Pearl: Oh, yeah, I have a friend who was from Sri Lanka and she learned British English, and is over here in the States going to school - better education - and her pronunciation of things, sometimes leaves me confused, as I'm not used to hearing it that way, and then I go --- "Ohhhh! Kitty means ______ (fill in the blank with whatever she's saying _____!" And then I feel retarded and stupid, but I'm slowly getting better at it. :P

For me languages, spoken languages that is, don't come to me easily. I'm a very visual learner, which is why Sign appeals to me so much. My mum (and dad as well actually) actually doesn't get it at all - she understands a few small signs, but nothing too complex. She's starting to think that she should start to learn some sign so she can understand what I'm saying. *laughs* My roommate has actually picked up more signs than my mum and dad understand (and I've been signing on and off for over 4 years now).

Sounds so much more sophisticated than my major - I'll eventually be getting my B.A. in Deaf Studies.

Sorry, I disappeared so suddenly, I had a class at 1230 to 145 and then had to make a dash over to the coffee shoppe (to grab a bite to eat) and the library to return a book that was actually overdue (oops! XD)

Pharmacology is the study of how chemicals interact with living systems, ;)

Psychoanalysis is complicated ):

Zaza is fine, :D, is what most people on here call me anyway. And, it's a pretty intricate field. Requires knowledge of biology, chemistry, and physics to get your job done. I <3 it.

Alright, and I can definitely see that. My younger brother wants to get his degree in aeronautical engineering, a degree I can ever see myself in either. *laughs*

@Pearl: It's true - it is complicated! It's not the same thing but I had to do a Lacanian analysis of social systems a few years ago - IT ATE MY LIFE.

@HopeLove: That's really cool, a really good friend of mine is on his way towards that degree. I could never do it, but he loves it.
