Sighing, Fenris wondered who he'd offended to end up stuck like this. He was escorting the princess, and he could think of NOTHING more boring than that. War was in the air, and here he was, playing babysitter He put his shield on his back, and fiddled with his swords pommel. Looking ahead, he saw nothing... still.... "damn this sucks..." he muttered to himself.

The princess couldn't be more greatful toward the warrior that saved her. The bandits had seem to come out of nowhere and killed all of her escorts. Princess Kassandra was sure afraid for her life until this warrior came out of nowhere and safed her. But now she felt abit bad that he had to escort her back to her kingdom. She nibbles her lip looking up at her "Hmm...sir..I would like to thank you for eariler...I surely would have died if you didn't show up. My father will give you anything you want once we return to my kingdom." says. She figure of she spoke to him it could speed up the trip which wouldn't be long until they reach to the first gate of the kingdom.

((wait, we were starting after the attack? I'm sorry, I thought it was before.... you want me to re do it?))

Sighing, Fenris wondered who he'd offended to end up stuck like this. He was escorting the princess, and he could think of NOTHING more boring than that. War was in the air, and here he was, playing babysitter He put his shield on his back, and fiddled with his swords pommel. Looking ahead, he saw nothing... still.... "damn this sucks..." he muttered to himself. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the man next to him fell, an arrow through his throat. "Ambush!" Fenris yelled, grabbing his shield from his back, and drawing his sword. Three men came up, and challenged Fenris. With a roar, He slew the first one within the first few seconds, and after a minute or so, the second one fell to his blade. the third one, however, was extremely skilled, and they dueled back and forth for a while, each taking and giving wounds. Finally, however, Fenris knocked him down with his shield, and ran his sword through him. turning, he saw that the princes escort had been slain, and a few bandits were converging on her carriage. Charging, he caught them by surprise, and took them out eventually. Bleeding heavily, he Leaned into the carriage, and said, "Are you okay my lady?"

((sorry, this post isn't as good as I normally do. Just for future reference, do you mind gore? I don't normally add it, but I normally try to be as descriptive as possible. I'm not going to do gross out gore, but be more specific about HOW my char kills people.))

Princess Kassandra sits in the carriage while it was being escorted as she had came back from another kingdom to find more allies. Usual it wasn't her job but since she was the only heir to the throne she had to take more responsibility. She reads a book quietly for an while to past the time going home before she felt the carriage stop. She heard a yell as she didn't know what was going on before she pokes her head out to see what was happen. She saw the bandits and her escort being killed why the warrior that was with her as well would fight the bandits. She would see a few coming towards her carriage as she never been that scaried before. Once it was over all she saw was blood everywhere before she looks back over to the warrior. She pants alittle "Yes..yes I am ok...are you ok? Who are they?" says not sure what to say or anything. Since there was a war going on there was more trouble thru out the land.

touching a cut across his face, Fenris winched. "I guess I'm alright... but that's nor important right now. We need to get you to safety. I don't know who they were, but they obviously weren't friends of ours." Running up to the front of the carriage, he unhooked one of the horses. "can you ride?" he asked, leading the horse to her door.

Kassandra looks at the warrior and nods "Yes I am alright..just afraid..I heard of rummors working for the other kingdom who turn agaisnt my father. I always thought it wasn't true I guess I was wrong..and since I am the only heir they surely would try to kill me or something." sighs deeply. She pulls her cloak around herself and looks at Fenris and nods "Yes I can ride" watches him getting the horse from the from.

hopping on, Fenris held out a hand to the princess. Blood dripped from the finger tips. His. "come on, we have to go." he Hauled her up onto the back of the horse, and with a hyah, took off, like the devil himself was after them.

Kassandra looks up at him and ignoring the blood she grabs his hand getting pulled up onto the horse. She would hold onto him while they take off hoping no one else would stop them along the way. At lease she prayed it wouldn't be no more attacks until they was safely behind the kingdom's gates. "Thank you Fenris..if you wasn't with us I surely would had been killed."

Nodding, Fenris snapped the reigns and forced the horse into a gallop. Wincing, Fenris realized he was wounded. Badly. Ignoring the pain, he forced the horse to keep going. A mile or so from home, however, there was a barricade set up by the bandits. Grimacing, Fenris drew his sword, and jumped off. Slapping the horse to make keep going, he shouted at the princess, "send help!" then he turned, and defended himself. Trying to give the princess time.

She blinks watches the bandits try to attack. Even more she was surpised that Fenris had jumped off as she knew he was wounded. She didn't agrue cause now she was on the horse heading back after hearing Fenris say send help. She races back to the castle gates as she pulls herself off and falls onto her face. The guards rushes to her aid "Hurry Sir Fenris is in trouble bandits had attack my escorts and killed them and now they are going to kill Fenris." as the head guard nods "Yes princess right away." As about ten or more gets on their horses and rushes off. As the maids comes out of the castle and helps the princess inside while another runs to tell her parents.

Fenris parried a blow aimed at his head. Since jumping off the horse, he'd slain three of the bandits, and wounded another score or so. however, he'd been wounded several times in the process. First, he'd been stabbed in the leg by a spear. then a couple of cuts on his torso, and finally, a cut above his eye. One of the bandits rushed him, and instead of blocking like he normally did, Fenris grabbed the man, and pulled him close. Before he could do anything, Fenris rammed his sword through the man's heart. Before his fellows could react, Fenris had taken the dead man's shield, and backed up. He hoped the princesses reinforcements showed up soon.

It did take a while for the reinforcements to follow the horses track back to Fenris and the bandits. They hope they wasn't to late as they take charge and aids Fenris as some of them would rush into the group with their horses. As the bandits knock some of the soldiers off their horses as the fight starts up very bloody.

Hearing the princesses soldiers, Fenris allowed himself to relax. It was then that one of the bandits stabbed him. It wasn't fatal, but it did hurt. Loping off the man's head, Fenris screamed in pain. He turned and ran towards the princesses men. They soon finished the bandits. Fenris walked up, and climbed the horse of the captain, but no sooner did they get started, than he passes out.

The soldiers head back to the castle many of them was wounded but not to serious. As once they gotten their they take Fenris who was passed out inside so the doctor would help him. The princess was ok but scaried about Fenris as they didn't want her to see him just yet. Of course she had to anyway as she gets out of her room and heads toward the room where Fenris was in. She opens the door and make sure no one else was inside the room before moving over to the bed where Fenris was in. She was sure that he was bandage up good as the doctor always made sure he did a good job keeping his patients are well. Kassandra walks over to his bed and sighs deeply "Fenris..."

Fenris was having a dream. There was a beautiful woman who kept calling his name. Waking with a start, he heard the princess ssay his name. "what... what happened.... are you okay my lady?" Disoriented, he looked around. "where am i?"

Kassandra blinks and stands up "Shh don't move you are wounded but its not life threating. You was out of it for a few hours now. The soldiers came and help you of course they also caught a few bandits who was still alive. They have them in the dungoen trying to make them talk but no luck." sighs deeply. She brushes some of her hair otu of her face as it was all down not like she usual had it up. She looks at him "My father wants to see you to give you his thanks for protecting me. And also to asked you something else but he won't see you until you are alittle be better." smiles lightly as she hope she wasn't to much a bother for Fenris..sometimes she wish her parents had a boy instead of a girl. Cause at lease the boy would take care of himself better than she could. Kassandra shakes her head and looks back over at Fenris "Anyway how are you feeling? Can I get you anything?"

Fenris grinned lightly, "No, thank you. I'm fine for now... Just a bit bored.... Would it be a bother If I asked you to stay, so I could have somebody to talk to?" he shifted nervously, "if not that's fine." he really did want the company.. but he was afraid that she might take offense. After all, why should a princess lower herself to talk to a mere warrior?

Kassandra looks at Fenris and smiles "Of course it won't be a bother..I have nothing else to do anyway." giggles lightly. She brushes back some of her hair out of her face while she looks at him. "Beside I know what my father is going to ask you." says. She stares down and sighs deeply "As a reward of protecting me he is going to ask you to help us in his quest to end this war. And to tell the truth I think my father is being greedy."

Grinning, Fenris sat up a bit, "sorry to bug you... It's just boring here.. umm...." Now that he'd gotten a yes, he wasn't sure what to talk about.... In the end, he just asked her about what it was like, being in the court all the time. He frowned at what she said though, "not sure I'd like to.... really, I think that we should just stop fighting, leave the lands as they are.... too many people hav edied already."
