Celine Dion "My heart will go on".
Famously made for the movie Titanic.
I always think of my late friends and family.
A great song.
Also quite catchy.

Josh Groban "Dont Give Up,You are Loved".
This man has an amazing voice.
The lyrics get quite deep and close to my heart.
Another good song.

Avril Lavigne "Nobody home" & "Keep Holding on".
Older songs,but still lovely songs.
I grew up with these.

Quote:
What's wrong, whats wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
That's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go, to dry her eyes.
Broken inside.

  • The song that's recently making me sad is "When You're Gone" by Avril Lavigne. I plan to write a fanfic about this, actually. It's hot. I listen to it in my car...and it's like...I get sad, then I realize I can connect it if I write a fanfic about something with it. No hints what it's going to be about though, heh.

The other day, I was in a really sad mood. I was browsing iTunes for death cab stuff, and I came across the vitamin string quartet tribute to Death Cab album. OMgzzz. I downloaded Transatlanticism and What Sarah said. Both of the original songs have made me cry, and so do the orchestrated versions. The songs are just so beautiful. I love Death Cab for Cutie so much, and the Vitamin String Quartet did a WONDERFUL job covering some of their material.

"If You're Reading This" by Tim McGraw...yeah, it's Country, but bite me. D: The radio stations around here won't stop playing it, and by the time I realize it's playing, I have little tears welling up...

I'd have to say the two songs that made me start crying wwere 'Winds Nocturne' and 'Yuki no Hana'. They've got a slow beat, and though I looked up the english lyrics to Yuki no Hana and found it to be (I think) a love song, it still made me tear up, and think it was a sad song ;^;

"Tell Them That's She's Not Scared" by Envy on the Coast. Really, it's not that sad of a song (I don't think so, anyway), and it still makes me want to cry.

There's also another song by Envy on the Coast called "Lapse." That one is sort of sad.

There are also a couple songs by Dropping Daylight that make me sad. "Back to Nowhere" and "Answering Our Prayers." Another song that shouldn't make me sad, but does somehow is "Waiting Through the Afternoon" by the same guys.

hotarubi by dir en grey.
it's basicly about a kamikaze pilot, and i hold a very deep respect for kamikaze, bth in plain and sub,you should have seen me on pearl harbor day!

Quote:
english lyrics~
Only the dusty old photographs,
Days pass
They lit the fire
With the pinwheel play with the child, the tears

Rocking back and forth in the basket the baby laughs.

Aa, goodbye
Aa, the night wears on

The divine wind loses it's divinity
And disappears into the dark
The light of the fireflies which spring
Up on the night of our reunion

I see the image of you in this child you loved,
I'm going to you now, with this child in tow

Aa, goodbye
Aa, the night comes to a close

Only you appear in the midst of the battlefield
Floating on the water's surface.

The divine wind loses it's divinity
And disappears into the dark
The shapes of the lilies blooming
On the night our renuion

The divine wind which lost it's divinity
The light of the fireflies and the flower of the lily blooming
On the night of our renuion.

Um...
Over the Rainbow by The TRAX
It's in Korean... but then I listened to it with a video based on a fanfic called Suicide Note.. and that fanfic is kind of sad, so it felt like the song matched the video.. it's more of the music of the song that made me sad/cry, and not the lyrics...since I obviously can't understand Korean. xDD

I never cried while listening to a song ever.

But when I listened to Gym Class Heroes' 'Faces in the Hall' for the first time, it made me me cry. It really did.

It makes you think about how cruel high school life really is. How students really can be to people that are different from them. It also shows how it can escalate and ruin people's lives. Jesus Christ, man.

I think it's one of their best songs. It's overshadowed by all of their stuff playing on TV and such.

I have several that make me cry. "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan never fails, since I relate that song to the loss of a family member.

I also feel strongely affected by a lot of songs in video games. I once wrote down a list but I don't remember all the songs on it. I know when I hear a song, because it'll make me cry...but otherwise, I don't really think about it.

Zoe Jane by Staind. It always makes me cry because I can so relate to the lyrics. It's something I'm going through for all of my life, and I'm having a hard time dealing with it. Too bad I can only listen to it on Youtube.

the first one is from aerosmith :i dont want miss a thing...
maybe cuz its the ost of armageddon ...and it reminds me on the scene how bruce w.sayin goodbye to his daughter forever and thats somekind sad.

then the second one from David Usher: Black Black Heart-->i love the songtext but its also sad ,cuz very time when im in a bad mood the words makes me to think about my situation how im feeling and then the tears come from my eyes and i realize that im feelin like in the song.

and the last one which is from Counting Crows:
Colorblind
the first time i heard ths song was as i watched Cruel Intentions,i heard it and liked the sound but didnt payin alot attention to the text....the next time i heard it was after the dead of my lovley grandma ...i can really good remember that i was the 5th lesson ,we had Physical education,i sit near the recorder and changed for the other girls the cds and statin there songs for there gym choreography,i hadnt to do this cuz i got a sprained wirst.
Many songs starts and ends ..and then jenny come with her cd and said:here song number 10.
then she walked through the middle of the room gave me a sign that i should start the song ..and i did it. just any seconds later gitty a friend of my asked me wether im ok...cuz i dont realized how the tears come out of my eyes and i couldnt stopp...it just had reminds me on my granny ..how we watched the movei together and that i miss her alot...
it tooks a whole while till i could answer and tell her what was.

.... yeah that are the 3 songs that makes me personally to tears.

Story is on my list as well. As are a good number of his songs, to be honest...

Last Song is a good example...I'm listening to it right now. I'll be crying by the time this post is finished, I know it.

Translated lyrics:
Quote:
I continued wandering aimlessly, all alone
A faint sigh painting a stroke of white
In the ephemeral nature of the changing seasons
Tears overflowed without any reason
"Even now I love you..."

The continually falling sadness changes into pure white snow
Through it all, I raised my head to the sky
Before this body disappears now, if my wish reaches you
Please hold me tight just once more

We didn't understand each other and hurt each other over and over again
Even at those times you were always kind
I cut myself on the suddenly surrendered ring
As our promises to each other were not granted
"Even now I remember..."

The fading memories are too brilliant as always
I wanted to be closer by
We can't meet again but you were always close to hold me up
Just you, don't change yourself

I can't erase those last tears you showed me

Even if I disappear along with this white snow
I want to always bloom in your heart

We held each other close don't forget that warmth
Even if you love someone else
I'll never let go of the sound the last I heard of your voice
I want to fall into a deep sleep
The continually falling sadness changes into pure white snow
Through it all, I raised my head to the sky
Before this body disappears now, if my wish reaches you
Please hold me tight just once more

"Please hold me tight just once more..."

...yes, I am tearing up now.

I love that song. But it does make me sad, obviously. ;-; It's something about the way those lyrics go with the music; it's just...amazingly powerful.

There's also my absolute favorite song...ever. Rain. It has been my favorite song ever since the first time I heard it. I'm just going to link you to the translation page, because there are just too many notes.
http://www.senshigakuen.com/translat...gackt/rain.htm
The effect of a saddened calm, momentarily breaking into hysteria at a few points, is accentuated by the music. It has an eerily relaxing effect for most of the song...yet at a few points, it absolutely gives you the chills. And I love that song to death...but I can't help but cry every time I hear it.

There are more examples I could give, but...I'm probably annoying you already. ^^;[/quote]

"I'll be missing you" by P Diddy, I think.

"When I'm gone" by Eminem.

"How to save a life" by The Fray.

"Gomenasai" by tatu.

"Apologize" by Timbaland.

"Beautiful Disaster" by Kelly Clarkson...

That's all I can think of right now. :(
They don't really make me cry... just kind of sad.

Has anyone ever heard "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle..? It's really sad.. It's about a father and his daughter.. it's really nice.. I've cried quite a few times because of listening to it and getting all homesick..
"The Art of Letting Go" is also sad.. Well, the title says it all.. and although I've never had gotten my heart broken yet, I still find it really sad.. I guess I've cried because of it, imagining what would happen if I do, one day, get my heart broken, or if I'd have to let go of someone special..
Please listen to it, and tell me what you think.. ^_^

"Crusade," by Voltaire. Not only is it a sad song, but it makes you think.

Quote:
Sometimes is never quite enough
If you're flawless, then
you'll win my love
Don't forget to win first place
Don't forget to keep that
smile on your face

Be a good boy
Try a little harder
You've got to measure up
And make me prouder

How long before you screw it up
How many times do I have to
tell you to hurry up
With everything I do for you
The least you can do is keep quiet

Be a good girl
You've gotta try a little harder
That simply wasn't good enough
To make us proud

I'll live through you
I'll make you what I never was
If you're the best, then maybe so am I
Compared to him compared to her
I'm doing this for your own damn good
You'll make up for what I blew
What's the problem...why are you crying

Be a good boy
Push a little farther now
That wasn't fast enough
To make us happy
We'll love you just the way you are
If you're perfect
The first time I heard "Drive" I cried and sometimes I still cry when I hear it.

  • So I found another song that made me tear up a little D:
"Slip Sliding Away" by Paul Simon.
I'm..not entirely sure why. It's just sort of bittersweet, and it struck a chord today.
    I'm a bit odd I guess?

    Quote:
    CHORUS:
    Slip slidin’ away
    Slip slidin’ away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you’re slip slidin’ away

    I know a man
He came from my home town
He wore his passion for his woman
    Like a thorny crown
    He said Delores
    I live in fear
My love for you’s so overpowering
I’m afraid that I will disappear

    I know a woman
    Became a wife
These are the very words she uses
    To describe her life
    She said a good day
    Ain’t got no rain
She said a bad day’s when I lie in bed
And think of things that might have been

    And I know a father
    Who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons
    For the things he’d done
    He came a long way
    Just to explain
He kissed his boy as he lay sleeping
Then he turned around and headed home again

    God only knows
    God makes his plan
    The information’s unavailable
    To the mortal man
    We work our jobs
    Collect our pay
Believe we’re gliding down the highway
When in fact we’re slip slidin’ away
