The Sins and the Virtues

So here's the story.

We all know what the seven deadly sins and the seven heavenly virtues are. That doesn't have to be explained, right? Good. So anyway, these fourteen objects were usually only spoken of. There was no living idol for each of the sins or virtues. One day, it was decided in the heavens that living versions of the virtues should be made, so that they can positively influence those around them to make the best choices as life went on. So, it was done. Humility, Kindness, Patience, Diligence, Charity, Temperance and Chastity were incarnated into humans and sent to live on earth. And surely, when this happened, they were influencing people to do better things.

Unfortunately, this isn't gonna be one of those 'happily ever after' things. After three reincarnations of the virtues, a dark force caught up on what was going on. And you know for a fact that this person isn't going to want the world to be perfect and peaceful with these virtues walking around. So, he decided that he wanted to terminate the virtues and have the world the way he wanted it. Thus, he sent out the sins: Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony and Lust. And with this, the dark force determined that there were two options: either get the virtues to act against their nature and turn them into an extra sin, or kill them off.

The sins and virtues are all in high school, close to the same age. The sins know who they are and who the other sins are. They can pick up on who the virtues are by being around them. The virtues have no recollection of who they really are. They just think that it's their choice how they act. If they discover who the sins are, it will refresh their memory and they will remember who they are, who the other virtues are, and their past lives. At the start, the virtues would be completely unaware of the danger that they are in, but if they can pick up on it, they could eliminate the sins and save the world from true evil.

About the Virtues

The virtues are all best friends. They hang out all the time and talk all the time. They positively affect their classmates, often times without trying.

Humility: Female, the unspoken leader of the virtues. Very selfless, modest, puts others first. Somewhat shy. Her opposite is Pride.

Kindness: Male, the most charismatic of the group. Gets along well with everyone with no problem at all. Usually in a good mood. His opposite is Envy.

Patience: Female, very good at moderating things. Doesn't mind waiting her turn at all. She is good at giving advice and resolving conflicts. Her opposite is Wrath.

Diligence: Male, very smart and hardworking. The brains of the group. Great work ethic. He plans what the group does when it comes to hanging out and everything. His opposite is Sloth.

Charity: Female, helps out in any situation, no matter what. Gives a lot of her extra time to volunteer in various places. Her opposite is Greed.

Temperance: Male, is usually in a good mood all the time. Excellent self-control; does not over-indulge in anything. His opposite is Gluttony.

Chastity: Female, wholesome and pure. Refuses to have sex with anyone until marriage and wears a purity ring. Even though all of the virtues are good, she's the biggest 'goody-goody' of them all. Her opposite is Lust.

About the Sins

The sins are known as "The Blue Jackets" around school. That is the name of their notorious gang. They are together most of the time and always have their jackets on. Most are afraid of them.

Pride: Male, the self-appointed leader of the sins. Thinks of himself in a higher light than anyone else, even his fellow sins. In love with himself. His opposite is Humility.

Envy: Female, always wanting what she can't have. Will do anything to try to get something that she wants. Is always envious of those who are more fortunate than she is. Her opposite is Kindness.

Wrath: Male, always in a bad mood. He is the fighter of the group. Very short tempered and can get angry about the smallest things. His opposite is Patience.

Sloth: Female, very, very, VERY lazy. Never likes to do anything that seems like hard work. Her opposite is Diligence.

Greed: Male, obsessed with material possessions. Always is trendy and well-dressed, and always has the latest gadgets, though it is never enough. His opposite is Charity.

Gluttony: Female, always hungry. Eats all the time and often takes other people's food also. Also likes having material possessions but to a lesser extent than Greed. Her opposite is Temperance.

Lust: Male, always hooking up with the girls in the school. He's known to have 'been with every girl in the school'. Dresses provocatively. His opposite is Chastity.

The school day was still proceeding, but would end soon. It was lunch time, and the lunch room was loud and noisy with the voices of happy students, who were more than okay with getting some time away from books and with their friends.

There was one lunch table in the middle of the room that no students would sit at. It was specially reserved for a famous group of students, and also a group of students that everyone knew and that most everyone respected. These students were of course the virtues, but they had no idea that they were symbols of positive behavior. They just thought they were any normal students, who were lucky enough to have many good friends, and also a positive influence on most of the students at the school.

Soon, Alex entered, heading to sit at the lunch table. Some of his friends from nearing tables waved, and he greeted them. He then sat down, opening his lunch bag. And at that moment, Katelyn came down from the lunch line and joined him. They began talking amongst themselves while waiting for the rest of their group to show up.

Now unfortunately, this friendly scene isn't the only thing going on in the cafeteria. In the back corner, there was another table that no one dared to touch, but it was for a completely different reason. The students that would sit there were neither liked nor respected. They were feared. This is where the sins sat. They knew exactly who they were, but hid their true identities. But, inevitably, what sin that they were was apparent in their behavior.

Two of the students, Lucy and Chandler, were walking towards the table. Lucy had two lunch trays and Chandler had his. They sat their trays down on the table, and then looked around. Lucy noticed one person in particular who made the mistake of bringing a chocolate cake in his lunch. She walked over and laid a firm hand on his shoulder.
"That looks delicious," she said, the poor boy giving her his cake out of fear. She then continued to loot the rest of the students at that table for something in their lunch, and then took the food back to her seat as she began to eat. Lucy was Gluttony, so she always overindulged in things... especially food.

Chandler had stolen lunch money from a couple of people while Lucy was getting the food from others. Stealing lunch money was a generic bullying tool, but the money that he would get added up. And, being Greed, Chandler could never get enough of anything. Popping the collar of his blue jacket, he sat down next to Lucy and began to eat his lunch.

Standing in front of his locker was a young male with snow white hair and emerald cat-like eyes. This young boy's name was none other then Niya otherwise known as the virtue of Temperance, of course just like all the other virtues within the school he also didn't realize who he truly was on the inside. The bell had only just recently rang to end yet another period class for the day and to announce the beginning to lunch period. Niya had only went straight to his locker so that he would be able to grab his lunch that he had made before leaving his home in the morning, knowing that both his mother and father had worked hard to buy the food for the house he hadn't bothered to take too much for himself. Rather all he had was nothing more then a small brown paper bag, all the other students around the school had known Niya to be one not to eat much but yet he still had his own figure as though he were fit rather then as skinny as a stick.

It had only taken him a matter of moments to walk down the hallway and soon reach the cafeteria. Turning his head left and right as he had seen how many of the other students were enjoying their lunch and talking with their own friends, Niya kept his gaze completely away from the table of where the Blue Jackets had sat at. Making even the smallest eye contact with any of them always seemed to lead to trouble that one would cause to oneself. Rather, Niya had noticed as how his friends Alex and Katelyn were already sitting at the usual table where all of his friends and theirs had always sat at. A sincere smile slowly crept up his lips as he quickly made his way over toward them before taking a seat right across from the two of them. Placing his small brown bag down, Niya had ended up pulling out two medium sized rice balls, a bottle of water and one stick of sweet dumplings. "Hey guys. Want one?" He spoke as he ended up offering out both of his rice balls to both of his friends, leaving him left with only the sweet dumplings and water. "So, do we have any plans for today after school?" He asked right after while he had awaited for the rest of his and their friends to arrive.

While all the students had been gathering into the cafeteria to eat their lunch. Shinji was still within the hallways with one of the football players of the school, the football player had gotten sick of how the group of Blue Jackets were treating everyone around school. He had thought that because none of them were really looking as though they were fully physically fit, that they would be able to beat up at least one of them to show that the football was to be feared rather then them fearing the group of Blue Jackets. The large teenage boy had stood over Shinji as though he were more powerful just because of his size, Shinji's anger was already nearing it's peak as right when the football player had tried to flick him by his forehead. Shinji had grabbed him right by the finger before flipping him right onto his back. Glaring down at the student and easily showing the rage within his eyes, Shinji had slammed his fist into the floor right next to the football player's head only to miss him by an inch or so. The football had laid on the ground with his eyes wide open and his entire body shaking in fear as Shinji began to walk off away from the teenager. Even though he was extremely angered at the moment, he was able to control himself enough not to kill the mortal to know that if he were to reveal who he was, it could end up causing multiple problems with Hell.

Instead, Shinji had began to walk off toward the direction of the cafeteria and only taken him a few moments to reach it as well. By the time he had arrived at the cafeteria, he noticed as how his 'friends' were already at the table, as usual Lucy had gotten plenty of lunch that could feed an entire family. Chandler on the other hand didn't look really any different but knowing him, he was probably loaded with money from stealing it once again. Shinji on the other hand had made his way over toward one of the lunch tables of a bunch of random students as he had grabbed a tray of food that one of the students was about to begin to eat. Right as he had taken it, the boy had turned to look over at Shinji with a face as though he was trying to get it back. Quickly turning his head to shoot the boy a glare, the poor boy simply turned back around and lowered his head knowing all too well that it was bad to annoy Shinji anymore then he already was. Making his way straight over toward the table where Lucy and Chandler were, he took a spot next to Chandler and began to eat his own food. "Where the hell are the rest of them?" He stated with his voice easily showing much anger after what he had dealt with in the hallway.

Katsu at this point was making his way already to the cafeteria with an unlit cigarette in his hand. He had planned to smoke it when he had gotten to the actual cafeteria and once he was at the usual table where the rest of the Blue Jackets had sat at. Katsu, being the sin of Pride rarely cared for his so-called 'friends' at all nor did he really care about the group he had created. The only reason to making the group was so that he could gather all the sins together and try and corrupt if not kill the virtues from the face of the planet. Nearly every student and staff member of the school knows about Katsu being the leader of the group called the Blue Jackets and especially fear him because he controls the group itself. It had only taken him about a minute or so to finally reach the cafeteria as he headed straight over toward the table where the rest of the sins sat at. Rather then sitting down, he had leaned against the wall beside the table and pulled out a lighter from his pocket. Lighting the cigarette, Katsu raised it up toward his mouth and smoked a single puff out of it before blowing it in the direction of where the other virtues sat at. He easily knew all too well who they were and what his mission was to do, it was only the fact that he couldn't just wipe them out right now was what annoyed him.

Liza had been standing in the cafeteria waiting in the line-up for food, she had watched as the three members of the Blue Jackets had taken either others food or money. To her it was just a horrible sight, those people needed to eat too. She put extra food onto her tray and bought it without a second though. She went over to the kid who Shinji took the whole tray from and gave him half of the extra food she had bought saying “I know it’s not much but it is better than nothing, I’ m sorry about what happened”. She then turned before even waiting for him to say anything back and went over to the table where Lucy had taken some food and put the rest of the extra food she had bought in the middle saying “Hope this makes up for it, Sorry”. It was a regular occurrence that Liza gave away her food or bought extra for people. To her what the Blue Jackets did wasn’t right and she always felt bad for the people who fell victim to them.

Walking to the table where her friends were she sat down at an open seat and smiled saying “How have your mornings all been going?” she then started to eat what she had left over. She knew that most of the group wasn’t there yet but lunch had only just begun and that they would all arrive in due time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~
Kiara had been the last one out of her class as everyone else was in a rush to get lunch, she on the other has knew that it wasn’t all that important to rush besides it would only add to the bustling bodies that had been trying to file out of the classroom. Once she had made it to her locker she grabbed her lunch then proceeded to the cafeteria. The halls had been slowly moving in both directions some trying to get out and others in. She never really cared how long it took her to get somewhere as long as she got there eventually it was fine with her.
Having the cafeteria doors in sight she slipped through them and made her way over to the table where the other virtues were sitting and took an open seat. She placed her lunch on the table and smiled saying “Afternoon, you guys” before she began to eat her packed lunch.
Just at the head of the lunch line,Hunter Night,the physical manifestation of the sin Lust,was getting his lunch.He flirted shamelessly with the lunch lady,earning him two trays full of food.Hunter knew he wasn't going to eat all of it,but he wanted to flirt for it anyway.He headed towards the table where the other Blue Jackets were sitting and sat down.He passed his second lunch tray over to Lucy,who had clearly already bullied food out of other innocents."Enjoy.Maybe you'll repay me later,eh?" He said suggestively,giving a wink and a flirty smile to the others."So,what's going on?" He asked the others,taking a bite of a sandwich from a bagged lunch he had charmed out of a younger girl earlier.
Across the cafeteria,Rosemary Baker,who was also the virtue Charity,was handing out food to all the kids who had had theirs stolen by the Blue Jackets.She gave some to a rather large group of kids who couldn't afford lunch,as well,like she did every day.Once she had handed out everything she could give,she went and took a seat with the other virtues."Hey guys.Does anyone need some milk,I've got extra." She offered,holding out a carton of milk to anyone who wanted it."I'll need to bring even more tomorrow,I almost ran out again." She added,seeming not to care at all that she had no food.She glanced over at Niya and blushed a little,hoping he didn't notice.They had all been friends a long time,and she had been crushing on Niya for as long as she could remember,but she was far to shy to act on it.
Todd Greene,the virtue of Kindness,walked into the cafeteria wearing his soccer uniform,his long braid swaying down his back.Todd preferred to keep his hair in that style,though he could never explain why.He was just used to it.He had been in gym class when the bell rang for lunch,and hadn't had time to change.It didn't matter much to him either way.He gave a kind smile to everyone who caught his eye as he walked to the table where he and his friends sat every day.He sat down with his brown bagged lunch and smiled at the other virtues."Afternoon everyone.What are we talking about?" He asked politely,not wanting to interrupt whatever conversations were going on."Does anyone want to come over my house after school? My parents said it was alright." He added as he pulled a sandwich and juice box out of the paper bag.
Lucy continued to effortlessly stuff her face with all of the food that she had, so she wasn't doing too much talking. Chandler wasn't very hungry at the time, though, so he ate his sandwich and gave chips and an apple to Lucy. "I still wonder where you even put all that," Chandler said, noting Lucy's thin frame. He then turned to Shinji who was right next to him, and he seemed unhappy as usual. "They'll be here soon, man," Chandler said, then continuing to count his newly-obtained money before sliding it into the pocket of his blue jacket.
At that moment, Chandler noticed Katsu come over and lean against the wall. He nodded to him and smirked. Katsu was basically their leader, even before the sins were turned into humans. He could be mean sometimes but the others respected him, and all of the sins had flaws, anyway, right? Hunter then came over, and Chandler nodded at him. He gave Lucy some food and Chandler laughed at this. Lucy swallowed after Hunter spoke to her and said,
"If you're lucky," with a laugh before opening the chips that Chandler had given her. Love was another thing Lucy could overindulge in, but she would get that less because she was younger and not as attractive as the others. But has it happened? Definitely, once she bullied someone into it.
The virtues' table was filling up already as the friendly students made their way over and took their seats. Everyone was so kind to each other there, as they were everyday.
"Salutations, everyone," Katelyn said. "I take it everyone's having a wonderful day? It's seemed particularly nice, at least for me." She then looked at Rosemary and simply smiled. "You are so generous. It definitely helps out, since the Blue Jackets keep taking everyone's food everyday." She frowned.
Alex smiled at Liza and stared for a second, but he then caught himself and blinked before anyone could take an obvious notice. He waved to everyone and greeted everyone. "Hey, if everyone is alright with going to Todd's home, I would be all for it." He smiled and took another bite of his lunch.
Meanwhile, back at the Blue Jackets' table, Lucy shook her head as she watched the virtues.
"Look at them over there," she said, rolling her eyes. "Hey, when are we gonna strike?" She looked at Katsu with annoyance and eagerness both present in her eyes.
A young girl with dark black, wavy hair cascading down her back, a blue jacket, and a short purple skirt casually strolled into the Cafeteria. As per usual, she had been lounging around and wandering around listlessly, and therefore had been one of the last people into the Cafeteria. This girl's name was Séraphine, but that was way too long and kinda hard to pronounce so she went by her Japanese name instead, which was Setsu. As you can already tell, this girl is extremely lazy. That's because she was the sin of "Sloth". Lazy and unwilling to do any real work, she still somehow manages to maintain top grades, even though she sleeps through at least half of her classes. At first glance, you'd think that she was a model student, not one of the members of the school's notorious and feared group, the "Blue Jackets".
Setsu glanced at the long line for the Cafeteria's school food, and decided that she didn't want to wait that long for her lunch. By that time, she'd be deathly hungry and the lunch period would almost be over. So, instead of jumping in the back of the line to buy her lunch, she simply grabbed some random fellow student's tray of food and started eating the food in the tray with her slender fingers right in front of the poor girl she took the food from. One of the girl's friends opened their mouth to protest, but before she could, the tray of food was dropped onto the protester's lap. "Gross, who wants to eat this crap?" Instead, she took the bagged lunch of the girl who had tried to stick up to a Blue Jacket for her friend (And was now covered with mashed potatoes and chicken). Inside the bagged lunch was a sandwich and an assortment of snacks and drinks. Jackpot.
"Bye." With a wave of a hand, Setsu walked off to the table where the rest of the sins sat, not even noticing the hateful stares that she was receiving from other people in the Cafeteria for what she had just done. The virtues were particularly shocked at what had happened, and one of those goody-two-shoes appeared to be helping the victims of Setsu's bullying out by giving them more food. "Hey, guys." She greeted the rest of the Blue Jackets, then opened up the bagged lunch and started to eat. Lucy, Chandler, Shinji, Katsu, and Hunter had been waiting at the table. Setsu had arrived just in time to hear Lucy ask about moving in on the Virtues. "Soon, hopefully." She bit into a chip. "All this waiting is tiring, even for me."
While Niya had passed out his two rice balls to both Katelyn and Alex, the sound of other kids beginning to thank someone had caught his attention. Turning his head over toward the direction of one of the tables that many of the other students had sat at, which had their food taken from them, Liza; another one of his own friends had been giving out extra food to the others who had their lunches taken away. A light smile came across his lips as he knew nearly all of his own friends had always tended to try and help the other students when they were in need of it due to the Blue Jackets causing mischief. It wasn't long till she had made her way over toward the lunch table and asked the others as well as himself what was going on, before he could even say much of anything it had seemed yet another friend of theirs had arrived right on time; Kiara who seemed to had rushed into the lunch room with her own packed lunch with her. "We were just deciding where we were going to hang out when school ends. I'm not even too sure myself right now. Any of you have an idea?"
Right after asking the question, Niya had began to look around the lunch room to see where the rest of their friends were at. They were still missing a couple of members from the group, it had only taken him a matter of moments for his gaze to end up landing onto Rosemary as he saw how she was passing out food to the other students as well just as how Liza was earlier. By the time she had arrived over at their table as well and asking if anyone needed milk, Niya took a look down at his own food and shook his head. "I'm okay, thanks Rosemary." He replied his own answer before beginning to eat a single one of his own dumplings off of the stick. Moments later, Todd had arrived in his soccer uniform as Niya chuckled lightly to see him make his way over causing himself to completely be unaware of Rosemary's face turning red. When Todd had suggested to go over his place after school, Niya had simply nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a plan to me. What do you guys think? It's better then nothing. I could actually use some help with my history homework, if you guys wouldn't mind helping me later."
Shinji had sat at the table as he continued to eat his food while he had awaited for the rest of the sins to arrive at the table impatiently. Right when Chandler had spoken up on telling Shinji that the rest of them would be coming soon, all he could do in return was give him a dirty glare. As usual, he wasn't quite easy to calm down unless he had known for a fact that it was going to cause trouble for the Blue Jackets or if Katsu had became angered that it was annoying him. Noticing how both of those situations hadn't come up yet, Shinji's thoughts were still on what had happened earlier in the hallway with the football player as well as hearing as how the virtues were being so goody goody. It wasn't long before Hunter, the reincarnation of the sin of Lust had arrived at the table and decided to flirt with Lucy a bit. Shinji hadn't bothered to say anything as it was none of his concern nor did he really care for the fact of how Hunter acted. Hearing right after from Lucy, she had asked Katsu when they were going to strike at the virtues was probably the only thing that caused Shinji to look up toward their leader in curiosity. He was also interested in figuring out when he was going to be able to bash their heads in with his bare fists.
Katsu on the other hand during this time was still smoking his cigarette as he kept his back against the wall. Even as both Hunter and Setsu had arrived toward the lunch table with their food, he had paid no attention to them and only gave several glances over at each of the virtues as they helped out the other students with their missing food. Pulling his cigarette from mouth and holding onto it in the middle of his palm, he had clenched it tightly till nothing more then a small pile of ash remained in his palm. Turning his attention back over toward the table where all the sins had sat at, his attention was mostly based onto both Setsu and Lucy since they were the ones who seemed to speak up about attacking the virtues. "Shut it. Attacking now will only get us in trouble with the big guy. When the time comes..then we'll get them." he stated before turning his attention back onto the virtues who sat at their table chatting with one another. A small smirk slowly crept up his lips as he crossed his arms and lowered his head a bit. "However..doesn't mean we can't have some fun with them. Don't you think?" Katsu said before a light chuckle had escaped from his lips. "Go ahead and do whatever you want with them...just remember guys. No killing."
Hunter chuckled at Lucy's reply to his flirting.He wouldn't actually sleep with her-well,he would,but he didn't quite want to.He just wanted to flirt at the moment.The others started asking about when they would strike at the Virtues,and he leaned back in his chair,stretching in a way that caught the eye of anyone looking.Katsu told them not to kill the Virtues,but that they could mess with them.Putting his feet up on the table,Hunter smirked."Oh,good.I've been waiting for so long to get one of those chicks into bed.And it would be so easy,too." He said.His first target would be Chastity,of course.That was a given.
Rosemary nodded and put the milk carton on the table where anyone could take it if they got thirsty.As usual,Niya had missed her blush-something she was both relieved and disheartened about.But she got over it quickly and took a bite of her lunch.They were discussing going to Todd's place after school,and Niya stated that he needed help with his History work."Oh,I can help you with that.I don't have any tutoring today,and I've finished all my homework,so it's no problem." She said,jumping on the chance.It was twice the chance for her,both a chance to help someone,and a chance to talk to Niya."I wouldn't mind going over Todd's,either.My dad won't miss me for a few hours at least." She added.She wasn't complaining or looking for comfort,she was just stating a simple fact.
Taking a bite of his sandwich,Todd listened politely to everyone discussing his invitation.They seemed to generally agree that they would go.Taking a sip from his juice box,Todd realized that it was almost gone,and saw the milk carton Rosemary had offered sitting there.He glanced at her,and she nodded,catching the unspoken question.He took the milk and took a sip."All right,so my place after school.Hey,has anyone noticed the Blue Jackets have been even worse lately?" He asked,sparing a quick glance at the Blue Jackets table to see them enjoying their stolen goods.
Lucy rolled her eyes and sighed at Katsu's initial response. "Man! I hate waitin'!" she said loudly and with a mouthful of food. She ate some more as she stared back over to the virtues' table, and she noticed them trying to fix the wrongdoings of the sins. She rolled her eyes once more.
But she then perked up when Katsu spoke again. Sure, there would be no killing... bummer. But toying with them would be even better.
"Awwwww yeeeeeah," Lucy said with a hefty swallow of her food. "Can't wait to get my hands on that Temperance kid. They won't know what temperance even is when I'm threw with 'em!" She smiled, and Chandler laughed, giving her a fist-bump. He himself was also excited about being able to mess with his opposite. He already knew of a way he could revert her into another form of Greed.
"Hey, once I show her how I live, she won't be able to rest. Living like me could make even the most generous person greedy." He popped the collar of his blue jacket and smirked, looking at the virtues again. He then looked at Hunter and grinned. "Yeah, let me in on that action too," he laughed. "You got first dibs on the Chastity girl, but the rest of them are open season." He laughed out loud. He could never get enough girls either. He always was talking to some girl or inviting some girl over. But he had been in few actual relationships.
Alex grinned when Niya asked for help with his homework. Rosemary had volunteered also, but tutoring was one of Alex's specialties, being the valedictorian.
"I could also help, if you would like, Niya. But if Rosemary's got you covered, that is fine." He continued to eat slowly. He was also happy about going to Todd's house after school. He always had the most fun when he was with the other virtues. They all were like siblings.
Katelyn glanced up at Todd when he commented about the sins. She didn't want to believe it, but it was true.
"You're right Todd. I'm so scared of them..." She frowned, not daring to even look up at their table. She was nice to everyone, sometimes even a member of the Blue Jackets when they rarely spoke to her, but she always tried to avoid them.
Setsu pouted at Katsu's first remark. It was true though, they would get into trouble with the boss if they placed one toe out of line. "Jeez, someone's a little grumpy." She huffed, then a smirk appeared on her well-groomed face when he mentioned being able to toy a bit with the virtues. Now that was something fun. Hunter mentioned banging one of the girls, and Setsu rolled her eyes. It was a wonder that he didn't have some kind of rare STD by now.
Her eyes wandered over to the table where the virtues sat, eyeing each one by one. They'd all be fun to play with and mess around with a bit, but she knew that playing with her opposite would be the most fun. "I call Diligence," Setsu said, sipping her stolen soda through a straw. "I'm going to make him become like me~" She said the last bit in a sing-song voice, giving Lucy a high-five at the same time.
Kiara sat quietly while everyone else was talking when they said that were going over to Todd’s after school she smiled and waited for a pause in the conversation then said “I think that it is a great idea to go over to Todd’s, it is also a bonus for studying”. She looked once more around the table while she went back to eating, it seemed like most of the group was there. Upon hearing the mention of how the Blue Jackets were getting worse she looked over at the table slightly then back saying “They are but it in time they will see how it affects the other students. They will learn, everyone does.” Being the virtue of Patience Kiara always believed that within time everything would work out, and from what she witnessed as a kid that it always did. She finished eating then picked up the garbage from around the table and stood up throwing it out before sitting down again. She listened to the rest of the conversations going on around her. She normally only spoke up when she had something to say and even at that it was only when a pause was in the conversation.
Liza sat listening to the conversations; she was slowly working on eating her lunch at the time. Hearing that they were all going over to Todd’s after school she smiled a little saying “Sorry guys, I have some other things that I have to get done after school today. I wish that I could though it sounds like you guys are going to get a lot done to”. For the past week her mom had been getting worse so she had to get the groceries and other running around before she had to go home. It had been like that all week but she didn’t talk about it, she didn’t need anyone else knowing to her helping others was more important than bring them down. Hearing that the Blue Jackets were getting worse she sighed then said “They are getting worse but at least it is still manageable.” She sighed then continued to eat her lunch, she nodded at Kiara when she took the garbage to throw out.
After Hunter's initial statement about toying with his opposite,the other Sins started jumping on board.Everyone,it seemed,wanted to mess around with their "better half." Hunter finished his lunch and grinned."Check this out." He said,flagging down a random girl who was taking her trash up.She blushed and came over,clearly afraid of the other Sins.Hunter held out his tray."Hey,kid,be a love and take our trash,would ya?" He asked,his voice changing slightly in tone to one that younger girls loved.The girl nearly peed herself,but nodded,eager to please.She took all the trays that needed to be taken and scurried off."Heh.Stupid girl.They always fall for it." Hunter smirked.
Todd listened as everyone talked about going over his house,all except Liza,who had things to do.He nodded and smiled at her."That's fine,Liza.Give us a call if you get done early." He said.He had given his number to all the other Virtues,so they could always call him if they needed to.Some of the others started to agree that the Blue Jackets were getting worse,but it was true that they couldn't do much about it."I know it will all work out in the end,but I just can't help worrying about the damage they will do before that happens."
Rosemary stayed quiet,nodding for Kiara to take her trash.She was listening,and also watching the Blue Jackets.That playboy,Hunter,had just fooled some poor girl into taking all their trash.Rosemary shook her head.If I ever get mixed up with them,please just sedate me.They're so mean sometimes." She said sadly."It;s sad,they are clearly talented-at least,most of them are.They could be so much more than they are.But I suppose there's nothing we can do about it..."
Finishing up the last two small dumplings that had still been on the stick, Niya had flicked the stick over into the trash can from where he had sat at. It wasn't more then a few feet away and in his hand was nothing more then a small thin stick that could easily be broken by a child. Once hearing from Rosemary that she would actually help him out with his homework after school since she didn't have to do any tutoring today, Niya had turned his gaze over toward her with a soft smile and nodded. "Thanks Rosemary. I really appreciate it." Normally Niya wouldn't need help with his homework since he would do some of it during the day in school when the teacher had been explaining about some of the old work, then had finished the rest when he had gotten home. Since his parents were nearly always away from the house due to their jobs, Niya had always either went out with his friends if not stayed home alone. It was rare to ever really see either one of his parents come home from work at all, so today was going to be no different to him.
Right as Todd had spoken up about how the Blue Jacket group had gotten worse, Niya had only taken a small glance over at them for a moment before turning away and nodding just slightly. It had seemed as well from the other virtues that they also agreed on the fact that the Blue Jackets were getting worst by the day. As it had seemed though, Kiara had faith that the group would maybe one day change to good and start helping people. Tilting his head slightly, Niya couldn't help but scratch the back of his own head at her words. "Umm...them seeing how they affect the other students. I kind of find it hard to believe...even so, if they did..it's going to take a long time for them. They're probably going to learn off of the smallest thing first anyway." He had stated before hearing from Alex as how he offered to help Niya with his homework as well. A light chuckle had escaped from his lips as he nodded lightly toward his offer to help out. "Well, I wouldn't mind it..but I don't want to keep all of you focused on me now. You guys should have fun, I'm sure me and Rosemary can handle it for a bit. We'll catch up with you guys right after." The entire time he had spoken, Niya had his thoughts on the Blue Jackets as he felt a strange feeling in his gut that something bad was bound to happen. Without much of a warning, when he had heard from Liza that wasn't going to be able to join them; his smile slightly lowered as he nodded toward her words. "Well, if you can..please join us when you get the chance."
Katsu had stayed glaring over at the table where all the virtues were sitting, he kept his gaze based mostly on his opposite which was Humility. He had stayed silent throughout the entire time he had watched her and the other virtues all the while he listened to the other sins around him speak about who they were going to take as their target. It wasn't too surprising to hear that each one of them had taken the opposite of their sin, it was going to be the same case with Katsu as well anyway. Hearing from Setsu that she had considered him grumpy for the day, even he hadn't bothered to say anything as he gave a deep sigh before reaching into his pocket for another cigarette. Placing the unlit cigarette up to his mouth, he turned his gaze back onto the table where all the sin's had sat as he watched how a young female student came over to take all the trays of food that they were eating and threw them away, thanks to Hunter.
Shinji who had only just recently finished his food stayed in his seat for only a moment before standing up. He hadn't bothered to look at the girl or even say anything about who he was going to take as the virtues for his target. "I'll be right back." His tone still sounding angered as usual, Shinji marched his way over toward the lunch table where all the football players had sat at. It was beginning to sound way too annoying to him from their table that they were talking bad about the Blue Jackets from behind their back. Due to Shinji being one of the sins as well, it was obvious enough that he could hear them chatting their heads off from one of his own abilities as an ordinary demon. Slamming both his hands down onto the table as he glared at each one of the football players, they had all taken their attention toward Shinji at the front of the table as one of them stood up and made their way in front of Shinji. This one just so happened to be the quarter-back as he began to poke endlessly at Wrath's forehead and asking what he wanted with them, as though just because he was part of the Blue Jackets he was one of the big bosses of the school. Instantly, just being poked and mocked for a moment he stayed silent and his rage turned to a large boil from underneath. Shinji knew he was told not to kill anyone, especially the mortals but these students were one of the people he hated the most. "SHINJI!" A loud and deep voice came from the Blue Jacket's table had caught him off guard as he turned his attention over to them. It was Katsu, there was no doubt in his face; Katsu was enraged that if Shinji were to do anything alot of the problem was going to go onto the leader of the group. Without so much as a word, he marched his way back to the table but not before using his own strength to kick the quarterback on his ass, causing him to go flying to the other side of the cafeteria room and hitting the wall with a loud thud. "Thats better. I'm fine now." Were the only words that came from Shinji's lips as he returned to the table where all the Blue Jackets sat at.
Lucy grinned and high-fived Setsu back. "And just think of it," she said. "Once we've either reverted them or killed them, we'll be immortal and all powerful!" Lucy and Chandler both loved the idea of being immortal and also the idea of never being able to be stopped. The virtues were their only obstacle, and once they would be out of the way, the heavens wouldn't have the element to balance the world, and the underworld would take over. And even though Katsu said to wait, that was the last thing Lucy wanted to do. At least poking fun at them would hold her over.
Lucy and Chandler both chuckled when Hunter tricked the girl into taking all of their trash.
"Yeah, you can take all that. But not THAT, I ain't finished with that yet." Lucy still had a whole tray of food left, including the cake she stole earlier. She continued to eat. While Lucy continued to do so, Chandler noticed Shinji get up, but before he could say anything, Shinji was already over to where the football players, other than Chandler of course, sat. They respected Chandler when he was around but hated him otherwise because he always stole the glory from them. He could hear them when they were talking about the Blue Jackets, but he didn't care enough to do anything, and Lucy was too busy eating to even notice. She looked up at Shinji, then blinking and looking at the others. She could only hear the sound of her own chewing, so she was confused on the occurrence.
Katelyn and Alex took notice of Shinji getting up and moving about the cafeteria, and they both tensed, especially upon seeing him go to the football players' table. Alex felt like some sort of fight was about to break out. Shinji seemed to be the meanest member and the most violent one of the Blue Jackets. Out of all of them, Katelyn feared him the most. When she saw him push the football player clear to the other side of the room, she turned quickly to the others.
"Speaking of them getting worse!" she whisper-screamed to the others in a panicked tone.
Chandler smirked when Shinji arrived back at the table. Personally, he felt that the quarterback got what he deserved - no one disrespects the Blue Jackets. No one. Anyone who has done so, most likely, has switched schools, if you get what I'm saying.
Liza smiled at everyone saying “Thanks guys I will try to make it if I can”. She knew that there was a small possibility of her getting out but was glad to know that she could go somewhere if she could. Her head snapped up when she heard something hit a table and looked over at the noise. Seeing that it was a Blue Jacket member wasn’t the surprise but it was when it was one of their members at the football players table it was. Hearing one of the other members yell out for him she quickly glanced over then back at the football table just to see the quarterback go flying across the room. She quickly stood up and looked at the player laying on the ground, before saying “They are getting worse, I haven’t seen that happen before. I’ll be right back though, it looked like it hurt.” She wasn’t necessarily afraid of the Blue Jackets but with seeing that she knew that she would be watching out for others more. She left the table and went over to the quarterback to see if he was alright.
The player seemed to have hit his head pretty hard, and by the way Shinji had made him fly she didn’t doubt it. She helped him a little to make sure that he could stay there while she went and found someone to take him to the nurses to get checked out. Even if he said he was fine she would feel better once someone more accustomed to injuries took a look. Normally she would take them herself but she wanted to say goodbye to her friends first before taking off. Once she found someone to take him to the nurses she headed back over to the table and smiled saying “He should be fine but that’s really bad for around school. But he won’t say who did it, it’s a ‘pride’ issue, can’t admit that he got hurt by one of them”. If anything she strongly hate people who would not set aside their pride to her it was just something that got in the way. She paused for a moment before saying “Anyways I’m going to make sure he made it to the nurse’s office, I’ll see some of you guys in class and maybe once I’m done running around after school.” She didn’t leave yet as she had to pick up her things.
Kiara was going to say something about them learning in time when the whole scene in front of her unfolded. She did have to admit that it was really bad and was glad that Liza had gone to check on him. When she was gone she sighed and said “Well some may take longer than the others but it looks like they have a limit. I mean if they were really that bad would Katsu even step in and stop Shinji. Plus Shinji is stubborn person and quick to act I would expect him to be the last to learn anything.” When Liza came back she looked over at her and smiled saying “That is good to hear, but I wish someone would speak out against them, I mean the people who the Blue Jackets are bullying should it would mean more coming from them.” Kiara was only really afraid of Shinji because of how quick to act he was and how violent he was, but the others only did things that she didn’t like so she wasn’t too scared of them. Hearing that Liza was going to check on the quarterback she smiled and said “I’m glad someone is going to make sure that he gets checked out. See ya around then”. She was going to stay in the cafeteria until lunch was over though.
Hunter stayed silent as the scene unfolded.Shinji was tough to control,and tougher to reason with.Hunter wasn't going to be the one to get in his way.The football player deserved it,anyway.Disrespect could not,and would not be tolerated."Feh.Damn jocks,thinking they're better than us.You ask me,they all need to be roughed up a bit.Teach them some respect." He commented dryly.
Rosemary was delighted beyond words when Niya said that she could help him with his homework."Great,we'll get started whenever you're ready after school.I think-" Before she could finish her sentence,a racket broke out across the room.One of the Blue Jackets threw a football player across the room.Liza went to help the poor boy,and Rosemary shook her head."Kiara's right,someone should speak up.I think we should speak out against them.Think about it.We're like,their opposites.Plenty of kids look up to us.If we took a stand,maybe others would,to,and that would discourage the Blue Jackets." She said.
Todd looked up.The whole scene was appalling,and made him angry-which was a very difficult thing to do.Liza went to check on the football player,then came back and said that she had to go.He raised a hand to wave,and was taken aback by Rosemary saying they should stand up to the Blue Jackets.Rosemary was usually rather quiet,so to hear her speak out so vehemently was startling."Rosemary has a point.Plus,there's seven of us to seven of them.It's like destiny.But I wouldn't do something like that so rashly,if we were going to try it,we would have to plan it out first.Make sure nothing could go wrong.Also,it's all or nothing.Either we all do it,or none of us do.So if it's unanimous,then we scrap the idea.We can talk about it later,at my place.No use getting into it now." He said,trying to appease everyone as usual.
Barely glancing at the flustered girl who had immediately obeyed Hunter's commands, Setsu carelessly threw the remains of her lunch into her outstretched arms. She stared as Shinji got up and started heading towards the table where all the jocks--namely the football players--sat everyday. Setsu gave a little laugh of pity as she knew that whoever Shinji was headed for was going to be in for some big trouble. When Shinji targeted you, you were likely to become hurt, or switch schools. Sometimes it was a mixture of both. If there was one thing that Setsu was sure about, it was that being on Shinji's bad side was worse than dangerous. She watched as the 300-lb pure-muscle football player flew across the room with little effort from Shinji. She could've sworn she heard the cracking of bones against the hard wall. "Ouch. That looked like it hurt."
Hunter commented on Shinji's treatment of the football player, stating that the jocks needed to be put in their place. "Yeah, I agree." Setsu nodded along. The rest of the jocks sat frozen at their table, faces pale. That would teach them, but they would probably forget Shinji's little lesson in a while, and go back to talking shit about the Blue Jackets behind their back. "It's just too much work, though." Setsu said, staying true to her most prominent trait, laziness.
"I do think it's annoying how they talk about us like we can't hear them. It's kind of interesting sometimes, though." She remembered listening in on a conversation the jocks had in class the other time. "There was one time where they thought we were aliens infiltrating Earth and planning to take over." She chuckled as she remembered the moment. "I guess we kind of are, in a way."
By the time Shinji had returned to the Blue Jacket's table and taken his seat once again, Katsu was still leaned against the wall but his gaze was fixed onto Shinji the entire time. He hadn't cared less if the football player was injured badly or even if the student had broken anything, the only reason for his dead glare toward Shinji was because all the sins knew all too well that their mission was to deal with the virtues and not to kill the mortals no matter how badly they truly wanted to. Shaking his head lightly to himself, Katsu turned his attention back across the other side of the room as he noticed how one of the virtues had come over toward the student to see how he was doing before instructing him to go to the nurse. It wasn't any ordinary virtue either, it just so happened to be Katsu's exact opposite as well. By the time the football player had left the cafeteria to make his way to the nurse's office, Humility just so happened to return to her table to speak with the other virtues before leaving to follow the injured football player.
Rather then taking the chance to eliminate one of the virtues at this point, Katsu took his attention back onto Shinji with his dead glare once more. The other sins seemed to had agreed with what Shinji had done, Katsu was the only one to see even with the football team deserving what they had gotten he was still very unimpressed and unpleased with the results. "Don't you dare try that again Shinji. Next time you do something reckless like that..I'm making sure you deal with the big guy. I'm not taking your fall for you." He informed before flicking the cigarette that was within his mouth toward Wrath's face. Even though Shinji was the muscle of the Blue Jackets, Katsu was unafraid of him completely knowing all too well he could take on Shinji with much ease.
Shinji who had sat at the table had a wide smirk across his lips as he hadn't bothered to look back at the student he had ended up tossing across the large room. Many of the other students within the room had either gone silent or had began whispering different comments about whether or not the student was alright as well as spreading rumors around to the newer students of the school that it was one of the reasons why the Blue Jackets were to be feared so much. When Hunter had spoken up about how all the jocks needed to be roughed up, Shinji let out a light chuckle before nodding. "Don't worry Hunter...we'll get them one of these days." He had spoken before raising an eyebrow to what Setsu had said about the footplayers coming up with one of the rumors that the Blue Jackets had come from aliens to take over the earth. He couldn't help but burst into a fit of laughter as he shook his head. "If only we could show them what we really look like...This city would be begging on their knees for us not to kill them." He commented before hearing from what Katsu said about dealing with the 'big guy' if he had tried that again. The only real thing Shinji was ever actually frightened of was the big boss himself in the underworld, he was able to wipe out any of the sins with the blink of an eye if he wanted to. So the thought of dealing with him alone frightened Shinji deep down even though he hadn't showed it physically. "Whatever Katsu. You know he got what was coming to him. I wasn't going to kill him, just wanted to show him whose the big bosses around this pathetic school."
Right after Niya had heard the reply from Liza that she would try to make it to the group after she was done and the reply from Rosemary on the fact that they could start right after school on his homework. The sound of a loud commotion going on within the cafeteria right where the footplayers normally sat at caught Niya's attention instantly. It was one of the Blue Jackets trying to get the attention of the athletic students, within a single moment when another voice had come up from the table where the Blue Jackets sat at. It seemed to be the leader of the group as he had called out to the name of the member that went over toward the footplayers' table. Thinking that everything was going to be settled down right away, Niya exhaled a deep breath. That was until the same footplayer that had stood up was immediately thrown to the other side of the room with such ease. Both of Niya's own eyes widened in shock a slight fear that how one student could have so much strength in one body, let alone one arm.
Listening right after as to how Katelyn brought up the fact that the Blue Jackets had gotten worst once again. Niya quickly turned his attention back to his friends as Liza went over to check on the student to make sure he was alright. By the time she had returned to say her goodbyes and tell them that she was going to go check on the student to see if he was badly injuried, Niya nodded to her and gave a light wave. "Alright Liza, be careful. We don't want you ending up pulled into the problem with them as well."When Kiara had stated that the Blue Jackets couldn't had been all that bad due to the leader stepping in to stop Shinji from doing anymore harm, he nodded once again in agreement. "Kiara's right. I mean, if he was able to do that..who knows how much more damage the rest of them could do all together, but they haven't. So probably somewhere inside them must be some good." Niya explained before hearing from Rosemary and Todd that they both thought of the fact that their group of friends should speak out against the Blue Jackets to show them what they had been doing was wrong. A nervous frown came across his lips as he shifted his gaze between both Rosemary and Todd. "Uhmm..I'm not saying we shouldn't do that...but don't you think thats a bit dangerous?..I mean, if they had tried something like what they did with that other student to us..what would we do? I mean..that other kid got hurt pretty bad, but he is also big..so he can probably take much more beating then us. So what would happen if we took that same amount of strength on our body?.." He had stated before scratching the back of his head only to glance back over toward the Blue Jacket's table for only a single moment and taking his attention back onto his friends. "I'm not saying we shouldn't speak out against them...I'm just saying..maybe we should take things slow, and try other tactics to go against them first..maybe try and gather other students to join our cause? Then maybe we can outnumber them and get them to see the error of their ways?"
Lucy soon finished her food, and was all smiles upon seeing what Shinji had just done. She despised jocks, not really for any particular reason... she just didn't like them. There were some types of people that Lucy just couldn't stand and there would be no good reason behind it. Unfortunately, Lucy was not only the youngest, but the smallest member of the Blue Jackets. She was short, and while she surprisingly wasn't overweight, she was very out of shape and weak-looking. But she had a big mouth, and that made up for it enough. She's the mouth of the Blue Jackets.
"YEAH! YOU GIVE IT TO HIM SHINJI!" Lucy yelled, getting up from her seat and jumping up and down. As Shinji made his way back, Lucy swerved around him and walked to the table beside him. She saw a candy bar someone had and snatched it, walking over next to Shinji. "Man! If only one of these suckers had some popcorn! That'd be perfect for what we just saw!" Lucy paid no mind to how loud she was talking; she was always too loud and certainly very obnoxious. She opened the candy bar and began to eat it. Looking up at Shinji. She then listened to all else going on and simply kept eating.
"Hey, don't be such a hardass," Chandler said with a smile, rubbing Katsu's arm a little bit in a friendly way before kicking his feet up on the table and leaning back. "It ain't like we killed him. Shinji simply put him in his place. Hell knows he needed it!" Chandler put his arms behind his head and sighed comfortably. "I do agree though... I mean, human me looks good and all, but if they saw the real us... damn! I'd like to see someone question us after that." He then glanced over at the virtues, scanning for his opposite and target. He finally spotted her - Rosemary. He was torn between wanting to get in her pants or between showing her the life of greed... maybe both. He smiled, awaiting the day that the sins would be able to make their moves.
Katelyn swallowed uncomfortably as the others discussed their plans for putting an end to the terror that the Blue Jackets instilled over the student body. It did upset her how no one, not even teachers, bothered to stand up to them, but she herself was much too fearful. Though, she did think it was interesting how they were sort of like opposites, and how there were seven of each group... maybe there was some good in this after all.
"We could... try to make peace with them... but uh... they... oh dear..." The shy Katelyn choked a little on her words, as she didn't want to do anything that involved getting close to the Blue Jackets, for fear of her or her friends getting hurt. "You know, we seem to impact other people's lives... maybe we could try to impact theirs? Show them their wrongs?" Katelyn wanted to attack this situation in the most non-violent way possible... she didn't want to end up in a locker... or having to leave the area...
Alex smiled and waved as Liza left, and watched her leave. He sighed sadly as she disappeared, then blinked and caught himself, turning a little red. The redness faded as the discussion went on.
"Perhaps it is necessary to approach this situation logically," he said, pulling out a pad and pen. He began to write down things as he brought them up, outlining them to the group. "If we merely turn everyone against them, they may try to target us, and may not respond well to that. I thought that maybe we should confront the guidance counselor and get help that way, but most teachers here ignores what the Blue Jackets do. Peacemaking could work, but we would have to tread very, very carefully." He got a quick glance over at the Blue Jackets, and then looked away, hoping that they didn't catch him looking at them. He feared them too, but he felt that all problems in life could be solved... logically. As Diligence, Alex was naturally the brain and problem solver of the group. He wanted nothing more than everything to be orderly and not stressful for not only his friends, but anyone.
Hunter shivered a little,not letting anyone else see it.No one wanted to deal with the Big Guy,and just talking about it made him nervous.His fingers twitched a little,as if longing to dance over his guitar strings.He sighed,shaking his long hair out of his eyes."C'mon,guys,lighten up.What's done is done,right? No one's gonna bug us about it;they never do.No need to threaten." He reasoned calmly.
Rosemary frowned a little as the others joined in talking about confronting the Blue Jackets.She nodded,agreeing that confronting them head on would be a bad idea."Ok,so the whole "make peace" route would be safest.But also the most difficult.How would we go about it? We could each talk to one of them separately,but that might be dangerous..." She said,then trailed off as she looked up and saw one of the Blue Jacket's looking at her.She shivered and looked away.
Todd nodded as he listened to the others,his gaze turned inward as he thought."The whole thing is interesting,but a little strange if you ask me.It just seems weird that there are seven of us and seven of them.That we all seem to be exact opposites.Doesn't anyone else think there's something a little too coincidental about the whole thing?" He asked.Todd was always seeing hidden connections in things,even when connections didn't exist.It was just his nature to look too closely.
Liza smiled saying “They won’t pull me into it so don’t worry, their just people who act out differently, the little show doesn’t scare me it only worries me of what could happen.” She noticed Alex wave and waved back as she left the table, she had all her things and made her way down to the nurses office. She checked in and saw that the jock had gotten there safely and had gotten checked out. For that she was glad, after talking to the nurse she found out that he had a few cracked ribs but that was about it. The nurse had asked if she knew of anything that had happened, Liza shrugged then said “He has to swallow his own pride and allow for his defeat to be known as he is the only wall which stands in the way”. She sighed then left, she was only there to make sure he was safe and that was being taken care of not explain the whole story, to her it was his to tell not hers.
Liza then left the office and headed to her locker seeing as she would need books for her next classes she thought it would be best to do so now. While walking she thought about what everyone had been talking about as she had left them. Standing up to the Blue Jackets so that they could see their wrong doings, sure it would be dangerous but it would have to be done and all the other students looked up to them. Why she didn’t know to her everyone was the same and all had their own reasons for what they did. To her the biggest obstacle they were going to face would be the student bodies pride, some would just not let it go, they would rather fight for it then admit what had happened. She reached her locker then opened it grabbing her books saying to herself “Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up.” She had always been one for quotes, always memorizing the ones she saw as the most honest.
Kiara sat and listened to the conversation going on around her, she couldn’t believe her ears, and they all wanted to stand up to the Blue Jackets. When she had voiced the very idea of it she thought that they would all see it as too dangerous. She even thought it was dangerous having seen what had just happened to that poor football player. She looked over at the Blue Jacket table then said “I’m not too sure it would be as dangerous if we separate them, I mean the only time I’ve seen them act out so much was when they were around each other. Sort of like they were showing off.” She looked back at the others saying “The only dangerous one would be Shinji but he just seemed to get hot headed to quickly and likes to go through things quickly.” She shrugged then said “If no one else is willing I could talk to him, I mean I could deal with his temper it is just a matter of waiting him out that is all” She did fear him but she felt like she was going to be able to handle him she could wait him out.
Hearing the mention of it being odd that there was seven Blue Jackets and seven of them made Kiara think for a moment. It was a bit odd but things like that could always happen, to her she had become friends with them so easily as they all seemed so nice easy going. So it could be the same for them. She paused then said “I remember learning that people of same religion, race, or beliefs stick together. So maybe they are all together because of how they decided to treat people, the same goes for us. I don’t see it as a coincidence I see it as people sticking together for personal reasons.” To her it made sense but to others it may not have.
Demmy walked into the cafeteria with sounds of shrieking behind her, nothing like getting one girl mad about a cheating boyfriend to start her lunch period. She was late as usual but to her time it was working for her. She sat down at the Blue Jacket table and smirk saying “Any of you hear the new rumor going around?” She was completely oblivious of what had happened before she had entered the room but she knew that her fellow Sin would have probably have caused some trouble. She had already eaten as she had watched the two girls fight about what had happened it was a show really. They had perfect lives it seemed to her, a little messing around would make them better people… well that is how she like to defend herself.
Demmy looked around the table a little more before asking “So what happened today that has every one of you sending of vibes? Did we get the go ahead to attack those dammed goody goodies?” Looking over at the virtue table she saw one was missing and crooked her head a little, normally they would all stick together. She saw that Todd was there, that made her feel so sick, how he could be so kind even when other people had it better than him. She pushed the thought out of her mind and looked back at her own group before said “Umm isn’t one missing? Does that mean we can get this over with?” To her that would be the greatest news, she couldn’t wait to show that kind kid how nice it was to be on top of the pile or at least until she knocked him down a bit. She thought about it for a bit before thinking that she could use it for her own advantage, he was so very kind after all.
Setsu sat up a bit straighter than usual when the Big Guy was mentioned. His heavy presence usually rendered normal beings too frightened to even see clearly, but even though Setsu was stronger and less easily scared than normal beings, even a mention of him still sent shivers down her spine. Just a bit, but it was there. She squirmed to mask the shiver, and could tell that Hunter was doing the same. Chandler commented on Katsu needing to relax a bit, and Setsu agreed. "Yeah man, he didn't really go that far beyond the set line. Only a bit of damage was dealed, and I'm pretty sure people around here will start to see that we practically run this place."
The sin of Sloth sighed, then noticed a girl heading towards the table of the Blue Jackets. Setsu smiled, this girl was delivering her homework for the second half of the day to her. Yeah, as expected, Setsu is extremely lazy to the point that she forces others to do her work for her. It's not that she doesn't grab the concept of the work or that she's failing the class...she was certain to get straight A's in all her subjects if she tried, but since she got straight A's without trying anyways, she just didn't put much effort into her work. After all, school really wasn't that big of a concern for her. The only reason she even bothered to step foot into this hellhole was because the Virtues had all involuntarily decided to pop up around here.
The girl had stringy, mousy brown hair pulled back in a low ponytail with a middle part. Any girl in the know would know that that was the ultimate crime. She dressed in skechers and some outfit that her mom probably picked out for her. Normally, Setsu wouldn't associate with these types of people, but, well, a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do. The girl tried hard to not stare Setsu directly in the eyes for too long, as many people who had done that before mysteriously dropped from the top of the class to the very bottom, and they just stopped caring about everything, becoming much like mini-versions of Setsu. "Thanks, sweet." Setsu slid the papers out of the girl's hands without even giving her a second look, and the girl speedwalked off, she didn't want to be around that table, especially after what had happened to that football player.
Setsu looked up as Demmy finally arrived at the table, asking about a rumor. "New rumor?" Setsu shook her head, "If there was one, then it was probably overshadowed by what just happened in here, while you were gone." She pointed airily to where the football player was being loaded onto a stretcher to be carried to the nearby hospital. Evidently, Shinji had broken more than just the football player's overly-large ego. "You just missed all the action, though." Setsu chuckled, and stuck out her tongue at Demmy jokingly. "Sucks to suck."
Taking a quick glance over at Chandler as he had rubbed Katsu's arm to try and relax him a bit from getting too worked up over what Shinji had just done to one of the students. He closed his eyes and returned his attention onto the virtues to see if they were going to leave first or if they were going to do more good and try to help out the rest of the students as usual. Just watching them had made Katsu sick to his stomach as the sudden appearance of the final sin had finally arrived at the table only to speak up about a new rumor going around was the only thing that returned his gaze back to their table. It was Demmy, the sin of envy herself had arrived at the table only to speak up about how each one of the others had been giving off a 'vibe' as though something had happened, Katsu remained silent to her question only to answer her second question about attacking the virtues. "Not yet. But it doesn't mean we can't mess with them. Have your fun. After lunch period ends, just don't kill them." He stated coldly before slipping both his hands into his jacket pockets as he heard from Setsu that she seemed to also agree with Chandler that Katsu shouldn't take it too bad.
Shinji at this point was finally getting his nerve back as the speak of the 'big guy' was lightening up a bit. It seemed that all the rest of the sins also wanted Katsu to calm down about the situation since none of them really wanted to think about how the big boss would react if he found out any of them stepped out of line. It wasn't too long before Demmy had arrived at the table talking about a rumor that got him rather curious, if it was yet another bad rumor that would annoy Shinji there was no telling how angered he get let alone if he could stop himself from knocking some heads off. "What rumor?...whats going on now?" He asked as he had his head only slightly tilted over to look at Demmy. Hearing her other questions that came up right after, Shinji simply pointed over at Katsu with a deep sigh escaping his lips. "Nope, according to Shinji..our time isn't here yet. Sadly. As for the one missing, its that old goody goody Humility. She left to go check on some poor idiot or thought they were better then us." He spoke before his clenching his fist, Shinji had grown slightly angered once again at remembering what the football player had done as he nearly was ready to break their table in half. However, closing his eyes for only a moment and taking in a deep breath before exhaling it back out, Shinji was actually able to calm himself down before losing too much of his temper once again.
Niya who listened to everyone's thoughts about what they should do about the Blue Jackets' actions going on had a deep frown across his lips as he couldn't help but continue to look back at them a couple of times. Some of them were staring over at him and his friends which gave him a deep shiver down his spine that they were planning something as well. Leaning close into the middle of the table to see if it would help the rest of his friends to hear without being too out loud, just in case the Blue Jackets had heard them. "Hey you guys..think we might want to talk about this later?...they are looking at us a lot. I have a bad feeling about this, how about we just stick together till we can get to Todd's house later and then talk. I mean..if they figure out our plans right now..they might try something to stop us before we can even get anything done." He whispered silently only just enough for the rest of the table to hear.
Lucy finished off the candy bar and tossed the wrapped onto the tray of a passing student. "Whatevs. Who cares about any dumb rumors?!" She asked as she stood next to Shinji, the short girl barely coming to his chest in height. "Anyone who starts 'em can get their teeth knocked in for all I care." She put her hands on her hips. She didn't care at all what others had to say about her or the other Blue Jackets, and she knew that if anyone was talking crap about her or them, the others, primarily Shinji, would handle it.
Chandler took his focus off Rosemary, then scanned the rest of the virtues. He looked back at the other sins and sighed, smirking. He imagined a time where the sins would be immortal and powerful. And the only thing standing between them and that dream were the virtues. Maybe getting near them after school would work, but he figured they would need a good time to talk with them one on one... or seven on seven... whatever would work.
Alex and Katelyn noticed the sins glancing over too, but they looked away quickly to avoid eye contact.
"Niya is correct," Alex said. "We shall discuss this there. Let us meet next to the football field after school. From there, we can head on."
The bell soon rang and everyone went to their classes. The rest of the school day went normally, as the virtues were working hard and the sins were slacking and terrorizing other students. In gym class, Lucy gave someone a bloody nose in dodgeball; no one knew if it was intentional or not... but it probably was. Soon enough, Alex was standing next to the football field after school ended, waiting for the others.
