Cider is apple juice with apple pulp still in it so it's cloudy and thick and very tasty.
There's apple juice for babies, all watery and ew, and then cider all crushed apple goodness, and then HARD cider, which is alcoholic. Also tasty.

@Oriana: Don't feel bad. I don't know just how cider is made. All I know is it's a delicious liquid.
@Majinkoz: Hi! Your name seems familiar for some reason.
@People getting hungry: Sorry! XD
Oh, hey. I just realized I can make two skeletons right now and have many ribs (I'm getting lots of ribs, but not many skulls!) and a bone left over.

Leenie, I always thought that apple cider was really just another name for apple juice.
So I just googled it, and it appears that I'm wrong.

Thanks...my day has been ok...i just got back from bowling with a friend and tonight I'm going dancing with a few more friends...I've been really depressed beacuse my boyfrien of 3 years broke up with me 10/22....:/
and he has made no attempt to contact me. I saw him yesterday for the first time and totally broke down. He asked a mutual friend why I suddenly left and it was because I was upset and he just said, 'oh well she should've said hi to me' he's just being really...different. He has never been like this. :/ Oh well...

I think the US is one of the few places to make a distinction between regular apple juice and 'cider'. The UK calls what I call cider=apple juice and calls what I call hard cider=cider. Not sure about other countries.

I don't believe that apple cider need have alcohol in it.
Hard cider however does have alcohol in it.

I'm told that in Enlgand if you order a cider they hand you a hard cider, and if you ask for apple juice you get regular cider. There only babies drink what I condsider to be apple juice.
I learned this because I had an argument with a British kid once about apple juice.
Cider is best this time of year, when the apples are in season. I've seen cider available year round, just like apples - but it's pretty tasteless.

I have a friend who makes a concoction that has apple juice, wine, cinammon, cloves, and a few other things in it. She serves it hot. It's very nice on a cold evening.
