That volcano has been erupting for 40 odd years at this point. It's just now it's doing the crazy random vents all over right near communities.
Doing ok. Just looking forward to a mellow weekend!!
Right?? Isn't it always worse being back after a nice vacation?

Steel drums and magnificent. So many little depressions and so many different tones from them. Also add in a bamboo xylophone or something and then all you need is a singing crab xD

It's been a while since I've seen a live play! Last year I was gifted tickets to The King and I and it was so good. This October my friend is bringing me to see Les Mis for the thousandth time.

I loooove me some Les Mis. <3 This'll be my 5th time seeing it live!
Yes! He was so charming. The guy who played the king in the version I saw was too. Really charming. But then I was there for Anna. She was played by one of my big broadway girls that I've been DYING to see, Laura Michelle Kelly <3 <3 aka Broadway's original Mary Poppins. I love her from the Lord of the Rings musical where she played Galadriel. Her singing voice is wonderful.

It was a bad idea. hahaha. They really shouldn't have squished 3 books into one play. BUT the music is amazing. And visually it's stunning. But it was a flop. I love love love the music though.

Oh they did all three books in one play? Yikes that sounds like an awful lot. I bet things were cut left and right. I have to go charge the battery and then click the link to listen to the music, thanks

It stinks when a lot of cuts are made. Sometimes I feel like important bits get cut out and I wonder how the audience makes heads or tales of what is going on

I think because most people already know the story they fill in the cut part with their knowledge

Yeah if they do know. When I saw Harry Potter... I didn't even watch all the movies because they cut out things I thought were pretty darn vital and revelatory (I'm making this a word if it isn't) to the plot line. So many people I was friends with NEVER read the books but loved the movies. I would have been lost had I not read the books... then again... I may just need a bit more than others who knows xD

I never finished reading Harry Potter and I actually watched more of the movies, though I still didn't watch the last of that either. I mean, from what I remember of the books, I thought the movies were pretty close.
