Description: Peppermint hot chocolate made with milk and Nesquik chocolate. To add a peppermint flavor I added an Andy's mint and a peppermint stick.
I never understood why people would use hot water instead of hot milk in their hot chocolates anyway. Milk is waaaaay better!
Haha, well for me it's convenience; I'm in college sharing a dorm suite with five other girls and we only have one mini fridge; there's just not room to keep milk in the fridge just for hot chocolate, especially when we have a water fountain right outside the room.
But agreed, hot chocolate is a million times better when made with hot milk. Whenever I'm home I drink so much it's unhealthy. :)
Alright, I should get to updating these entries! I love that the drink category has started to take off! (:
Faux- Awesome. (: I hope she brightens up and stops being cranky soon. ^^;; Mostly because dealing with a cranky mom is no fun for any members of the household. xD
Rabid- makes sense. I hated only having a mini fridge to deal with. We'd buy half gallons of milk...and they'd be gone in less than a day. -_-
Mellie! I know it doesn't say it in the rules, but I have a picture of my food with me in it, but without my username :(
... are you willing/able to accept that?
Some things don't work out easily when you try to transfer them to food...but it's generally worth it to try out anyway. :3 If something doesn't work you may think of something else to do with it, or a work around for something else etc. :3

Description:My multi-colored (and shaped) Spritz cookies. Traditional Almond flavor (well traditional for Swedish folk). Green trees with sprinkles, red Poinsettias w/red sprinkles and red hots or chocolate chips in the center. And a few red/green "x" patterned ones with chocolate chips/walnuts/red hots, a red/green poinsettia and one multi heart in the middle that has walnuts and red hots on it.
:)
Yay another submission. Now I only have one category left.

Description: Something light and crunchy is nice the week after all those heavy Turkey dinners. I kept it in the Christmas theme by sticking to Christmas colours. The red fish eggs look like tiny Christmas decorations to me. Shiny round red. I put them on a Triskit with some lettuce. Simple yet satisfying. . .plus kinda fancy because it's not something you'd have everyday.

Description: I made Candy Cane Cookies. Their peppermint flavored and colored and twisted together to look like candy canes, I also sprinkled peppermint sugar over the top.
I've been wanting to make this for awhile now, but we never seemed to have everything together, we would ether be missing items or didn't have enough time. It's awesome that I finely got to make them, and that I was able to enter them in the contest!
