Seriri, though I would have to argue on the point.
I have nothing against the HIGH collar. More to... the high collar you had done really seemed to be shark teeth choking-ish. IF that is what you want, then sure it is fine. XD But since your rest of the cloth doesn't seem to yell for that SHARP TEETH collar, of course I would thought it suppose to be gentle or softer.

If you want to copy the ruffle hem to the collar, there are certain characteristic you have mess up and make it into the sharp teeth effect.
So now I am not sure whether you understand me, or you really is designing of a poking teeths collar?

hahaa even with refs I get people pointing out all the failures in my work XD But at least it helps the item improve and makes me think more about how I make things :D

I see what you mean, xuv (especially with the references there). The problem is, I like the idea of a collar for this that is high and a bit stiffer (not quite sure that's the word I'm looking for, but yeah, same general idea, I believe) and, while I like the looks of those ref collars (especially the second one, as it's kind of what I'm going for), it's hard to get that softness and match the bottom hem without loosing a lot of the shape/overall stiffness of the collar because the collar afford so little working space.

I'll try a few things an see how they look to make the points look a bit less bitey, but I can't promise that I'll find a solution to this that we'll both enjoy.

I understand the neck space in this type of avatar is small and challenging, but I am sure can pull off. The matter is... the references I show, the fabric is not stiff enough with what you are thinking?

Nope, you didn't. I've just been filling art requests and messed up my wrist in the process, so I'm taking a bit of a clicky clicky break (at least until this weekend is over).

Not anywhere near finished and still working through the suggestions that you guys have given me. Essentially, I'm posting this to let you know that I am making progress, it's simply extremely slow progress, as there quite a bit on my plate IRL right now.

Right now I still need to work on the shape of the bottom ruffles a bit, shift the collar a tad more, and finish shading everything.

Ooooo. Are the neck and arm pink dots jewels? Because that would be soooo pretty <3

The wrap does need the darkness pulled back or more highlights and the straps strengthened but it's really really good!

The dress top is coming along and I like it. I think the jewels need to be bigger to be noticeable. And the boob area let out a bit more cause it looks like they are being a bit squished xD

Glad you like em. I had a blast making them (especially the mask)! Sadly, I may end up having to scrap (and/or totally revamp) the Lotta Love Dress , as I'm in a bit of a weird place with it / it's been so long that I can't quite remember what I was trying to accomplish in terms of the shading.

EDIT: The more I look at this thing, the less I like it. Trying to go for a small knit effect while shading and making things look clean was just ugh...and I don't think I pulled it off very effectively... it looks so very pixelated ...and being pressed for time certainly isn't helping. May end up undoing all the knit bits and redoing it with a different material in mind.

Here's a flat color (needs shading and highlighting on the main sweater bit) of the sweater. Might go this way / not knit instead. Thoughts?

I love the concept of this....love love love it. I think the knit pattern is giving you a lot of trouble. I'd aim for maybe a cotton top.
I'd like to see some darker shades in your shading...the top is relatively flat.right now. I would also employ other shades in the outline...its slightly too dominate.

Believe it or not, I'm using the darker shades in the shading right now. But yeah, the knit is killing me! (though I like the idea of it, so I may keep fiddling with it...I dunno. Cotton would definitely be easier and make for cleaner shading).

Yeah, haven't gotten around to mucking with the outline yet. Thanks for reminding me. I probably would have forgotten tbh. xP
