I know this sounds awful, but since I stopped using fluoride toothpaste my teeth have stopped deteriorating quite as rapidly. Instead of 5 cavities a year I get maybe one or two.

I can definitely relate though, I'm careful about letting soda touch my teeth now too, so maybe that's helped as well.

I didn't know they make non-fluoride toothpaste

they do. :3 I use...um. Jason's? I think that's what its called but there are a few out there. ^^

Apparently there's a small percentage of the population that reacts poorly to fluoride, I don't know exactly if I'm part of it, but my teeth hurt less now. :3 So I consider it a win.

I should look into it.

It might be worth checking out, but i think there are tests to see if you react poorly to fluoride? should check that out... I'm sure it's costly though so I haven't done it. ^^; but regular toothpaste makes my teeth hurt so I figured...why not? and then i realized when i went to the dentist two years later i only had two cavities, so i assumed it must be working. :)

I think i do! I've got like a calcium issue or something.. Is that the same thing? Lol
Like when i as pregnant my levels never changed. Which apparently is bizzare.

A calcium issue alone could be the problem. If your body isn't processing it, its probably not developed in your teeth when you were a kid and your adult teeth were growing in...

I think thats how that works anyway.

I found some natural toothpaste too. It's quite a decent price and it's a nz company. So yay! Found some for my boy too. As i was worried about him as he swallows his toothpaste all the time.

I was kinda good at biology but haven't used much of the info in a long time. lol so don't just take my word for it!
but fluoride free stuff is definitely good for kids who won't stop drinking the toothpaste. XP at least until they learn not to.
