Yeah where was that again? Chicago? I dunno sometimes I wonder if there should be like a time cap on how long you can be a cop, not only for their sanity but for there spouses nerves, then maybe after like a five year break they could go back.

The only thing there is what would they do in those five years? Getting jobs is so hard and the training to be a cop is quite focused. I don't know that it could easily be transferred to a field that was any less disturbing.

Most people know if they can handle it, though, and leave on their own time. It's like being a mortician--they do it as long as they can stomach it.

yeah there are a few jobs I could not do for any long period of time. One of my friends is in a nursing school and was talking about the cadavers she had to work on *bleh* I could barely stand hearing about it let alone working on one

Yeah, I'm not meant for the medical field, either. I can deal with hearing about nasty stuff (which I guess is why I can deal with psychology) but actually seeing it. Mm. Don't know about that. And I don't want to touch bodies all the time for any reason. It's not my cup of tea.

I have this one guy on facebook who posted a picture of the dead cat they were dissecting in his premed class. That was..."classy." XD Bad pun.

like it cuts in and out and even if you reset the connection it still does it?

Sometimes it's just Mene that does that, too. I've had a couple instances where I couldn't post at all but others could and it wasn't internet related.

well you can run a diagnostic ping to figure out if it's Mene or the computer or the modem.

My parents would probably do that, too, if they had a facebook. But, as it is, all I see is people whining or bragging.

Or parents embarrassing there kids I've seen a lot of that on the news, if it's considered "child abuse" to punish them that way

Yeah, it was one of those errors with Chrome. I haven't tried to reset my connection. Don't feel like it yet.
But, I did switch over to FF for a little bit to see if things will work with it.

I like having a Facebook to keep in contact with family... If anyone bothers to contact me.
I'm still a bit irked with my family with stuff.

Diagnostic ping?

well I have Vista so it may be different for you but if you go under connection settings there should be an option for you to send out a ping (like a "hey are you responding") to several different places so that it can figure out exactly what isn't responding and where the break in the connection is.

I like seeing updates from my family, but that's about it. I've been seriously considering just deactivating my facebook, lately. It's worthless.

I didn't have a test that I thought I was supposed to have today, so that's good. I was not prepared for it.

Yes, I definitely needed that bout of luck. I just hope I can figure the stuff out better. Part of the reason I wasn't prepared was because of how hard I found the material to understand/study.
