A lithe but not overly thin or feminine figure, he manages to look fit. He has the slightest tan and is of average height. Though he has a very distant Chinese ancestry, it doesn’t show distinctly in his face.
~hair- black and straight. The bangs fall into his eyes and the longest strands of it aren’t much longer than that. Just enough to cover his ears some.
~eyes- dark brown, almost black. Eyes are a little narrow, or rather, his eyes rarely widen and he’ll keep a half-lidded look about him. Eyelashes are prominent.
~clothes: Tends toward black and rich colors like blue, purple or red as accents. Would choose silver over gold in jewelry. His personal tastes tend to fall a little toward sexy and unique items. Enjoys accessories, but doesn’t put a lot of time into his appearance so doesn’t often wear them. He just likes how he looks in them. Since he’s usually warm, he shows skin often and would almost never wear a jacket or long sleeves.
Personality: He’s a man of few words. Intensely withdrawn, it’s almost impossible to learn a lot about him. But he’ll also socialize and share. It’s just that after so long spent with him, you realize you never learned anything important at all. He doesn’t seem like he cares for people much, but it’s just hard to totally capture his interest or awe him. If you do succeed though, you can expect loyalty even if you don’t see it, since his emotions tend not to show on his face. That doesn’t mean that he’s not occasionally ruled by strong ones though.

Occupation: Fashion designer, established within the community but not necessarily super well known, looking to broaden his horizons

His mark appears: On his right shoulder curving around towards his back
Appearance: Small (5’5”-5’6” ish) and somewhat mousy in appearance. He’s always been considered quite feminine. He’s got small rounded shoulders and skinny limbs, spending more time cutting and sewing fabric than even thinking of working out. He keeps his blondish brown straight hair long and it’s more often than not tied in a side ponytail that is messy after too many hours designing to just keep it out of the way. When he’s out and about to be seen, his outfits are meticulously put together and always his own designs. He's finicky about how he looks at those times, every little detail having to be perfect. When he’s been working on a design for over 48 hours, his clothing of choice is over big unbuttoned flannel button-ups over soft (and maybe holey) t-shirts and jeans. He also wears glasses some of the time, though again when trying to look good he definitely prefers contacts. He’s got light brown eyes that are somewhat larger than what you would expect for his face, especially since both his nose and mouth could be described as delicate.
Personality: Finicky. Perfectionist. Spaz. Are the three quickest words to describe Tristian. He’s very much concerned with things, whatever they may be (except the state of organization of his house and work space), being absolutely perfect. And if they aren’t, he’s not gonna hesitate to tell you. He tends to be very open with how he feels about everything, good and bad. Sometimes, he gets so worked up over things being absolutely perfect that he complete freaks out and can be sign acting manically as he tries to sort things back out. Pretty much all his fashion shows end up being at best organized chaos, much to his dismay (and to the detriment of his poor heart). He's also the type to let his work completely consume him given the chance, so he needs someone to pull him back every now and then and make sure he sleeps.

Ren watched the scurrying of models and designers with a bored eye. He sat on a stool, letting some woman abuse his hair which never looked much different with styling or not, always just a silky curtain of black sitting across his forehead, leaving the ears just visible. Yasu, the designer whose clothes he wore, currently screamed at one model and three stylists at the same time about different things, his strong features painted red. It didn't interest Ren though.

This would be his first fashion show and the mess of it all didn't break the calm of his face. He lifted his eyes slightly to look through his bangs at the mirror. His dark eyes seemed stuck in the sexy gaze so admired in a model. Honestly he didn't get the appeal of it though. He didn't find himself exceptionally beautiful, but he also found it easy to rely on his looks for work and did so for years. Though young and a new employee of Yasu, he did simple modeling work before, starting in high school. He'd pose for pictures, then stood outside designer stores in their merchandise. It was there that Yasu picked him up and imposed all of his never ending inspiration on Ren. He wondered why it never felt flattering.

The final call sounded, increasing the ruckus. "Models! Model's line up okay...what do you mean the skirt ripped!? This...okay," Yasu continued to yell, tossing people around like they were dolls. But then, weren't they? Ren found himself herded toward the runway's entrance as the previous designer finished their line and Yasu's turn approached. His clothes felt fluttery on him, like they weren't actually attached to his body. He just wanted this to be over with and it showed even when he stepped out under the glare of stage lights. Still, he put on his model face, assumed the learned walk, and made a show of it.

The lights left dazzles flying off the silver strands in his black jacket. The light fabric swayed with his step, sliding along the silky material of the top, also adorned with silver gems like the buckle of his belt. With the soft fluff around the collar though, the outfit gave off an overwhelming feeling of cute. Just cute and dazzling. Ren did his spin, boots silent on the slick floor before he disappeared from the stage lights once again.

Was this really that interesting?

Tristian sighed as he walked around and mingled with the varying designers, stylists, and celebrities at Yasu's show. As much as he could appreciate Yasu's designs and knew why he got so much attention, he couldn't stand the actual man. Tristian knew that what he did was just as good, if not better, and he treated his staff better, but popularity wasn't judged on how you were as a person, unfortunately. Tristian just hoped he'd hit his big break soon, smaller celebrities were starting to wear his designs, but he'd yet to really cross into anything major. Hopefully, it was just a matter of time.

He took a sip of wine and looked around the room, wondering if anyone was intrigued by the clothes that he was wearing. They were bit of a preview for his upcoming line. He was wearing a two-toned purple blazer over a white shirt that had a white see through lace pattern, exposing the skin underneath. His pants were dark purple acid-wash jeans with a pair of black boots on his feet. He also was wearing a pair of silver and gold hoop earrings. His long straight hair was pulled in a low, but tight, side ponytail hang over the front of his shoulder. He'd finish off the long with a bit of mascara and smudged eyeliner and the slightest touch of light pink lip gloss.

Finally, the show was announced to start and everyone settled in their seats, and Tristian turned his eyes to the walkway, partially eyeing the clothes and partially the models. It was one of the colder parts of the business, but often models were casted right under the nose of other designers, and Tristian was always keeping his eye out for new models, especially with the debut of his upcoming line just around the corner. Most of the models were run of the mill of what to expect at a Yasu show, he always seemed to go for a certain type, though one man did catch his attention and he definitely needed to find out more after the show. If nothing else, the body type was exactly the one he needed for his new show, though the model also had the right aura about him as well.

He spent rest of the show alternating enjoying the designs and being mildly horrified that anyone would dare to call that design fashion. Though he knew many people were scoping out just what pieces to buy by the time the evening was over. He wouldn't even dare touch a Yasu piece, but then it was rare for clothes that weren't sewn by his own hands to touch his skin. Finally though, it seemed the show was over and now was the time to go looking for the model he'd seen earlier.

After his runway walk, Ren kept his clothes on as most of the models did, continuing to advertise them after the show. So many people mingled in the glitzy building, voices raised and gay sounding among the camera flashes. Wine glasses clinked and Ren found himself hesitating at the edge of the party. It wasn't that he felt uncomfortable in the presence of so many. He wouldn't model if he felt shy under the gazes of others and would even bare all of himself without qualms. And yet, he did not enjoy this sort of interaction. From the start, his soul was never in the show.

"Ren!" Yasu's voice woke him from his stupor. The older man, strode over, commanding audience as he often did. Unlike many designers, he wasn't a flighty sort absorbed in his vanity. Instead, he was the sort of man who demanded respect with his very gaze. It was different from the chaos of a show, though he always had a short temper. Ren always found it uninteresting how he talked of fashion as if his designs didn't need to fight to win. It was a given. "Why don't you come stay by my side. I want to make you the new face of my line after all. Show off that beautiful gaze for me."

Not saying anything, Ren followed Yasu further into the crowd until the two of them found themselves surrounded by swarms of individuals from the press to celebrities. He spoke little, leaving it all up to the designer. Instead, Ren cast his eyes a little over the crowds at something distant. Distantly, he heard Yasu telling him to pose for a picture and noticed the camera lining up in front of him, but nothing much changed about Ren's demeanor. Only the slightest motions that came from instinct. Indeed, his soul wasn't in this. Not in this at all.

After mingling for a bit and keeping his eye out for the model, Tristian finally noticed him standing next to Yasu and practically glued to his side it seemed and couldn't contain a slight noise of frustration and disgust. He'd been hoping to avoid Yasu and maybe have a chance to talk to the model alone, but that didn't appear to be an option.

As such, he made his way toward the two, masking his face into something of a look of adoration as he greeted the other designer. "I must say Yasu," he commented voice deliberately a bit lighter than usual, it was his mingling voice, "You really do have the best eye for talent." A lie, for the most part. He looked over at the model. "You must tell me where can I find one?" he knew the words made it sound like the models were items, but he also knew that many designers though like that. It left a slight distaste in his mouth, the words elongating just slightly awkwardly on his mouth. "I've been having the worst luck finding that perfect look for my new show."

Yasu turned his attention to Tristian, never noticing that his favored model's head and heart were elsewhere. "Tristian is it?" he asked, recognizing the man as another designer. Not one without talent, but nothing next to him. Since he came to adore though, Yasu offered a hand to shake. "Yes, I understand your concerns. It just takes an open eye and a little ah...extra incentives to encourage them. It's simple really." Designers may seem cold scouting and stealing models at every moment possible, but models were also cold in the same way. Offer better deals, more money, and they would also change sides with no hesitation. All one needed was a little more to offer them.

Ren turned his gaze, only half noticing the conversation taking place next to him. He didn't know the individual Yasu talked to now and decided he didn't care. Still, he looked over the other man from his clothes to the long hair, everything meticulously in place. Even more so than some of the models here, he looked pretty. They talked about models. Even after Ren figured out the line of conversation, his expression didn't change. He turned his eyes away again, eyeing a server with wine not too far away.

Tristian wanted to grumble, he didn't particularly want to talk to Yasu, but he knew if he wanted to entice any of the model's attention, he'd have to mingle with the other designer for a bit. "Your new line is interesting," he said as he looked at the outfit the model was wearing. The clothing was a bit chaotic for Tristian; he preferred neater lines in clothing, but he wouldn't dare say that to Yasu.

As he was talking to Yasu, he noticed the model kept eyeing the wine glasses being carried around and resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He waved over one of the waiters and grabbed to glasses of wine, giving one to the model with a bit of smirk before turning back to Yasu, "So tell me about this guy? He was certainly the standout in your show."

Ren was about to use wine as an excuse to leave the conversation, though Yasu would get angry if he walked away rudely--again. He'd made a habit of it ever since starting to work for the guy. And yet, this stranger waved the wine over and Ren lost his chance. Though he probably wouldn't walk away anyway at such an important function as this. However, he did want to know. Would Yasu chase him? Taking the wine, Ren started to sip without much attention on the conversation still.

"Oh?" Yasu started. "Did he catch your eye? Ren is the finest specimen I've hired to date. He'll be the face of my line, right?" he asked, clapping a hand on Ren's back. The model grunted, neither agreeing or disagreeing. Yasu himself never noticed the lack of heart Ren put into his modeling even if it stunted his potential. After all, Ren already set the bar high from the start. "Ah, but he's not much one for words. Come one, Ren. Won't you greet the man?"

Ren's eyes focused on Tristian finally and a few seconds passed before he spoke. "...Hello."

Wasn't one much for talking certainly seemed to be true that or this Ren really couldn't stand Yasu. Tristian sincerely hoped it was the latter because that would make his mission so much easier. Either way, Tristian directed a genuine smile at the model and held out a hand to shake, "I'm Tristian Andry. You've really got quite a talent there." He didn't see I'd love to see you in better clothes, since Yasu was keeping an eye on exchange. "And you're new to the industry?" He smiled warmly before remembering that he should probably ask for the model's name. He'd heard Yasu stated, but it was just polite "Oh and what's your name?" he asked, laughing and a little awkward, he'd gotten to consumed in the vision of what could be again.

After shaking hands, Ren found his attention starting to drift again. "Thanks," he grunted, not bothering to respond to Tristian's second question. He just didn't feel like it, though he did offer his name if only because it was proper and he had no reason not to share it. "It's Ren...Lucero," he added after an extra second since it seemed more appropriate to. This sort of fake socializing though, he had no interest in participating in it. Once again, he wondered if he could walk away from this conversation, could actually get away with it. He turned his eyes slightly, tying to catch Yasu's gaze. Of course he missed it. The designer only paid attention to Tristian right now.

Yasu continued to talk, explaining how Ren would make his line successful like nothing before and this and that. Abruptly, Ren cut in. "Excuse me." With that, he walked off into the crowd without looking back once. It was something of a game. Or maybe not. He just felt like walking away.

Tristian startled a little bit at how the model behaved, it was certainly enough to be considered rude in almost all circles. He could understand hating the socializing or whatever, but it was still shocking to see. His eyes widened as he watched Ren walk away. Well now he had to find away to get away from Yasu and follow the model because there was really no point in talking to Yasu anymore if his object wasn't around. He nodded politely as Yasu kept talking, hardly even noticing the model had vanished it seemed, "That sounds fabulous sir, but" he cast his eyes around, "I see Coriana over there and I need to talk to her about a design I saw in her last show, so I will see later."

He quickly fled away from the other designer, honestly glad to be away from the conversation. And while he did at first head towards Coriana, smiling slightly at her, as she was a friend. Once he saw that Yasu's attention had diverted elsewhere, hopefully not to look for his model, he changed course to the direction he'd last seen Ren walk, determined to try and cast him away from Yasu. He kept his eyes peeled, even eyeing the shadowy corners of the room, certain that Ren would have tried to hide somewhere. In his haste to find the other, he stopped paying full attention to where he was walking and if there were people in front of him that he full on collided with someone, almost falling but managing to save himself by windmilling his arms and grabbing onto the taller man.

Ren walked a good fifteen paces through the room before stalling, waiting to see if anyone would call his name. They did not. Well, that was for the best. He rubbed his arm slightly, uncomfortable and warm in the jacket. He wanted to ditch the designer clothes and eyed the bathroom in the back corner, thinking he might just hide in there for the rest of the night. Bathrooms at places like this were lavish and not unpleasant to relax in. The buzz of too much conversation unsettled him and he started walking again, gulping down the last of his wine as he did so.

Out of nowhere, someone crashed right into him. Ren stumbled, losing his balance slightly, but the other's momentum wasn't enough to knock him down. However, the contents of his wineglass sloshed and just as the smaller man grabbed hold of him, the wine slashed down on top of them.

Ren's eyes went wide, breaking the normal placid mask. Wasn't that the other designer?...Tristian? "Uh..." he floundered, unable to understand this mess. "Are you okay?"

Tristian couldn't help but smiling widely when he saw he ran right into his target, which probably made him look a little manic, especially considering he could feel wine seeping into his clothes, which normally would send him into a rage, but it was his fault to begin with, at least it was white wine. Rather than answering Ren's question, he said, "Just the man I was looking for," he exclaimed, not releasing his hold on the other's arm.

"Now, why don't we go get cleaned up, I'm sure Yasu won't want his clothes returned with wine on them, and I know I want my designs to remain pristine, and while we're doing that we can talk." He didn't wait for a response from Ren, instead starting to pull him straight towards the restroom, his one track mind completely forgetting things like politeness.

Ren blinked in confusion before Tristian grabbed his arm and dragged him off in another direction. Ren realized the headed to the bathroom, where he intended to go in the first place, so he obediently followed behind without a word. He felt the cold stickiness of the wine against his skin, the actual discomfort of it hitting him after the realization that he spilled it in the first place. Indeed, Yasu would lose his shit.

By the time they reached the bathroom, Ren wore his usual face again. Any emotions in regard to this strange man mellowed out because most important was saving Yasu's clothes and himself from a scolding. Ren shrugged out of the jacket immediately, tossing it over the edge of a sink without care. "Sorry about the wine," he mumbled as he started to peel his shirt away as well. He'd been sweating too so the silky fabric clung to him in an annoying way that made him more than happy to remove it.

Tristian shook his head, "I ran into you, you wouldn't have spilled it if I haven't," He looked down at his shirt and jacket, pulling the jacket off glad to see the wine had ended up mostly on his shirt, which was an easier to clean fabric. He didn't bother pulling of the shirt and instead grabbed several paper towels and ran them under the faucet patting it against his shirt, knowing he'd do intensive cleaning later when he got home.

He turned his intention back to the model instead, eyes widening slightly as he stripped, the man was attractive after all, but his attention shifted back to the fabric as he took it gently from Ren's hands, "Let me," he said, afraid the model might completely ruin the fabric through sheer lack of knowledge. He didn't have everything necessary but he could make do with what was in the bathroom, enough that Yasu shouldn't notice.

As he was doing this, he turned to look at Ren, "Anyway, I don't care to talk about fabric right now. I want to talk about you and what it'll take to get you to reconsider the position with Yasu," straight to the point as always, "You are far too good to be trapped by an idiot like that. And if I'm not wrong, you don't particularly much seem to like the man." He stepped closer to Ren as he said this, definitely invading his personal space, and the manic glint was back in his eye.

Grunting in answer, Ren let Tristian take the clothes away which left him just standing there with nothing to do. At least he felt more comfortable now and after a second, turned to run his hands under the faucet. Most of the wine spilled there and down his arms, the rest landing on his chest. He felt glad he drank half the glass, but also sad he wouldn't get to drink the other half now. His mind drifted off in the direction of a drink when he realized Tristian continued to speak to him. Ren turned, trying to figure out why this guy was sticking to him. When the words sunk in, Ren's eyes went wide.

For just a second, Ren looked completely stunned before he recovered. Tristian stood far too close, but Ren didn't step back either, just left them in this awkward situation. "Why?" he finally asked. He didn't quite understand the whims of other people, but for the first time tonight, he found himself interested in someone else and their thoughts. Why did Tristian want him? Wasn't such an emotion as that strange?

"Why? Why?!" Tristian exclaimed looking at Ren like he was crazy, he'd set the shirt down to let it dry, and so his full attention was now focused on the model. "You're good, you're really good." he said. "My clothes would look fantastic on you." His words were piling on top of each other, he was in such a rush, the manic glow in his eyes getting brighter. "You're better than Yasu, and the asshole knows it, that's why he's so determined to keep you attached to him." He smiled, "I'm guaranteed to not be the only person trying to cast you out from underneath him, but" he paused, almost for effect "I am the one you should sign with, however, I won't treat you like Yasu or some other less savory designers and you and I could make it big together."

Ren forgot to breathe for a second before he turned his eyes away, staring at a corner of the floor. He couldn't look Tristian in the eyes right now. This didn't make sense, but he felt his heart beat a little faster at the other man's words. Yasu told him he was beautiful and talented. He told Ren they could rise to the top together. But he never said it with passion, not with words like this. He hadn't heard such things before and he didn't know what to do with them.

After hesitation, Ren managed to speak. "I don't care about things like that..." His voice came out in a whisper, the words still addressed to the floor. From the start, he never modeled for the clothes or attention. "Just matters he pays me well." Because if he wasn't going to care about the emotions, then what else was there to modeling?

Tristian frowned at that, "What so you'll take behavior like Yasu's for a fat paycheck," he didn't like that and he really couldn't understand how people could be in it just for the money. There was so much more to it than that. Designing was an art for, so was modeling, even if so many people refused to see that way. He reached forward and grabbed onto Ren, once again forgetting social boundaries, "Come on, you know you're better than that right?" he was absolutely certain of that. "And what's so bad about caring about more than just money, huh?" he asked, voice almost indignant in that moment, "You afraid or something?"

"Huh?" Ren just managed to start before Tristian got more manic than before. Startled by his touch, Ren froze before lifting his eyes. Why did this man care so much? He was just a model, a pebble in a sea of constantly changing faces and short lived careers. He heard that speech many times when he was starting. Most people didn't make it, but he did. So why did Tristian care?

More emotion spilled onto his face, making him look his young age, unlike usual. Ren always looked mature due to his eyes, but now his surprise and confusion revealed something else. "...Stop it. I'm telling you, offer me more money and I'll follow you, okay?" he managed, still at a whisper. Unable to meet Tristian's gaze, he looked away again, far back over his shoulder, but he didn't pull his arm away from Tristian's grip either.

Tristian made a face, he didn't like it, but as he stared at the model, a since of determination filled him. He'd get Ren to see it, to the see magic of the industry and ignore the more practical side. It was a challenge. One he was sure he was win because Tristian didn't give up until things were perfect, and this would be no different.

"Okay," he responded, "How much does Yasu pay you? I'll top it for sure." Probably a dumb decision, since Yasu was certainly a richer brand, but Tristian was resolved. This was a thing he was going to do. "You'll see, there's more to this than just that. I promise." Though if Ren did prove to be the push Tristian needed to finally get noticed, then it was just all the better. He didn't say that though, that really wasn't his primary concern at the other.

Ren hesitated before rattling off the number. In truth, he didn't think he'd mind switching to be Tristian's model even though the man bothered him. He was too much and Yasu was comfortable, but he knew himself that he didn't care for where he was right now. The thing was, he didn't know where else he wanted to be. The money was the most quantifiable and easiest thing to go by so he used it as an excuse now. "Is this fine?"

Tristian eyebrows shot up a bit, but he quickly masked it, already committed to offering more than whatever amount Ren had said. He quickly rattled off a counter offer that was several thousand more than what Yasu was paying him. It was certainly a steep amount to pay, but he was sure his funding could handle it. It wasn't like he wasn't a newbie and didn't have a good bit of money saved up to be able to afford to hire the higher class models. "So what do you say?" he asked, "Is that enough, you gonna come work for me now?" He couldn't keep the excitement out of his voice, certain that this was going to be amazing.

Since Ren already said he'd go with whoever paid him most, he didn't bother trying to fight it. Letting out a hum of agreement, he finally pulled away from Tristian, putting a few feet between them. "Yeah. It's good." He didn't have much more to say and just fell back into silence. This was already more socialization that he cared for, though he couldn't help but find Tristian at least a little interesting. Far more than Yasu anyway. After a second more of awkward silence, he turned back to his clothes and started to redress, not minding that the fabric still felt a little damp around the sleeves.
