Anji smiled not exactly expecting the response that Meizu gave. He seemed to not bother with politeness either but it seemed he was giving it a chance today as well. Anji frowned when he offered to walk her partway back to her house. How did he know where she lived? Or was he just assuming that she lived in that direction. She was considering declining his offer but before she could say anything he had already taken off.

Anji hesitated in the doorway a moment before running to catch up with Meizu. "Uh... I actually have some business of my own to take care of." Anji blushed slightly and mentally kicked herself, "I'll see you tomorrow though, early afternoon?" she asked and then, "Good! I'll see you then." Before he even got a chance to reply she waved goodbye and started running in the opposite direction.

Meizu looked back at her and waved back. He then turned and headed back in the direction that he was headed. He knew that she was ditching him, just to get away. He probably scared her away, and he won't wee her tomorrow.

Anji didn't see him wave as she ran off. She knew Meizu probably thought that she was ditching him but she still had every intention of honoring their agreement.

After rounding a corner Anji slowed to a walk. She sighed heavily and pushed back the hair that had fallen in her face. She continued to wander, taking various turns this way and that until she reached her apartment without crossing paths with the direction that Meizu had taken.

Once at the office, there was a posting, but the offer was a bit shy of what he go for. "Maybe later.." he said turning around, and walking back to his place.

Once there, he placed his staff on the rack where it goes, and sat down in the center of the floor. He sat there in that one place for quiet some time, just thinking, and calming himself. He was also preparing for what he was going to train in the next day.

Anji fumbled the door open. Her fingers seemed to be having a small bit of difficulty doing what she wanted them to. Stepping inside Anji found that her mind was buzzing slightly and wondered vaguely if she had had too much to drink.

Anji wandered down the hallway and stopped at the doorway to her room. She sighed again and went over to lay on the futon that she had left on the floor. Her mother would be ashamed to know that she didn't pick it up every morning but Anji didn't care.

Laying down on top of the messy pile of blankets she sighed and closed her eyes. An uncomfortable sensation washed over her as the room began to spin slightly. Had she really had that much? Anji could recall. After a short while she fell asleep despite the fact that the sun still shone outside.

Now about sun set, Meizu worked his way out to the roof of his place. He sat there like he was before, but this time, he was more alert on what was going on. He could hear the children playing in the street, and the sounds of the wind blowing over the roofs edge. He was in the place that he always wanted to be in, and he didn't want to ever leave this little town. He helped out so much, and he knew most if not all the people that lived in the town as well.

Anji awoke just before sunset and found herself laying fully clothed atop her unmade futon. The room was dark save a small beam of sunlight streaming as the sun fell below the horizon. Anji sat up and immediately regretted it. A terribly painful throbbing sensation exploded inside her skull and for a moment lights flashed before her eyes.

After a few moments the pain subsided to a dull throb and Anji slowly stood. Carefully navigating the dark room Anji made her way out into the hall and followed it to kitchen where she filled a glass with water and slowly drank it down.

Meizu stood thinking of the offer at the office. It was something that could be done by morning, so he thought to get the money, and get back before she showed up the next morning. He walked down, and out to the street. Once at the office he accepted the offer, and was breffed on what he had to do.

Once breffed, he couldn't back out. The mission was to go to the next town, and get back the stone that was stolen two days prior. It was being kept by the most powerful person of the town, and to them it was going to be hard, but Meizu thought differently, and headed off to the next town that was up north.

After draining her glass Anji filled it again and drained it once more. Deciding that a bath would do her some good Anji went back to her room to find a clean change of clothes. Her apartment was too small to have it's own bath and so she had to walk a few blocks away to the bath house whenever she got the urge to bathe. Slipping on a pair of sandals Anji made her way out into the street. Although it was dark now there was still a fair amount of people out on the streets as Anji made her trek.

Meizu was just leaving town. He was running as fast as he could. It would take about 3 hours if he walked, and 1 if he ran. So he took off dodging trees, holding out his staff, as he ran.

After a few minutes of walking Anji rounded another corner and found herself facing the bath house. Sliding back the screen door she let herself in. Wandering down the long corridor she made her way to an empty room and deposited her clean clothes on the stand before turning to slide the door closed.

Meizu rounded around more trees, and got there faster than he thought. He spotted the building. It was a piece of cake. He had to break into this place before, and he had to do it again. he was in and out within 20 minuets with the stone in hand.

Anji undressed, letting the clothes fall to the floor around her. Kneeling down on the cold stone floor Anji poured some water over her dirty clothing and began scrubbing them against the washing board. After only a few moments she had finished washing all of her garments and hung them on the hooks lining the walls. Sitting on a small stool she washed her hair and body. Once finished she lowered herself down into the heated tub to soak.

Meizu made it back, and collected his money. He was starting to get hungry again, and it was completely dark out by now. So he walked around till he found a nice vender and got some food.

Anji lay back in the tub and let the warm water do it's work. The steam was doing wonders for her throbbing headache and she let her mind wander for quite some time. After a while Anji noticed her skin starting to prune and decided it was time get out. Stepping out of the tub she quickly dried and dressed in the simple short white robe she had brought along. Once dressed she gathered up her damp clothing and slipped her feet back into her sandals before exiting the bath house clean and refreshed.

Meizu walked back to his place, and perched up on the roof again. He sat there while he ate his noodles, and had the breeze passing him, while he was there. It was quiet, and calm..a nice night

Stepping back out into the street Anji shivered slightly as the wind blew around her. She took her time walking back, it was a nice night even if it was a bit chilly.

There were a few other people that were still out during this fine night. The thugs that Meizu chased eairlyer were still out. The one that got away spotted the girl that was this that guy, and he brought his group in toward her. "what do we have here?" he asked in a cocky tone.

Meizu was finishing up his meal, and just sat there listening to the sounds of the night.

Anji was so caught up in enjoying the night that she didn't notice the men converging around her until one of them spoke up. She frowned at the guy's cocky tone and suppressed the urge to slap him. "Can I help you with something?" Anji asked, annoyed.

"I don't know..can you?" he asked while the other guys started laughing, and coming in closer

Meizu lent back in the chair, and stared at the moon. It was full once again.

Anji again resisted the urge to haul out and slap the nearest one. Giving a huff of annoyance she turned and started in a direction away from the men, trying her best to ignore them.

another guy walked in front of her. "where ya going?" he asked grabbing her arm.

Anji tore her arm out of his grasp, "Don't you DARE touch me pig!" she snarled at him before continuing to walk away.

"Oh a feisty one.." the main guy said walking up behind her, and grabbing her arm again. One of the other guys walked over, and he was holding a rope, and a bag.

Anji spun at the man behind her throwing her elbow as hard as she could into the man's gut, "I said not to touch me!" Tearing her arm out of his grasp once again she lashed out with her foot this time with a blow aimed directly at his crotch.
