My grandfather passed away just a couple weeks ago . . . I've known him all my life. *sigh* It's a harsh hit dealt: like someone ripping a hole in your family picture and taking their very presense away. Heck, I can relate it to that sinking feeling you get when you think there is one more stair in front of you . . . and you just stumble for a moment before getting your bearings.

Jesseh, I pray that things go smoothly for you and your family, dear. Know that they love you and they know you love them in return.

yea losing a loved one sucks...about 2-3 years ago I lost my great grandma, two years after having lost my great grandpa...And while we'd never really been close...I really mourned the loss. I nver realized how much I actually cared for my great grandpa, considering how gruff and moody he was with everyone else, and how he always was calling me tadpole or polliwag....Apparently I was his favorite grandchild cuz I was one of the few who could understand him when he got older his words were hard to interpert and I had no problem talking to him...He passed during my birth month...Then when my great granma had moved down to be closer to real family, I had gone to sleep over at a friends, and on my friends birthday(the exact day), my great grandma had died...I never got to say good bye to either, and I always felt I'd never been a better great grandchild, especially since I happen to value family, a lot, even though mine has been total shit...I did come up with a poem after my great grandma died, but it was kinda dark and depressing, so I'm hesitant to post it in my blog...>.>

Aw . . . I'm sorry, deary. It seems like we've all dealt with the death of a loved one. I don't like it . . . I know none of us do! That's too bad. At least I know that I'm the least emotional in my family - I can be a support for those around me. :sweat: I'm sure we've all gotten stronger from our experiences, too.
