How the Grinch Stole the Avatar Contest!

How I made the Grinch miserable (AKA happy):
That cranky old Grinch, how hated the noise
Made by those sweet little Who girls and boys!
But one little Who girl they called Cindy Lou
Thought maybe, just maybe she knew what to do.
"Perhaps all his anger is from feeling left out!"
And the plan that she formed then and there left no doubt
That she'd finally found the secret to make him join in
And replace that sour-puss face with a grin!
A sure-fire way to make the Grinch merry...
"In the Nutcracker, I'll cast him as the Sugar Plum Fairy!"
So up to his cave at the top of Mount Crumpet,
went small Cindy Lou, just as brass as a trumpet.
She knocked on his door and she told him his part
But he stuck out his tongue with a sound like a fart.
"I'd sooner eat dirt!" he said with a heave
But sweet Cindy Lou gave a tug on his sleeve.
"Ya know, you'd be famous..." she said, sounding sly,
And pausing, the Grinch turned with a glint in his eye.
"Famous, you say?" his mouth gave a twitch
As he imagined hundreds of cheering fans, making him rich!
So the Grinch agreed to be in her play,
A famous (and magical) Christmas ballet.
But one little detail she forgot to mention...
Was the costume he'd wear to earn that attention!
