@Dolly: Nah...I would've been squished. It took hours for everyone to leave. D: A friend of mine who went to the Dream Mall said it took them eight minutes to squeeze their way in, and over half an hour to get back out again. And they hadn't even stayed there to watch the fireworks display finish!

Woah! That's pretty bad! I went to Yi Zhong Jie and it was pretty packed but not THAT bad

一中街 is nearly always packed, unless it's during school hours. :lol: I almost got squished there one time too...逢甲夜市 is also pretty bad. Only went there a couple of times and the first time I was there it took like an hour to 'walk' (because I was mostly 'carried' there by the people squishing me from behind and in front) down one street. :sweat:

Wow that is pretty bad. Taiwan is kinda known for it's over population isn't it?

Haha, but it's thanks to the high density of human population that we have such convenient things like 24hr convenience stores that you can pay all your bills at, get all the stuff you bought from online at (if the seller makes deliveries via the convenience stores' delivery system), and things like night markets and being able to find food at any time of the day~ :drool:

Valid point. Well, guess I shouldn't complain then lol. Although, being white here fully sucks. I get approached all the time for photos and just to speak. On new years, it was terrible! Like being a celeb but without the awesome pay cheque

Wow, really? :shock:;; I've seen many people of different ethnicity around, but I've never seen them approached for pictures. :sweat: I do know some parents who like to nudge/push/shove their children towards them to 'practice their English' though...which is totally stupid because just because they might be from another country doesn't mean they speak English, not to mention rude. :roll: How would they feel if someone shoved a bunch of kids over to them to stutter broken Chinese at them? *shakes head*
