Do they really understand us?
What its like to get up and face the world today
We all have to dress a curtain way
Make ourselves act like good little boys and girls
Keep our heads down and never stray from the path they have planned
Our lives are all the same and they call that perfection
I cant go along every day watching the same things take place
A toe out of line
A hair miss placed
The changes are small but slowly im breaking down the walls of perfection
I hold my head high
Way above the line
I stray from that perfect path
And find the one rocky and full of bumps
I wanna learn things for myself
I wanna know what its like to fall in and out of love
I wanna know the pain that comes with living
I’m sick of this perfect world
I’m down being who they want me to be
The changes maybe small but I’m slowly breaking down the walls of perfection
Now that time has pasted
Each change you can see
My hair is black
Dancing all over the place
My outfits scream that I’m different
My path is long and rocky
Full of things to come
Not all ways so safe
It took a long time
But the wall of perfection litter the path of the past.

I really like this poem, honestly it sends shivers down my spine. I think we all feel this way at one time or another in our lives. Especially during our teens when parents, teachers, etc are trying to tell you what or who to be.

I enjoy the imagery portrayed in this piece of a wall of perfection holding us back and at the end of the poem of it littering the ground behind us as we walk on our heads held high. Wonderful job, my friend.
