I don't know. I just can't wait to see the commons. The event on other sites are not that great and the commons ain't either. These site has always had good commons and everything. Like the Christmas one.

Personally, black doesn't get me in the mood for Valentine's Day at all. Black and skulls just make me think of Halloween instead... Doesn't really fit. *Wonders if everyone on this team is single or just hates Valentine's Day.* XP

Well, I've been techinically single for a while and never been big on Valentines day, even when in a relationship. So I don't see why my relationship status should affect me disliking valentines day or not.

Also, the black fits me. Today it's not black roses.

I'm single and realistic.
I'm a bit young, I think, to have a boyfriend. Nobody takes it seriously at my age...

XD Well I think just about every holiday is commercialized so to me it doesn't really make any difference which holiday it is. I think I'm the only person who actually kind of likes the commercialization of holidays... I like going to stores and places and seeing them decorated for whatever day is coming up. I know they are just trying to get people to spend their money but I still like seeing it for whatever reason. XD Except I hate when they overdo it by starting too early... Like Halloween stuff in August and Christmas stuff in October... That annoys me.

I really dislike the commericalization. I don't mind collecting cute items and things, but the over done of any holiday really takes away from the meaning about them.

I totally agree, like, things aren't as special when it's all just about buying stuff you don't want or need but feel like obligated or something to get.

Oh, I hate feeling like I owe someone something. it sucks. One of the reasons to also not like V-day, it feels like I have to prove I love someone on that day, or else I'm just bitter and hateful.

I haven't liked v-day since elementary when we decorated boxes and gave each other valentines and candy, haha.

I liek giving out friends cheesy and horrible valentines.
Last year I did Rocky horror for V-day. We did a show on that day, and I gave the audience bratz v-day cards while telling them that: Their Relationships were doomed, one person was cheating on the or a variety of other bitter things.
Most people laughed.
I miss having a show to perform on v-day.

I love those assorted valentines chocolate, but usually just go buy my own to eat because no one gets me any. I want goodies, I go get them myself. XD

I really hated valentines day in school though because it just pissed me off... I hated walking around while looking around and seeing all these other people toting around balloons, giant teddy bears, huge boxes of chocolate, and bouquets of flowers all over the damn school.. half of that was from their parents like they couldn't have just waited until they were home to give it to them. They had to bring it to the school and leave it in the office so they'd announce over the intercom for that person to come to the office to get their stuff. Guess that makes me bitter, but it was just annoying. Plus, I mean... even if you did get something huge like that at school, you still have to carry it around all day so it's a pain in the butt and annoying when you're tripping over teddy bears on the way to your desk.

I think for me, it's (weirdly) the profusion of roses on Valentine's day that gets me. I've never really been a fan of them you see! I'd much prefer a nice bunch of irises or something less mainstream - why roses?!

I wouldn't say I hate the day, I just find it odd that such a huge fuss is made. In fact, I find the general commercialisation of a lot of holidays odd, so this is something that goes across the board for me. (The celebration of St. Patrick's day by people with no Irish blood in them really gets me as well! Call me pinickety, but, go and get your own patron saint, eh!)
