But I have heard someone did get banned for doing his Spanish HW on the boards and spoke it more so than English. Then got the hammer.

Yes, it's kind of dumb, but that way no one feels left out, it is a rule, just so we're clear.

Why not try adding an english translation so you're not only keeping gold, you're earning it.

Posting in languages other than English
For the sake of ease of moderation we have to insist that apart from in Menewsha Nation, all threads must be in English. Allowing non-English threads in places like General Discussion and the Literature Forum and its subs leaves us too open to abuse from copy/pasting and people posting nonsense for gold gain, because they know others cannot understand it.

And that way, nobody gets the possibility of the ban hammer.

  Well, this is, after all, a hangout thread. I have a thread in here where you can talk different languages and I haven't had anyone bother me about it, and there are plenty of threads in the Mene Nation that are for talking in different languages.

As others have mentioned, posting in other languages is meant to be contained to the Menewsha Nation forum.
The event forum is a bit more laid back than normal forums, but I'd still discourage breaking this rule just for the sake of consistency.

Feel free to make a general chat thread here instead.
