From what little I've experienced of sunburn, it's evil. Oddly enough despite my normal pallor (even people at the hospital commenting I look pale), I happen to be 1/8th cherokee indian. When I was a child and my nocturnal tendancies hadn't kicked in yet, I would tan rather than burn. I would just sometimes get a light burn on my cheeks and shoulders... and that's with using SPF 4 or 8 sunscreen.
I don't think I've ever tanned. My pretty fair - not "Perhaps I have tuberculous?" pale - it has some colour, but it has a translucent quality that doesn't handle sun properly. Not that I mind. I'm prefer rain.
I don't really burn in sun either, at least not very easily. But I tan weirdly. XD And relatively easily. But I am rarely not pale. >o> Since I don't spend all that much time in sun at summer.
My sisters have this natural golden hue to their skin, but I'm pretty pale. I tend to burn more than tan. If I still lived in Michigan I'd be paler still. Going outside at all here seems to give me a tan...
When I see myself around in this avatar, I keep thinking to myself "I need a theme song". I think I'll borrow this one, as it's a great striding song when to listen to your ipod when you're walking amongst the throng.
This thread doesn't die! It just goes to sleep. Plus with all the vampires and the like hanging around, it's really hard to differentiate between dead and undead-but-not-alive. ;)
