I listen to the radio, I go on websites and see who my favorite bands affiliate with, and I also look at others recommendations(which I've discovered isn't the best thing to do.)

Mostly the internet and tv. Sometimes from movies.

I generally find my new music on Newgrounds Audio Portal. The Audio Portal on Newgrounds are user-made music so 100% legal (unless they do remixes without the original writer/singer's permission).
I don't know why but I absolutely love some of the songs on there, mainly from certain artists in the categories of Dance, Techno and Trance. Some real gems there.

Either that or I watch a show like Saturday Night Live.

Hmmm I usually hear new music when I go to school, the taxi drivers often listin to some kind of rock / country musics. Also hear some cars passing by and hear loud rap song out of no where :o.

Typically I pick things up from movies. Then there's my friends, since whenever we drive around and hang out we take rotations in playing one another's ipod in the car. After that is my cousin, who will just pop over, be amazed at how little I know of his music (and music in general), and then he dump piles of music on me.

I listen to the radio, surf around the internet, and I have music channels on my television.

I find music through Pandora, which is designed for finding artists similar to your tastes
Also, Last.fm is similar
Searching Wikipedia for lists of bands in genres I think I might like
Going to shows
Listening to my friends' records/mixtapes/mix CDs

i go to youtube and randomly look things up. That is how i found a good amount of my music.

I watch Asian Drama's and I get my music from there. Also on youtube when I am listening to the song and I see the Related Videos. I click them and I will automatically like them. If not I click the back button. ^^ Also from looking up random AMV's to listen too. lol

I try to avoid the radio as much as possible just because the hosts often overplay songs far too much for my tastes, so my means of finding artists and such is through my dad. He and I have identical tastes in music, that being hard rock and such, so he will hear about a band, look it up, and tell me if it's good or not. In truth, this doesn't lead to much branching out, but I'm perfectly content with my bubble!

I have friends who are really into random music scenes, so they usually hook me up with new music. I also hit up Imeem a lot and listen to people's playlists!
