see, spirited away is my close second lol i do love the whole story, but i guess i figured if i had to choose which one to watch right now it'd be howl's moving castle... so that's how i decide :P

I don't like the imagery of Spirited Away as much as the underwater scenes from Ponyo but I think Spirited Away has a better story. Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite though because Howl is just so dashing. *Blushes*

I watched Ponyo when I was in Paris about three months before it came out here in the US but then I went to see it again with my fiance when it came out here. Now I have it on DVD so I can watch it whenever I want though. ^_^

I want to get Ponyo on DVD, but I can't seem to find it when I have the money for it. Lol. Just bad luck I guess.

I saw it. Don't watch it. It's not Miyazaki. I thought it was awful and my fiance didn't really like it either. T_T

It starts out kind with this long bout of history. Then it's sort of slow but interesting, then it sort of loses you for a bit. And then all of the action comes at once with all this creepy weird stuff that comes out of the blue and doesn't really seem to fit. And in the end the imagery is pretty ugly to be honest.

I think I read somewhere that Miyazaki didn't want to create a dynasty of animators and for his son to make a name for himself.
I'm starting to think his son should listen to his words. :lol:
