Why?

they're trying to implement a more natural feel and flow to the game. Like, you can blacksmith and chop wood and do all kinds of stuff that isn't adventure involved, and apparently the game keeps a log of everything you do and uses it to craft a specific story. Like, it'll purposefully send you places you've never been and tailor the enemies to your strengths and weaknesses. It looks absolutely amazing. I'm hoping that they're going to follow what the statistic would generally say, which is: after the release of a product that was so heavily laden with problems, the company will be at least as likely as not to take steps to ensure a pristine product release, especially with a project as ambitious as this one sounds. This almost sounds like they're trying to step up the bar that the fable games set, provide a less silly alternative. I'm excited.
