The Legend of the Elves

Idea/ Story

You are an elf from an ancient land that needs to travel west with a group of elves from your community. In the west lies the key to your people's salvation. Your Elven race is known as "The Jewel of Destiny" or "Nashka". You come in all shapes and colors and have different views of the world around you. The main purpose is to save your people from the gruesome evils of the west who live in shadow. They are know as "The Jewel of Death" or Elishka.

The Elishka are a race of demon like creatures who live directly under the tombs of the "Death Gods" known as "Lishka". The Lishka are what gave birth to Elishka. They are not an intelligent breed however they are a dangerous breed. They look like tall slender goblins but with black skin that bubble and foam like acid. They can shape shift mostly in flying dragon like creatures but only for a short period time. They are know heading east toward the Nashka race.

You as a Nashka most find them by traveling west before they invade your homeland. Nashka are a large tribe so not everyone knows each other and they live in varies smaller tribes across the kingdom. You all come together with a familiar (which is animal campaign with the same mental wave links as you). They are known as "Nishka" or "Animals of One".

Age: Unknown
Skin Color: White with red markings around the eyes and various red markings spread across his back.
Eye Color: A hazy blue (Blind)
Hair Color: Black
Familiar: Doppleganger

Personality: Of what personality can be told, Naut'shinder is often an enigma so complex it drives those trying to figure him out to a near nervous breakdown because not only does he have a tendancy to say only single words but often his unpredictable actions can leave people shocked and off-balance.
Naut'shinder provides no detail of his history or desires to anyone, he's secretive but suprisingly loyal. Not afraid to take a beating or a blade for those he trusts and respects, his greatest self is known only in battle, for he is a being of honor and fair game, but at the same time knows that naivity can be a killer.
No-one ever witnesses him eating either but he does, in his own time, away from other people because he realizes his eating habits can be looked upon as bizarre by his brethren. Freshly killed game and the blood of his prey are his bread and water.

Power:

Feral Blood Siphon, Naut'Shinder grows a temporary set of sharp teeth, becoming the reason for his peculiar drinking habits, the blood of his prey gives him temporary feral instincts and releases him from the limits of his regular body, allowing for increased movement speed, letting him hear distant or near foes as crisp as a needle on stone, letting him smell the trail of prey and enemies aswell as providing a second sight where he is capable of seeing organism's based ont heir body heat. Only lasts for small amounts of time. [Because the ability is a bit OTT I will not choose a second major ability]

Weapon: An array of light, well-crafted knives that can be used for throwing or close combat and wires meant for setting up traps or other various uses. Sometimes arms himself with claw-like gloves too.

Biography:
Naut'shinder has a considerably bizarre history indeed, some would even consider it the sign of a demon within him, but this was not the case. The boy's family was a quiet one, more solitary than most. Mystery surrounded them for they were considered quite majestic yet strange because of their research into mythology and magic in an attempt to find some links between what is considered real and what is considered fake.
However without warning their home was attacked by a wild beast of unimaginable strength. How they got to the home was never discovered because the family was well protected, and the body of the boy the last female had given birth to was gone.
Many years passed, the family slowly being forgotten until their home simply became a ghost house for those whom were ever dared to enter.
Nau'Shinder however had been taken away, still alive, to be feasted upon, until a strange, sickly looking creature saved him, a dark shadow, cloaked in tattered rags. The boy was taken away, taken care of by this thing, the boy was naturally blind and no idea what kind of thing was taking care of him, but its intelligence and extraordinary talent seemed to grow in the presence of the boy. They formed a symbioses, a natural bond of brotherhood as the doppleganger took on Naut'shinders appearance, and the two became as twins, of sorts, one acting as the eyes, the other as the voice and both as a deadly pair of warriors from the darkness, living life on the edge by instinct and not desire.
As time went on the bond became unbreakable and the two 'brothers' stumbled upon the home of Lydia, the Queen of the Nashka, and with the very instinct that let ihm survive all this time he found an interesting desire to want to protect the normal elf-woman. Speaking was something he'd learned as a child, the memories were fine, but he wanted to reveal himself and probably will soon.

(Starting the RPG just because someone did join it. If you still want to join there is a lot of spots opened)

Lydia wondered over towards a small table on the side of the old Oak bar at the corner of a small village known only as "Tarisha" which means Oak Tree. The large Oak Tree was carved hallow for a large bar. The carvings on the walls showed the "Narshka" fighting battles against the evil "Elishka". The room was warm from a large fire place centuries in the Oak Tree. The fire was not a normal fire but one of magic. It was safer to have a magic fire then a real one because it was a tree... And a still living tree at that. The bar tenders were not "Narshka" but creatures known as "Tibles". They were like hobbits but with no hairy feet. They were some what rude to and always wanted their gold and silver coins.

When the queen of "Narshka" came in their attitudes changed to a more nicer and well annoying way. Lydia stood as they asked her a simple question on why she was here. In response she said in her jaded voice "I am here awaiting my army." She smiled with a smile that showed no emotion only a reaction to what she said. It was nothing more then a reminder to leave her be before she used her magic to change them into acorns. Both the "Tibles" scurried away. She sighed awaiting her warriors to walk in hopefully any minute know.

The bar could have stayed quiet, too, if it wasnt for the sudden shock and biuzarre motion of two bodies dropping from the ceiling in almost perfect synchronisation, they landed, black hair flowing smoothly down into bare, rune-covered backs, chests covered by an almost feminine form of shirt and their cloths consisting of baggy pants and crude but effective sandals, the vast array of fine daggers noticeable along the back of their shirts and pants, and strange wires visibly wrapped about their arms.
Naut'shinder and his doppleganger were directly infront of the queen heads bowed and bodies postured in a kneeling position he'd witnessed some people doing before, he figured it out easily as a sign of respect.
The two looked up slowly, or atleast one of them did, the one was blind, hazed over eyes unblinking while the one who still pertained his sight stared at the queen, a somewhat mad look in his eyes, though his face remained sane.
The blind one, however, was the one to speak, if only a simple word, but well understandable, at the same time he pointed in the general direction of the Queen, only to be corrected by the 'brother' to his side,
"Mistress..." He lowered his head and his hand again, once again trying to be respectful, "Serve..." The doppleganger looked at him oddly, but simply made himself kneel in respect again, the two trusted eachothers judgement, and that was more than enough for either.

Lydia stared and stood up in respect. Her eyes narrowed and glowed brightly with odd respect. She was use to this before but something told her he was different. She never seen him before but at the same time their were thousands of her people across the country. It was rare to find anyone outside her court familiar. She wished over her 4,000 years she would have at least tried remembering everyone but it was hard. Her people have grown fast and to fast for her comfort.

"Well who may you be?" She smiled but it was a smile that was only common and not out of any happiness or joy. She waited patiently and looked over at the odd creature. Similar in appearance but oddly different she wonder what it was. She sensed a different sensation from this odd creature but she didn't let it show. She was far more interested in the one who spoke.

The bizarre pair slowly stood, , the blind one raising his head asif looking above them, though it mattered not, he was blind for the moment, he hadn't drank any blood yet. His structure, however, looked perfectly healthy, needless to say he was constantly active in his travels but he alwas ate whenever he needed to.
"Naut'shinder Uss.." Came a cold reply, a hiss-like quality when announcing his family name. The doppleganger looked around oddly at the ones whom were here, it probably was uncommon to run into a blind elf, aswell as whatever the Doppleganger was since he didnt speak and the fact he could see while looking like a perfect twin of the original.
The mad eyes of the creature looked back to the queen again before looking to Naut'Shinder quietly, an odd smirk plastered across his face as he made an odd hissing noise, almost as if he were attempting to laugh at loud, but with no voice to speak all it did was produce a spine tingling whisp of sound from his throat. Quite mad, yet quite sane.

(Since I only have a few I am adding kind of secondary characters who don't speak or anything. They are just there to make the army look bigger)

Lydia felt the darkness and to her it was nothing new. With her world falling apart before her eyes she knew this was common to find one so dark in her presense. Even so it did not matter and for a time she really thought that this man who stood before her was a perfect example of what she did need in her army. She nodded in response to his name and did understand he rarely spoke which was a good thing. She was not much of a talker either and tended to be alone a lot since her husbands passing.

"Naut'shinder please sit down and have a few beers." She stared at his twin realizing slightly what it was. She kind of cringed but at the same time stared at it with amusement. She did not seem to mind this company no matter how dark they may feel. The energy in the room was way to happy with dancing nymphs and creatures all around her. She never felt that happy in years but it was her husbands last words that made her want to protect them. They were her people after all.

She stared at her drink in concern hoping someone else would come in. She already a few men who rested on the outside waiting for her to bring new comers.

Nashtariel walked into the bar and leaned agianst the wall nearest the door. She was clothed in a black dress that went to her knees, and shoes that had laces going up her legs ((look at picture in signature)).She was a very shy girl and didnt LIKE to speak. But when she did her voice would sound like angles speaking in the wind. She had pink hair that went down to her bottom and sparkling blue eyes.
Though she may look like a princess or a girl that would not fight, her favorite thing WAS fighting and killing her enemies when told. If ever she had to she would kill mercilously at anyone's command that she herself would pledge herself too.
She looked around the bar and saw people happily drinking and then saw the queen. She had no idea that the queen would be here today and didnt really know what she was here for. But then she saw the two guys kneel before her and when she saw them she quivered from the evil that came from them. She didnt like it but knew that if they where doing what she thought they where doing she would have to deal with them anyway.
They where indeed saying they would fight with the Queen. Nashi herself thought it would be pretty exciting to go into war with the queen and maby even think it more exciting with these....guys i guess you could call them.
She walked over slowly with her dress waving in the wind to the queen. She kneeled down bowed her head and then looked up "My Queen..." she said putting her hand out to her. She had never pledged to anyone this high up in the elven higharchy but she was so excited on the inside she could hardly stand it. Yet her face stayed calm and collected "it would be my privledge to serve under you in your army" she said slowly and just loud enough for the Queen to hear, her voice sounding as angelic as her face looked. She looked up at the queen waiting to see if she would be accepted.

Have a few beers? What did that mean exactly? The doppelganger grabbed an unattended mug of the alcoholic substance and offered it in the direction of the blind elf. Naut'shinder took the arm of the doppelganger, placing his nose near the mug and sniffing at the drink. He almost instantly backed away, making a feral growl that continued to reverberate beneath his ribcage and he sniffed loudly as if trying to get the smell out of his nose while she shook his head.
The doppelganger made another silent cackle before sitting down next to Naut'shinder and the two dropped onto their rears on the floor near the Queen, simultaneously crossing their legs and folding their arms, Naut'shinder, however, snuffing again,
"Vile..."The quote was probably directed at the smell of the alcohol or maybe he could tell such a thing would intoxicate his senses too heavily, impairing him even further for a temporary time.
The doppelganger watched the new entry, grinning, an interesting little specimen this entrant was but hardly looked like a worthy meal, though he supposed eating people was now out of the question, it'd have to be enemies or animals from here on out, which meant more hunting trips out in the forests.
Naut'shinder, on the other hand, was turning his head left and right calmly, listening to the conversation around him, some were unsettled with his entry while others were making lewd comments about the girl who had entered, others were commenting on her apparent beauty, but when his feral sight was activated all people looked the same, almost, close up he could see body detail better.
Out of curiosity the strange elf suddenly bit into his arm, drawing blood, and with a small taste the senses in his body heightened, though he redirected everything to his second sight, the only time he could see anything.
Naut'shinder leapt forward, landing in front of Nashtariel, his form squatted and posed like a curious animal as he sniffed at her, his usually blue hazy eyes alive with a dark purple haze as he examined her as closely as he could be allowed, though after awhile backed off, sitting cross legged again. Llike a trusting animal accepting a new creature in its territory, Nashtariel's presence didn’t seem to bother him all that much, the blood trailing down his arm didn’t bother him much but he took to licking at the wound like an animal would, an excited grumble escaping him, he hadn't bit too deep but there was more than enough to open up more of his senses and sharpen them up a few notches for a temporary moment.

Lydia nodded in response to the beautiful elf in front of her. She was very amused by her stance and stated in a calm and collective voice, "What is your name?" Her eyes narrowed over at the two who seemed to be confused but interested in the beer.

Then something happened that slightly confused her and she stood quickly and looked. "Is everything okay?" It was more of a demand and less of a concern. She noticed blood but was slightly on the confused side. She never seen such a site. Her mind questioning a little about her new travelers but something inside insisting on trusting them. She surely did not mind dark people and even her enemy in away appeal to her but she knew better then to trust the Elishka with any deals. She waited kind of staring as she tried to obtain her attention away but could not.

Nashi looked up at the elven queen and then looked at the 2 other men acwardly since first of all the guy sniffed her witch kinda freaked her out, and the queen saw blood and she also was kinda creeped her out as well. She looked at the queen "Im Nashitariel, but you can call me Nashi" she said bowing her head in honor. "I hope i can be of some service to you my lady." she said and stood up looking her in the eyes with as much boldness as a bull. she bowed and waited for the Queen's responce. She lookd at the 2 guys and nodded her head at them showing her respect twords them.

The doppelganger just took to laughing a little more before making a bizarre 're-enactment' of the blind elf’s strange moment where in even he drew his own blood an exaggerated the effects of drinking blood but turning on a more blood-lusted face, teeth bared, all stained with its illusionary blood, then it copied the earlier animal pose and sniffed around. Hopefully they'd get the message; these two strange beings were practically animalistic with enough intelligence to get them by. And where they lacked intelligence, natural-born instinct would take over.
Naut'shinder continued to lap at where he'd bit himself, looked like the escaping blood was dying out now, even thought it would resurface every small while that passed. His eyes had turned from the hazy blue to a deep purple as he looked directly at the queen this time as if he could perfectly see her, and truth was he could, the body heat of everyone in the room made it possible to see everyone near perfectly save for the fact that he couldn’t make out details unless up close, and a heat-haze of colour spread from the many bodies in the room, making a quite spectacular site to behold, the seemingly blind elf could only quote a simple statement,
"Beautiful..."

Lydia smiled at Nashitariel with her normal thankful smile that only sent slight emotion but enough to show she was thankful. "Thank you for your help. I am sure my varies soldiers would be proud that some have come to help. It seems both your powers are strong enough to obtain what I need from the Elishka and to stop them in their tracks." She sighed knowing full well what will bestow upon them and it would not be happy one.

She turned over to her two dark and odd warriors and clearly was not so much concerned any more. It seemed natural for them to draw blood and the blood lust and natural darkness to them made her seem amused more then frighten.

"What is so beautiful?" She spoke to the blind one who she realized at that moment he was blind or well she thought until he spoke. She wanted to learn more but knew he did not speak much and rather kept her questions simple. At least Nashitariel could speak well and in her view would make a good balance between the two.

She drank her beer and she knew in only a few moments they would leave. She could here her men in the distance clearly becoming disturbed by the wait. She did like her beer and it kept her calm for awhile.

She nodded "Im glad i can join you my Queen and let me tell you....We will win this war with me and my noble horse on your side...no enemy or army has ever gotten past us.." she said and sat beside her "so when are we stationed to leave?" she asked as her angelic voice seemed to echo through the room like songs of birds, and she looked at the queen awaiting her answer.

When the blind one was asked what was beautiful, the doppelganger leaped over, turning about and standing straight, his arm stretched out full length, he looked over his shoulder at the queen then to Naut'shinder. A simple word escaped him, simple as any,
"Show..." He ordered, and with that the Doppelganger mad a funny movement, smiling and raising a finger to the queen, placing it on her nose if allowed, and if she were not afraid further she would experience a brief moment of darkness before being shown exactly what the blind one was now able to see, sure at first it was difficult to discern but once the bodies could be made out the 'light show' of body head being thrown about the room was certainly unique and beautiful in its own right, the illusion wouldn’t last long but in that time the queen would also be able to see the doppelganger in its natural state, a beastly, dark-skinned corpse-like elf, eyes aglow, a black liquid-like cape hanging off it's shoulders and ruined leather belts strapped across its flesh as if practically melted in place, the only remaining beauty was its hair, dark as the night and long enough to flow about him to his very heels.
After that the Doppelganger would back off, sitting down next to the blind elf and imitating his movements once more.

She stared at Nashitariel and said, "Soon." She smiled and then stated, "Well after this beer anyway."

After awhile the Doppelganger put his finger to her nose she blanked out for a bit and saw everything imaginable. At first it felt like eternity and then it felt so good. It was something she never expected at that moment and when the fear vanished the show vanished. At first she stared in delusion then stood up and looked over at Naut'shinder and in a light and slightly delusional voice she said, "I see." She then shook her head and looked at the Doppelganger and then at that moment realized what it was. "Amazing friend you have here Naut'shinder. I never thought in all my life to see one." She knew exactly what it was but thought only of it as a fairytale. Then again this entire world was one big fairytale.

She stood up slightly took the last of her beer and said, "We better get going considering we have a few days journey ahead. It might even take a week if the mountain pass is over round by those creatures. We might have to go around which will take another two days or so. I have not traveled this long in years." She sighed in a deep and low sigh like she really didn't feel like dealing with it.

She stoop up and headed out of the bar looking back to see if they followed her. Outside the large oak bar stood a band of men shaped in all sizes and not all elvish like either. Some were races of dwarf like creatures and others werewolf like. All of which were intelligent but also very rare creatures in deed. Finding them took years and they became loyal to the Queen after years of gaining their respect.

Racing up was a white horse like creature with a slender deer like head and one gray spiraling horn that centered in its far head. Its gray and white feathered wings expanded as it ran towards her. Its sound was more like a whale then a typical horse sound. It was a white and gray unicorn but a rare creature to be found and barely ever seen. It started to rub on the queen.

"This is my familiar and her name is only known to me. I never tell her name to anyone because I communicate it to her in her language. She only is commanded by me so if you have any need to use her please ask me and I will see what I can do. She is a very picky creature at that."

Nashtariel walked out and saw the beautifull Unicorn. "what a beautifull creature!!"she said stroking its neck lightly. Then she whistled and a pegasus flew down from the sky neighing shrilly and landed right in front of her. She stroked the marvelous Horse. "This is my familiar. This is my female 16 hand high(5 1/2 feet at whithers), Pegasus. Got her from my parents before they died. They found her as a baby after hunters killed her herd. I have taught her the elvish language and now she takes command in that language"
The horse was a stunning golden color and shone in the dim twilight light. She reared and neighed showing her beauty even more as she flapped her enormous wings at a wing spand of 5 feet each wing, they packed a punch. "Mellon, Vindyamirie, Mellon" she whispered to the horse and she calmed and snorted "cu'" she said and the horse bowwed to the queen "her name is Sapphire...she said that it is ok for me to tell you this my queen"

The 'twins' that had been met in the tavern had shot back into the rafters and vanished in spite of the number of eyes that had watched them, they appears outside up on the tavern roof, silent and watching, waiting, Naut'shinder's sight was going blind again, though it did not matter all that much to him, the world around him was easy enough to figure out and his doppelganger looked out for any hazards he may encounter.
In truth Naut’shinder depended on his body-double a lot, though the double could survive better than he could on his own. Naut’shinder would have to force himself to regress to his feral side just to survive. Sure he was used to it, but it would mean he’d become wilder and more savage, killing anyone as prey, that included other elves and their children. He didn’t want to imagine doing that.

The presence of the two majestic beasts made the doppelganger scowl, their majesty and beauty was a waste of time, maybe they were useful in a fight but he loathed their preened appearances, nothing he could do about it anyway, he preferred his ability to match Naut’shinder’s feral attacks. Along with the Doppelganger’s illusionary tricks the two were deadly to fight if one didn’t catch on to them soon enough.
Without warning they seemed to just vanish, reappearing on ground level with the queen and Nashtariel. They were waiting for the order to move out now. Only the Queen could call that out.

Lydia smiled gently at Sapphire and what a beautiful creature it was. Her unicorn surely agreed but then again she always agreed with her. She adored her creature very much but sometimes she wished she was alone. The unicorn was a gift from her husband and her husband has place a small part of himself in the unicorn. How she wished at times the unicorn did not remind her of her beloved husband.

She then stared over at the twin "twins" who seemed to appear suddenly beside her. She sighed and felt them to be a little wild inside. Something she admired but at the same time feared. She didn't know why they would come to her aid in this time of need but then again those questions were not so important. Maybe latter she would ask.

"Okay men and ladies we are heading out." She grabbed a long white stick with a white glowing jewl on top. It was a sign of the kingship and though she had no husband or children she took the honor as king. She was waiting for a day she would find her king. She sighed climbed onto her beautiful creature and began to ride. She then turned toward Naut'shinder and asked, "Do you need a horse?"

Nashtariel also got on her horse and put her legs right behind her wings and grabbed ahold of the gold reins that hung on her horse and the bit was even gold. "If they need a horse i have 2 regular horses...one is black and the other is dark brown. They can use them if they wish...they are saddled and bridled and ready to go" her horse wrapped its wings around Nashi's legs and rested the ends of its wings on its hindquarters.

The term horse probably meant something like they were riding but the two seemed to make no reply to the offer, instead setting off at a four-limbed walk, close tot he ground, sniffing here and there, though they'd take the odd bound, the Doppelganger playing as a sort of lead dog for the blind elf.
The animalistic moves, showed much of the heavily worked muscle in Naut'shinder’s legs whenever the trousers were stretched to a degree, and whenever his arms shifted to support the front of his body almost all the workings below the flesh could be seen, there was not just strength but speed. Naut'shinder needed no mount to travel and proved that by bounding forward quickly on all fours until he hung from a tree, swinging up to land upon it and turn his head, ears twitching as they listened and waited for the Queen and Nashtariel.
The doppelganger moved more with a sway, slipping below animals before hopping along a few horses and jumping up to trees on the other side of the road they were headed, the two acting like living breathing gargoyles of sorts, one listening intently, the other watching.
Evil knew evil, and what better to combat evil than a reformed creature of darkness and an elf raised like a beast by the same said dark creature?

She didnt like these beings one bit but she spoke none of this to the queen and muttered to herself "guess they dont want my assistance...their loss" she said more to herself then to anyone else. Then her horse whinnied in anticipation to move but she made her stay in place. She looked at the queen awaiting orders like the Dropplehangers(sp?) and her horse rearing and neighing ready for a good fight or to go through anything that came in their way.

Lydia stated in a stern loud voice, "We head out!" Much of the men who were there surrounding them grabed onto their stallions or whatever creature maybe theres and started to ride. She looked onward to the darkness that appeared over the mountains. She then realized that the creatures were getting closer and she feared it maybe to late for the towns that are close to the border.

She sounded louded a horn and in a voice that drifted into all ears, "Will anyone come with me who is fast. I need to make sure that the creatures did not make it towards the border. I need to make sure my people are safe." Her words were concerning and in a deep breath she waited.

Both the doppelganger and Naut’shinder’s movements stopped, the body-double looking out toward the border and Naut’shinder listening intently. Something seemed wrong; even from all the way out here he could smell a vileness coming towards them. He let out a sudden distressed noise like an angered animal before leaping down from the tree and began rapidly galloping upon his hind legs and hands in the direction of the towns Lydia had mentioned.
The doppelganger had also caught onto the scent and like Lydia was eager to see what was going on, but it only cared for helping Naut’shinder in his endeavours, and if it meant helping the elves and creatures it so detested; it would. Once the two were at an equal pace the Doppelganger once again made a job of directing Naut’shinder so he didn’t run into any obstacles.
The speed the two moved at, alone, was incredible, they really didn’t need a mount because they could run at a near equal pace to four-legged beasts, though Naut’shinder was less graceful than the doppelganger, which seemed to glide along the ground rather than run.

(It is okay if we double like this but not to much. I don't want to have to many post before someone replies. I just posted just in case if I don't get a chance latter.)

Lydia looked over to see that the two twins started off and she slightly reared her unicorn up to follow them. She sounded a horn to anyone willing to follow and two of the men started to follow. She hope to the heavens that they were safe. She ended up catching up with Naut'shinder at wicked speed. She learned that speed is a good thing.

She knew it may take longer then she would expected but luckly with the quikness of both her and Naut'shinder they can make it there. She stared over at the Doppelganger and knew for a fact it was a huge advantages to have such creature by her side.

She stared out as a fire was blazing in the town. She started to ride harder and faster.

Nashtariel kicked her steed hard on the sides and he flapped his wings and went into the air flying and catching up easily with the others. She lowered him to the ground and he started galloping at the same speed as the queens Unicorn staying right beside it and all this time, Nashtariel was riding bareback!!
She looked out in the distance and the said to the queen at a shout so she could hear her "There are a bunch of creatures I do not recognize about 200 yards off...saphire is letting me use her eyesight to see" she said and suddenly Saphire reared knocking Nashtariel off her back and she fell right beside her just missing her legs but Nashtariel had a twisted leg. As the other people were going ahead of her she got her horse up and spoke to it in elvish to calm it and got back on and ran after them at a medium gallop as best she could.
