This was informative. Didn't know we get gold for reporting, but then again, I've never found the need to use it yet.

I got a pop up message to this thread, does that mean that I did something wrong and didn't notice?

FaePinkfyre: Nope! The notices are sent automatically to all newbies after they've made a certain amount of posts. The system can't automatically tell if you've done something wrong. If you've done something wrong, you will receive a private message from a moderator what you did wrong will be made clear, there won't be any confusion about what happened. :)

Considering how many messages pop up along almost that exact same line, perhaps the wording of that announcement needs to be changed...

The wording doesn't imply that people are in trouble. They probably just worry that they are as it's quite likely the first notice that they've seen.

Ummm...wouldn't this encourage gold-fishing trolls and flamers??? I mean, 50g a report...or have some posting in wrong forum accidentally on purpose...that kinda thing...just saying ;)

Lol I thought this was funny as heck. I aparently did something wrong. And I thought the same thing as it said I was probably thinking. XD Though, I'm not sure WHAT I did wrong. >_< I'm sorry for whatever I did!

Edit: I see. I read a few posts up, and saw I wasn't in trouble. =3 I am new to here, so I got it. Phew. >3< I was worried.

Speaking from a percentage standpoint, I still think it's statistically significant the proportion of posts in this topic that are "did I do something wrong?"

Makes one wonder how many even more timid users are just sitting scared, and how many leave entirely for "getting in trouble" for no reason.
