I'm now imaging some garden based item called 'Get Thee To The Garden' complete with hose, trowel, spade, earth with little holes waiting for flowers, a packet of seeds, a garden hose, etc)

Omg that would be so awesome. There could be a house background to the very side where there's a faucet on the wall and we can connect a hose to it to hold in our hands, with a separate pose that has water spraying out of the end of the hose.

That sounds like a lovely wish, Seridano. Though I am quite impressed with Duvalian ingenuity in achieving this automated watering system, there's nothing quite like getting your hands dirty in the garden. *cheerful laugh*

Agreed. Speaking of, it's nearly time to start a garden at our new house, it being the first spring here. I've gotten all of the weeds cleared out...well, everything save for the poison ivy that was creeping in along the edges. Once I've taken care of that and fixed the fence a bit (gotta keep the deer and rabbits out), it'll be ready for use!

Not sure yet. I've always shared a garden with my mum and she tended to pick the plants. It'll be nice to have free reign to do as I please. Hopefully I don't go too overboard. ^.^; I've always had a soft spot for lilacs, but it's a small garden and a lilac bush would take up for to much of it. I imagine a few orchids and white lilies might find their way in.

Do you have any suggestions, Nalin?

I think.. starting your own garden should be enjoyable most of all. *smile* So I encourage you to try whatever appeals to you; it's a great way to learn. I might suggest some aromatics, too? Maybe a couple herbs, if you also enjoy cooking? It is quite rewarding to be able to contribute things from your garden to meals!

My grandma has herbs in our garden. Our rosemary bush is HUGE. Seriously. My grandmother loves gardening, so we have a bunch of plants all around the house. Right now they aren't blooming or anything yet, but they should soon. P:

Oh! Herbs are definitely a must, I'd love to have fresh basil, oregano, rosemary, and chives around! Wouldn't mind some fresh garlic either.

I'm not surprised the practical things slipped my mind, there was such a heavy focus on flowers in gardens past, it'll be nice to have a chance to plant things that I can make use of later on. ^.^

It is nice to hear that gardening is carrying on across generations in your family, momochan. *smile* Plants do have a way of connecting the past with the present, for myself as well.

*nods with Seridano* It can be easy to overlook the practical, but.. many herbs can be just as beautiful as what would traditionally be considered ornamental in a flower garden. And ripe cherry tomatoes add quite a splash of color, easily rivaling any red rose. ^^;
