You'd think a deodorant/body wash would allow you to smell good and therefore you'd want to leave your home, not worried about BO. But Old Spice is TOO potent. Made me laugh SO hard.

I'm a feminist. I feel girls should feel empowered, should strive for anything they put their minds to... but a TAMPON company telling me that girls need to feel empowered by their emojis because girls love emojis just feels like a bit much...

Clair Voyant -- hmmm that was an interesting experience. So when I read your comment, I was thinking "whaatt what do emojis have to do with empowerment?"

But then I watched the video. And I think I understand what they mean? I'm not familiar with the emoji system they're using, but I'm guessing it's a comment on how gender roles and stereotypes are depicted in emoji form.

Again, I don't know what emojis are actually in this emoji set. But if it's true that all the athlete emojis are male, then it makes sense that they would comment on wanting female athlete emojis.

It's just like how people wanted Lego to make female chemists, paleontologists, et cetera for their career-related Lego sets, instead of only depicting male Lego people in those professions.

I would say most people haven't heard of Melanie Martinez since she's not a mainstream artist. I was actually introduced to this singer by someone here on Menewsha about a year ago! ^_^ I only knew her songs "Dollhouse," "Bittersweet Tragedy," and "Carousel" and hadn't heard of this one that you just posted, "Pity Party," but I will give it a listen later ^_^

So far, Pity Party is the one I like most.

I still haven't given that song a listen yet! Maybe after dinner I can settle down and find my headphones somewhere

I finally got a chance to listen and watch the music video. Wow, her videos always have a dark component to them. I admire her ability to conceive songs and videos like this.

I don't celebrate Easter, myself, but I am looking forward to the days off work! :D
I'm also pretty excited for Passover. I don't consider myself Jewish, but every spring my parents and I will clean the kitchen, we used to do it to make the kitchen kosher, but now we just clean it for the hell of it.
