In many parts of the world, lights are thought helpful to guide benevolent spirits home as well as keep those of darkness at bay. And in equally many parts of the world, this time of year is considered one where spirits are abroad. One of the most beloved aspects of Halloween, the carving of pumpkins and vegetables into lanterns has been practiced for centuries as way to facilitate this and as a way of dealing with the encroaching early nightfall. It's probably a tradition that's been carried out in your own home. Surely you were thinking about doing it again this year? Well, why not enter your transient masterpiece in Menewsha's own carving contest!

Ready to join in? Please keep in mind these Guidelines

✑Please abide by Menewsha's rules and TOS at all times
✑Stick to pumpkins and similar gourds, or turnips (the original carving material of choice!) for your entries
✑There is a 2 entry limit, make your choices wisely
✑Please include your username in the photograph of your entry
✑Please use the form (available in post 4) when you submit

You could do turnips or another kind of gourd.

I am going to try this out. Maybe, next time I head to the store I am going to pick up a pumpkin. <33 I can even bake some pumpkin seeds..
