"Dont let her escape!" Came the yells of a commanding officer, he led what looked to be a whole squadron of soldiers. They'd been chasing after a single person ever since the command was given, a foreigner that they didn't trust, they believed could easily be a spy, or maybe there was something more valuable about them. It didn't really matter to these soldiers. Orders were orders.
"Our lord wants this woman alive! Get to it!"

If nothing else, the kingdom of Gastehl was very single minded, and so were its soldiers, they were a rather blind people, unfriendly to foreign folk. It was just this woman's bad luck that they were the first she'd ever encountered on this backwater dust-ball of a planet. How did she get herself into this mess?

A darkly cloaked figure continued to dash in-between the trees and out of sight, but the armored squadron of soldiers chasing her were surprisingly quick. Not to mention some were riding war-beasts that could track her, snarling wolf-like mounts, two tails balancing their heavy forms out, muscular structures no doubt fantastic for ripping apart prey, but they wanted this woman alive..

These forests were home to some old, broken structures, and she could see that as she headed for them. The enclosed spaces would make it difficult for the war-beasts to follow in after, but that didn't mean they couldn't try to cut her off somewhere. The further she ran the more apparent the strange ruins became. She could see mossy figureheads and statues, some half-destroyed.

She could still hear them behind, her cloak flowing out around her, but she wore a second set of robes below, it did little to hide her, as far as her figure was concerned and it also betrayed strange shapes, like armor, lining various parts of her body.
Perhaps it was the red eyes, the white hair that shone sapphire blue and the unusual headdress that rested against her brow. She was obviously not one of them.
She came to a halt behind a pillar, standing in place and breathing heavily, half exhausted from the long run. These men just wouldn't give up until they'd dogged her halfway across the continent..

She looked up, staring at the great shadows in the sky. No, they weren't clouds, there were clouds too, the shadows were asteroids, they sat between this planet and the sun. Its day and night cycles were far longer than on her home planet, and the over exposure to sunlight would normally have fried the entire landscape, but this planet had a curiously perfect orbit, the asteroid field around the sun protected it all year round, taking the heat and radiating it back toward the sun, a greenhouse effect of sorts, sure the planet could have some hot days where the breaks were wider, but the nights here.. They were cold.. Very very cold..

There had also been something else in the sky, from the ground it blended in with the blue-green sky. Considering the torrents its wings created practically ripped apart the clouds it flew through, it was clear that it as large, if not larger than the war-beasts that chased her. It dipped slightly and circled in a wide arc before lowering itself into the trees a small distance away. It kneeled and folded itself leathery wings up against its sides as a smaller form slid down the scaled sides.

He landed in the dense grass easily and looked back at his partner with a nod. Raising a his gauntlet covered hand his fingers pulled into a fist and he watched his companion nod and settle its head on the ground as his hand signal had told it to. Patting the beasts on its armor covered shoulder he turned and walked off towards when the soldiers were currently looking.

The ruin covered territory marked the beginning of his people's land, and the end of the soldiers' lord's empire. He'd been sent out by his superiors to investigate exactly why the soldiers were in his home land without permission or any sort of warning ahead. Muttering nasty things under his breath he looked ahead to see the girl duck around one of the half broken pillars and hide on the opposite side of one as him.

It was then, when he heard the commander of the soldiers shouting about a hefty reward he'd give the man who captured the girl, did he make the connection that they were after the girl. Shaking his head in disapproval of the way the soldiers were handling the situation he headed for the pillar the girl hid around.

He stopped and took a step back as the soldiers came into view.
"Check everywhere, we are going to find that woman!" The commanded ordered as men began to spread out and look almost everywhere. He knew it wasn't a good idea to just watch, but with his own safety coming first at the moment, he simply watched hoping they didn't see him and sick one of their beasts on him.

He crouched and found a spot in the underbrush that he could still see most of the men and the pillar the girl hid behind that they hadn't checked. He pushed a lock of ruby red hair out of his face and behind one of his ears, hoping the dark brown of his fur cloak that wrapped around him helped to mask his scent from the beasts.

The mystery woman raised her hand up to her face, or rather, next to it, holding the wrist close to her mouth,
"Charge level..?" She questioned it, hearing a response in her ear. Thirty-two percent.. It would have to do. It owuld be jsut about enough for dealing with these men. She needed to think, but the more she waited, the more time these men had. With one final sigh she spoke into her wrist once again,
"Cloak." She whispered and with that, she vanished, or atleast alot of her did, the bigger cloak and robs she was wearing stayed visible. they weren't attuned to her device so it wasn't a surprise. Like a ghost, she pulled the cloak and robes form her body, tossing it out in full view of a soldier who ran over, thinking she'd just tripped, only to see the discarded robes were just that.. A very unusual realization occurred to him.. Was this woman running around naked now?!

No, she wasn't, but he probably didn't know any better, even as he turned around to call for the commander, but then he suddenly fell sideways. Or rather, he was forced sideways by an unknown force. But it was the woman, her suit under the cloak had turned her mostly invisible, in fact the only thing that could be seen of her was a blue, a slight warping in the air, so faint that you'd have to be focusing to see it. She'd gotten behind him silently and kicked him cleanly across the side of the head, making him stumble behind another pillar where the blur of a woman chased him down and bowled him over, knocking his head against the wall and planting him on the floor.
Out like a light.

She grabbed her robes and cloak once more and pulled them on, turning off the invisibility, once again physically visible she peered around the pillar, looking for a clear path, or some way to get past these men. What a day indeed. She raised her wrist once more,
"Combat mode 3," She muttered. It was almost like magic, a simple, black little baton appeared in her hand, it didn't look more than two feet long and in her darkly gloved hands it almost looked like it was a part of her. She held it out in front of her, vertically, and waited, a soldier was coming around the pillar, unaware of his fallen comrade, and of the woman still hiding there.

And he wouldn't have realized until he looked, but that would be too late Tow beams of light extended from the baton, solidifying and glowing gently, she jumped out from the pillar and cracked him under the chin with the first shot, next aiming low, for the weak-point in the armor, thrusting it into his hip, which made him double over, only to meet the other end of the staff coming up in a full swing, smashing against t he front of his open helm and forcing him to land flat on his back, completely stunned, probably not conscious anymore either.
"She's over here!" Came a yell, several soldiers closing in on the open space where she stood, the glowing weapons till in hand, held behind her as she looked about. Even her fighting style seemed foreign, which meant she was obviously not one of them. The soldiers of Gastehl were brutish, but effective, concentrating on might over the finesse this woman showed.

He was just as baffled as the soldier had been when the clothes came from behind the pillar. Not having noticed the blue glow he chuckled to himself as the man collapsed behind another piller. Served them right for being such idiots and looking for a fight with an opponent they knew nothing about. He noticed the faint warping of the air when she picked up the robes and hid behind the pillar once more.

Watching the second soldier walk to look behind the pillar she hid behind he flinched at the sound that came from when she cracked him in he jaw, that was definetly broken or disloacked or maybe even both. He turned his head away when she knocked the soldier onto his back, even if he hated the Gastehl soldier he hated fighting and deth even more. Glancing back he saw the man's chest rising and falling under his plate armor. Good, she hadn't killed him which, hopefully, ment she wasn't a threat.

When the soldiers circled her he took the moment to get a closer took at her. He could tell she wasn't from Gastehl so she couldn't be an outlaw from there, and he'd never seen her before so that crossed out her being another Tygan. Maybe she was from another the ocean and has stowed away of a Gastehl ship?

His musings were interrupted by a snarl from one of the war-beasts as it approched the soldiers that had circled the woman. The soldiers' commander walked next to the beast., a sly grin on his scarred face. A few of the men stepped to the side to let the beast and the commander in closer. The remaining soldiers that had still been looking also returned in slowly. The commander took another step closer to the woman and eyed her weapon.
"Now, you'll be coming with us, to come quietly would be the best, and safest option for you." The command had one hand on the hilt of his sword, the other raised in a signal to mave the war beasts back behind them circle of soldiers.

"You are correct.. It would be safer.. For my karma at least.. I would not have to have your deaths hanging over me.." She replied calmly, pointing the staff at the commander and standing more straight, "Leave now, or I will beat you all down." The woman warned, staring at him from under the hood, but it did nothing to intimidate him, in fact, several of the soldiers started laughing. Okay fine, it as true, she looked too small to be dangerous, she was a woman after all, but they were underestimating her because of this. They didn't even care that two of their men had been knocked clean cold, heck they didn't even know one of them was out, just the one on the ground before them,

Two of the knights stepped forward, coming form either side, only half cautiously. What could she do to them? She couldn't possibly stop the both of them rushing to grab her, because that's exactly what they did. It was as if she vanished, atleast for the two that tried ot get her. grabbing thin air and nearly running headlong into each other.
They felt a clomp on both shoulders, she had leapt gracefully into the air with great timing and now used them to stand upon, but not for long. They had time to look up in confusion as she swung her staff down at one, knocking him back then flipped over, bringing her ankle down into the shoulder of the other.

He crumpled under the surprising force of it, his friend stumbling back from the hit to the face. He was stunned, quite literally, the energy form the weapon causing non-lethal paralysis. She hit the ground delicately but leapt at the first man with catlike grace, kicking both ankles into his face. Yes,s he had a penchant for that. The blow sent him bowling backwards and she rolled in the air, landing on her feet calmly once more, spinning the staff gently around her.
She had a confident smile on her face, but she knew if she messed up in any way, she'd be caught.

What worried her most was those war beasts.. She could fix that little problem.. She stopped spinning the weapon and pressed the tip on the armour of one of the downed men. scraping it across the suit. Sparks flew as she did so, leaving a scorch mark on the suit, at the same time making an inhuman noise. Just as she'd hoped, the sensitive hearing of the beast caused it to flinch and begin padding backwards, whining at the sound, some of the men were even disturbed by the noise, covering their ears. She did it again and grinned,
"Looks like your pets are very sensitive.." The woman added with a wry smirk, "If your men cant get me, and your beasts cant, what's the point? Leave, before I'm forced to kill you.."

Another beast hadn't taken very lightly to the sound and had crouched as the woman spoke, a snarl masking the last few of her words as it jumped over the men at towards her back. The man that had been hiding in the bushes stood and drew his bow on instinct, releasing an arrow into the beast's neck before it had even cleared the ground. Well, no time like the present. He though stepping from the bushes as a few soldiers stared at the silver wood of the arrow.

"This could also lead to so nasty politics if I have to tell my superiors you were on Tygan land." He said, noching another arrow. The cammond whipped around to face him, his features clearly suprised. He innocently cocked his head to the side as he looked at the captain who glanced warily from him to the woman to the dead warbeast. When the Tygan gave a devious grin the captain took a step back.
"I guess it's a yes then, since you are in my homeland wihout the permission of my superiors." He looked at the command who raised an eyebrow, the realization he had indeed chased the woman onto Tygan lands was clear on his face. Chuckling he motioned towards the boarder with a dramatic sweep of his arm.

The command motioned to his remaining men who began picking up their fallen companions. The Tygan noticed how the commander looked at the woman and the fallen war beast.
"She's my problom now, and leave the dead one. I'll take care of that one two." He said, the command simply nodded, probably still trying to comprehend the fact one of his war beasts had been killed and the fact that if there was a Tygan so close to him, and the red head's dragon was probably close by also.

The woman had actually anticipated the attacking beast. Stepping back and to the side with a whirl, staff ready, but the monster simply hit the ground with a dull thud and slid along the ground, the sound of its body and the minor plates of protective armour on its hide behind heard clearly. Now that she didn't expect. She stared at the arrow that had been sunk into the back of its skull, right in the neck. What a precise shot..! That anyone could manage something like that with a conventional bow..

That was when she saw him, the one whom had shot the beast. Red hair, definitely different to those of the Gestahl Kingdom. They had a penchant for brown haired folk and darker tones, at least as far as she'd noticed, but still she held her staff up in defence, looking about at the men as they suddenly became quite hesitant, the commander as well. She didn't understand it all but it seemed a lot more promising.. Once they'd picked up their men and begun retreating, the woman held it up in the direction of this new intruder.
Though actually, from what he had been saying, she was the intruder.

She wasn't sure it was clever to turn on him next so he shifted her thumb, hitting the deactivation pressure point on the weapon, the two glowing ends vanished, the black rod then de-materializing from her hand. Her knees shook as if weakening and she fell on the spot, using her hands to steady herself on the ground, panting as before. She was still exhausted, but pushed herself up a little and moved over to the beast, kneeling by its head. They'd left the creature there. She reached for the arrow and plucked it out, it had been in quite deep but she manage, tossing it aside then placing her hands on the woorgen's neck and head,
"I'm sorry.. I didn't want this.." She whispered softly to it, "Sleep now.. And I pray your forgiveness finds its way to them.."

He watched the command and his men leave, only when he was sure they were far enough away did he look back toward the lady and the dead woorgen. He stepped around the beast before crouching next to it, opposite the woman. He ran his hands through its thick fur, he noticed it was short a clear sign t hadn't been eating like it should have been. He touched its shoulder. Noting a scar in the hide that left a missing spot in the fur, that shouldn't have been there if it had been hurt in battle by a sword or an arrow. He grimiced at the though of the beast being punished for something.

Touching close to where he'd hit the beast he sighed and cursed under his breath. He'd shot a little higher up than he'd wanted to, this might not work. Muttering about the condition of the woorgen he ran a hand through his own hair. He put his hands on his knees for a moment before removing his gauntlets to reveal markings carved into the backs on his hands. Setting his gauntlets aside, the Tygan laced his fingers into the bloody fur near the wound.
"Pro addo is bestia nex iam Volo pro is tergum." He mumbled the spell under his breath as he closed his eyes, the marks on his hands giving off a faint magical glow as the wound healed as if the beast was still alive. Opening his eyes once more the Tygan patted the beast's shoulder as he watched its chest rise and fall in the tiniest bit. He'd sensed the tiniest thread of the beast still there even after the soldiers had deemed it dead.

Leaning back he pulled his gauntlets back on even if the skin aroudn the markings appeared burnt. A small smile creased his face as the beast's breathing became deeper and it tensed. Drawing a small knife from his belt he slit the leather riding gear that restrained the beast's chest and began working on the thicker leather that made of the head harness that was used to control the beast. It gave a soft growl and he smiled looking down at it.
"Lets get you back home buddy the professionals can make sure I didn''t hurt you to bad there." He said as if responding to the growl. He glanced over at the girl as he paused in his work on the thick leather.
"You might want to let go," He commented before going back to his work on the leather.

The woman looked up at the man when he knelt on the opposite side. She wanted to say something, she wanted to accuse him of needlessly killing this poor beast, but he looked just as upset about it too, so she only lowered her eyes, finding that astonishment had come to greet her. She watched, silently, curiously, as he healed the wound, the first question in her head was why was he healing a dead animal? The second question was how was he healing it?
This was quickly followed in her head with By the gods, it's alive!

The creature breathed and shifted, the woman moved back, just as advised, partly amazed, partly terrified. What had he done? How had he done that? She'd never witnessed anything like it. There were no records of medical technology this advanced, yet he'd simply healed the creature in a way she could only describe as fantastic. Miraculous even.
She got to her feet and stumbled back a little, leaning back against a pillar. However, now that she thought about it, the soldiers were gone and this man probably didn't have an interest in her, that meant.. She could escape..!

She swept her way around the pillar and down a path but found herself coming to a stop and looking back towards the man and the great wolven creature. She'd been running so long it was all she could think of, but.. Perhaps.. No.. Maybe not.. She lowered her head a little.. If she couldn't trust anyone at all she'd be stuck here forever.
She raised her wrist to her mouth once again,
"Charge level."
17 percent.. Not good.. I can't run forever..

He looked up from the beast when the woman stood and back off, her expression like most people's the first time they saw healing magic. He still had a hand on the beast's neck feeling for its pulse to make sure it was solid and steady. It was and he ran a hand over one of the beast's ears as he watched the woman continue running for a moment then stop and glance back at him. Standing up, he brushed his hands on his pants even though they wern't dirty, dusty or damp.

"Why exactly were those Gastehlmen chasing you?" He asked, clasping his hands behind his back as he walked towards her. She was odd, she'd just been talking to her wrist. He couldn't see anything there, and what was this change level she was speaking of? Maybe it was how much longer until she could use that weapon she'd been using before. He stopped walking closer a decent distance away so she couldn't attack him without have to get closer, unless she had so kind of ranged weapon he was unaware of.

"My appearance offended them." She replied, realizing she didn't look like them. She supposed if she was used to a simple, uniform existence of just her and her own people and some completely different looking person came along, she supposed there would be confusion and concern too, but nothing to this extreme level.. She turned to look at the man, lips pursed for a moment, not wanting to say anything. She didn't know him but he'd at least done a kind thing, healing that creature. She would have just stunned the beast when it attacked.. But still, it all seemed fine now..

His approach made her step back a little, she was still a little untrusting, hard to blame her after all this, but then she had always been warned that underdeveloped planets like this would have some hostility to some-one from outer space, or just someone who was different. These warnings had been proven quite correct with the Gastehl. But this man had claimed to be a Tygan, whatever that meant. She didn't exactly have an idea of the planets current political standings or who was who in all of this.

All she'd really wanted was to get some food and a place to stay. Her ship was on auto-repair, it could take care of itself, but she couldn't stay in it forever. Maybe it was curiosity.. She'd never been on a planet like this, nor had she seen creatures like the woorgen, at least not that large. This planet was beautiful and had a lot of potential in spite of the darker tones of the Gestahl.. It was in the nature of her own people to appreciate beauty where it could be found,
"In truth.. It might be better if I asked you why they chased me.. If it was not obvious already.. I'm not from here.."

"I can see why..." He paused, realizing that could have been very offensive. "N-not in a bad way! He added quickly, his cheeks becoming tinted a soft pink as he realized what he'd just said. "You actually look very pretty." What he'd said was true, she was pretty. He shook that though aside quickly when she spoke once more, getting rid of the option that she was from anywhere he knew of.

The where was she from? He'd read just about everything on other place's cultures that he could get his hands on and how she looked and dressed didn't match anything he'd read about. Maybe she from from some small country acroos the ocean? No, that weapon she'd had out before it would have been known about and he'd somehow have found out about it. He'd have to ask her at some later time, maybe if he could get to know he better she might tell him.

When he realized he hadn't given her a reply to question he brushed his musings aside and looked over at her.
"Isn't it obvious? The Gastehl have stones for head, they hate change. Espically that lord of theirs, the soldiers are like dogs, doing anything that man asks without question." He retorted, his tone clear that he wasn't very fond of the Gastehl. He, like any member of the Tygan people, vividly recalled the last war. Even though he'd been too young to even clearly remember anything during the war, the aftermath was vividly branded into his mind.

His comment on her being pretty made her pause for a moment, not sure how to respond.. She was being complimented by some-one from another world.. She had to process that for a moment but she ended up smiling a little, she hadn't received a compliment form anyone for a long time, probably because she'd been gone for so long, weeks, perhaps over a month. She lowered her head slightly, hiding the blush that threatened to overtake her features. She looked up again, reaching black gloved hands to draw the hood back.

She could be seen far more clearly now, silvery white hair that shimmered a soft blue at certain angles, red eyes, like velvet, the forehead protector she wore was far more complex than it first appeared, the band disappeared under her hair, a black base with white plates, it looked solid. There was a second piece that curved around the back of her head and sat over her ears, it was a wonder she could hear at all. It appeared to be decorated with an oval crystal on either side.
Under the cloak and gown there was a black bodysuit of some kind, but it was all still hidden pretty well.

"You sound like.. You have trouble with them.." She mentioned softly, smiling a little, "I guess we have something in common.. But if I go anywhere near them again I can bet they'd start it all over again.." She frowned a little, lowering her head, "But therein lies the problem.. There is.. Something I need within their bounds and I cant reach it if they keep coming after me like that.. I'm already too tired to try again."

"More trouble than you know." He muttered as he continued to listen... well half-listen. For he was still trying to shake off the thoughs of the Gastehl. He stopped for a moment. What could she need badly enough that she'd have been foolish enought to go into Gastehl territory? No matter what it was, she'd admitted she didn't have the energy to try again. A plan to help her came into his mind, he wasn't sure if it would work, or if she'd even accept his help. Though for some reason he though she would.

Glancing up he frowned, the sun was beginning to decend towards the mountains in the west. He glanced back at the woorgen that was now sitting back on its haunches, looking over towards where the two stood. It's amber eyes calmer and more refined than before when it had been with the soldiers. He smiled at it before looking back towards the woman.

"I don't think you'll be getting in anymore attempts at retreiving whatever your looking for before nightfall. You can come with me, I'm sure the elders will be able to arrange temporary lving quarters for you, if you want to come with that is." He smiled and rubbed the back of his neck, knowing even if she didn't accept the offer he had a long night ahead of him getting the woorgen back with him now that it was his responsibility. He had said he'd take care of it.

She also looked towards the setting sun. If night was coming then she really couldn't go back, yet night cover would be the perfect way to sneak across the border.. But still she was limited by her suits charge level, it needed to rest, so she couldn't go activating the cloak anymore.. It really seemed like she had no choice but to follow after this man. Not that she could complain too much, he was far friendlier than those of Gastehl, though she could only hope the rest of his people were the same.

In the end she was still an outsider. She bowed her head when he offered for her to come with him,
"Thank you.. I accept." She replied, but then looked up, "Where I come from, they call me Varian'Ra Jie'Sarlaan. But please call me Varia." She bowed her head again, "I am pleased to meet you." She added, looking over at the woorgen beast. The creature did seem much more tame now, part of her wanted to go over and stroke it, but it was still a massive creature and one snap could easily dismember her..
She placed her hands together in front of herself and looked about quietly at the ruins. It would have been a shame to fight her too much, it all looked oddly beautiful in its own way. A lost culture that served as memory and history, a monument to what once was.

There was a time she came over similar ruins but they were actually form a more advanced species and of course on an entirely different planet.. The overgrowth had taken it all, there was no power remaining but some of the metal continued to shine beautifully, a reminder of the way it all was once..
"May I ask which way we are going..? Is it far from here?"

Varian'Ra Jie'Sarlaan... that was a mouthful. He smiled when she gave a nickname. Varia, that would certently be easier to say. He looked at the woorgen when she did also, the more he looked at it, the more it looked like a her. Looking back towards Varia, as he now called her in his thoughts and not Lady like he had been for the past few moments, he shook his head.

"We're heading to the Tygan capitol city and no, it isn't very far. Though how long it'll take will depend on if you'd perfer to fly or walk." He awsnered, his thoughts changing to his campanion he'd left in the woods whom he called Tala. What would he think of carrying the woorgen, since there was no way it would last the next day on its own, and there was a small population of woorgens that he knew resided in the capitol. He stopped his mental ramblings when he realized he hadn't even given his own name. He held out a hand towards her.
"I completely forgot, I'm Wren Reingel, call me Wren."

"Well.. That uh.. Depends on the method of flying.." She couldn't believe she was even talking about something like this. How could a world this poorly advanced possibly have flight capabilities already? But then, he'd proven surprising already, healing a dead creature and bringing it back to life was no small feat, perhaps too fantastic.. Hell if she told anyone on her home world they'd say she was imagining things, right before arresting her for breaking dozens of rules in regards to underdeveloped worlds..

The giving of his own name earned him another respectful nod, again she couldn't believe that she was about to say what she did,
"Thank you, Wren, for aiding me.." She smiled, she didn't want to say he saved her, she would have been able to get through that situation but still the help wasn't something she could just snuff at. She Still wondered, though, what did he mean by flying? He certainly had no flying machine nearby that she could see..
It still baffled her.. But she supposed it didn't hurt to gather more information,
"What is the name of the Capitol.. And how exactly will we be.. Well Flying there..?"

Well that should certainly be to the point, but the skeptical look on her face when she asked about the flying.. it was a little plain to see. She knew about flying, which she couldn't lie about now, but she didn't know just how he managed it..

"You're very welcome." He raised an eyebrow to her look. She really wasn't from anywhere he knew of, it was a household fact that the Tygan's had a special bond with the dragons and were the only race that could control them. He glanced back at the woorgen who looked back over at him before standing and walking over. It sat back on its haunches next to Wren and he ran a hand through the short fur on its shoulder since that was what sat next to his head.

"How else would a Tygan like myself get around? We'll be flying by dragon of course!" He gave a clap for a good effect before turning on the heels of his boots and motioning Varia to follow him. "We don't have all day and I'll need to convine Tala to take the woorgen with us, come on Varia!" He called over his shoulder with the woorgen a few steps of it's enormus padded feet. It looked back also and swung its head as if beaconing Varia to come with them.

Oh yeah, that was right, a dragon, how could she possibly be so d-
"A.. A what...?!" The womans face went ashen white, a dragon? An actual dragon? The translator was malfunctioning, or maybe she was just imagining what he'd said, purely to put his world into context with his ability to use magic. But he HAD said Dragon and she wasn't stupid or ignorant enough to deny reality for what it was. The woman walked after him with an odd bounce to each step, mostly cautious, if he really had a dragon she would have to be extra careful..

She'd heard stories of such creatures, used in dozens of ancient literature. In fact many worlds had stories of old fire-breathing demons that would roam the sky. It was one of the universes great mysteries, like how all worlds had their own version of what was known on her world as Il'lin Ka, or ultimately; meat and potatoes.
She stopped next to the woorgen for a moment, looking up at it, the beast seemed more calm now that she was up close to it.. She smiled softly, but kept her distance for the time being, eventually finding herself next to Wren and looking aside to him,
"You did.. Say a dragon, right..? I just.. Its.. Well where I am from they're.. Not supposed to be real.." She admitted, giving him the same skeptical stare. She couldn't believe she was witnessing two myths at once.. His magic and now she'd see an actual, living dragon. No-one at home would ever believe her.. At all..

He just looked at her blankly, in a place that didn't have dragons? He couldn't even imagine not waking up to the rumbling breathing of the dragons that lived outside, or the constant wind that was created by the enormus beasts taking off and landing on the mountainside that the capitol city was built right below.
"Yes, I did say dragon." He replied, shaking the awestruck expression from his face. "You probably don't know how to act around a dragonf or the first time. The most important thing when approching is eye-contact. Wait until the dragon breaks contact and you should be good. Other than that, don't touch them. Hold your hand just over them-" He gave an example by holding out an arm and having his hand hover just over it. "like my example, and they should moved into your hand. If they do, they trust you not to harm them." He began walking backwards at that point to make sure the woorgen was still following them, it was. Its dark ash colored fur making its edges fading into the dense foliage.

With a nod to the woorgen he walked normally and gave a soft whistle. The forest around them rumbled and Wren continued to walk even though an enormous forest green shape up ahead had begun moving. Leathery wings pulled themselves away from the sides to reveal the silvery armour that the dragon wore over its joints and neck. Its decorationless tail flicked back and forth in the grass as the beast stood up all the way and turned to face towards them. Wren stepped into the small clearing and the dragon instently lowered its head. Its ears perked up behidn its ram styled horns as it nuzzled Wren in the chest.
"Tala, behave. We have guests we'll be bringing home." His tone was stern as he placed a hand on the dragon's snout and held his companion's gaze for a moment before she lifted her head back up and nodded before laying back down.

Well that was useful at least, her first lesson in meeting a dragon.. This was entirely normal..! Yes she didn't believe that either, but she swallowed a little and watched as he demonstrated how to make the dragon trust her. She would not neglect this lesson for fear of angering a mythical beast. But that hit her again pretty hard. She was going to be face to face with a mythical beast!
All the same it was a realization she just could not argue with. To find out that there were still so many wondrous things to discover, it was both terrifying and amazing to her.

She froze the moment the undergrowth seemed to move ahead of them. She needed to find this eye contact he was talking about. She did not want to risk a simple mistaken glance being the result of her being attacked by a dragon, that would be a really really poor way to die.
Once she was finally face-to-face with the Dragon she could only stare, rather breathless, at the dragon, what had he said? eye contact, right? she focused on the eyes. She was trained to deal with dangerous situations, after all, it was what she was.. She slowly, calmly, got in place and held out her hand, still nervous, but she wouldn't run or freak out. It was moments like this that she lived for.

If it really could sense if she wanted to harm it, then it certainly would sense no such thing. Life was sacred, the harm or elimination of it was against her own code of honor. She couldn't even kill without praying to her gods for forgiveness, and even after a battle it was ritualized, she had to pray for forgiveness and pray that those she had slain would forgive her. Even those killed as a direct result of her presence or actions.
But life wasn't just going to let you smile and pass by. No, her people knew how to defend themselves and in the utmost extreme cases, even go to war..
But even with all of this running through her mind she prayed at the back of it..

The dragon looked at her from its laying position. Lifting its head the dragon held he gaze and stood back up. Tala, as the dragon was aparently called by Wren, lowered her head down to meet this unfarmilar person's gaze. With the edge of her snout just inches from Varia, Tala gave a snort from her nostrols and nuzzled her open hand and closed her eyes, breaking the gaze. After a moment the dragon opened her eyes once more and lifted her head back up, her eyes watching Wren this time.

The Tygan grinned over at her from a distance. With a nod towards Varia he looked back up at the dragon, he held up a hand and the dragon took a step back and laid down in the grass once more. Wren nodded and turned on his heel to go get the woorgen. He was gone for only a moment and came back with a hand on one of its massive shoulders. The dragon gave off a growl and Wren shook his head.
"We're taking the woorgen with us Tala, no arguing." The dragon snorted once more and set her head down in the grass, much like a sulking child when they don't get a toy. He shook his head and patted the woorgen on the shoulder. Looking over at Varia he motioned for her to come join him as Tala lifted her head up a little and foldedd her wings back up against her body.

Varia smiled a little, brushing the smooth glove along the snout of the dragon, but didn't do anything sudden, when it drew away form her she continued to stare at the creature in amazement, mouth partly open. She couldn't say she hadn't been awed by something like this for a long time because seeing this world and the way it was situated was beautiful in itself, but to imagine that something so magnificent was actually real, and alive, right here before her, to have touched it..
And he spoke to the dragon in quite a simple manner, it must have been quite intelligent to understand simple conversation.

She looked back at Wren and the Woorgen, making his way over, she recognized similar beckoning motions from many worlds, but still she wondered what he needed her for. She was essentially clueless in terms of handling any creatures like these. Except for warding them off, that she was good at. But this obviously was not what he wanted her for so she supposed she'd have to wait for some kind of instruction.
If anything she'd never really dealt with any kinds of pets or animals, always being in places where they were no use or would get in her way, or they simply just weren't allowed, her lifestyle had gone the path of a warrior, she dealt with machines and technology, not flora and fauna, so it was only natural.

Turning from Varia, he held out a hand in a motion for the woorgen to stay where it did. After a moment it sat on its haunches, its amber eyes following Wren as he strode towards the laying dragon. Standing where he was, Wren was only to the thick scale covered his that covered the dragon's lower bicep. Gripping the hand holds that had been crafted into the edge of the armored should guard he hoisted himself up off the ground.

Wren was suprising graceful hoisting himself up. Though it was only natural for him, he'd been doing this his entire life. Well, ever since he'd been able to hold eye contact and pull himself up onto a dragon's back he'd been learning for when he had his own dragon. Stopping near to top of the dragon's shoulder, a good twelve feet off the ground, he twisted around so his heels balanced on the hand holds. He looked over towards the woorgen, still sitting were it was, then towards Varia. Motioning for her to come over towards the dragon he looked up at the sun, they were cutting it close.
"Come on Varia! I'll help you up! There's more than enough room for the two of us." There was something in his tone that seemed more serious than he'd been before, something was making him and his dragon a little wary.

Varia followed quietly after Wren, watching his actions, waiting until she had some indication of what to do, well that was until he motioned for her to climb up, though mentioning that he'd help her made her smile a little as she looked at the relative eight from the ground. She had spent enough time on this world to get used to the gravity, running, dodging, jumping, it was all a little easier here. She stepped back softly but then made a quicker step forward, leaning down but then pushing off the ground and leaping the distance up onto the dragons back with great ease.

She landed on the area just behind Wren, lowering herself softly and sitting in a similar fashion, then reached forward, grasping her hands softly around Wren, though she imagined she'd be holding tighter soon. She was thrilled, internally, about to experience something that girls from her world could only dream of, riding on the back of a true-to-life dragon, a mythical beast.. And she'd also have a couple of interesting things in her advantage.
She had her arms around a rather cute guy, and in her position she could actually share some warmth with him, though it would be more him keeping her warm. She couldn't say it out loud but it was an action of intimacy on her world, however she'd understood some cultures simply did this to share a ride for the thrill of it, show trust between the driver and the passenger..

She looked aside to the woorgen, smiling a little. This would all be quite interesting indeed, she couldn't wait ot see more of this world. The better world of these.. Tygans...
