Comments: Homemade lemon bars with fresh-squeezed lemon juice, zest, a homemade shortbread crust, and featuring extra virgin olive oil in the custard! Facade LOVES lemon, and made these for a New Year’s Eve party he’s going to tonight!
For those interested, the recipe I use (I’ve made these 3-4 times over the years) is here. Highly recommended!

lemon bars, yummmmmmm....I like sour-ish desserts.

The verdict at the holiday party was that the lemon bars were good! Phew, I'm so happy and so glad... glad they turned out the best that I've made 'em, and happy that people liked 'em!

Naisou, both of those concoctions are magnificent. There's so much awesome foodstuffs being submitted this year. I'm seriously inspired to try my hand at recreating a good half of it! Woo!

That cocktail is especially enticing though. I'm of the cocktail persuasion, and love vodka and coconut, so I may have to try it!

i'd recreate most of these foods myself to. xD if only i wasn't allergic to pineapple i love pineapple, but pregnancy gave me an allergy to it xD *eats pineapple upside down cake with no regrets*

Thanks Facade, the cocktail was good but next time I won't use as much ice as it called for. Watered it down too much for me. :/ my mom liked it that way though lol.

I might have to try out your lemon bars. They looked really good.. Reminds me of a meringue-less lemon meringue pie. And I always scrape that off so its perfect! Lol

Comments: Indian Spiced Tomato and Egg Casserole. Lots of garlic and chiles (didn't include jalapeños this time around), and I'll likely have hot sauce when I go in for the kill to devour this in a few minutes. I love spice.
This time I didn't use whole peeled canned tomatoes, since I forgot I only had pureed, but I think this came out better than before! Mm, fingerling potatoes and spicy sauce. Comfort food!

wow I've never had anything like that. I'm sure it tastes great!

Comments: Lemon and herb roasted chicken with buttered Parmesan asparagus. It was delicious. I wish I still had some left.

Comments: A cup of hot chocolate with green and red sugar sprinkles and a giant marshmallow dipped in crushed up candy cane. Kid tested, mother approved.
