I keep a pack of spiral bound index cards to track my projects in. It's not as hectic as it could be! On top of the crafty things I do, I have writing, reading, and playing video games to keep me busy too. If I ever complain about being bored, people just point to my list of projects and give me looks of incredulity. XD Always something to do!

I admire me too. :D

That is an AWESOME idea!! I -always- forget about my half-finished projects. I may have to steal it. :D

Steal it? As if! This is an idea I'd pass out for free on the street corner. Get it while it's hot! Here you go, ma'am, one just for you.

With this most recent set of index cards, I've arranged my projects by craft type: knitting, crocheting, sewing, sewing - fannish, writing - original, writing - fannish, drawing, drawing - fannish.. and so on and so forth. Then I list the projects on the card underneath the card title - "coasters, beer cozies - B-i-L, Ecargot hat - C-chan" - and cross 'em off with a red pen when they're finished.

In the future I might include a date for a deadline next to each project and I'm thinking about writing them down in the order that I want to complete them.

I'm the kind of person who has organized clutter! ^^;; And one of my favorite things to do is find ways to improve the way I organize and do things. How can I maximize storage? Can I make my stitches a bit smaller to get more to an inch?

It wasn't always this way but it's a hobby I picked up as I got older once I realized I could make things easier for myself in my day-to-day life.

It's just kind of become something I needed to do as I've gotten older...because I forget things way too easily lol. And when I was in school, I needed something to keep me organized - I had too much going on otherwise. Forgetting homework was always the worst. So I made sure I didn't! :D

Hahah! The third edge of the wrap is sewn. Now for the next step. ... Which I need to check the instructions for.

Oh my goodness, people! * u * I'm gonna go back and read everyone's replies ~ I'm sorry I wasn't on to speak with you all right away. I was at work, then at dinner, then at Jo-Ann's Fabrics.

I had gone there to ask them about possibly ordering something, mostly to see if it was possible. I had found only one and bought this fabric quarters at a Jo-Anns from Connecticut. I was hoping maybe they could order some through the store in my nearby store (Rochester, NH), but they can't. :( It's because the Fabric Quarters are shipped to them randomly, so even they don't know which ones they will get when they're sent to them.

I really want more of this one too, it's so awesome! It has the Space Invaders pixelated aliens all over it.

I sent an e-mail though to the corporate level like the woman who rang me up said to do, to see if they could try and find more and see if they could help me out somehow. I ended up buying several crochet pattern books that were under $4 and this little "Chibi" needle holder made by Clover.

You couldn't find that print online at their website? I hope that corporate is able to help you out - sucks not being able to find what you want. Worse yet - finding it and not being able to access it.

It doesn't sound like the trip was wasted, however! That's awesome. :D

Yeah, I tried searching online with "Space Invaders" as the keywords, then even tried the sku number on the one I have. Nothing came up. :(

It's probably silly of me, but a few of these little books. . . I only got them because of one pattern I saw inside that I really would like to do. XD

My income is pretty limited so I depend on Ravelry for my patterns. It works out well, though, and if there's two or three patterns I like from the same book, I tend to pick it up for my offline collection.

That sounds like a nice haul!
I miss going to craft/fabric stores.
I just moved so I haven't discovered any yet lol.
This thread makes me want to create so bad! ((:

I found the nearest Michael's, but it's about twenty minutes away. Supposedly the only fabric stores are around there too.
I'm a little nervous about driving around this area, because they are quite different from where I'm from...So I try to stay as close to home as possible, haha.

[Geek]: Yeah, if I still didn't have a job, I'd probably be looking for all the online patterns that I can. I still kind of do, but I also pick up some little books here and there. It kind of helps to see what we have at our store since I work at a Michaels. xD

Have you guys ever heard of BurdaStyle?
They've got a bunch of free patterns, though I don't know if they're crochet/knitting.

Craftster might though! craftster.org, should be it. It's a giant forum, but there's a search function.
I love browsing there for ideas.

I think BurdaStyle might be exclusively for sewing patterns. It'd definitely be worth looking into, though! C:

Crafster is great, too! It's so much fun browsing for ideas, as you said, Arriana.

And of course Ravelry is amaaaazziiiiiiing. XD

Cool, cool, Geek. C: Tell us what you think of it later?

Hey, Amelia. Yes, crocheting is the bomb dot commm. XD What do you crochet? I myself like to make more instant-gratification things like hats.
