Graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.

If anyone read my post yesterday about the red tide and the troubles we had at work yesterday, here's a follow up.

http://bangordailynews.com/news/t/ne...705&zoneid=500

Let me ask you all a question, though. Would any of you eat shellfish, let alone ANY food that you just FOUND?!

I know of the guy who's in a coma from this, and I hope he makes it out alive, but my GOODNESS. What was he THINKING?

We lost our whole shipment today, and we don't even deal in the shellfish in question. It was awful today. It wasn't just us with the problem, either. Every quahog dealer in the area. n.n;

The story's long and drawn out, but needless to say I'm grateful to be home. Poor Kinmotsu's still dumping the thousands upon thousands pounds of shellfish at a waste landfill place now.

Oh wow - that poor family - it really is a shame- but I don't think I would eat any food I found floating in the ocean . . .but I also don't eat seafood at all.

I hope they're all ok.

I hope they'll be okay as well, but my goodness. This has caused a right uproar. A complete panic over ALL shellfish. It's just not right. ~_~;;

Whew, am I glad I don't like seafood. I certainly hope everyone involved is/is going to be ok. I don't know the stipulations on what to eat/not to eat since most things that live in the ocean don't even make it past my nose (I only eat canned tuna, figure that one out! haha).

Haha - I'll eat canned tuna as well - and tilapia - that's about it. Ohh. . and sometimes shrimp - but most fish and seafood never touch my plate - and I rarely make or order the ones I do eat.

But I love mac'n cheese with tuna fish and steamed broccoli in it . .yumm

Mmmmm, that sounds soooo good, sia. I am a huge fan of Tuna Helper, myself. They have some really great ones out there. Also, when I was younger I fancied myself an amateur chef and sometimes tuna would be all I could find at the moment. So I'd make concoctions, like tuna with olive oil and white wine vinegar with italian seasonings on toast. Yum. Now I'm hungry.

I love fresh tuna, but I could take or leave the canned stuff. It's not bad, but it's so dry sometimes.

I do absolutely love the "tuna, mac-n'-cheese, veggie" dish though. I always used to put peas in mine. x3

mmmmm @ peas and zucchini. I have always been so good at eating my veggies. (Well, except artichokes, can't stomach those unless it's spinach and artichoke dip.) And yeah... canned tuna is normally very dry, that's why you have to zuge it up and make it special.

I also have a taste for smoked salmon, too. That stuff's addicting if it's done right. n.n;
