hunter. He took on the centaur's form for only a moment before shifting back to his current, blue self. He told the centaur she would not be forgotten and would live forever with the goddess' love and blessings before she passed. Kirn gave the centaur a proper burial before disappearing into the forest he never seemed to leave; seemingly unaware of Rayne's presence.

And finally; his most recent deed of helping others was the one thing that put our story in motion. Under the strong belief that the princess of Rashmaal would be the key to ending the war between the two kingdoms, as her assuming the throne would more than likely bring peace to the land, Kirnathous came across the young, five year old princess wandering alone in the woods. Kirnathous used his powerful magic upon her and this resulted in the princess becoming a full-grown woman... But with the mind of a 5 year old. Kirnathous, unaware that he had not given her the mind of an adult, attempted to explain to the princess the price that came with his generosity; and that she was to take over her father's throne in order to end the war. However, because he went off on one of his usual rambles, and was thus not paying any attention to his surroundings, the princess of Rashmaal slipped away, leaving Kirnathous to ramble on alone until he realized a moment too late that the princess had disappeared. Kirnathous now the searches for the adult-child princess he accidentally set loose on the world, hoping to correct this error, save the princess and the kingdoms from certain doom.



OTHER



Extras Kirnathous wears glasses, but doesn't have any problems with his eyes! He mostly wears them because he feels they make him look sophisticated and smart.

Kirnathous also seems to have some sort of attachment to the forest, as he is nearly always seen or found lurking within its depths for reasons unknown...

Hemset and Hannibal. Seven years ago, Hemset lost his brother to a fire, or so he believed. Four years ago, Hannibal lost his homeland to a blazing fire. What the two don't know is that Nibaru unites them. The first of the Nibaru fires started 7-years ago. The last of the fires happened 4-years ago. During that time, Hemset's brother did escape and he was found by Arthur Nancarrow, Hannibal's father. Keeping the boy a secret when he finally reunited with his son, Arthur learned the truth of Hannibal and decided he would raise Hemset's brother as if he were his own. When Arthur faced his near-death experience, Hemset's brother came to Arthur's aid where his true son, Hannibal, failed.
Fiaria and Ara'mis are actually distant cousins.
