so i'm like 50% sure I broke my toe--at the very least putting any pressure on that foot hurts--a lot with a mixture of numbness and pain on the affected toe

Really, all a doctor will do is xray the toe ($$) and put a splint on it to keep you from bending it. You could probably find something to splint it yourself and save yourself a doctor appointment.

I waited for the bleeding to stop, cleaned it, put a sock on, and then put my foot in a sneaker. Not so tight that its adding pressure, but tight enough it doesn't move around.

Usually when you break a digit and there is an open wound involved, they like to have you take an antibiotic to prevent a possible infection occurring in the bone.
Make sure to keep it clean and apply antibiotic ointment if you don't go to the doctor.

Eh...I guess that's reasonable, unfortunately its an absolute madhouse out there so I'm probably not going to be able to see a doctor til next week.

we have some prep and i have a go-bag and a milk crate of food and some drinks already in the car.

I've never been in a hurricane, so I don't know what to do in that situation...

i've mostly only been in tropical storms, but this one is supposed to be a real hard hitter, so i'm being cautious.

on the note of packing and stuff, i think i have all the important things now, i'm probably forgetting something, but what can you do? i can't fit everything into a couple bags and the car and still have food, water, gas, etc :gonk:

I wouldn't risk it. Get in the car and head north west away from the coast.

Yes I'm fine I've just been super busy catching up on stuff I couldn't do on an injured foot.
