My mother is completely against it, though. She doesn't think colleges will like it if I finish my high school time online. *sobsob*

Most colleges accept anyone as long as they can pay and have a decent record. Why do you want to go to college and what classes are you planning to take?

My parents are forcing me to go. I can't really do anything without going, anyway. To me, it's just part of my required years in school, so of course I'll be going. I guess my reason is because I have to? I have looked at colleges and I have an idea of what I'll be doing once I get there. I'll keep going with Latin and I want to take some sort of art class. I know that much.

Hoo boy.... If your parents are forcing you to go, then it's only fair that they pay for everything school related. Attendance, classes, books, fees, school lunches, etc. Any loans taken out must be cosigned by them. It's only fair.

For colleges it is best that you have an idea of what you want to do afterward. At least have several planned careers planned out before going. That way you can plan for classes that will actually help you.

I'm curious, how will Latin help you exactly?

It's just something I'm good at. I don't know what else I'd do if I didn't keep going with it unless I switched it out for an Asian language.

I didn't plan what I was going to do after college. I still don't know what I am going to do. And it is complete normal to change your major twice in the first year you attend college. I had changed my major four times (technically three times since two times were back to the same thing).

I didn't bother looking up colleges at all honestly. Once I graduated high school, I went right to the community college that's around here (or at least the one that I don't have to commute over a huge mountain that is dangerous when it snows). Then I transferred to the closest college which is closer than the community college I went to. It's a very decent college and is private.

I wished it had Latin though. That would be awesome if it did. I would take it just to hopefully make a decent grade since at least the first and maybe second semester of it would be review for me since I took three years of latin in high school.

Wow! That's really good to know. The high school I go to makes us do all that college planning stuff. I would love to go to a small/private college, since I'm not much of a people person.

My Latin class is a lot of fun. We're all ridiculous.

I think we were supposed to do that too unless we were not planning on going to college or planned on going to a community college. What's nice about going to my private school, is that I also get state financial aid as well as federal...but it still doesn't pay for everything. T_T

Everyone hated out class but loved the teacher. Our teacher was awesome but he can be very critical. We loved playing games, watching movies and documentaries. But we hated translating. XD

What do you think Latin would be best for? Are you interested in history, archaeology, law, science, hospital work, etc? Those are what would use Latin most.

I'm a studio art major with emphases in drawing and photography.

Like I said, I'll take it because I don't know what else to take.

Well...your advisor should be able to tell you what all you will need to take.
