Indeed, it is a sad thing.

Yeah, I keep glucose tablets with me. They taste awful though. And I eat proteins and fats and complex carbs (I loooove simple carbs, though, so I never cut them out, just eat less of them). And I have to eat really regularly. It's supposed to be every two hours, but who in their right mind has time to eat that often?

Peanut butter is my BEST FRIEND.

no one does! especially with work. i swear some days I wouldn't get to eat at all if it weren't for me reminding my boss that I do get breaks.. but then that still doesn't stop people from walking up during my break and saying they need this resized/altered/printed. and then they look huffy when you don't start doing it right then and there -_-

Yeah. And if I sub for elementary schools, half the time I don't get a lunch break at all, you have to be with the kids the whole time, except for maybe PE. I've learned to take nuts and granola bars in my purse at all times. Every two hours, though, is just totally not a possibility.

i usually have nuts of some kind and raisins with me i like granola bars but my fiancé seems to eat all of them before I get to pack myself any lol. he takes them in his lunch though which is good. he's such an unhealthy eater. I worry about him moreso than me. but I have more health issues.

Hahaha, oh man. I think it's a natural thing to worry about your loved ones more than yourself. I worry about my boyfriend for forever.

my boyfriend is a fast food every day guy in general. and one of his favorite lunches is a cup o noodles (and he'll drink the water afterwards with all the salt) sone chips (usually flaming hot cheetos) and one of those multi serving sized energy drinks. i think the size of monster he gets is 2 servings.

I know! :( at least I'm happy that sometimes he'll substitute the chips for a granola bar. sometimes >.< and i can get him to drink teas. granted they're sweet teas but I still think the arizona teas are still better than the energy drinks.

---------- Post added 05-20-2012 at 03:30 PM ----------

if he doesn't pack a lunch though he ends up having either jack in the box or burger king since both of those are close to his work. but those might even be healthier than why he has when he packs his lunch just because of the salt content.

Oh man, my boyfriend does sweet tea too. And I can't say too much, because I drink soda, but at least I also drink water. He only drink sweet tea, or sugared coffee, or occasionally a soda. And he wonders why his blood sugar is always spiking. Dumb butt.

lol. i have no clue about shaun's healt. he also never sees doctors and doesn't have health insurance and I can't insure him for him until we're married. he makes me upset with those things just because, for him, insurance from Fry's is so cheap but he still won't do it.

me too but I can't really change that about him. I just told him when we're married i'm forcing him to have insurance since I refuse to ever be liable for thousands of dollars of medical debt. and he agrees that that wouldn't be fair to me.

yeah. especially for him. I know sometimes people look completely healthy and they're time bombs. and he's one of those guys that looks completely healthy: thin, has somewhat defined muscles, but horrible eating an exercise habits.

I wouldn't since I'm sure its a mess in there and I loves him so I don't want it to be. At least I know once we're married I can somewhat control what he eats a little better. I know i always cook with canola oil if any and minimal salt and lots of white chicken and not as much fish since I do't like fish much myself but I still try to have it every now and then. And i know he wouldn't be apposed to me packing his lunch. :P

Yeah, I hate fish, but it's good for you. Married men do tend to live longer for those very reasons.

Im not sure maybe its just that I don't know how to prepare it right? but even in restaurants, fish just doesn't taste like anything to me.

I wonder if tuna is even healthy.. because it really doesn't taste like any other fish.

other fish though, they all taste like the same nothingness to me.

Tuna has healthy meat, the only issue with tuna is the mercury content and also that it isn't a sustainable fishery. But then, there aren't a ton of sustainable fisheries at all these days.

i've heard most fisheries fail inconsistently, like there's not any one common issue that can be pinpointed so now hardly anyone even tries.

mercury is pretty bad though.. it never leaves your system. but tuna is just about the only fish I don't mind. my work does trips and its always free for me to go but i never do >.< one of the trips they do is a Deep Sea Fishing trip.

Well, pretty much any large predator fish has mercury in it these days. Overfishing is a pretty consistent issue with the fisheries. But no one wants to cut back.
