Poseidon looked at the slave man and pulled out some money, "well?"

Rosemma smiled hopefully, "Then I wanna come with you"

She smiled at the little girl.
"And what is your name? I'm Anastasia."
She said this as she waved down the man in charge o this cute child.

Rosemary's master, just coming around, jumped up at the sight of the money.he was a poor man, and that amount was more than he had ever seen before."sold! Good luck, she's your headache now!" he said, and handed Poseidon the key to her cage.Rose watched the exchange in disgust. "What a pig.the man would sell his own wife if he had one."

Poseidon unlocked the cage, trying to hide his amusement and agreement with what she said.

"I'm Rosemma," Rosemma said, "But people call me Rosie"

Rosemma's master walked over, "yes?"

Gemini stood up and walked slowly out of the cage.despite her small stature and the fact that she was so thin she looked like a strong wind could blow her away, she had a graceful, assured gait.chibi followed her.she turned to look at the slave who had addressed her."what was it you wanted?" She asked coolly.

Poseidon looked at Ardener curiously, studying him, and remembering how he had stepped between him and Rosemary, well, he must be brave he thought, though what he thinks I'm going to do I don't know

Rose sighed."I guess im not getting an answer.well, what are you going to do with me now, master?" She asked, emphasizing his title.chibi flew around Poseidon, stirring up a breeze that circled the god.

"you don't need to call me that" Poseidon looked around him, "Okay, so what or who is with you that I can't see? I can sense a presence, even when it/he/she whatever isn't making wind blow around me"

Rosemary couldn't help smirking."his name is chibi.he's a ghost...the ghost of a baby dragon.he's been with me for as long as I can remember.say hello, chibi." She said. At her command, chibi spoke in a clear child's voice."Hello Chibi!" he said.to anyone who couldn't see him, it would seem as if an innocent sounding young boy was standing at Poseidon's elbow.

She looked at the man.
"I would like to buy little Rosie."
She smile at him grabbing the money out.
"And if you touch her I'll have to break your hand off."
She said this harshly.

Rosemma's master took the money, "Don't threaten me" his voice was icy as he opened the cage.

"A baby dragon ghost?" said Poseidon, "that's....interesting"

Orpheus stood with Raina, watching everyone around him.

"Daddy, why are you doing this?" Raina whimpered. He stroked her hair, "hush child" She was not in a cage, but she was tied to a pole behind her, by one wrist.

Rosemary nodded."yeah.any creature can become a ghost.this little guy died when a dragon slayer killed his mother.he hid, but he was too young to hunt for himself and died of starvation.I think he found me because our situations were somewhat the same.many come and go, but only chibi stays." She explained, somewhat vaguely. She didn't want to give away too much of her secret.

"So you see ghosts?" Poseidon mused, "My brother's children have that ability..."

Orpheus saw Poseidon across the market.

Rosemary shrugged."I know nothing of your brother.only my parents, who were a rare breed of human that had magic.mages, they called themselves.and I was their completely human daughter." She said her tone uncaring.chibi kicked up a dust cloud as he tried to direct Rose's attention towards something.when she looked, she knew immediately what he wanted to show her.a young girl tied to a pole by one wrist, obviously being sold."poor child.just like me at that age." Rose said softly, an almost motherly look about her.

Hardly, thinking about it, Poseidon began to walk toward Orpheus and Raina.

Raina shrank back against Orpheus as they walked toward her.

Rosemary followed, getting to the child ahead of her new master.she knelt down and looked at the girl."hey there.im Rosemary.would you like to be friends?" She asked, her voice gentle and calming. Chibi stayed back so he wouldn't scare the girl.

"You're gonna take me away!I-I don''t wanna go with anyone!" Raina said, "I wanna stay here!" the last part of her sentence was a wail and she clung to Orpheus.

Poseidon walked up behind Rosemary.

Rosemary nearly cried."I understand, sweetie.I had to do the same thing once.I had to leave my parents and go with someone else.I always needed a friend and never got one, so I thought maybe you could use a friend yourself." She said gently, and backed up so she wouldn't upset the girl.

"But WHY do I have to leave?" Raina asked, "It's isn't fair!" her lip trembled.

Rosemary felt a tear run down her cheek."I know, sweetheart.I know exactly how unfair it is.sometimes we have to do things that are unfair because mean people want us to.but I can be a good friend if you let me." She said, her heart breaking for the girl.

Raina stared at the girl, "Why are you crying? Big girls don't cry." She had only seen an older person cry once, her mother the last time she saw her.

Rosemary wiped her tears."big girls cry sometimes.its ok to cry, you know.and I was crying because I felt the same way once that you do now. I understand how you feel and mt heart hurt for you." She explained.

"What's your name?" asked Raina, "who are you?" she looked behind Rosemary at Poseidon, "and who's he?'

"My name is Rosemary.I'm a slave girl.that guy over there is my new master, Poseidon. He's pretty nice, too.he's going to take care of me.you, too, if you come with us." Rose answered.Chibi snorted behind her, wanting to be introduced as well, but she didn't want to try that just yet, for fear of scaring the girl."its nice to meet you, Raina."

Raina blinked, "How do you know my name?"
