Build: Awkward and teenaged. Kai wishes he were less scrawny, but he doesn't have the motivation to do anything about it.

Hair: Sand-brown, the tips bleach during the summer because he spends a lot of time outside. He does not take particularly good care of it, and it is overall short, with small individual locks of different lengths because he braids and beads it on occasion and then usually forgets to remove the bangles he puts in until they start to yank uncomfortably on his scalp.

Eyes: Turquoise, like the Mediterranean. He has long lashes, and his eyes always seem to be smiling, or more appropriately, scheming.

Skin: Kai spends a lot of time outdoors or at sea, so his skin, although naturally pale, does have some tan to it. It also peels a lot more often than he would like. His rosy cheeks and the bridge of his nose are spattered in freckles.

Clothing/Weapons: Kai likes to dress fancy, but he can't actually afford it. His wardrobe is filled with hand-me-down and stolen clothes, much of which is either too small or too big depending on when and where he got it. He can usually be seen in a loose shirt, worn leather vest, wool pants, and boots. If he wants to show off, he'll don his faded, dark green, Captain's coat. The red band he wears around his head is actually the remains of his maternal great-grandfather's Alisian sash which he takes surprisingly good care of. Although Kai is well-known for making weapons out of things that shouldn't be weapons (specifically bottle of alcohol), he usually keeps on his person the scimitar that Aden gave to him for his thirteenth birthday, which his godfather had also stolen from somewhere. He has poor aim with a pistol, but he will sometimes carry one around if the need arises.

Other Physical Features: Kai always has a number of scrapes and bruises, especially at the hands, knees, and elbows, usually because he thinks it's tougher not to look too much out for himself when doing ordinary things and practicing. If it's little, which is usually is because his friends take care of him, he just laughs it off.
