Too bad the event is almost over.
It was fun while it lasted.

Wasn't it though?
But we've still got a few hours.
About four and a half.
What was your favorite event item?

@ Anna ::

Have any good stories?

My dears, it's no longer being called "cheap". It's being "frugal", and conscientious.

@ Popcorn - Yeah, got plenty of time. :)
I'm not sure if I have a favorite.
I do love the chickies, though. :drool:

How about you?

The background is nice too, but I think it would be nice if they had another one without the carrot patch.

I like the way the grass around the feet merges in with the carrot patch.
You really can't see too much of the carrot patch generally.

I like how the patch fits so nicely with the ring of mushrooms/toadstools from the sprite item.

Sorry I went poof.
I had to go take a shower, and clean up.

@ Granny J ::

It's not called being frugal if it causes harm.

@ Suona ::

Me too!
The chickies are so adorable to me.
Next in line is the On the Farm backgrounds.
They're pretty nifty.

@ Anna ::

Yes!
Ugh. Our whole house.
We moved recently (like a year or two ago) and it was an old house that he used to visit as a child.
So he bought it and all the crap that was inside.
It was a nightmare to clean out.

I'm quite tired, but I'm over at a friend's house watching her dogs while she'd out of town for the day. I want to lay down, but I'm afraid the HUGE Great Dane may want to lay down with me if I do. XD

It's neither frugality nor "cheap" if it causes harm... that would fit the parameters for negligence.

The house was one of those ones that the state takes claim to.
The old owners had died and all, so my dad bought the house.
It had memories AND it was cheap!
x' D

So he bought it, and we had to wash everything, clean out all the crap, paint walls, and tile floors.
All that jazz.
And the house still isn't where my mom wants it to be, but it's liveable now.
x' D

edit ::

@ Elmira ::

Nothing serious. Just me being a little lazy.
But oh my gosh!
We really need to clean out our cabinets more.
That was bad.

We already moved in.

But I tell ya, all the prep work was a pain.
We recently put down tile in the den, and even more recently painted the walls in there.
I really like the color.
It's kind of like a deep olive.

Yeah, it was a big change at first.
I had been in one house all my life.
We left behind a lot.
All the little marks on the door frame, from when our parents measured our height.
And so many other good memories.
The last day we spent cleaning out the house, there was a lot of reminesing(sp?) done.
But I like the new house now.
We've been in it for a while, and here I get my own room!

Many people like to put their own mark on a home.
It's difficult to leave old memories behind, but you'll make many more memories in your new place, Popcorn!

So true! We moved a lot when I was a kid. We've been in this house for 9 years, and I'm thinking of moving to a smaller place. Too big and expensive and in need of too much work. I think that Lily would like a change as well. It's never easy to move, but there are times when it's necessary and winds up being the best choice. Did you move far from your old home or do you know a lot of people in the new area?
