I would have driven in to the store today, but with all the sales and post-holiday madness, I was afraid that there might be more traffic than I'm ready for.

I know what you mean. My dad has made me drive everywhere. Once I drove about four hours straight.

Wow! I haven't driven very much, myself. I've done two-lane service roads and a tiny bit of town-driving, but no highway driving yet. I'm really bad with intersections without signals. I'm always afraid that I don't have the right of way or that I do but I won't make it out in time to not inconvenience people.

I would be a timid driver but my dad blew that away for the most part. I've been on highways, in cities, on bridges (bay bridge which is freakin scary), and impossible two way streets with cars parked on both sides.

oH - My mom isn't really pushing me. She knows that if she pushes me to do something I'm not comfortable with, I'll get worse, not better. If I'm not comfortable, I get very unsure of myself. But if it works for you, that's great.
Now I want to go driving.... My parents are going out tomorrow. Maybe they'll let me drive them
