Name- Krystal Midon
Gender- Female
Age- 23
Species- Crystal Fairy
Appearance- Krystal has dark green skin with white swirls all over it resembling green jade.. Her eyes are a light yellowish brown resembling topaz or carnelian. She also has wings made of amber, they are shaped like crystal spars. Her hair is a dirty blond that doesn't quite reach her shoulders. Another major feature is her larger than normal ears. They are elf like and pointed, the under side of them is thin jagged and sharp.

Personality- Krystal is a very quiet and gentle young woman. She is dedicated, loyal, and sometimes selfless trying to put the good of all before her own needs. She is quite smart since most of her life this far has been spent studying. Krystal's not athletic in that outgoing and competing sense but she is very fit and loves to perform ceremonial, ritual and religious dance.

Most of Krystal's time is spent studying so she can learn stronger magics and live up to her family name. She doesn't socialize much outside of other magic workers around her age or those studying the same magics as her. When she does meet other's Krystal is fairly friendly and enjoys in depth conversations. Left to her own devices Krystal prefers to quietly read either for pleasure or in study.

Personal History-
Krystal is the the youngest of three children in her family. Her older brothers, are both competent magic fighters, her father is a tailor and her mother a teacher. In the small crystal fairy colony in which she grew up Krystal was a middle class citizen who lived a fairly simple and normal life.

At six she began attending school , learning the basic principles of reading, writing and math. At ten she began taking introductory to crystal magic classes where she learned to harness the power of crystal and use them as focuses and catalysts. Her magic wasn't very strong yet and she also continued to learn practical skills so that she could also pursue a career outside of mage if she wished as well as so she could learn the basics needed to survive on one's own.

When she was eighteen Krystal chose to go the academy a place where those interested in studying and advancing crystal magic could earn degrees and be given access to many crystals not available to the public. Krystal has spent five years there so far fine tuning her magical abilities and working in the division of crystal based summoning.

Name- Theo of Macland
Gender- Male
Age- 18
Appearance- Theo resembles an anthropomorphic cross between a fox and cat. His body is covered in white fur with purple tips to here fingers toes ears and they. There are also purple fanglike marks under his eyes. On each of his ears is a small silver hoop earing.

Despite being mostly animal like Theo goes have human like hair. His hair is black, thick and long . Normally it's back in a wrapped ponytail to keep it under control

Personality- Theo is an an energetic and cheerful young man. Still young he's very childish at times and prone to practical jokes and immature comments that get him into trouble. He runs with a crowd his age and tends to think of responsibility as thing for other people.

Personal History- Theo is the only child in his family. He was raised his parents and the rest of his clan so he never lacked others to play with. Cousins, aunts and uncles were always around to talk to and offer him wisdom when he needed it. Life was a journey and one that he never felt he needed to try and take alone.

Sae: Theo finds the hyper demon to be amusing and is the most likeable person he's met so far. Krystal like Sae but would like to get to know them better before making final judgment.
Rebbecca: Theo doesn't have much of an opinion on this woman. Krystal would like to get to know her better and is greatful that she
Hanna: Theo and Kyrstal have no real opinion on Hanna yet.

Roleplay post

How it all began

Theo was bored out of his mind, he paced back and forth within the confines of room. The bland boring room that seemed bent on helping drive him mad. The walls were stone bricks, cold gray and smooth to the touch. They would hold him, his claws would have no effect on their surface and his muscles were not strong enough to push him through stone.

Two of the walls hosted torches that dimly lit Theo's cell. Not that he needed them, night vision was a skin his people had honed lone ago. A Good throwback to the old days. Not like Malsar. Malsar, damn the six gods but he hated Malsar. It reminded him that he was no better than a beast at tomes, chained to his hormones and genetic history. Malsar was a rut, a need to mate and it was an overwhelming one at that. A leftover feature from the time when the species walks on all fours and were no better than the animals they now hunted and killed for food.

Twice before in his life Theo had experience Malsar. Twice he had been locked away after showing he could not yet control himself around others when the rut filled him. Females were prizes to be hunted and males , even best frights were threats to be fought off. Unable to remain civil it was customary for clan member to be segregated until their Malsar was over.

It was going to be a long two weeks and Theo was not looking forwar-

Suddenly the floor beneath him shifted, strange blue lines of light appeared and criss crossed under his feet. Theo then tried to get away only to find a circle of light trapped him and the lines withing it. The light grew bright and Theo squeezed his eyes shut against the light. His fur prickled as if filled with static and reflexively he extended his laws Something was not right and he wrapped his tail around himself as a measure of comfort.

Then it was as if he was falling , tumbling unable to stop himself or grab onto anything solid. The floor was gone he could not fell it under his feet and he dared not open his eyes to see why. A second later, a moment later, an eternity later The could feet ground again. It wasn't then same though. It felt warm beneath his pawpads. Everything smelled earthy and fresh, Theo was outside.

Confused, Theo tentatively raised his eyelids , what he saw served only to further confuse him. The lines were gone, the circle too. In their space and in place of his cell was a huge circular grassy clearing ringed with tall trees he had never seen before. He'd also never before seen anything like the female that was standing only a few feet away from him. She seemed nervous and yet he could smell contentment on her.

She was strange. Green skinned, green with white swirls. Tawny hair and .. wings? It made no sense. She was strange and odd and she didn't smell right. Not right but ok,... enough. A feral grin spread across Theo face and a look of shock and surprise blossomed on the females as he lunged for her.

She was responsible for his being here and Theo would make sure she reaped her punishment and his own reward.

The new maternity clinic was finally finished. The new building stood proudly on a hill overlooking a whole town with the sea in the distance. Eventually, people could live in this town, but for now it was empty save a couple and their daughter. This place was a dimension of its own which Sae had inherieted from her grandmother as a child. It was the perfect place for a clinic.

Rebecca was one of many species that resided on Menewsha, though she looked human and Sae came from the underworld connected to Menesha, she was a demon. And so, though the clinic was not on Menewsha, they named it the Menewshan Maternity clinc.

Anyone in need their clinic would find themselves transported into the courtyard.

Sae had already found pictures of the arriving parents, a spell automatically sent them to the clinic, so that Sae and Rebecca would know when some one was coming and who they were.

Now ll they had to do was wait for the first two couples to arrive.

Something was shimmering in the corner of the yard. Well, it wasn't a yard exactly, but Hannah liked to think of it as one. She lived with her little brother Joey and good friend Oscar in a trailer park outside the capital, and this field was the only bit of nature she could see without asking them to drive her to the park. Technically, it was the future home of at least half a dozen more trailers, but they weren't here yet, so a yard it would remain for the time being.

"Hey!" Hannah shouted. Maybe the shimmering was alive. She started jogging toward it, and a few moments later she heard footsteps pattering after her. She stopped and so did they. The shimmering thing was larger now, more the size of a large dog or a crouching human.

"What's wrong?" Oscar asked. He had been hovering ever since she had told him their big news, so naturally he had taken some initiative and followed her. It was nice he was so obedient without even knowing that she expected it.

Hannah grabbed his hand. "Come see," she said, and suddenly she rushed forward until her free hand touched the shimmer. A bright light sparked around the pair, and they disappeared.

Oscar knew not five seconds after they arrived outside the clinic that it was not someplace he wanted to be. First of all, it wasn't where they had been five seconds ago, and on top of that, there were other people there that he was sure were going to expect him to converse with them.

"Hey," Hannah said, dropping Oscar's hand and waving at Rebecca, Sae, and the little pink-haired girl. She couldn't explain why, but she somehow felt a great deal more serene here than she did at home. "Where are we?"

Rebecca sighed and rolled her eyes, "Sae, they're right there. I can see them perefectly well without you shouting about it."

"I'm so glad to see you", The pink-haired demon called out practically bouncing, the baby giggling in response to her happiness.

Rebecca rolled her eyes again. "Sae, they asked you a question."

"Hm?"

She shook her head, turned to the couple and motioned at the sign behind her. "We're a special maternity clinic for different circumstances. I'm here to make sure everything goes well with the pregnancy and that your child grows up healthy. I'm trained in medicine and will act as a doctor when needed. I can't explain why Sae's here though."

Sae made a face at her.

"This place you see has its own special dimension. Parents who belong to this clinic from across Menewsha, or even from other worlds can gather here. You are the first couple."

Four days, Kyrstal had been trapped in this strange world for four days with that bastard beast who'd .. who'd. She wasn't going to think about it she was just going to finish making a snack and then work on another plan to get home. Not that she trusted her skills anymore at this point. They landed her first with HIM and then here when she'd tried to send him back.

Theo was no happier, outside the small shack they'd been sharing he'd been up a tree stripping the bark out it in irritation. His life was not going according to plan. He wanted to go home, he wanted to get away from that crazy woman and forget all about what had happened during his last Malsar.

A minute later the pair found themselves in the courtyard staring at several strangers. Theo now on on stomach on the ground growled " Gods be damned girl what the hell did you do now."

Krystal was silent, this wasn't her doing and she wasn't even sure what was going on. At least some of the strangers were odd like them so they were less likely to be stared at oddly.

"Welcome", an excited-looking female demon rushed up to the newly appeared 'couple'. "This is the Menewshan Maternity clinic. I 'm Sae and this is--"

Rebecca sighed and shoved a hand over Sae's mouth. "Let's not repeat it. These people are late, they can figure things out for themselves. I don't want to go through the whole damn thing again." She looked at the couple critcially and then with distaste.

Sae sighed,"Oh Becca . . ."

Slowly Theo climbed to his feet and dusted himself off with his hands and tail. He then shot glares at everyone in the courtyard though centered his gaze on Krystal " ... This is YOUR fault." He wasn't totally sure what was going on here but he had an idea and if he was correct his life was about to get that much more complicated.

Sae blinked looking confused and then giggled, "Why for the baby of course!"

"You're pregnant", Rebecca added bluntly and stared at the cat-creature assuming that he must be the one pregnant after his outburst.

Oscar and Hannah both jumped slightly as two more people... animal... things appeared out of nowhere. They inched forward, Hannah out of curiosity and Oscar in an attempt to protect her. He would have chalked this whole situation up to being yet another dream or just some sort of bad trip if these other two hadn't seemed so put out by the whole situation.

"See? I told you I was having a baby," Hannah whispered over her shoulder. At least now she wouldn't have to worry about seeing a Menewshan doctor, since this woman had offered and all.

"I never said I didn't believe you," Oscar replied, in an even lower voice.

Hannah turned and addressed Theo and Krystal. "Congratulations!" she said sunnily, despite the fact that the fairy and cat-dude didn't seem to be in the least bit excited.

Theo groaned , he was right and now he was stuck with the annoying female. Wonderfull. He eyes the person who'd congratulated them " thank you" his tone was cool but polite.

Sae averted her eyes and turned away. Her back hand moved across her face, removing unwanted tears. "Not in front of the baby". Her voice took on a snappish quality that had not been there before and did not suit her. When she turned back she looked furious and Rebecca was mommentarily taken aback.

"She loves me", Rebecca reminded herself. It was a mistake, but she doesn't regret it and can't stand when I do. Sae had never snapped at her before.

Oscar rested a hand on Hannah's shoulder in warning. Maybe now wasn't the best time to be so visibly happy about her little mistake. It was one thing to be congratulatory and overshare with people who were excited to be bringing a child into the world, but no one here seemed to be feel more than regret over their "accidents," at least at the moment.

Frankly, Oscar himself was hardly registering anything other than anxiety over what exactly it meant to be in this strange, empty dimension. Was time continuing as normal back home? If so, he might have been wise to start thinking about a plausible place he and Hannah might have run off to, in case Joey had returned home from the hardware store.

He cleared his throat, taking the opportunity to bring up his concern since the other woman had talked of leaving. "Yes, how do we get home from here?"

Sae turned towards Oscar. "I'll send you home now. If you need us, you'll find your way back, don't worry.

Sae handed him a picture.



"I've got a copy on file. The next one will be of the infant. Don't worry, we don't stalk you. These appear here automatically."

He knew they ate different, were less active and more cranky but that was about it.

Looking at Krystal he wondered vaughly what on earth child they'd end up producing. He was amazed that their different species could breed at all.

Kyrstal was shocked, Theo cared? Was even remotely interested in this? She smiled a bit. " I would appreciate some knowledge that all was going well."

Rebecca smiled slightly, "That would be me. I've been trained in the medical arts". She said adding a flourish to her correct title as a doctor.

Sae looked at Rebecca fondly, "Becca's good at what she does." She indicated to her bandaged hand. "This hand was broken a little while ago, but now it will move a bit!"

"Now Sae", Rebecca scolded. "Don't mislead them. You're a demon, you heal fast."

In the back of her mind Krystal had the thought that she should should figure some of this out before any child was born. children were notoriously bad for getting hurt.

Theo eyed the one named Sae, she seemed decent enough, humorous almost at times. " Nothing wrong with a bit of demon blood in you" He said dryly.

"It sounds sweet", Sae piped up.

"No, it sounds unprofessional".

Sae just giggled in response. She then turned to adress Theo, "Just a bit". She winked and gestured to the long curling horns on the back of her head.

That.. woman that brought me to her world and now to here is pregnant. I am now tied to her with no way out. Even if I could find a way home I couldn't in good conscious go. I want to go home, I belong at home and I'm too damned young to be a father. By the six gods I'm too young for it but I have to deal it it.

I know nothing about children of course, they are a females prerogative, even if i had been interested,m which i wasn't, woman in our tribe hold the secrets of their child bearing days. they speak only to others females about it so how could I know anything? this is not going to be easy. Still I will do my best.

As for the mother.. For Krystal. I still dislike her and blame her for this disaster. her arrogance and recklessness put us in this situation. I will however not be cruel to her because she too is suffering. I do not think we will make a good force of combined parents. we will not show a loving family but we will persevere somehow.

p.s I should look into talking to those other parents. they seemed less worried about this baby business.

Life goes on


Kyrstal sighed and rubbed at her left eye with a free hand. It was irritated and itchy from cutting onions for her sandwich. Normally she resorted to cutting them underwater these days but she just didn't have the spare time to fill the sink then cut the onion and clean up afterwards. It was much easier just to peel and slice.


Most if the Crystal fairies time these days was devoted to preparing the nursery room in the small shack she and Theo shared. It wasn't much but it would be cosy and was the best they could afford.

For now Krystal relied on Theo for support. the owner of the shack had him doing odd jobs, mostly heavy labour to pay for their right to live there. After the baby was born Krystal would join him as often as she could, if she could find someone to watch their child. Though Kyrstal was partly glad that Theo was gone all day , it made avoiding awkward moments between them easier.

Finished the sandwich preparation and clean up Krystal leaned against the marble counter and bit into her sandwich. She was much was much hungrier theses days, eating for two. Placing a hand on her stomach she smiled and continued to while wondering if she would have a boy or a girl.

Either way the child was in for a strange up bringing with a strange family.

Krystal sat at the kitchen tabled and wrote slowly into a small dark blue notebook. Wrapped in a towel beside her the object of her journal entry remained silent and immobile.

October 15th 2007

Life has been interesting to say the least. I have felt no changes in the state of my pregnancy but perhaps I can say maternal instinct came into play. Theo says I'm just attracted to shiny things but what does he know, he's just an immature boy

Anyway, I was out on my walk into town for some food supplies when I noticed this strange store. I'm not sure if it was there before and I'd missed it or if like us it has sprouted up overnight. Either way, it was on the way to the grocery store so I left it be and decided I'd stop back in if i didn't feel too tired after shopping.

Naturally I went back later and was pleasantly surprised. I met an interesting person and an interesting.. Beat I believe it was called. that was certainly an experience I won't forget. In the end I ended up receiving a Beat egg of my own. I wasn't entirely sure I needed another responsibility but then again these beings are special. Even if Theo says the egg looks strange and smells off. At least he didn't yell at me for brining back another mouth to feed instead of more food.

Hatchling

Theo drummed his claws on the kitchen table and Stared at the egg that also rested on it. Nestled in A white towel it's colours stood out even more. Green fading into a dark blue then purple and finally a rich crimson top. Theo had no clue what would come from the egg but if it was half as colourful it'd be an eyesore for sure.

" Your su-"

"For the last time yes I'm sure it's fine I can hear it moving around plenty in there" Theo cut off Krystal and sighed as he looked at her. " It will be fine much like you. I'm certain of it." This was as close to reassuring and compassionate as Theo could be.

Krystal just shook her head but smiled softly. She could tell he was trying. It was better than nothing. Massaging her swelling stomach she walked away from the counter and sat at the table opposite Theo.

The egg between them as if in reaction to the shivered a bit appearing to vibrate. Cracks began to appear in the shell and before either adult could react It burst apart leaving behind a slightly wet looking..

" Oh great another fairy" Theo muttered eyeing the young thing with something less than pleasure. It did resemble it's egg to a degree though the lack of as much colour was simply switched for antenna, some sort of forehead jewel and wings. Shaking his head Theo just sighed. He had the worst luck.

In far happier mood Krystal smiled and picked up the young Beat. " Come along little Melo I'll get clean and then we can go to town." Although she was nervous Melo's appearance soothed Krystal a bit and gave her hope that she could raise him right.

Welcome to the world

Theo paced back and forth outside the shack, Mello cradled in his arms. The two males were decidedly not invited to what was going on inside. Inside where Krystal was, if Theo's hearing was correct, having something of a hard time giving birth. Of course Theo wasn't certain what it was supposed to sound like but he doubted that that much cursing and groaning was supposed to be involved.

He prayed to the six gods that everything was ok, he prayed that Krystal did not suffer too much and that his child was born healthy. For all he was not ready for this Theo did not know what he would do if it was.. no he would not think that way.

Instead he would comfort Mellow who refused to be on the ground at the moment and who would say nothing more than Kyrstal's name over and over again. Theo accredited this to his being there when the went into labour.

It had been the small fairy beat summoning him that Had let Theo know he had to get the local midwife they'd decided to use.Now there was nothing the two could do but wait.


It was hours later when Theo, leaning against the wall looked up to see the midwife in the door smiling at him. Your Wife and son are both fine and resting"

Theo was so relieved he didn't bother to correct the woman. He just stood and holding a now sleeping Mello he went inside to see for himself how his family was doing.

Dear journal

Life is not as hard and yet not as easy as I expected it to be. The birth oh it was worse than any had ever described to me. I had never known such pain and for all that I love Tavin I pray I never need to know it again. there are some things that I am simply not meant to handle.

On the other hand all the horror stories of babies being up at all hours, or demanding wails and close calls with accidental magic mean nothing. Provided he has something warm to snuggle into Tavin sleeps through the night. A heated water bottle wrapped in a towel allows me a full nights rest. Tavin does demand food periodically throughout the day but it's not the hardship i thought it would be. Though admittedly breastfeeding has been awkward and Theo automatically leaves the room and takes Melo with him when I do.

Melo is adapting well to all of this, he seems to be very helpful full bringing his brother bottles and me anything I ask for. I worry that he feels like he was replaced, what with both of them being born so close togeather. Still he's shown no signs of jealousy yet and has generally been a cheery little thing.

He's a bit upset that the snow makes it too cold for him to try flying. Melo doesn't even really go outside much though if supremly bore he'll start to make a snowman before returning and begging for hot chocolate.

Theo.. Theo still hates me I think, he cares for Tavin i can see it in his eyes. He tolerates Melo and me. I can't undo what happened between us but i wish I could make him try and understand that simply passing Tavin back and forth between us won;t do anyoen any good.

I'm hoping for some improvement in the new year

Dear Journal

A new year has begun though not much has changed. Tavin eats solider foods now and spends less time sleeping and more time crawling about. Melo walks along beside him and is as good a sibling as one can be for all they share no actually blood or relations.

I must make these entry short as winter is still upon us and i have much work to do. I need to cut more wood and so other chores for our landlord to keep my family fed.
