Born into a clan called the Spirituum Lupus, Leo is a Wolf Spirit, a human who can transform into a wolf at will. Leo' mother Kaylee was betrothed to the Alpha after the death of his father, Kevin, but Leo discovered that their Alpha, Daniel has broken a rule that the clan has sworn to up hold; to never kill another clan member. Leo had seen Daniel shoot and kill his father, while hiding behind a tree. During the ceremony of the giving away of his mother’s hand to Daniel, Leo confronted Daniel in front of everyone. No one believed him. And so since Daniel was the clan leader, he decided to have Leo Banished. And to mark that he was Banished, half of his tail was removed, symbolizing to all other Wolf Spirits that Leo was outcasted from the Spirituum Lupus. To symbolize this in his human form he was branded on his left lower back of a half-moon, another symbol to show that he is no longer a full wolf. With his mother being a new wife to the man that killed his father, and the banishment of her only son, she commits suicide because Kaylee cannot bear to be away from her only remaining kin, even in human form. Leo swears he will get revenge on the man that took his father's life, and now is the reason for his mother’s suicide. But little did he know, someone would start to complicate things.
