Smiling Jack helped him and patted the others thigh. "Let's see what you can hm?" he said and looked at him smiling.

He knew the other could ride, he could tell from the way he acted.

A grin appeared on his face as he set his heels into the horse's side sending Goliath first at a slow walk and once again to get him into a trot. He sat the horse easily and it almost seem that he moved with the horse rather than just sittin on him. The feeling of the strong horse between his legs was wonderful, he could almost feel the strong muscles moving as the horse did as he commanded.

Wheeling him around he kicked the horse into an easy smooth gallop, that one would have thought would knock a boy his size off as he got closer to Jack once more he slowed Goliath down and with a last "woah boy" he stopped where he had began with an ecstatic grin.

Leaning forwards he patted Goliath's neck murmuring praises to the beatiful beast.

Jack had smiled. Goliath was normally a horse who picked it's rider, and Julias had won the horses trust.

When the horse stopped infront of him he gently kissed the animals head and ruffled its manes.
"Good boy..." he whispered. Then he looked at Julias. "You're a good rider, Goliath allowed to ride you, so you're good and kind." he said and smiled.

"I'm glad."

Julias smiled bowing his head and patting Goliath once more.

"I've always hated people who drive their horses too hard and believe pain is the way to get the horse to do co-operate..." Julias confessed his smile losing its brilliance. "You wouldn't imagine the abuse I was forced to watch from the lords... unable to speak up I couldn't turn a blind eye to it either.."

"You're a good horseman." he smiled. "I hate it that people see the horse as a thing and not a tool to make things easier." he said and then nuzzled him gently. "You're sweet." Jack looked at the other and smiled widely.

Julias swung his leg over so both legs were on one side and slid down to the ground with ease and a hand kept on Goliath's flank to keep him steady as he landed.

"Thanks .. I guess.." Julias murmured with a smile smile and blush. "You're sweet as well.. you're the only one who treats me as a normal person and you know who I truly am."

Blushing at the statement of being sweet he modest turned away and waved a little. "Hey, what else am I supposed to do?" he said and slightly looked away from the other.

The horse gently poked it's owner with the large nose. "alright, let's feed you, hm?" he said as he got over the fence again. He walked to a shed and got a bucket full of food for the large animal.
"Hey Julias, can you fill the tub with water please?" he asked the other.

Julias smirked a little while Jack was being modest, he had been telling the truth though.. not many would treat him normally. Some might even report to the city guard that he was out without any of the palace guards to escort him. That was annoying in itself because he'd get an earful from his father about how only bad people were out there wanting to kidnap him and get a gold ransome or make him their slave.

Julias was weary of only the last fact, which was why he did his best to hide his identity but his father was wrong that everyone outside of nobility was bad. Jack was a good example of this so far and somehow Julias trusted that nothing bad would happen to him while Jack was around.

Julias looked a bit dumbfounded when Jack asked him to fill the tub with water. Needless to say he hadn't quite done his own work at all and never had the real chance to till now. Looking around he found the well realizing he must get the water and so pulled the rope to get the water bucket that was full of water up the well and though he was muscular the muscles weren't as much for strength as they were for agility though he managed to get the pail and carried it to the tub and began to fill it with water.

By the time he was finished though his arms felt like noodles and he sat on the ground by the fence to catch his breath as Goliath drank his fill contentedly without realizing what a laborous task it was for the prince.

Jack laughed as the boy filled the tub. When he sat down to rest Jack got to it. "Well done!" he smiled and then patted his shoulder.

"Get up, you deserve something to drink and something to eat." he smiled and held out his dirty but big and trusty hand.
His smile sweet as ever.

He knew they probably get in a small fight, and Jack knew he had to fight for two.

Julias reached up and grabbed his new friend's hand a weak smile on his lips. He was truly exhausted, he hadn't realized water could be so heavy ... especially MANY buckets full of it.. He was both thirsty and hungry but it only reminded him of how long he was out of the castle for.

"I actually have to go..." Julias said blinking a bit as he tried to figure out how long ago he had left. "They'll notice if I'm missing for too long and I lost track of time.. I need to get back before they send the palace guard out searching for me.."

Julias looked slightly panicked, he knew that it would be the case if he was found missing from the castle. He didn't want to imagine what would happen afterwards when the word was sent to the King... he'd definitely wouldn't have access to the side passageways anymore and then he'd truly be locked away from the society he'd have preferred to be born into.

"I'm sorry.."

Jack looked at him and then smiled. "Alright...No problem." he smiled Then he got to a bag that was hung around a post and took something out of it. "Here, something to eat and drink while you get back to the castle." he smiled.

"It's my lunch actually, but you can have it." he smiled. When the other apologized he shook his head and patted his shoulder. "Just let me buy you something next time you're here. Okay?" he asked.

Julias smiled as he took the offered food with a small thanks a small blush creeping to his cheeks. He did appreciate it though and he was hungry, now that he actually thought of food and his stomach gave testimony to this as he looked at the food.

"You don't have to buy me anything though," Julias replied to the last comment. "It's good enough to just have someone outside the castle walls to talk with and do what I normally can't do inside."

Jack just smiled back and gave a nod. "I hear you're hungry." he smiled and looked at the other.


I'd love to treat you one day." He said patted the others shoulder. "It's my pleasure to let you do normal things. Besides, I think it's good to have a friend like you." he said before he gently smiled at him. "Come let me take you to the castle."

"Alright.." Julias smiled back and walked in the direction of the castle and beginning to eat in small bites. A form of habit, you had to look pretty while eating you know, especially when eating in front of the mass of people who aren't your immediate family.

As they walked in silence for a bit he thought of what Jack had said previously a knot tying in his stomach. "Don't take this as rude but... Why are you being kind to me like this? Think I'd be a good friend to have? Because of my.. status?"

It was a common worry of Julias' sometimes, he had many aiming to be his friend so they could say they're friends with the Crown Prince, heir to the throne. Some believed he'd buy them many things because his father was rich and king, they just.. .didn't understand. He disliked being used because of his status, not that he liked being used at all anyways.

Jack 'stole' a piece of bread f rom the other and munched on it. When the other asked that question he shook his head.
"I just like you, you're not what I thought a prince would be. You are you." he said somewhat vaguely.

The blond looked at the smaller male and blushed some. "And I guess I like you quite a bit. You're a gorgeous man." he said gently putting a strand of Julias' hair back behind his ear.

A deep blush crossed Julias' cheeks when Jack complimented him and his eyes darted toward Jack meeting his eyes and quickly darted away. It was surprising how at home Julias felt with the older man that he hadn't even known for a full day yet, but he felt more comfortable with him than he's ever been with those he's used to being around. He could be more real without feeling as if others were judging him. Even that incessent Princess who he was betrothed to... the thought of spending the day with her as he had done with Jack made his skin crawl, he had to do what was right for the Kingdom but he certainly didn't enjoy it.

"I suppose that makes sense though..." Julias said skipping to what Jack had said first. "I'm not the Prince my parents want me to be.. dutiful, well groomed... I just want to live a normal life without having to worry about the decisions I make might mean war for the country..."

jack smiled some at Julius and patted his shoulder. the other had been so nice to him, without hitting on him immediately.
The prince was so different then he had imagined, he was actually nice and tired to work hard.

The man smiled at the prince. "well...if you can sneak out, you can stay at my place for a while. Work some, get some muscles under your skin." he said as he showed off his strong arms.

Julias smiled at Jack, his hazel eyes bright and happy now that he had someone to actually talk to outside the Castle walls. He disliked the place so much, it was more like a prison than anyone could imagine.

"I could only sneak out hours at a time without anyone questioning where I am," Julias explained with a small shrug. "It's what I have to live with unfortunately. It at least gives me a reason to avoid the one I'm betrothed to."

Jack smiled at the hazel eyes that were so happy. The young one infront of him seemed so cute that way. Jack found himself blushing and looked away.

Then he looked at him and stroked his hair back. "Well...if you can make me one of the stable boys in the castle, we can meet up everyday." he said and looked at him. "Maybe I can put some flesh to your bones." he grinned, all meant well.

Julias watched Jack curiously for a moment and blushed when Jack brushed his hair from his face and smiled while looking down.

"I'll see what I could do to get you as my personal stable hand, my parents have been pressing me to get one annoyed that I enjoy doing the work myself," Julias said with a smile. If he could bring up getting a stable hand as long as he chose who he wanted he wouldn't have any trouble getting Jack in, as long as it was agreed upon.

Jack smiled and looked at him "When can you get me in?" he asked him.

He tilted his head and smiled at him. "I'd love to be around you..." he blushed

Julias blushed more at Jack's comment and bit his lip before he replied to it first. "I'd love to be around you as well..."

Hazel eyes darted up to meet Jack's before looking away quickly biting his lip again, thinking. "Probably in the next day or so... depends when I see my father or whoever will bring the idea forth to him if I can't see him."

In truth he could go days without seeing either of his parents, it was the life you lived when you turned out to be a son to the most important people in the realm. It was a sad truth in the end but one got used to it, got used to being parented by servants rather than true parents..

Then he got an idea. "Hey, you think I can sneak in?" he asked him as he took his hand.
"I want to see you...I mean, you're the first one that doesn't make fun of my sexuality...Probably because you don't fell in love yet...." he whispered sofltly

Julias shrugged a bit with a small smile, thinking about the first question as he replied to the second comment. "I don't see the point of making fun of others or questioning what makes others happy... You're still you no matter who you like to take to your bed."

A small blush crept to his cheek as he said the last part, it wasn't how he had meant it to come out but it was certainly what he had meant.

He wasn't sure how'd he'd manage sneaking Jack in but he was perfectly willing to try. He would probably be merely studying one thing or another, he didn't see the problem with bringing Jack along.

"I could probably manage it, will give being in the castle a more interesting appeal anyways."

the blond blushed deeply at the others comment and looked away to hide it, but his ears were bright red as well.
"It's true though..." he whispered and looked at the other slyly a bit.

Embarrassed he looked at the other before he rubbed the back of his own neck.

"Thanks." he smiled and looked at him with a friendly smile
