It actually is pretty good. The cake is store bought (box), because I can't get my hands on cake flour right now. :gonk:

And oh, mi madre loves the cream cheese frosting.
She went insane and whenever I went to make a cake she would insist upon the cheese cream frosting.

I made some last night for my sister and her friend. I made the batter from scratch, and topped them with whipped cream and strawberries. They had their choice of syrup, but I would've suggested the real maple syrup

I guess regular flour is more... gluten-y? xD I wanna try my hand with it, because whenever I've made homemade cake, it didn't taste quite right. It was good, but not great.

That, too. I know that a lot of recipes call for cake flour instead of regular flour, at least the ones I've looked at. T^T

I use any flour for cake, but I don't have any eggs, not do I have any stuff I could use instead of eggs, so no cakies for me :(

@Krissy - oh I have seen them to, I just never listen. xD

@jellysundae - oh yeah, that is a tough replacement item. xD I know you can replace applesauce for oil but I don't know what you could for eggs or if there is anything....well vegans eat cake though so there has to be something! xD

I'm learning that.
I got some recipe online, and it was too much at one point, and after some changes, the amount made was more manageable, and the batter actually made better pancakes.

And it's good, but I'm an adventurous baker. I like to try different things and combinations, and that totally hindered that.
It made me a little resentful of cream cheese frosting for a while.

@ Jelly: Oh noes! D: I've found myself in situations where I wanna bake a bunch of stuff but never have the ingredients. T___T; It's rather saddening, too..

@ Crunky: Well, within the past year I've been able to bake. I don't have all that much experience. So I'm still learning. xD

@ Popcorn: Have you considered frosting maybe half the cake with cream cheese frosting and the other half with a different kind? o.o

@Krissy - It's a fun thing to experiment with, I bake all the time. Sometimes you mess up and it turns out better. xD
