Welcome to the Pine Forest Log Cabin!

During Halloween, on our hunt for Cecilia, we discovered a log cabin in the woods that has been long abandoned. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and tons of rustic charm. Now that the place has been discovered we wanted to clean it up and turn it into an awesome hangout.

Come on in. Lounge in the vaulted ceiling living room and use the fireplace to warm yourself as the nights get cooler. Play some card games on the covered porch, or enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal from the kitchen. Lounge in the chairs and read a good book, or even just take a nice long nap. There are endless possibilities when you're taking a break from the world and just enjoying yourself in nature.

Whatever you decide to do; come hang out with us in the Log Cabin while we take a break before Festival Of Winter Nights. When are festivities begin again to celebrate the winter nights we will give away the gold that the log cabin has earned to the top poster in our new hangout!

Happy posting!

*lays on grass and stares at sky* Sounds good to me. I need a break from technology sometimes. Anyone got some book suggestions? I'm almost done with the ones i've got out from the library right now. :x

*sits in the cabin room and reads*
It's so nice to have a fresh new cabin to chill out in. :)
I hate ending my sentences with prepositions. But sometimes it just can't be helped.

I just finished reading Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms"
It was really good!

I've never read much of Hemingway's stuff, so I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it.

i've never been able to get into Hemmingway's books. maybe that's because of the books they selected for school though... i don't think that a farewell to arms was one...hmmm now i'm not sure. I know the title though! :D

I never read any of Hemingway's stuff in school, I don't think.
But I have always loved the classics in literature, so when I got the opportunity to read it, I thought, "Well, I've never read anything else by Hemingway... Why not?!" :D

Yknow, I think its cool that we have a new hangout thread for everyone, I just think...well, Log Cabin can be a little political right now. xD;
At least every time I see this thread's title I think of the Log Cabin Republicans.

I didn't know there was such a thing XD Rest assured though, there is no political affiliation to this hangout!

I've kinda always wanted to live in a log cabin though XD About 10 miles up the road from me is a huge lot where they take pine trees and build huge made to order log cabins, disassemble them and then ship them off to wherever they are going and then reassemble them. It's always fun to drive by if the cranes are going! :P

political and log cabin ... Lincoln? that's all i've got as a guess.

This log cabin is just the one from the Halloween event turned into something more fun ^-^

Carn that sounds so cool!!! I thought log cabin building was just kind of over and not a thing anymore. I've stayed in several log cabins before at camping retreat type places and i've always just assumed they've been around for 100+ years and got modernized to have electricity. xD

Oh....
I have to be completely honest with you, I forgot Google existed. xD

---------- Post added 12-04-2017 at 07:59 PM ----------

Upon Googling, "Log Cabin Republicans" are:

A group of republicans who support LGBT families and allies. :o

I did NOT know they existed!

hahahaha, i do that all the time, but i use the excuse of being lazy and not wanting to look it up myself as a perfectly legit reason to forget about it. Also because there's usually someone i can ask who already knows the answer without googling that I can trust to know. xD like a librarian ^^

Top poster gets goldies eh? I'm down. However, I'm curious. . .

There was another staff hangout cabiny kind of thing like this before. The person that got the gold wasn't around any more when they finally managed to get the gold out. :(

Will this hangout go on after the FoWN? And if so will it be a FoWN to FoWN thing?

I love cabins. :D
They are so cozy! It's especially nice that it finally snowed here, so now I can drink my tea and snuggle in a blanket!
