I love movies...I"ll pretty much watch anything. XD

Well...I don't like old poorly done sci-fi movies...which is pretty much all of them haha.

My mother watches all your typical chick flicks - Right now she's in love with Russell Crowe.
And my father watches a lot of western classics. I tend to lean towards his tastes a bit more.

I like older movies and epics much better than most things coming out now. You really can't get anything better than Gene Wilder or Sidney Poitier.

Gene Wilder is excellent! <3

My mom has a taste for the classics and chick-flicks, which is fine by me. Generally we find it easier to agree since we both appreciate movies that make you think. However, she has very little tolerance for violence or gore, and likes to talk during movies or asks people to spoil the endings for her since she hates too much suspense.

My dad on the other hand loves movies consisting of mostly sex and violence, so he'll rent those crappy titles no one has ever heard of for a dollar just because "it sounded good". =/ I've had to sit through enough junk like that, so I usually don't watch the movies he rents anymore. But he also thinks my favorites are usually boring. ^^;

My roommate would probably get along with your father. She is a maniac for horror films. I'll be sitting here on my computer, happen to glance over at the tv screen, and see someone getting disemboweled. Gross stuff. I just don't understand how she can watch any of it...

Actually horror movies are fine by me so long as they have some plot. My friends are horror freaks so I get dragged along. XD;

My dad actually isn't that big on horror movies. He just likes the action movies with sexy ladies in them. ^^;

I usually like horror movies. Mostly for the thrill I guess that comes with them. The biggest problem sometimes is that horror movies don't go into much character detail and I think that is why people don't like them.

I generally don't mind gore or anything.

My favorite horror movie is Saw, which can be gory but definitely has a nice, intricate plot :'D

I like action movies and some blood.
I really don't care for the movies where the girl runs away from the killer and keeps looking back then falls down then gets captured.
And I don't like cheap-cut-edited movies too...
Like blood and chocolate + skin walkers and the grudge 1 + 2.

I just can't take the sight of blood. Even a little bit of gore is too much for me. I hate that most modern horror flicks show everything that happens when a person gets killed. It's disgusting.

I prefer Alfred Hitchcock movies where you see some of the gore, but they leave you hanging. That's the best right there. But since everyone wants to see the bloody entrails, they have to show what happens.

Besides, horror is only good if the person directing the film can make you believe that this kind of thing could happen to you in your neighborhood.

The book was even scarier...there were things in the book that they could not put on television. *shivers*

You're welcome. :)

My family and I don't get a lot of time to spend together so when we do hang out we'll usually watch movies so I love em.

@Knerd: Well I was going to watch Count of Monte Cristo, but my dad came home so that idea was out. XD We watched The Boondock Saints instead.

You probably wouldn't like that one since there's blood galore. ^^; I like it though; it's filmed in an interesting way.

My roommate has a poster of the Saints up her wall. I can see it whenever I lie down on my bed.

But it's okay because they're Irish. =)

I do love the way they talk throughout the movie. X3 It's kind of a cult-classic I guess.

I'm a bit confuse about the rules. ^^;;

Is it one entry for each category (modern and classic) or one entry for the whole contest (both category)?

One entry for each category.

You can enter right now for the "Modern Films" section, and then enter again once we put the new list of films up.
You just aren't allowed to enter using your mule, or to re-submit your entry because you suddenly remembered one of the answers.

I just sent in my entry. I was only able to figure out half but I figured some is better than none. I've got pretty much no knowledge of "classic" romance movies so I will most likely know none of those.
