That's the only other series I've seen (the one by Elizabeth Kerner) that is a dragon/human relationship. They are indeed rare.

i found a book called dragon lovers which was a collection of short stories about them but that's all i've ever really found

WELL THEN! You simply must read Song in the Silence. It's a series of three books. The first one is, put mildly, beautiful. And the main male isn't an utter idiot like Linden was.
